Boys Will Be Boys

Hello and welcome,

An easy card for a boy today using the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set (#c134138, #w134135).

The Cardstock is Daffodil Delight (#121680), Basic Black (#121688) and Whisper White (#106549) with Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (#138434). Both the Robot and sentiment are stamped with VersaMark (#102283) with Black Stampin' Emboss Powder (#109133) which is heat set. This was then cut out with the Lots Of Labels Framelits (#138281). I added Candy Dots Brad Bases (#132293) and Candy Dots from the Brights collection (#130931). The labels were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Butterfly Basics

Hello,

Not sure if this card fold has a particular name but it looks like a normal card till you open it. Hopefully the recipient knows how to display it. I made some Christmas cards like this a couple of years ago and I found out later most people didn't realise this was how the card was meant to be. I think I should have sent instructions with the cards.

The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550) and I have also used Real Red card (#106578) and Timeless Elegance DSP (#138444). I scored the front in the centre of the card to be able to make the fold, before embossing with the Elegant Dots embossing folder (#138287). The labels were cut with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits (#127012) and Happy Birthday from Sassy Salutations stamp set (#c126707, #w132070) is stamped with Real Red ink (#126949). Only tape the bottom part of the label to the card to allow the card to be be displayed as shown.  I added some Metal Rimmed Pearls (#138394) under the sentiment.
The flowers are from Butterfly Basics stamp set (#c139950, #w138694) and were stamped with Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180) on the inside of the card.  I also stamped the flowers using Real Red ink on some scrap card, hand cut them and placed them on top of the already stamped flowers using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). This holds the card in place as shown.

Here are this weeks WEEKLY DEALS. Check them out and if you would like to take advantage of any of these specials just let me know.

Have a great day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Awesomely Artistic

Hello again,

The flowers from Awesomely Artistic stamp set (#c139950, #w138694) have been heat embossed with VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Embossing powder (#109131).

The Cardstock is Melon Mambo (#1199980) and Whisper White (#106549). The sentiment from Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #c139167) is stamped with Melon Mambo ink (#126948). The butterfly is cut with the Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135) and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The ribbon is Silver 1/8" Ribbon (#132137).

Today's Tip:
With the more intricate Framelits, here is an easy way to remove all the little pieces. After running the Framelit and card through the big shot, the card is still attached to the Framelit. Using tumble dryer sheets, fold them till you have 4-6 layers. Place the Framelit onto the sheets and run through the Big shot again making your "sandwich" as usual.

Remove the Framelit and the card is still attached to the dryer sheets. These sheets have a waxy surface which is why the pieces stay attached.

Carefully lift the edge of the butterfly and the small pieces will stay attached to the card. You don't have to push all those pieces out. There may be an odd one or 2 that you have to remove.

You will find this so much quicker, especially on the larger butterflies.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Beautiful Bunch

Welcome,

This flower is from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set (#c134282, #w134279). I used Rose Red card (#108613) and Rose Red ink (#126954). The flower was punched with the Fun Flower (#133785).

The base card is Whisper White (#106549), and I also embossed a smaller piece with the Modern Mosaic folder (#129984). The gold leaves were cut with the smallest leaf from the Leaflets Framelits (#138283) from Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719). The gold in the centre of the flower is cut with a Framelit from the Flower Fair Farmelits (#133731). Happy Birthday is from the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set (#c139958, #w139171). This is one of the Hostess sets. The ribbons are Gold 5/8" Satin Ribbon (#134547) and Gold 1/8" Ribbon (#134583).

Glimmer Paper

Hello,

I made this card for my daughter's birthday. Hope she likes it.

The base card is the Whisper White A4 Thick cardstock (#140490). This was embossed with the Fluttering Embossing folder (#139304). The Elegant Eggplant card was cut with the Circles Collections Framelits (#130911), then embossed with the Elegant Dots folder (#138287). The bow made with the Bow Builder punch (#137414) also uses the Elegant Eggplant card and I added a White Perfect Accent (#138416) to the bow. The ribbon is Gold 1/8" Ribbon (#134583). I cut the butterfly from the Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719) using the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360). The sentiment is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#139167) and stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969). This was cut with one of the Chalk Talk Framelits (#129983). This particular Framelit was a bit long for the sentiment so once I cut it, I re-cut one end off.
I then made an envelope using the white from Neutrals Envelope Paper (#138310). I stamped some butterflies from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set (#c123759, #w132058) on the envelope.

