Cupcake Party with Lullaby DSP

Welcome,

This cute little cupcake on today's card is found in the Cupcake Party stamp set (#c134126, #w134123).

I stamped the base of the cupcake with Hello Honey ink (#133643), and the icing with Crisp Cantaloupe (#131176). These were punched with the coordinating punch - the Cupcake Builder (#121807). I also added some Dazzling Details (#124117) to the dots on the cupcake base. I made the banners using Lullaby DSP (#133695). The Cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Hello Honey (#133685). The Hello Honey card was embossed with the Decorative Dots folder (#133520). Best wishes is from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706) and I punched this with the Hexagon punch (#130919).

That's all for today,
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Lovely Lace

Hello,

This is such an easy card using the Lovely Lace embossing folder (#133737) and some butterflies.

I cut a piece of Whisper White card (#106549) 6cm x 9.5cm. I then temporarily placed this onto the base card and embossed the 2 pieces together. I then added the Melon Mambo card (#119980) behind the smaller piece and taped this on the card in the same position that they were embossed. The butterflies stamped with Melon Mambo ink (#126948) are from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set (#c123759, #w132058) and punched with the Elegant Butterfly (#127526) and Bitty Butterfly (#129406) punches. The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Banners (#c126257, #w132022) and cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267). The sentiment and butterflies are attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430), and Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) were added to the butterflies.

Bloom with Hope Sympathy

Hi,

With very little time and needing a Sympathy card, I made one very similar to one I made a few weeks back.

The Shimmery White card (#121717) was embossed with the Filigree Frame folder (#135818). The flower and sentiment from Bloom With Hope (#c133952, #w133949) were heat embossed with Versamark (#102283) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129). I used Brushed Gold card (#124917) to mat the flower image. The punch used for the sentiment is Modern Label (#119849). Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) were used for the sentiment.
This is a very simple card but that's the way I like to make sympathy cards.

That's all for today,

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Good Greetings and World of Dreams

Hello and welcome,

I highlighted the birds on this image from the World of Dreams stamp set (#c134186, #w134183) using a Calypso Coral Marker (#131263).

I firstly inked the image using Crumb Cake ink pad (#126975), then with a Blender Pen (#102845), I removed the ink from the birds only, then coloured the birds with the Calypso Coral marker. Before stamping on the Cardstock make sure to breath over the image to re-moisten the ink that may have dried. The alternative is to colour the whole image with the different coloured markers but I find when most of the image is in one colour I do it the way I have just described. The Framelits from the Labels Collection (#125598) cut the Whisper White card (#106549) and Crumb Cake (#121685). I used Calypso Coral from the Subtles DSP Stacks (#130135). Thankful for You is from the Good Greetings stamp set (#135017). The flowers are from Petite Petals (#c133155, #w133152), using Calypso Coral ink (#126983) and punched with the Petite Petals punch (#133322). Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the flowers and the crumb cake card. Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) were added to the flowers.

Well the weekend is almost over and I have a busy week ahead, so hopefully will be able to get some cards made as well.

Till next time,
Happy Satmping!
Lesley.

Many Merry Stars

Hello again,

I made this fancy fold Christmas card using the Many Merry Stars stamp set (#138105) from the Merry and Bright Extra Special Christmas catalogue.

The Crushed Curry card (#131288) is 22.5cm x 10.5cm and scored at 7.5cm. The Real Red card (#106578) is 14cm x 9.5cm. The Very Vanilla card is 21cm x 8cm and scored at 13cm. Seasons Greetings is from the Bright and Beautiful stamp set (#c135029, #w135026) which is in the Holiday catalogue. The inks used are Real Red (#126949) and Crushed Curry (#131173). The stars are cut with the Stars Framelits (#133723). I attached the red star with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430), only on the left side so you can tuck the Very Vanilla card under. A Rhinestone Basic Jewel (#119246) was added to the centre of the star.

That's all for now,
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

World of Dreams

Hi Ladies,

Sorry it's been a while since I have posted a blog, but as explained last time my husband had an accident. He's out of hospital but he has lots of doctors appointments and he can't drive. He also has a puncture wound near his hip which is causing a few problems. I haven't had a chance to even get into my craft room till now so this is a quick card I just made.

