Avant Garden with Floral Boutique DSP

Hi and Welcome,

I often find that I don't use some of the smaller images in a stamp set. The larger images are usually why I buy the set, so on this card I have used the smaller images from the Avant Garden stamp set (#p143272) which is one of the free products from Sale-a-bration.

The base card and larger oval are Night Of Navy (#106577) and the card front and smaller oval are Whisper White (#106549). The DSP is from the beautiful Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (#141663). The ovals are cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (#145372). The white oval was attached to the blue oval with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Happy Birthday Wishes is also from the Avant Garden stamp set and all images are stamped with Night Of Navy ink (#126970). The leaves were stamped with the stamping off method for a lighter stamped image.

Have a great day.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Grateful Bunch

Hello,

I have been making a variety of gift cards today and I sometimes find that a smaller card is more challenging to design than a larger card. However this one wasn't too hard.

The cardstock is Wisteria Wonder (#124389), Elegant Eggplant (#108614) and Whisper White (#106549). Happy Birthday from Birthday Banners stamp set (#p141506) was stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969). The flower from Grateful Bunch stamp set (#p140691) was stamped with Wisteria Wonder ink (#126985) and I handcut this, then attached it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The Whisper White card was embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#139672). The Elegant Eggplant was cut with a framelit from the Flourish Thinlits (#141478) and glued to the card with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309). I used some Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (#135315) to punch a small flower for the centre of the flower. I also added some sparkle the the flower with the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897).

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Flourish Thinlits

Hello everyone,

Here's a pretty card in gold and white, and would be suitable for any special occasion.

The base card and card front are Whisper White (#106549). The DSP is the gold from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack (#138435). I stamped the greeting from the Cool Treats stamp set (#p142982), using VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder (#109129) and heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The lace was stamped with Crumb Cake ink (#126975). This lace is from the Delicate Details stamp set (#p143314) which is one of the free products from Sale-a-bration. Gold Foil Sheets (#132622) were used for the flower and cut using the Flourish Thinlits (#141478). This was glued to the card with the Fine-tip Glue Pen (#138309).

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Cool Treats Bundle

Hello,

Here is a cute card using the Cool Treats Bundle (#p145181), the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (#145372) and the Confetti Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#140592).

The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550), then Sweet Sugarplum (#141423) and Pink Pirouette (#116203) which was embossed with the Confetti embossing folder. The ice cream cone was stamped with Crumb Cake ink (#126975) and Soft Suede (#126978. The ice cream was stamped with Sweet Sugarplum (#141395). This was stamped off on scrap paper first, so this was the second stamping of the image to give me a lighter coloured ice cream. The chocolate topping was stamped with Early Espresso ink (#126974). The cone, ice cream and topping were cut with the Frozen Treats Framelits Dies (#142756), then attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). I added some glitter to the ice cream with the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897). The sentiment from the Cool Treats stamp set (#142982) was stamped with Sweet Sugarplum ink (#141395) and cut with a framelit from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits (#135707). The oval was cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies and I sponged the edges with Sweet Sugarplum ink.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Avant Garden SAB

Hi ladies and Gents,

I hope you have all had a lovely Australia Day.
This is a very quick and easy card using the Avant stamp set (#p143272) from Sale-a-bration for the flowers and sentiment. This is a 2-step stamp set, so makes it easy to stamp the images in different colours.

The cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Flirty Flamingo (#141421). I used the Staming off method to stamp the flowers using Flirty Flamingo ink (#141397) and Mint Macaron (#138326) for the stems and leaves. The stamens were stamped with Rose Red ink (#126954). I sponged the edges of the Whisper White card also with Flirty Flamingo ink.

As I said, this was quick and easy.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

I used the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#139672) on this ice-cream. The oval was cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (#145372). Celebrations Duo TIEF

Hi and welcome,

Today I have used  "celebrate" from the Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#142760). This creates a debossed impression, then I  stamped the "splotch" over the top so the word is then highlighted.

I used Daffodil Delight ink to stamp the "splotch" from the Happy Celebrations stamp set (#p143012). The cardstock is Whisper White (#106549), Night Of Navy (#106577) and Daffodil Delight (#121680). The DSP is from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (#138434). The framelits to cut the flower is the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies (#142750). I attached the flower using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder

Hello ladies,

As promised, here is the Celebrations Duo Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#142760) which co-ordinates with the Happy Celebrations stamp set (#p143012). There are 2 folders, one with "Happy" and the other is "celebrate".