Have a good week.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Scrapbook page

Hi everyone,

Today I have a quick template for 2 scrapbook pages. I've been away and haven't had a chance to get a lot done.

The small circles are cut with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911). The larger circles and scallop are cut with an electronic cutter. If you have lots of smaller photos, the top page is ideal - this fits up to 9 photos. The colours and DSP of course would be chosen to match your photos.

That's all today,

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

The Open Sea

Hello,

The Open Sea stamp set (#c123032, #w128454) is used on this masculine card.

The ship is stamped with Pacific Point ink (#126951). I stamped on the Crushed Curry card (#131288) with Crushed Curry ink (#131173) and the sentiment also used Crushed Curry. The other cardstock is Pacific Point (#116202), Basic Black (#121688) and Whisper White (#106549). I used the Tags and Labels Framelits (#138282) for the sentiment and ship and these were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The Chevron Border punch (#132154) was used to punch the Basic Black card.

Here are this weeks WEEKLY DEALS. Sorry I'm a bit late with them but still time to order as they are available till next Tuesday.

I have used Crushed Curry card (#131288) as well as Very Vanilla (#106550). I embossed with the Elegant Dots folder (#138287) on the Very Vanilla card. I stamped the bottom butterfly with the Watercolour Wings stamp set (#p139424) using Soft Saffron ink (#126957), Crushed Curry ink (#131173) and Early Espresso (#126974). I used the Bold Butterfly Framelits to cut this butterfly. The top butterfly was cut with the Butterflies Thinlits from Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719). Both butterflies were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The lace is Sahara Sand Lace trim (#137866). The sentiment is punched with the Washi Tape punch (#138296).

Guy Greetings

Hello again,

I'm back after a busy 3 days catering for a high tea with the help of my daughter. I do enjoy cooking but it's also nice to be back in the craft room. Today I have made a masculine card.

The colours I have used are Very Vanilla card (#106550) with Soft Suede card (#119982) and ink (#126978). I used the Brick Wall embossing folder (#138288) on the Very Vanilla card. Before embossing, I brayered Soft Suede ink onto the folder so the embossed areas of the "grout" we're coloured. Then using a dauber (#133773) with Soft Suede ink I lightly coloured the bricks. The Lots Of Labels Framelits (#138281) were used, and I stamped on these with the Guy Greetings stamp set (#c138828, #w138825, #p137178). One of the lovely Antique Brads (#117273) was added to the top of frame. The frame was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Here are some photos of some of the goodies from the high tea - all home baked.

Have a great day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Awesomely Artistic

Hello Stampers,

I often use the stamping off method when stamping and by doing this you can double the ink colours that you have. The flowers and Friend on this card were stamped as normal. The butterfly and dragonflies (on the background) were done with the stamping off method.

The base card is Whisper White (#106549) and I have also used Watermelon Wonder (#138341) and Basic Black (#121688). The DSP is Everyday Chic (#138445). The ink is Watermelon Wonder (#138323). The flowers, dragonflies and sentiment are all from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set (#c139959, #w138694) and the butterfly is in the Kinda Eclectic stamp set (#c135350, #w135347). The Bitty Butterfly (#129406) was used to punch the butterfly and the Washi Tape punch (#138296) was used for the sentiment. The circles were cut with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911). I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) to the butterfly and sentiment. The bow is made from 1/8" Silver Ribbon (#132137) and attached with Glue Dots (#103683). I used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) for the circles, butterfly and sentiment.

Tip of the day: I am sure most know what the stamping off method is but in case you don't , this is what you do. Just ink your stamp as normal, then stamp onto scrap paper then stamp onto your card. This gives you a lighter image. You can also stamp the first image on your card, then stamp again on the card to get the 2 colours. The darker colours allow you to do even 3 or 4 images. Just play with your inks and stamps to see what effects you get.

Hope you are all staying warm,

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Watercolour Wash

Hello,

After making the card for today on the Whisper White base card (#106549), I was undecided if I wanted to add some more red to the card, so decided to make one with the Real Red base card (#106578).

