Triple layer Elements of Style and Papillon Potpourri

Hi again,

I made this card for my sisters birthday using Elegant Eggplant and Very Vanilla card. I stamped the flower from the Elements of Style stamp set using Wisteria Wonder ink. The Happy Birthday from the Itty Bitty Banners was stamped with Elegant Eggplant and cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits, and used Stampin Dimensionals to attach to the card.

The butterfly was stamped from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set using Illuminate Glimmer Watermark ink, which you can find in the Holiday catalogue, then punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch. A bit of bling was added to the body.

I hope you like this card, another simple but elegant card.

Till next time

Little Friends

Hello again,

Today's card is a cute little one for a little girl using the Little Friends stamp set. I like to make cards with different folds, but this is just the normal card with 3.5cms cut off the left side of the front, then a rectangular piece on top of that. I used Whisper White, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink and Pink Pirouette card stock, with Regal Rose ink. I embossed with the Delicate Designs folder then sponged with Champagne Mist Shimmer paint and then sprayed it onto the piece with the little girls and Birthday Wishes to give a lovely shimmery look, although may not be real noticeable on the photo. I sponged around the edges with Regal Rose. The Birthday Wishes is from the set Bring on the Cake.

That's all till next time.
😊Happy Stamping😊

Ornament Keepsakes

Hi again,
Yes it's getting to that time of the year so over the past few days I have been designing some Christmas cards, especially as I have just received the ornaments keepsakes stamp set and Framelits Dies. There will be so many things that these can be used for.

Whisper white was used for the card base, then Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green which I embossed with the Delicate designs folder at the top. After I cut out the baubles I felt the bottom part needed something so instead of recutting the baubles, I actually used the bauble with the lovely design and pointed bottom and stamped with Raspberry Ripple onto this shape. It worked well - the top didn't match but was covered with the silver glitter paper. For the silver, I cut the top half then used the scalloped border.
I stamped Merry Christmas with Versamark and used silver Stampin Emboss powder. The string is Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine.

I hope you like this card. Looks great with a bit of sparkle and the traditional Christmas colours.

😊Happy Stamping😊

Trifold wedding card

Hi all
I have a wedding to go to so this is the card I have made for the lovely couple.

I used an A4 piece of shimmery white card stock. On the longer side I scored at 9.9cm from each end. Cut and score as shown below and fold as shown in the first photo.

I used Bashful Blue and DSP (retired). I punched the bashful blue with the hearts border. The hearts were punched, and the shimmery white heart was embossed with the vintage wallpaper then added 3 Pearl Jewels. The 2nd heart was cut in both Shimmery White and Basic Black. I cut the black heart in half then cut a small wedge. I then glued the small part to the remainder of the heart which makes it look like the lapel of a suit. I then added 2 pearls. On the lapels I added Crystal Effects for a glossy finish. Congratulations is from the Curly Cute stamp set, and the Petite Pairs is the other set used. The papillon Potpourri butterfly was stamped with gold and punched with Elegant Butterfly. Creative Elements stamp set was also used on the Bashfull Blue on the right side of the open card.

Enjoy making this card.

Owl builder and Boho Blossoms

Hello
The owl is so popular and everyone loves them and can be used on so many cards. This card uses Pacific point, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla card stock. I cut the Cherry Cobbler and Very vanilla using the Adorning Accents Edgelits and embossed with the co-ordinating Adorning Accents Folder. I also embossed the front of the owl with the hearts from the same set. The owl was punched with the Owl Builder, and the other punches used were the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch as well as Boho Blossoms punch and the co-ordinating stamp set - Language of Friendship - for the flowers. The love sentiment is from a retired set.

Till next time,
😊Happy Stamping 😊

Countryside

Hi All
Today I'm using the Countryside stamp set again. I love using texture on my cards so use the embossing folders on many of them, so have used two different one on this card.

I cut the Naturals White card 10.5cm x 21cm, scored at 7.5cm. Then embossed the smaller part with Woodgrain and brayered with Crumb Cake, then sponged around edge with soft suede.
Early Expresso card was cut at 12.5cm x 9.5cm and attached to the inside of the naturals White card. Crumb Cake card was cut at 21cm x 8.5 cm, and scored at 11.5cm, and the smaller fold was embossed with Stripes Folder, and sponged the edges with Soft Suede. This was then attached to the early Expresso card. A small piece of Early Expresso -5cm x 6 cm was attached to the left side of the card using dimensionals on the left side only to allow the flap of the crumb cake to tuck under. The wheelbarrow and rooster were stamped with Soft Suede on Naturals White card, with a hit of red on the roosters comb and the bird, also Wild Wasabi ink for the grass. Punches used were 1 3/8 "circle and Decorative Label. Sentiment was from Itty Bitters Banners Stamp set and Framelits.
These photo show how the card opens.