Firstly, I stamped "Happy" using Delightful Dijon ink (#138345), then it is easy to place the embossing folder correctly to emboss. I stamped the rest of the greeting using Basic Black Archival ink (#140931) onto a piece of DSP from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack (#141642). The cardstock is Basic Black (#121688) and Very Vanilla (#106550).
The Happy Celebrations stamp set and the Celebrations Duo Embossing Folder are both available from the Occasions Catalogue, along with lots of other exciting new products. Also, don't forget that Sale-a-bration is underway and there are some great free products available when you purchase $90 of Stampin" Up! products from the catalogues. So In Love Bundle

Hi,

I was asked to make a wedding card with Bermuda Bay and couldn't resist using the So In Love bundle (#c144739, #w144738).

The 2 cards are identical except for the flower. I wasn't sure which one I liked best. I used Gold Foil Sheets (#132622) for one, and Whisper White card (#106549) for the other with a bit of sponging with Bermuda Bay ink (#131171). The cardstock is Whisper White and Bermuda Bay (#131286). The flowers and leaves were cut with the Botanical Builder Framelits (#140625). The flowers were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) and the leaves and lacy cutouts were glued with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309). Congratulations was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink and this stamp is found in the So In Love stamp set (#c143216, #w143112) which is part of the bundle.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies

Hello friends,

Yes, the long awaited Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies (#145372) are now back in stock. They aren't in either catalogue but have been released ahead of the next Annual Catalogue and have been very popular. There are 4 different sizes of each square, oval and circle, and also work well with the Layering Square, Oval and Circle framelits.

I have used the Square Layering Framelits (#141708) to cut the Melon Mambo card (#119980). The sentiment from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) and the flowers from the Falling Flowers stamp set (#c139556, #w139553) were stamped with Melon Mambo ink (#126948). The flourish also from the Falling Flowers set was stamped with Pink Pirouette ink (#126956). The flowers were cut with the co-ordinating May Flowers Framelits (#140276). These flowers were were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) and I added White Perfect Accents (#138416) to the flower centres. The base card is Whisper White (#106549) and I embossed this with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#139672).

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Happy Celebrations with Butterfly Framelits

Hello,

Both stamped images on this card are from the Happy Celebrations stamp set (#p143012) from the Occasions catalogue.

I used Crumb Cake ink (#126975) for the splotch and Tangerine Tango (#126946) for the greeting. These were stamped on Very Vanilla card (#106550), and the base card and base of the butterfly are Tangerine Tango (#116206). The detailed butterfly is cut from the Gold Glimmer paper (#133719). The framelits for the butterfly are from the Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135) and the Butterfly Thinlits (#137360). The ribbon is one of the free products from Sale-a-bration - 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (#143601). I find these ribbons very versatile, especially as I use so much gold and silver on my cards. One ribbon is silver and white and the other is gold and cream. I used the Gold and cream here. I added some sparkle to the greeting using the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897). As usual I attached the butterfly to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).
Now, don't you hate it when you finish a card then find an unwanted mark on it. That's what happened with this card, so was able to cover the mark with a Pearl Basic Jewel (#119247), but instead of just 1 pearl which would have looked a bit odd, I added a few pearls randomly around the greeting.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Happy Celebrations

Hi and welcome,

The Happy Celebrations stamp set (#p143012) is a Two-step set which I have used for "Happy" on today's card. It is very easy the line up the images with these photopolymer stamps.

The outline of the letters were stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969), then I stamped the second image which "coloured in" the letters with Wisteria Wonder ink (#126985). There are 3 different images with "happy" and they can be used separately as well, so I love the versatility of this set. This stamp set also co-ordinates with the Celebrations Duo Impressions Embossing Folder (#142760) which I will show on another card in the next week. The cardstock is Wisteria Wonder (#124389), Elegant Eggplant (#108614) and Whisper White (#106549) with the Wisteria Wonder DSP from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack (#139437). The beautiful flower, stem and leaves were cut with the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies (#142750) from Silver Glimmer Paper (#135314). I glued the detailed flower to a piece of Elegant Eggplant card, then attached this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The stems and leaves were also glued using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309).