The background has been stamped with the Watercolour Wash stamp (#c139538, #w138708) using Smokey Slate ink (#131179) with the stamping off method. The flourish from Everything Eleanor stamp set (#c124164, #w131987) was stamped with Garden Green ink (#126973). I added a piece of Everyday Chic Designer Washi Tape (#138385) to the bottom of the cards. Happy Birthday is from Tag Talk (#c134252, #w134249), stamped with Real Red ink (#126949) and punched with the Label Bracket (#132153). The butterfly is cut with the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360) from Red Glimmer Paper (#121790). The butterfly and tag are both attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

I'm still unsure which I like best. Which one is your favourite.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Then using Everything Eleanor stamp set (#c124164, #w131987) I stamped the flourish with Garden Green ink (#126973). The flower is from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set (#c134282, #w134279) and I used Crushed Curry ink (#131173). The coordinating punch for the flower is Fun Flower (#133785). A White Perfect Accent (#138416) was added to the flower centre. Happy Birthday is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) and also stamped with Crushed curry ink. Boys Will Be Boys

Hello,

I have embossed the Very Vanilla base card (#106550) with the new Brick Wall folder (#138288) for this boys card. But before embossing, I used a Brayer (#102395) and rolled some Sahara Sand ink (#126976) onto the folder. When the card was embossed, the ink is pressed into the embossing.

The Pacific Point card was embossed with the Decorative Dots folder (#133520). Real Red card (#106578) has also been used. All the images are from the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set (#c134138, #w134135). The inks are Pacific Point (#126951), and Real Red (#126949). The circle was cut with one of the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911). This was then attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Lovely as a Tree

Welcome,

I hope you are all keeping warm in this cold weather. I'm enjoying the cooler weather. I find it's easier to keep warm than trying to keep cool when it's hot.
Now for today's card, the tree is from Lovely as a Tree (#c127793, #w128655).

The base card is Cucumber Crush (#138342). The other cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Tip Top Taupe (#138343). The patterned paper is from the Envelope Paper 2015-2017 In Colour (#138312) which was left over from an envelope I mad last week. Happy Birthday and Dad are from the Guy Greetings stamp set (#c138828, #w138825, #p137178) and stamped with Tip Top Taupe ink (#138325). The tree was stamped with Cucumber Crush ink (#138324). The trunk of the tree was coloured by applying Tip Top Taupe ink with a blender pen (#102845) to the stamp. Alternately, you can use the Stampin' Write Markers (#138333). The little tag was cut from the Tags and Labels Framelits (#138282) and I added a Mini Brad (#122941) to the tag.

Have a great day, and stay warm.

Bohemian DSP

Hi Ladies,

Don't the lovely bright colours look great on the Bohemian DSP (#138446) which I have used on today's card.

This is the card when opened-

The Hello Honey card (#133685) was cut at 10.5cm x 30cm, folded in half, then I cut a piece 5.5cm off the front right of the base card. This piece was then used for the horizontal piece. I then added the DSP to the front of the card and on the right side of the base. I also taped a piece of Whisper White (#106549) inside the card which I stamped the flowers from Birthday Blossoms (#c139471, #w139167) using Hello Honey ink (#133643). The flowers and sentiment on the front are also from Birthday Blossoms stamp set. The inks used are Bermuda Bay (#131171) and Rich Razzleberry (#126950) which are the colours in the DSP. The flowers are punched with the Pansy Punch (#130698) and the Rich Razzleberry flower was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Have a great day.

Timeless Elegance DSP

Welcome everyone,

The new Timeless Elegance DSP has beautiful designs and one of my favourites is the one with the roses that I used for this card. I have had a very busy week so needed just a quick card today which this one is.

The rose was coloured using Real Red ink (#126949) on a dauber (#133773). The Cardstock is Very Vanilla (#106550) and Real Red (#106578). I stamped the Thank You from Circle of Spring stamp set (#138964) with Real Red ink and the tags were cut with the Tags and Labels Framelits (#138282). I used a Candy Dots Brad Base (#132293) and Candy Dot from the Neutrals collection (#130934) for the tag. This tag was then attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Happy Stamping!

Wonderful Wreath Framelits

Hello,

Today I stamped onto Vellum Cardstock (#106584) using the Circle of Spring stamp set (#138964) for this pretty wreath.