Till next time

Countryside

Hi everyone

It's time for a male card, especially as I have the new Countryside stamp set to play with. I embossed with the Woodgrain folder onto the Naturals White card, then brayered with Crumb Cake ink. I used Soft Suede to stamp the truck and colored the apples with Cherry Cobbler. I sponged and distressed the edges. The apples were stamped with Early Expresso onto Cherry Cobbler and I also sponged around the edges. I layered these with Early Expresso and DSP (retired) and used an antique brad to continue the vintage look. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and Framelits.

Hope you like it.

Till next time

Dinoroar

Welcome everyone

All boys love dinosaurs so what a perfect set for one of my Grandson's birthday card. Base card is Crumb Cake. The other colours are Old Olive, Pacific Point and Cajun Craze and Very Vanilla. Happy Birthday is from Best Dad Ever.

Ink colours are Soft Suede, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Basic Black and Old Olive.
For the pop up, cut the Old Olive 5" x 5 1/2". On the 5 1/2" side, Score at 1/2", 4" and 4 1/2" and assemble as shown below. I cut slots in this card before assembling to the base card. I placed the dinosaurs on a small piece of card, approx 2" x 3/8", (this will depend on the size of the images.) Score at about 1/2" at one end and bend to allow this to be glued to the base after being put through the slots. Make sure before cutting the slots that the dinosaurs will remain inside the card when closed.

Using the grass image, stamp on an extra piece of Old Olive and tear along top and tape to front edge of pop up.

This was a fun card to make and my grandson loved it.

Thanks once again for visiting

Elements of Style

Hi

Today thought I would challenge myself by using the same stamp but get 2 different results.

This card I used Perfect Plum ink on the same colour card. This gives the image a couple of shades darker than the card stock. I then added a piece of DSP(retired) and Pretty in Pink on top of the Elegant Eggplant base card. Punches used are 1 3/4" scallop circle and 1 3/8" circle. Sentiment also from Elements of Style Stamp set.

This card uses the same stamp set but used the Stampin' Write Markers - Raspberry Ripple and Gumball Green - to ink the image before stamping on Whisper White card. Don't forget when using the markers to ink your stamps, before actually stamping, breathe heavily on the inked areas so it will stamp perfectly. This is particularly important on larger stamps when it takes a while to add the ink and the parts first inked may have started to dry. This moistens the ink again. Also had to add some of the Raspberry Ripple ribbon I received from "spool time" promo. The Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and Framelits are used for the "congratulations". The scallop border and corner punches were used on the Raspberry Ripple card on 2 sides. I added Dazzling Details Silver Sparkle in the middle of some of the flowers. Base card is Gumball Green. Love these colours together!!
I was delighted with the 2 different look these two cards have using the same stamp from Elements of Style. Hope you do too.

Thanks for visiting today, call again soon.

Don't forget about the Spool Time promotion. Check it out here at www.lesleyjendra.stampinup.net. Please contact me if you would like any Stampin' Up products or would like to hold a Workshop.

Delicate Doilies

Hi
This is another stamp set which I haven't used all of the stamps from - the Delicate Doilies, so have used them today on Perfect Plum and Very Vanilla card. I stamped using Elegant Eggplant ink. I stamped the smaller image then cut with the circle punch and placed it on the larger image using dimensionals. I punched the scalloped border in Basic Black to mat the very vanilla card. The top sentiment was also one I hadn't used before. The base card was Basic Black. Rhinestones were used in the centre of the doily and on the right side of the card.

This stamp from the four Frames set and this sentiment from Bring on the Cake are also part of my challenge to use those unused stamps. The colours are Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black and Very vanilla. The Decorative Label punch and pearls were also used.

I have enjoyed this challenge using some of my unused stamps and am happy with the results with some lovely cards.

Four frames and decorative label punch

Hello
As I said yesterday, I was going to use some stamps I have never used before. Well today I am using the four frames stamp set. I have used 2 of the stamps regularly, but have never used this one with the bird. Not sure why because I like the finished card. I have of course used some new products as well. I received a delivery today and in that was the new Essentials Paper Piercing pack, so just had to use it with this stamp using the oval shape. The border stamp from Creative Elements Stamp set, I think I have used once on a scrapbooking page so decided to use it as well. Another challenge I gave myself was to use colours I rarely use. I tend to use a lot of brighter colours, so today went for some subtles. Also checked the colour coach and went with the recommendation of Soft Suede with Certainly Celery and of course Very Vanilla. I used both the Woodgrain and Fancy Fan Embossing Folders and the Decorative Label punch.

I have used the bird from Language of Friendship quite often but have never used the feet, or the sentiment from Elements of Style. So here is the next card.

Card stock used is So Saffron, Wild Wasabi and Very Vanilla. Punches are Decorative Label, Scallop Oval and Bird Builder. The Fancy Fan embossing folder was used and reversed on the so saffron.

