The Open Sea and MDS

Hi to everyone,

What do you do if you want to use DSP for a card but don't have just the one you want? Solution - print it using My Digital Studio. That is what I did for this card.

I wanted to make a card with black and red but didn't have any DSP in black that was suitable for what I had in mind. I checked out the MDS and found these 2 papers and printed them on Whisper White card. The other advantage of this is you can change colours or make changes to suit. Why not try it, it is so easy. Don't have MDS? - you can get a free trial - just contact me for info.
The other card stock used for this card is Basic Black (#121688), Real Red (#106578) and Very Vanilla (#106550). The stamp sets are The Open Sea (#123032) and Tiny Teeny Sentiments. The boat is heat embossed with Real Red (#126949) and versamark (#102283). The punches used for the sentiment are Word Window (#119857) and Modern Label (#119849).

Thought for the day-

Thanks for taking the time to look at my cards. I hope I have inspired you.

Till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊
Lesley.

Natural Composition Specialty Paper

Hello again,

I thought I would try sponging Whisper White Craft ink (#101731) onto the Natural Composition Specialty Paper (#126917), then wiping over with a tissue to remove the ink from the glossy patterns. This highlighted the pattern on this paper which I liked.

I then mounted it onto a piece of Tangerine Tango card (#116206), which is attached to the Early Espresso base card (#121686). The flowers from Flower Shop stamp set (#130942) were heat embossed using versamark (#102283) and White embossing powder (#109132), then punched with the Pansy punch (#130698). The leaves are from the Bird Builder punch (#117191) using Gumball Green card (#127543). The ribbon is Gumball Green Stitched Satin (#126848), Happy Birthday is from the Itty Bitty banners stamp set (#126257) and Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267) and also using the White embossing powder.

Thought for the day-

Hope you have a great day.

Till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊

Framelits and Timeless Talk

Hi Stampers and Crafters

I embossed the Midnight Muse card (#127546) using the Chevron embossing folder (#127749). Then using the Brayer (#102395) I applied the Illuminate Glimmer Watermark ink (#126857) to the card to highlight the embossed area.

This was then taped to the Very Vanilla card (#106550). The stamp sets used for this card are Timeless Talk (#126607) and Bring on the Cake (#121958). The Framelits are Circles Collection (#130911) and Apothecary Accents (#127003). The ink is Midnight Muse (#126860). Stampin' Dimensionals are used to attach both the sentiment and the phone to the card.

Creative Elements and Very Vintage

Hello,

The Creative Elements stamp set (#122647) and the Very Vintage Wheel (#117693) go nicely together as shown on this card.

Firstly I embossed in the top left corner using the oval frame from the Designer Frames folder (#123140). I then stamped with Island Indigo ink (#126986) with Birthday Wishes from Bring on the Cake stamp set (#121958). This is when the Stamp-a-ma-jig (#101049) comes in very handy to make sure the sentiment is in the correct position. This is one tool I just can't stamp without.
The Very Vintage wheel was used on the base of the card. Then I added a piece of card which was punched with the Scallop Trim Border (#118402), then Crochet Trim (#118481) attached, so just the scallops are shown.
The flowers from Creative Elements were fussy cut and added to the card. One was attached with tape and the other with Stampin' Dimensionals. The card stock used is Island Indigo(#124390) and Very Vanilla (#106550)

Thought for the day-

That's all for today,

So till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊

Papillon Potpourri

Hi and Welcome,

For the Butterflies on today's card I used Vellum card stock (#106584), Crushed Curry ink (#131173) and Clear embossing Powder (#109130). This was heat set with the heat tool (#129056).

I used the 2 different size butterflies from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set (#123758), and punched with the coordinating punches - Elegant Butterfly (#127526) and Bitty Butterfly (#129406).
The card stock used are Crushed Curry (#131288), Early Espresso (#121686), Pistachio Pudding (#131299) and Whisper White (#106549). I stamped the background using Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (#130517) and Early Espresso ink (#126974).
I used the Chevron Border Punch (#132154) to punch the Pistachio Pudding card. I then punched a piece of Crushed Curry card and used the punched out pieces to glue onto the Pistachio Pudding card.
The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#122497) and cut out with a tag from the Hearts a Flutter Framelits (#130159). I attached a Candy Dot (#130934) to the tag. Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) were used on the body of the Butterfly. The butterflies were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Gift Bow Bigz L Die

Hello Stampers,

I have used this beautiful bow on today's card. The Gift Bow Bigz L Die (#129977) is from the holiday catalogue and I know this will get a lot of use, especially with Christmas not far away.

Card stock used is Whisper White (#106549), Strawberry Slush (131300), Gumball Green (#127543) and Silver Glimmer Paper (#124005). Love is from the Expressions Thinlits Dies also in the Holiday Catalogue. A hint when using these Thinlits, put a piece of baking paper between the card and Thinlits. This makes it much easier to remove the card from the Thinlits. Push a paper piercing tool through the holes to help remove the card.
I cut the bottom edge of the strawberry slush with the Large Scallop Edgelits (#127019) then embossed with the Delicate Designs Folder (#127023).