Firstly I embossed with the beautiful Elegant Dots embossing folder (#138287) on the Whisper White card (#106549). Using a piece of the Color Me Irresistable Specialty DSP (#138439), I coloured this with a Sponge Dauber (#133773) and Bermuda Bay ink (#131171). Then just rub over with a tissue to remove any excess ink from the glossy white areas. The ribbon is 5/8" Silver Satin (#134548). The wreath is heat embossed with VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Embossing powder (#109131) on the Vellum card. To colour the flowers I used a variety of Stampin' Write markers on the back of the embossed image. This gives a subtle colour. The wreath and bow were cut with the coordinating Wonderful Wreath Framelits (#135851). For the bow and tag I used Bermuda Bay card (#131286). The little tags were cut with the Tags and Labels Framelits (#138282). I used a Mini Brad (#122941) on the tag. The wreath, bow and tag were all attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

This week's WEEKLY DEALS  are now available, so make sure to check them out.

Fluttering embossing folder

Hello and welcome,

The new Fluttering Embossing folder (#139304) is a 15.2x15.2 square so decided to make a square card the same size.

I have used the  new Whisper White Thick Cardstock (#140490) for the base card. I find this thicker white card great for card bases. I used the Banner Triple punch (#138292) for the banners. The card used for these are Cucumber Crush (#138342) and Whisper White (#106549). Happy Birthday from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) and the leaves from the Vintage Leaves stamp set (#p138802) have been heat embossed with VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129). The leaves were cut with the coordinating Leaflets Framelits (#138283). The butterflies were cut with the Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135) and Butterflies Thinlits (#137360). For the smaller butterfly I used Gold Foil Sheets (#132622). I added one of the White Perfect Accents (#138416) to the butterfly. The ribbon is the Cucumber Crush 1" Dotted Lace Trim (#138423).

Well that's all today,

Sympathy card

Hi,

Simple but elegant is what I want for a Sympathy card and that's what I achieved with this card.

I used the Shimmery White Card (#121717) and I gold embossed using VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129). The stamp sets used are the Corner Garden background stamp (#c134048, #w134045) and Petite Pairs (#c122497, #w128706). I punched the sentiment with the Label Bracket punch (#132153) and as usual I attached this with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The gold card is Gold Foil Sheets (#132622).

Today's tip: Don't forget to use the Embossing Buddy (#103083) before heat embossing. Wipe the buddy over your card before stamping. This prevents extra powder or glitter sticking to your project.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Watercolour Wash

Hi Ladies,

The Watercolor Wash background stamp (#c138538, #w138704) has been used for this background as well as the the splatters from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (#c130517, #w130514) using Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180).

The butterflies from the Watercolour Wings stamp set (#p139424) are stamped with Calypso Coral ink (#126983) and Watermelon Wonder ink (#138323). These were cut with the Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135) and attached to the butterflies cut with the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360) from Watermelon Wonder card (#138341). I love how these 2 sets of Framelits coordinate with each other with the solid and intricate cuts for the 2 sizes of butterflies. The banners were cut with the new Banner Triple punch (#138292). This punch is so easy to use. There are 3 widths for the banners - 1", 1-1/2" & 2" or 2.5cm, 3.8cm & 5.1cm. Just cut the width you want, slide it into the punch and punch - no measuring to get the perfect cut. You can have the banners as long or short as you require. The sentiment is also from the Watercolour Wings stamp set and stamped with Calypso Coral ink. The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550). I added the Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) to the butterflies.

Bye for now.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Butterflies Thinlits

Hello,

Last week I made a card using my grand daughters artwork and I mentioned I was also doing some framed artwork for her as well, so this is the finished product. My grand daughter loves to paint and calls it "messy hands time".

Before cutting the butterflies I glued the artwork onto Whisper White card (#106549) to give more strength. The butterflies were then cut with the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360). Each butterfly was attached to the base of the frame with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The wings of the butterflies have been bent up slightly. I was very pleased with the end result and it is a great way to use any child's artwork and it was so easy to do. The hardest part was getting all the butterflies lined up.

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Lovely as a Tree

Welcome,

The background I used for this card is the new Watercolor Wash (#c139538, #w138704). I only wanted a subtle colour so used the stamping off method with Crumb Cake ink (#126975).

Then I stamped the trees from Lovely As A Tree stamp set (#c127793, #w128655) with Old Olive ink (#126953) on Whisper White card (#106549). I have also used Early Espresso card (#121686) and Early Espresso ink (#126974). The DSP is Old Olive from the new Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (#138434). The brad is one of the Antique Brads (#117273). Happy Birthday is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167).

As its Wednesday it's time for the WEEKLY DEALS.