Thanks for visiting

Baby card

Hi
A couple of months ago I went to a card class at my friend Susan's place, and she showed a technique using re-inkers and using baby wipes to apply the ink onto the paper.(you can check out her blog on Susan's Saga). It was done with blue, pink and yellow inks, making stripes, vertically and horizotal, which made the finished product look like a baby's bunny rug. It was then embossed with the square lattice folder. This is the card we made. Looks great doesn't it!

So I decided to try using sponge daubers to apply the ink and using the ink pads instead of the re-inkers. I only wanted a very subtle colour so I used bashful blue, pink pirouette and daffodil delight- very lightly. When I applied the pink in the opposite direction to give a check pattern, it didn't show up so I lightly added calypso coral and I was happy with that result. So this is my version....

All supplies are Stampin' Up
Card stock: Melon Mambo, Glossy White
Inks: Pink Pirouette, Bashful Blue, Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Melon Mambo
Stamp sets: Button Buddies, Baby Prints, Petite Pairs
Accessories: Button(retired). Square Lattice Embossing Folder, 1-3/8" circle, dimensionals.

I have decided to set myself a challenge. Many of my stamp sets I have my favorite stamps that I use regularly, but some I have never used one or two of the stamps from a particular stamp set. I am sure many people do the same, or am I the only one? So my challenge is to use the stamps I have never used. When making this baby card, I realized I had never used this rattle stamp and most of the images from Button Buddies. That is when I decided to set this challenge for myself. So over the next week or so I will see how many "new" stamps I can use.
Thanks for visiting.

Vintage wallpaper embossing folder

Hi
I have used the Shimmery White card stock for today's cards. I love the shimmer on this paper for special cards. I also used Cherry Cobbler to add just a hint of colour. I embossed using the Vintage Wallpaper Folder. For the with sympathy card I used the scallop from the Adorning Accents Edgelits
before embossing. The butterfly is from the Beautiful Wings Embosslits with Rhinestone Basic Jewels added to the body.

The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch was used for both cards but only revealed half of the "ribbon" on the top and bottom of the Sympathy card. Four frames stamp set was used with the Best wishes from the Petite Pairs stamp set.

I hope you like these simple but elegant cards as much as I do. Thanks for visiting my blog and hope you will check in again soon.

😊 Happy Stamping 😊

Forever Young

Hi
When trying to decide what card I would make today, I was looking at my card stock and come across some Brushed Silver. As it's some time since using this, thought it was time to get it out, so I matched it up with Real Red and Basic Black. I stamped the clock from Forever Young Stamp set with versamark ink and embossed with black embossing powder. I then used the Square Lattice Embossing folder. I stamped the base card, again using versamark for a subtle image of the tree from the same stamp set. Best Wishes sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set and used the Modern Label punch , which I then cut the right hand side off. I used the Top Note Bigz for the Real red card. What would we do without the Big Shot!!!

"Spool Time" is here....... For every $60 that you spend on Stampin' Up products this month you receive a free spool of ribbon from the new In Colours. To place an order just contact me.

Card stock used is basic black, cherry cobbler and the new naturals white. The Adorning Accents Edgelits were used on the black card, then I embossed it with the stripes folder. Cherry cobbler bakers twine was used as well as an antique brad. Very quick and simple for a last minute card.

Triple layer card, Creative Elements and Language of Friendship

Hi
Today I decided to make some triple layer cards which are very popular at the moment. The first one I made using Creative Elements and Language of Friendship Stamp sets, and punched the bird using bird builder punch. The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs Stamp set and the punches I used were 1-3/4 " scallop circle and 1-3/8 circle. A small pearl was used for the birds eye.

Then I thought I would see what the same card looked like but without any stamping on the top whisper white card to allow the bird to stand out a bit more. I liked it!

The third card I decided to limit the amount of stamping and added the elegant butterfly using the Papillion Potpourri stamp set. A bit of bling was added to the butterfly and the right hand corner using rhinestone basic jewels. I really like this one!!. This shows how you can do 3 similar cards but they can all be different just by changing one or two elements.

The card stock used is Midnight Muse and Raspberry ripple, as well as gumball green in the top two cards, all from the beautiful new in colours and of course whisper white.

Happy stamping
Lesley.

Baby Prints and fold out card

Hello

I have made this card many times over the years, especially for special occasions such as weddings and engagements. Today I decided to make it into a fold out mini album using photos of our youngest Grandson. Isn't he adorable! I used the Baby Prints Stamp set for the hand and foot prints as well as the sentiment on the front. Also used the Baby Bundle stamp set for the small embellishments.
This shows the whole card opened out.

Then showing some close ups.....

And this is the front cover.

...and the card/album partly unfolded...

I used the Baby Tees wheel on the Pacific point and Poppy Parade card but it hasn't shown up very well in the photo. I embossed the punched hearts with the hearts from the Adorning Accents folder. I have used both current and retired Stampin' Up products in this card.

That's all for today
Happy stamping
Lesley.
