Forever Fern

Hello my friends,

Sara, the CEO of Stampin’ Up! was demonstrating an easy technique called “stamp painting” so I have used this on the leaves from the Forever Fern stamp set (#152559) to give a variation in colours to the leaves.

I used this technique on the 3 stamped leaves. I added a small amount of ink refill onto a clear block. The colours used are Soft Suede (#115663), Cherry Cobbler (#119788) and Pumpkin Pie (#105229). I inked the stamp with Old Olive ink (#147090) as usual. Then using the wider brush of the Water Painters (#151298), I picked up a small amount of ink on the brush and applied it around the edge of the stamp. I stamped the image onto Shimmery White card (#121717). I repeated this with each of the colours and using the Old Olive ink for the base colour of each of the leaves. These leaves were cut with the Forever Flourishing Dies (#152714).

The Bronze Foil from the Brushed Metallic cardstock (#153524) was also cut with a Forever Flourishing Die which was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334).

I stamped the image from the Fond Of Autumn stamp set (#160266) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) and cut with a die from the Autumn Bouquet dies (#159837). The die to cut this image cuts the image into 4 separate images so I only used one of the cut images. This was coloured with Old Olive Stampin’ Blends (#154892), Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends (#154882), Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends (#154880) and Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends (#154890).

“Happy Birthday” is from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763), stamped with Old Olive ink (#147090) and cut with a Frosted Flurry die (#159811).

The card front is from the Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper (#159161) and matted with Old Olive card (#106576). The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550). Classic Matte Dots (#158146) were added to the card and I used the Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to add glimmer to all the stamped images.

“Love what you do and share what you love.”