The Cardstock is Mossy Meadow (#133683), Hello Honey (#133685) and Whisper White (#106549). I stamped the leaves on the background using World of Dreams stamp set (#c134186, #w134183) with Crumb Cake ink (#126975). The flowers from Beautiful Bunch (#c134282, #w134279) are stamped with Tangelo Twist ink (#133646) and punched with the Fun Flower punch (#133785). I used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the top flower. Happy Birthday is from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706) using Mossy Meadow ink (#133645)

Corner Garden

Hello,

Well, what a mad couple of days my family has had. Late Wednesday my husband fell through his shed roof - about a 6 meter fall. Why was he on the roof - well that's a long story!!! Surprisingly, his only injury was a compound fracture of his elbow. I can't believe he didn't have more broken bones or head injuries or worse. He had surgery yesterday and had to have another op tonight as when they put in the pins and plate, one of the screws was too long, so have to replace it. Now, this afternoon my son-in-law fell down the steps and split open his head and both knees. Not a good week. Hopefully things improve from here.

Now to my card.

A very easy card using the Corner Garden background stamp (#c134048, w134045). This was stamped with Wisteria Wonder ink (#126985). I restamped this using Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969), and just cut out the larger flower and attached this with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) directly over the same image. The butterfly is from Papillon Potpourri (#c123759, w132058) and punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch (#c127526). The smaller butterfly was punched with the Bitty Butterfly punch (# 129406) from Silver Glimmer Paper (#135314). The cardstock is Wisteria Wonder (#124389), Elegant Eggplant (#108614) and Very Vanilla (#106550).

That's all after a couple of hectic days,
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Framelits

Hello,

It's not very often that I make a card without any stamping. I was asked to make a card without a sentiment and I just used Framelits.

The Cardstock is Pacific Point (#116202), Real Red (#106578) and Whisper White (#106549). I cut the stars with the Stars Framelits (#133723) and the circles with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911). I attached the circles with the stars using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). I did use the stripes embossing folder but just realised this is retired.

Gift card wallet

Hello and welcome again.

Here's a great way to present someone with a gift voucher or cash for a gift. It's a Gift Wallet card. They can be made for all occasions.

I used Calypso Coral Cardstock (#124392) and ink (#126983) to sponge the edges. The front and back of the wallet was stamped with Versamark (#102283) and Clear embossing powder (#109130) and heat set, using the Swallowtail stamp (#c129216, #w131943). The butterfly was also stamped on the back.
The sizes are -
22.5cm x 9cm for the outer card
Full length inside is 21.5cm x 8cm
Left side is 10cm x 7cm
Right side -2 pieces- 10cm x 5cm and 10cm x 3cm

I pierced the card and used the Calypso Coral Marker from the Subtles collection (#131263) to create the faux stitching. The piercing was done using the Stampin' Pierce Mat (#126199), Paper Piercing Tool (#126189) and the Essentials template (#126187).

I punched with the Decorative label (#120907) on the left side to create a window where you can add a photo. I taped a piece of Window Sheet (#114323) to the inside . I sponged the edge of the cut out piece and it could be used to write on. Congratulations is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set (#c126707, #w132070). "Celebrate" from Sketched Birthday (#c130426, #w130423) was stamped with Calypso Coral ink then cut with one of the Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267) and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). I used the Sticky Strip (#104294) to tape the card together. This is extra tacky so great for this project or any 3D projects when you need that extra adhesion.

Hope you like this. My friend Susan from Susan's Saga showed me this a couple of years ago and I have made many of these since then and everyone who receives one is just amazed and loves them.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Lullaby DSP scrapbook page

Hi again,

I have made another scrapbook page like yesterday's but using more subtle colours for the background. Not sure which one I like best.

This time I used Blushing Bride (#131194) for the base page and a sheet from the Lullaby DSP (#133695). I sponged the edges of the 2 1/4" squares with Wild Wasabi ink (#126959). The mats for the photos are Blushing Bride (#131287) and Wild Wasabi (#111850) Cardstock. I punched the butterflies from Silver Glimmer Paper (#135314) with the Elegant Butterfly (#127526) and Bitty Butterfly (#129406) punches. I coloured the smaller butterfly with the lightest of the Old Olive Blendabilities (#130999).
A tip for assembling the squares- I used a temporary tape to attach the squares to the base page, then when I was satisfied of all the spacing, I taped the squares with a permanent tape one at a time. I found it easier to line them all up this way and I think I got them fairly straight rather than guessing where they should be.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Scrapbook page

Hello friends,

I think most paper crafters are like me and don't throw away any paper scraps, especially DSP as you never know when you will be able to use. I made this very easy scrapbook page today using leftover DSP (mostly retired) but I just couldn't throw it out!!!

I used 12x12" Basic Black Cardstock (#124267) for the base. Then I cut the pieces of DSP into 2 1/4" squares. These fitted nicely on this page with a small gap in between. The photos were mounted onto Basic Black card then Rose Red (#108613). I will also do one with a white background and a coloured background when I get a chance as I think that will look great too.