I hope you are keeping cool in this heat. At least my craft room is air conditioned.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Circle Of Spring

Hi everyone,

I heat embossed these flowers from the Circle Of Spring stamp set (#p138964) using VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder (#109131).

Rose Red (#108613), Basic Black (#121688) and Whisper White (#106549) are the cardstock used. The butterfly is cut with the Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135) and attached with a Stampin' Dimensional (#104430). Happy Birthday is also from the Circle Of Spring stamp set and I stamped this with Rose Red ink (#126954). I used the Layering Squares Framelits (#141708) to cut the sentiment. The ribbon is the Silver ribbon from the  3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (#143601) which is one of the free Sale-a-bration products.
Don't forget that you receive a free product of your choice from the Sale-a-bration catalogue when you place a $90 order from the annual or occasions  catalogues.

Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder

Hello friends,

I love the Hexagon Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#143231 as it creates beautiful deep dimensional impressions. I have used this on both masculine and feminine cards and looks great on both.

The cardstock is Cherry Cobbler (#121681), Basic Black (#121688) and Smokey Slate (#131291). The sentiment is from the Avant Garden stamp set (#143272), one of the Sale-a-bration sets. This was stamped with Archival Basic Black ink (#140931, then cut with the framelits from the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies (#142750). The little black banner was cut with the Banner Framelits (#132173). The dragonflies were cut using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies (#142749) I added glitter to the dragonfly with the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897). The dragonfly was attached to the card with Stampin' Dimesionals (#104430), as was the sentiment.
To get the best results from these Dynamic folders, slightly spray the paper with water before running through the big shot. Also you only require 1 of the standard cutting pads when making your "sandwich".

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

So In Love Bundle

Hello ladies,

"Simply Elegant" is how I would describe this card using the So In Love Bundle (#c144739, #w144738) from the Occasions Catalogue. There are 3 beautiful thinlits dies in the set of framelits and the co-ordinating stamp set has 14 images.

The piece which is cut using the framelits has a solid strip on the top which allows you to fold this over a piece of card and secure it. I used Gold Foil Sheets (#132622) for this and Whisper White card (#106549) for the base card and card front. The card front was embossed with the Elegant Dots Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#138287). Congratulations was stamped using VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder (#109129) and set with the Heat Tool (#129056). I used one of the framelits from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits (#135707) to cut the sentiment and attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). I sponged the edges of the sentiment with Soft Suede ink (#126978). I used some Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755) to adhere the gold cut out to the card.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Lace Doilies

Welcome,

These beautiful Lace Doilies (#142793) from the Occasions catalogue are Very Vanilla on one side and Whisper White on the other side which makes them very versatile.

I have used the Very Vanilla side and this was adhered to a piece of DSP from the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper (#142788) using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755). The cardstock is Blushing Bride (#131287) and Perfect Plum (#108615). These are 2 colours which I don't use very often and I don't know why as they look so nice together. The butterfly from the Papillon Potpourri was stamped with Perfect Plum ink (#126963) and punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch (#127526). This was attached to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional (#104430).  Happy Birthday is from the Window Shopping stamp set (#142920) and I have heat embossed this with VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder (#109131) then set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). The ribbon is from one of the free Sale-a-bration products - 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (#143601). There is gold and silver in this pack. I finished the card with Metallic Enamel Shapes (#141678). These also come in gold and silver in the pack with hearts, stars and 2 size circles so a nice variety.

Have a great weekend.

Happy Stamping!

Window Box Thinlits Dies

Hi again,

Yes, I do love framelits and these Window Box Thinlits Dies (#142762) certainly don't disappoint. They make these beautiful boxes, and you can also use the framelits for your cards. I love it when a product has more than one use. I have made several of these boxes today in various colours.

You need to cut 2 of the pieces that make the box. Then I used the framelit to cut the design on the top and the smaller framelits with the hearts for the sides. On the piece you will use for the bottom of the box, cut off the tabs on the side of the box as you can see below.

You probably noticed that the hearts on the bottom piece look like they are upside down. They need to be cut this way on one piece so when the box is put together they will be all up the correct way. There are also candle cutouts in this set and you need to do the same with them.
Next you need to fold all the scored lines, then attach the tab on the bottom of the box to the piece from the top as shown below.