Thought for the day-

Daydream Medallions

Hello again,

I tend to use my favourite products regularly, so today I am using a stamp set I haven't used for some time, although it is one I really like. It is the Daydream Medallion and I particularly like to use it with layers.

I firstly cut the shape using the matching Floral Frames Collection Framelits (#127012) on the Coastal Cabana base card (#131302). Then using Whisper White card (#106549), I stamped the image from the Daydream Medallions (#126467) using Pumpkin Pie ink (#126945). I attached this to the inside of the card using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Then I stamped 3 more images from the Daydream Medallions using Coastal Cabana (#131175), Crushed Curry (#131173) and Pumpkin Pie inks and cut each with the Framelits. Each layer was added using Dimensionals. I then made a small flower using Simply Pressed Clay (#130685) and Buttons & Blossoms Mould (#131272) and glued to the centre. I sponged some Coastal Cabana ink on the flower.
The Happy Birthday is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set (#126707) and cut using a tag from the Chalk Talk Framelits (#129983). I added a piece of Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain ribbon (#126877) to the tag.
I consulted the Colour Coach (#130118) to help decide on the colours for this card.

Thought for the day-

Have a great day,

Dress Up

Hi everyone,

The Dress Up Framelits (#130101) and the beautiful Glimmer Paper makes a stunning outfit for this card.

I cut the dress from the Red Glimmer Paper (#121790, then just the top of the dress from the Silver Glimmer Paper ( #124005). I then cut a little piece from the front, so it looks like a little jacket. This was attached to a piece of Basic Black (#121688) which was cut with an oval from the Ovals Collection Framelits (#129381) then a frame from Real Red card (#106578). The Black card was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder (#117335). The Itty Bitty Banners stamp set(#126257) and Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267) were used for the sentiment. Silver Embossing Powder (#109131) was used on Whisper White card (#106549), then this was mounted using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) on a piece of Real Red Stitched Grosgrain ribbon (#126875). The base card is Brushed Silver (#124918).

White Simply Pressed Clay with Flower Shop

Hello friends,

I love monotone cards, so after yesterday's card I decided to do another one but added a small amount of silver to this card.

I used Whisper White card (#106549) with a small amount of Brushed Silver card (#124918), between the base card and top piece. I embossed using the Fancy Fan folder (#127751), leaving the bottom part of the card plain. I added Whisper White (#126877) Stitched Grosgrain ribbon. The flowers are from Flower Shop stamp set (#130942) and heat embossed using the Silver Metallic Encore ink (#132142) and Silver Embossing Powder (#109131). These were added to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Then I decided make some little flowers using the Simply Pressed Clay (#130685) and the smallest flower mould from the Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Mould (#131272). Using a dauber I added some silver Encore ink to the clay flowers and glued them to the centre of the Pansies. Petite Pairs (#122497) is the stamp set used for the sentiment, and cut using the Hearts Collection Framelits (#125599). I sponged around the heart with the silver ink before attaching to the card with Dimensionals.

Sympathy Card

Hi,

I needed a Sympathy Card for a friend, so this is today's card.

I used Shimmery White card (#121727) and embossed (using a retired folder)a piece slightly smaller than the base card. The sentiments are from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#122497), using Gold Metallic Encore ink (#132141) - from the holiday catalogue - and Gold embossing powder (#109129). I cut the sentiments with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911). The Cross (also a retired stamp) was also gold embossed. This was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The flower trim is also retired - but we do need to use these products at some stage.

Whisper White (#106549) and Raspberry Ripple (#127545) is the card stock used. The images are heat embossed with Gold embossing powder (#109129) and I used the Gold Metallic Encore ink (#132141) from the holiday catalogue. Raspberry Ripple ink (#126859) was used for the frames around each image. I used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the Happy Birthday. The Postage Stamp (#122344) punch cut the images. The base card was embossed with the Stripes folder(#123128).

Very Vintage Wheel

Hello,

I have used the Very Vintage Wheel on both the Whisper White and Pistachio Pudding card.

I cut the front of the card 3.5cm shorter on the right hand side, then added a piece of Strawberry Slush card (#131300) which was cut using the Finishing Touches Egdelits (#127010). Using Pistachio Pudding ink (#131177) and Very Vintage Wheel (#117693) I rolled the image on the Whisper White Base card and the Pistachio Pudding card for the front. The Flowering Flourishes (#126367) image was stamped on Whisper White with Strawberry Slush ink (#131178) and this was attached to a piece of Strawberry Slush card. I used one of the Needlepoint Border embossing folders (#129383) on the White card. This was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Thank you is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (#126257) with the Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267) to cut it out and also attached with Dimensionals.

Triple Fold card

Hi everyone,

Today's card is the same as yesterday's but I have put the DSP on the front of the card instead of inside and changed a few little elements.