Well that's all today,
Till next time you visit,
Happy Stamping!

Corner Garden

Welcome ladies,

I heat embossed this beautiful Corner Garden background stamp (#c134048, #w134045) with Silver Embossing powder (#109131) and The Silver Metallic Encore ink (#132142).

The Cardstock is Island Indigo (#124390 and Whisper White (#106549). I used flowers from Flower Shop (#c130942, #w130939) and Petite Petals (#c133155, #w133152). The inks are Island Indigo (#126986), Crushed Curry (#131173), Tangelo Twist (#133646), Real Red (#126949) and Melon Mambo (#126948). The punches are Petite Petals (#133322) and Pansy (#130698). I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) to the centre of the flowers and under the sentiment. Thinking of You is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set (#c126707, #w132070). As usual I attached the flowers to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Thanks to everyone asking how my hand is. Well, it's really good and I can do almost anything again with it. Will probably have the other hand done in the New year.

Bye for now,
Happy Stamping!

Hardwood background

Hi,

I Used Crumb Cake ink (#126975) on the Hardwood background stamp (#c133035, #w133032). Then I wanted to add some darker colour over the stamp, so before stamping the image I applied Soft Suede ink (#126978) with an Aqua Painter (#103954) randomly on the stamp.

The Cardstock is Hello Honey (#133685), Mossy Meadow (#133683), Calypso Coral (#124392) and Whisper White (#106549). The leaves from Bloom with Hope (#c133952, #w133949) were stamped with Mossy Meadow ink (#133645). Happy Birthday from Label Love (#c130622) and the small butterfly were stamped with Hello Honey ink (#133643). The larger butterfly is stamped with Calypso Coral (#126983). Both butterflies are from the Papillon Potpourri set (#c123759, #w132058). The punches used are Bitty Butterfly (#129406), Elegant Butterfly (#127526), Artisan Label (#130920) and Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border (#119275). The small Pearl Basic Jewels (#129247) were added to the butterfly, and Stampin' Dimensionals were used to attach the sentiment and butterfly to the card.

Label card thinlits

Hello,

Here is a card made with the Label Card Thinlits (#133479) with a twist - I made it into an oval.

After cutting the Whisper White Card (#106549) with the Label Card Thinlits, I folded the card on the score lines as normal. Then with the largest of the Ovals Collection Framelits (#129381) I cut the card into an oval. Using the next size oval I cut a piece of the Brights Colour Collection DSP (#130134) to place on the right side of the card. The left side was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot folder (#117335).

The shoes are from Baby, We've Grown stamp set (#c133089, #w133086). The Cutest Baby Ever is from the Label Love stamp set (#c130622, #w130619), stamped with Melon Mambo ink (#126948) and punched with the Artisan Label (#130920). I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) to the cute little shoes.

I made the envelope using Whisper White card, and the Envelope Punch Board (#133774), and stamped the envelope with the shoes to match the card. This punch board makes it so easy to make up to 66 different size envelopes, using any Cardstock or DSP to match your card.

Sympathy card

Hello,

I needed a Sympathy card for a friend, and I like to use the Shimmery White card (#121717) for special cards, which I have used on this one.

I embossed the front of the card with the Perfect Polka Dots folder (#117335). The stamp set is Bloom With Hope (#c133952, #w133949) and heat embossed with Gold Metallic Encore ink (#132141) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129). I also used Brushed Gold card (#124917) and a small piece of Gold Soirée DSP (#133697) to finish the card. With Sympathy is punched with the Modern Label punch (#119849) and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's a very easy card and could be used for birthdays or any special occasion - just change the sentiment of course!

That's all today,

Typeset DSP and Timeless Talk

Hi and welcome once again,

Well, it's a while since I made a masculine card, so here is one today.

I wanted to use the Typeset DSP (#133704) so thought the Timeless Talk stamp set (#c126607, #w126605) would work well with it. The cardstock used is Cherry Cobbler (#121681), Very Vanilla (#106550) and Basic Black (#121688). I embossed the Very Vanilla with the Modern Mosaic embossing folder (#129984). The telephone was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink (#126966) and the Happy Birthday from Tag Talk (#c134252) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The sentiment was then punched with the Label Bracket (#132153).

That's all for today.

Happy Stamping!

Bloom With Hope birthday

Hello and Welcome,

My Grandson asked me to make a card for his Great grandmother's birthday. His requirements were to have purple on it and a flower, so this card we made.