Attach tape to the tabs, and assemble box. I used Tape and Tear Tape (#138995) as this is a strong adhesive and great for boxes and other 3D projects.

I then cut contrasting coloured card and attached to the inside of the box so you can see the colour through the design. The boxes in the first photo are Pacific Point (#116202) with Real Red (#106578) and Bermuda Bay (#131286) with Calypso Coral (#124392).

Inside the lid I added this verse that a friend gave to me. I will fill the box with each of the items ready to give to my friends.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies

Hello,

These cute dragonflies are from the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies (#142749) and are cut from one framelit, so this is a quick and easy card to make.

The cardstock used is Basic Black (#121688) and Very Vanilla (#106550). The flowers stamped with Crushed Curry (#131288), are from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set (#c139950, #w138694). The dragonflies are attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Thanks so Much is from the Sweet Cupcake stamp set (#141498) and I used the Archival Basic Black ink (#140931). I sponged the edges of the Very Vanilla card with Crushed Curry ink.

I hope you have had a chance to see all the great new products in the Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-bration. If you want more information just contact me.

Avant Garden with Hexagons Dynamic Folder

Welcome,

Here are some more exciting products from the new Occasions and Sale-a-brations catalogues.

The flowers are from the Avant Garden stamp set (#p143272), one of the free sale-a-bration products. I stamped the images with Archival Basic Black ink (#140931), then coloured the flowers with Rose Red ink (#126954) using a Blender Pen (#102845). The leaves were coloured with Garden Green ink (#126973) also using the Blender Pen. I hand cut these images. I cut the ovals using the Layering Ovals Framelits (#141706) from Gold Foil Sheets (#132622) and Basic Black card (#121688). The Gold piece was then embossed with the Hexagons Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#142786). This Dynamic Folder creates deep, dimensional, embossed impressions. When using normal cardstock you will get a better impression from this folder by spraying the card lightly with water before Embossing. This isn't necessary with this Gold Foil but makes a big difference on cardstock. Happy Birthday Wishes is also from the Avant Garden stamp set and stamped with Rose Red ink, and cut using the labels from the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies (#142750). The base card is Rose Red (#108613), then I used Basic Black card around the DSP from the Falling In Love Designer Series Paper (#142788). This pack has a beautiful collection of soft designs in Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand, Soft Sky, Sweet Sugarplum and Very Vanilla colours. I used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the flowers and the sentiment to the card.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Desk Calander

Hello,

Here is a handy little desk calendar using the beautiful Special Season Bundle (#w144719, #c144720). You could also make a card and replace the calendar with a greeting.

The base for the calendar is 10.5 cm x 30 cm Very Vanilla card (#106550) and scored in half. Another piece of card is cut at 10.5 cm x 10cm and scored along the 10cm side at 1cm, 5cm, and 9cm. This piece is used to allow the calander to stand as shown below.

For the top calander I used Copper Foil Sheets (#142020) and Bermuda Bay card (#131286). For the second calander I used Silver Foil (#132178) and Flirty Flamingo card (#141421). The larger flower was cut using the Special Reason stamp set (#c142902,#w142899). The small flowers are stamped  using the stamping off method, then cut with the co-ordinating framelit from the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies (#142750). I used Bermuda Bay ink (#131171) for the first calander and Flirty Flamingo ink (#141397) for the other one. The ribbons used are from the 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (#143601) from Sale-a-bration. To add the piece at the bottom of the calander, fold along the score lines, then use some Tear & Tape Adhesive (#138995) to attach this to the card. The Tear & Tape Adhesive is perfect for 3D projects as it is a strong adhesive and easy to use.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Lesley.

Inside The Lines DSP

Hi everyone,

Have you caught the Adult colouring bug yet? If so, this Inside The Lines Designer Series Paper (#143830) is just for you. If you haven't I am sure you will love it too. This beautiful paper is just Black & White and suitable to colour with Blender Pens, Stampin' Write Markers, Sponge Brayer or with the new Watercolour Pencils. These papers co-ordinate with the Dragonfly Dreams Bundle (#p144728) and best of all they are free during Sale-a-bration with any $90 order. There are 4 designs in the pack, 3 of each design.