The stamp sets used are Papillon Potpourri (#123759) and Petite Pairs (#122497). Adorning Accents (#125601) was the embossing folder used on the Very Vanilla card(#106550). Punches used are Decorative Label (#120907) and Postage Stamp (#122344). The Rich Razzleberry DSP is Polka Dot Parade (#126902).
To cut the circles, I cut the larger one on the front first. Then closing the card I placed the smaller circle in place, holding in place with a post it note. Then i opened out the card so you only cut through the one layer.

This is the opened card-

Triple Fold card

Hi and welcome again,

I have been having a big clean up in my craft room. I came across a card I made many years ago which was the inspiration for this card.

This is as it is opened up......

And then fully opened.....

The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550), with Real Red DSP from Polka Dot Parade (#126902). The card is 30 x 15 cm and scored at 10 cm and 20 cm. I glued the DSP onto the card before cutting the circle. Make sure you rub the glue over the entire piece of DSP, so that once the circle is cut it stays bonded. The circle for the front is one larger than this circle with the DSP. The Circles Collection Framelits (#130911) were used to cut the circles.
The flower was stamped using Versamark (#102283) and Basic Black ink (#126980) on Real Red card (#106578). I then heat embossed with Iridescent Ice (#101930). This was then punched with the Pansy Punch (#130698) and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).
The punches under the sentiment are Decorative Label (#120907) and Artisan Label (#130920), and the Happy Birthday is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (#126257) and the Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267) used to cut it. Inside the card I used the words from Petite Pairs (#122497) and punched it with the Postage Stamp punch (#122344). A piece of Basic Black card (#121688) was used behind this.

Thought for the day -

“If opportunity doesn’t knock, build a door.”

That's all I have for today,

Till next time,

Joyful Christmas

Hello,

I am using the beautiful Joyful Christmas stamp set (#131805) from the holiday catalogue for today's card. Yes, I am starting on Christmas cards - it's never too early.

Card stock used is Gumball Green (#127543), Real Red (#106578) and Whisper White (#106549). Embossing folders used are Woodgrain (#127821) for the Gumball Green and Perfect Polka Dots (#117335) for the Real Red card. The red card was cut with one of the Framelits from the Label Collection (#125598) before being embossed.
The flower was stamped with Crushed curry ink (#131173) and heat embossed with clear embossing powder (#109130). I hand cut this and attached it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details (#125585) were used for the flower centre.
" Merry" is cut using the Expressions Thinlits Dies (#132171) Also from the holiday catalogue. Tip: use waxed paper between these thinlits dies and card to make it easier to remove from die, as well as using a paper piercing tool to remove the card from the die.
"Christmas" is from the Joyful Christmas set. I just inked Christmas using a Real Red Stampin' Write Marker (#100052), as I didn't want the rest if the image for this card, stamped onto Whisper White card then cut and sponged the edges.

Chalk Talk

Hello and welcome,

Chalk Talk (#130634) is one of the stamp sets used on this card.

Using Basic Black card (#121688), I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with White embossing powder (#109132). The coordinating Chalk Talk Framelits (#129983) were used to cut this, and then attached this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The Crushed Curry card (#131288) was stamped with Off the Grid (#130736) using Basic Black ink (#126980) and Gorgeous Grunge (#130517) using Crushed Curry ink(#131173). I punched with the Chevron Border Punch (#132154) - (from the holiday catalogue), on Basic Black card and attached the cutouts onto the card - a great way to use the pieces after punching a border on another project. The ribbon is Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain (#126872) and attached with Glue Dots (#103683)

Chevron Border Punch

Welcome everyone

Today's card highlights the new Chevron Border Punch from the new Holiday catalogue.

Using Very Vanilla card (#106550) I punched twice on 2 sides using the Chevron Border Punch (#132154). Then using each of the colours from the Polka Dot Parade DSP (#126902), I cut a small piece and taped at the back of the cut outs. I then attached Real Red Stitched Grosgrain ribbon to the centre, then added the sentiment. Firstly, I stamped with an image from Gorgeous Grunge (#130517) with Crumb Cake ink (#126975). Happy Birthday from Bring on the Cake set (#121958) was stamped using both Versamark (#102283) and Real Red ink (#126949) and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder (#109130). This was then cut with one of the Framelits from Chalk Talk (#129983). I sponged around the edges with Real Red and used Real Red Candy Dot(#130931) with a Candy Dot Brad Base (#132293). The sentiment was then attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The base card is Real Red (#106578).

Flower Shop

Hi everyone,

Today's card uses the Flower Shop Stamp set (#130942). The bottom layer of Whisper White card (#106549) was stamped with the Flower using Illuminate Glimmer Watermark Stampin' Pad (#128333) for a delicate image.

I used one of the Labels Collection framelits for the top layer, then embossed with the Honeycomb folder (#129378). This was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The 2 Elegant Eggplant (#108614) flowers were heat embossed with Silver emboss powder (#109131) and versa mark (#102283). The base card is Wisteria Wonder (#124389). The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (#126257) with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969) and using the Bitty Banners Framelits to cut. Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) were added to the centre of the flowers.