This flower from Bloom With Hope (#c133952) has been embossed with Versamark (#102283) and White Embossing powder (#109132).
I then cut the flower by hand and sponged the edges with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969). Happy Birthday was also stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink. The cardstock used is Brushed Silver (#124918), Elegant Eggplant (#108614), Wisteria Wonder (#124389) and Whisper White (#106549). The embossing folder I used for the Wisteria Wonder card is Woodgrain (#127821). The punches used are Postage Stamp (#122344) and Modern Label (#119849). I cut the Whisper White and Wisteria Wonder with the Small Scallop Rotary Cutting blade (#129410). The flower and sentiment were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Have a great day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping.

I Like You

Hello,

Here's a cute little card I have seen, so this is my version. (The one I saw was on a blog - Do Stamping with Dawn.)

I cut the card 27cm x 15cm and scored at 9cm and 18cm for 3 even sides. Then, using the Decorative Label punch (#120907) I punched by just putting the card half way in the punch and this form the "legs". The cardstock used is Daffodil Delight (#121680), Basic Black (#121688), Crushed Curry (#131288) and Whisper White (#106549). The flowers on the front are from the hostess set I Like You (#c133958, #w133955) and stamped with the Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). Then, using Blendabilities I coloured the image. The colours I used are Daffodil Delight (#130998), Cherry Cobbler (#130995) and Old Olive (#130999). This was then cut with one of the Framelits from the Circle Collection (#130911) and the edges were sponged with Crushed Curry ink (#131173). Happy Birthday from Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (#c126257) is cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267). The sentiment inside the card comes from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706). The ballon is from Sketched Birthday (#c130426, #w130423). I cut the Crushed Curry card using the Small Scallop Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410).

Till next time,
Happy Stamping,
Lesley.

Kinda Eclectic and DSP

Welcome Ladies,

Yes, a little kindness does go a long way, and I think it is always nice to let someone know when their kindness is appreciated.

The cardstock for this card is Crisp Cantaloupe (#131303), Whisper White (#106549) and Subtles Colour Collection DSP (#130135) of which I have used the Calypso Coral. The inks are Bermuda Bay (#131171), Coastal Cabana (#131175) and Calypso Coral (#126983). The stamp sets are Kinda Eclectic (#c135350, #w135347), Flower Shop (#c130942, #w130939) and Petite Petals (#c133155, #w133152). Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) and Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) have been used on the flowers and butterfly.

I'm pleased to say that my hand has improved greatly in the last couple of days, so good to get back into my craft room to "play".

Thanks for visiting, I really appreciate your support.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping,
Lesley.

Mixed Bunch

Hi,

Today's card was one of those that I started with one idea and ended with a completely different one. I'm sure you all have days like that or am I the only one!

I stamped the Whisper White base card (#106549) using Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (#c130517, #w130514) and Wisteria Wonder ink (#126985). The Elegant Eggplant card (#108614) was embossed with the Woodgrain folder (#127821). I wrapped a piece of the 5/8" Organza Ribbon around this then added the sentiment on the top. Happy Birthday is from the Label Love stamp set (#c130622, #w130619) using Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969) and punched with the coordinating Artisan Label punch (#130920). The flower from Mixed Bunch (#c125537, #w128442) is punched with the Blossom Punch (#125603). The Gold Foil Sheets (#132622 were used to outline the sentiment and flower. Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the sentiment and flower to the card. A Pearl Basic Jewel (#119247) was coloured using the darkest of the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities (#130998). As the Blendabilities are alcohol based, they will colour almost anything, making them very versatile.
Are you wondering how to do the gold on the flowers and sentiment? Well all you do is punch the Blossom Punch and Artisan Label from the Gold Foil sheets. Cut the Artisan Label in half and attach to the top and bottom of the Happy Birthday that has been punched. Then for the flower, cut the gold petals to the centre so that all are separate, then tape to the flower.

That's all for today.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping,
Lesley.

Stars Framelits

Hello again,

I just heard that it is only 86 days till Christmas - where has the year gone? So that helped me to decide on today's card, yes a Christmas card.

The Whisper White card (#106549) was embossed with the Filigree Frame folder (#135818), which is in the Holiday catalogue. Then using the greeting from the Beautiful and Bright stamp set (#c135029, #w135026), I stamped this with Gold Metallic Encore ink (#132141) and Gold embossing powder (#109129), then heat set it. I often use the gold metallic encore ink instead of Versamark when using the gold embossing powder but either can be used. The stars were cut using the Stars Framelits (#133723), using Red Glimmer Paper (#121790) and Champagne Glimmer Paper (#127885). The smaller star was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).