I have coloured this DSP using a Blender Pen (#102845) and Daffodil Delight ink (#121680), Crushed Curry ink (#131173), Pear Pizzaz (#131180) and Real Red (#126949). I chose to only colour some of the images but you can colour as much or as little as you want. The base card is Real Red (#106578), then I have used Basic Black (#121688) and Whisper White (#106549). The detailed Dragonfly was cut from Silver Glimmer paper (#135314). The Happy Birthday stamp is from Big On Birthdays set (#p142877) and stamped with Archival Basic Black ink (#140931). The framelit used to cut the greeting is from the Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits (#135707). I attached the dragonfly and sentiment to the card using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Here are the four designs in the DSP.

And some beautiful samples from the Stampin' Up! Sale-a-bration catalogue -

I hope you have fun with this DSP.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Lesley.

Special Reason Bundle

Hello,

As I said the other day, I will be using this Special Reason Bundle (#c144720, #w144719) over and over again.

The flowers were stamped using the smaller flower from the Special Reason stamp set (#c142902, #w142899), using Sweet Sugarplum ink (#141395) and using the Stampin' Off method. This is where you ink your stamp once then stamp 2 or 3 times and each time the image gets lighter. The flowers were then cut with the framelit from the Stylish Stems Framelits Dies (#142750). The leaves were also cut from these framelits using the Silver Foil Sheets (#132178). The framelit for the bee is in the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies (#142749). The oval was cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits (#141706). The DSP is from the Neutrals Designer Series Paper Stack (#138435). The cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Sweet Sugarplum (#141423). The beautiful silver ribbon is from the 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack (#143601) which is one of the free products from the Sale-a-bration  catalogue. There is also a gold ribbon in the pack. The sentiment can also be found in the Special Reasons stamp set and was stamped with Sweet Sugarplum ink. The darker flower had glitter added to it with the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897). I used Stampin' Dimensionals to attach the bee and darker flower. I used the Fine-Tip Glue pen (138309) for the leaves and a Mini Glue Dot (#103683) to attach the bow to the card.

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Lesley.

Big On Birthdays

Hello and welcome,

The Big On Birthdays stamp set (#p142877) from the Occasions catalogue contains some larger Birthday greetings, and I have used one of them on these cards today to make a very easy card.

For the first card, I used Whisper White card (#106549) for the base and Night Of Navy (#106577) for the card front. I embossed using VersaMark (#102283) and White Stampin' Emboss Powder (#109132). The Happy Birthday and the flowers to the right is one stamp and the flowers at the top is a separate stamp. However I place both stamps onto the acrylic block and stamped them at the same time. Don't forget to use the Embossing Buddy (#103083) when embossing as this prevents extra powder sticking to the card. Just rub the buddy over the card before embossing. The embossing needs to be heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056).

I did the same with this card, but then added Cherry Cobbler ink (#126966) to the greeting. I did this using a Sponge Dauber (#133773). The cardstock I have used for this card is Cherry Cobbler (#121681), Basic Black (#121688) and Whisper White (#106549). You probably can't see it but I added some glitter to the flowers using the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897).

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Lesley.

Delicate Details

Hello ladies,

I have made my own background paper using the beautiful Delicate Details stamp set (#p143314) from the Sale-a-bration catalogue. This stamp set has 5  lacey borders and I have used all of them on this card.

I have embossed these images using VersaMark (#102283) and White Stampin' Emboss Powder (#109132). With the photopolymer stamps, I arranged the 5 images onto an acrylic block so that I could stamp the 5 images at one time, then repeated again to cover the whole card. If I wanted to stamp each image a different colour, I would stamp them individually but when embossing, I find this is the easiest way. I also find it easy to line the stamps up on the grid paper so they are straight, then press the block onto the stamps. This is how the stamps were placed on the block.

The cards used are Whisper White (#106549), Basic Black (#121688) and Watermelon Wonder (#138341). The beautiful dragonfly is cut using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies (#142749) from the Occasions Catalogue and I added some glitter to the dragonfly with the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897). Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the top dragonfly to the bottom dragonfly.

Happy Birthday is from the Big On Birthdays stamp set (#p142877), also from the Occasions catalogue, is stamped with Basic Black Archival ink (#140931) and cut with a framelit from Project Life Cards & Labels (#135707). I sponged around the banner with Watermelon Wonder ink (#138323). This was attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!

Lesley.
