Today I am honoured to be part of the Creative Blog Hop. I was asked by Susan Luke of Susan's Saga if I would participate, so thanks Susan. We met through Stampin' Up! and we enjoy attending each others classes where Susan always has great projects for us to make.
As part of this Creative blog hop I have been asked the following 4 questions.
1. What am I working on now?
I am constantly designing cards for the blog and classes, as well as scrapbooking as I have monthly card classes and weekly scrapbooking classes. I also make gift cards so always have something I am working on. I am also working on Christmas cards and decorations and planning on some full day Christmas workshops.
2. How does my work differ from others in my genre?
I'm not sure how my work differs from others, but I usually like to make cards that are "pretty" and not overdone. I love to use embossing powders, embossing folders and adding dimension to the cards. The same with scrapbooking, I like to highlight the photos rather than putting great emphasis on too many embellishments.
3. Why do I create what I do?
I enjoy the challenge of creating something that others appreciate because it is handmade and unique. I am often told that the recipients of my cards don't throw away my cards as they really appreciate the work that has gone into them and they look forward to receiving them.
4. How does my creative process work?
This varies from one card to another. Sometimes I have an idea because of something I have seen whether it be a card or something else that has given me inspiration. Sometimes I decide to use a particular stamp or designer paper and go from there. The end result may be exactly as I imagined from the beginning or a totally different design.
Now I would like to introduce you to 2 other talented ladies so please visit their blogs.
Firstly is Angie Jones from Angies Craft Fusion- another passionate Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.
I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator since June 2010 - wow, over 4 years now......time sure flies when you love what you do.
I just love sitting in my craft room and creating, it is my way of de-stressing from what the day may have sent my way!
I am married to a very generous man who allows me to get lost in my crafting and will start dinner or hang out the clothes as I just have to finish this little bit! We have two teenagers, one son and one daughter, so we get to experience all that puberty has to offer. The youngest member of our family is our Adopted ex-racing greyhound who I am sure has his own puberty issues and fits into our family as though he has always been here!

My second blogger is Nicole Cosgrove - a very busy mother of three who loves card making, scrapbooking, kids craft and cooking. She is also my youngest daughter.
Her blog is Little Pieces of Mee.
Hi, I'm Nicole Cosgrove. I've been doing crafty things since I was a kid, and I love card making and scrapbooking as well as kids craft and baking. I'm a mum to three young kids who keep me very busy, as well as working part time. I don't get to do as much crafting for myself as I would like to, but instead I spend a bit of time each week being crafty with my kids - my eldest daughter has the creative genes too and loves craft too. My blog covers the things that I enjoy doing so its more than just papercraft. I share my love of papercraft with my mum, Lesley Jendra, who is a Stampin' Up!demonstrator.
Thanks again Angie and Nicole for being part of this Creative blog hop.
Now, my card for today.
As you know I had an operation on my hand last week. I thought it would only be a couple of days (wishful thinking) that I would be out of action but still can't do much with it. However, I always have a box of leftover embellishments so this is what I have used on today's card to make it easier. I had the 2 flowers and leaves so it was easy to find the DSP to match and went from there.
I embossed the Whisper White card (#106549) with the Decorative Dots folder (#133520). Happy Birthday from Sassy Salutations (#c126707, #w132070) was stamped with Garden Green ink (#126973). The Framelits used are the Starburst (#132967) and Circle Collection (#130911), using Calypso Coral card (#124392), Pistachio Pudding (#131299) and Gold Soirée DSP (#133697). The flowers are from the Flower Shop stamp set (#c130942, #w130939) and Petite Petals (#c133155, #w133152). These were heat embossed with Versamark (#102283) and Gold embossing powder (#109129). The punches for the flowers are Pansy (#130698) and Petite Petals (#133322). A Rhinestone Basic Jewel (#119246) was used for the centre. The flowers were assembled using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The leaves were punched with the Bird Builder punch using Garden Green card (#108605). These were glued with the 2-way glue pen (#100425).
As I said earlier, I like to use embossing folders, embossing powders and dimension and I have just realised I have used all these on this card.
Don't forget to check out Angie and Nicole's blogs and continue on this Creative blog hop each Monday.
Thanks again for visiting and hope you have a great day.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping,
Lesley.
