Hey Girlfriend Shaker card

Hello friends,

This Shaker card was made for one of my grand-daughters and I have used some retired products, almost retired as well as current ones. Don’t forget today is the last day to order from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue.

This card is a larger size card. I used a full sheet of Thick Basic White cardstock (#159230) and folded it in half. The cute little girl is from the Hey Girlfriend stamp set (#154516) and stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). I used the following Stampin’ Blends to colour the image - Polished Pink (#155520), Ivory (#154922), Crumb Cake (#154882), So Saffron (#154905) and Balmy Blue (#154830). I then added some glitter with the Clear Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897). This was then fussy cut before attaching it to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

I cut the cardfront with a (retired) Heart die and embossed the bottom of the cardfront with one of the Dotty Hearts Embossing Folders (#155434). I attached a piece of Window Sheet (#142314) on the back of the cardfront, over the cut out heart. The embellishments (also retired) were placed in a small area onto the Polished Pink card (#155711) before the card front was attached.
I used the Foam Adhesive Strips (#141825) to attach the card front to the Polished Pink card. I used the strips around the edge of the card front and also above and below the heart, so this keeps the embellishments in the area of the heart.

I used the Silver Trim from the Simply Elegant Trim (#155766) for the balloon strings. I punched the balloons with a retired Balloon punch from the Polished Pink Vellum from the 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum and also from Basic White card. I attached the Vellum to the white balloons, then attached the balloons with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The flowers are from the Loose Flowers Flourishes (#155808) and attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).

The sentiment is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set (#154507) and stamped with Polished Pink ink (#155712), then cut with a die from the Ornate Frames dies (#150664). The sentiment and girl were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

As mentioned today is the last day to order from the mini catalogue. The next Mini catalogue will be available from 3rd August with more exciting products, and especially a great variety of Christmas products.

Shaded Summer

Hello again my friends,

Life just seems to get a bit hectic, so apologies for the lack of cards recently.

Today’s card is using the Shaded Summer stamp set (#155783) along with the Paper Lattice (#155697) for the background.

The cardstock is Very Vanilla (#106550). I attached the Paper Lattice to the card front with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The 2 floral images from the Shaded Summer stamp set were stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder from the Metallics pack (#155555) then set with the Heat Tool (#129056). I fussy cut these stamped images and coloured them with Stampin’ Blends - Fresh Freesia (#155518), Polished Pink (#155520) and Granny Apple Green (#154885). These were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

The sentiment is also from the Shaded Summer stamp set and I stamped this with Fresh Freesia ink (#155611), then it was cut with a die from the Meadow dies (#155852). The Gold Trim is from the Simply Elegant Trim (#155766) which also includes Silver Trim in the pack.

Stay safe and if you are in lockdown, I hope you can spend some time crafting!!

Daisy Garden

Hi and welcome again,

The Daisy Garden stamp (#155079) is a full size stamp and has been used for this card.

The image was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder from the Metallics pack (#155555). The Heat Tool (#129056) was used to set the powder. The floral image was coloured with Stampin’ Blends - Granny Apple Green (#154885), Poppy Parade (#154958), Calypso Coral (#154881), Highland Heather (#154887), Polished Pink (#155520), Pale Papaya (#155519), Flirty Flamingo (#154884) and Ivory (#154922).

The sentiment from the Biggest Wish stamp set (#155052) was stamped with Granny Apple Green (#147095) and Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708). This was cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die (#151820). The Gold Fine Art ribbon (#154561) was wrapped around the card front. The sentiment was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The base card is Granny Apple Green card (#147014). I added the Clear Embellishmnets from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials (#155567).

Sea Life Dies

Hello,

The Layering Diorama Dies (#155565) are great for creating layers. There are 7 dies in this set. I have used 2 dies on this card.

I have attached a piece of Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper (#154288) to the Basic White base card (#159228). I cut the next layer - Basic White with a Layering Diorama Die, then I embossed this with the Painted Textures Embossing Folder (#154317). Another piece of Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper was cut with another of the dies. These 2 die cut pieces were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).
The seahorse and seaweed were cut with the Sea Life Dies (#155684). The Rose Gold from the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper (#156844) was used for the seahorse and the Soft Succulent from the 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum (#155616) was used for the seaweed. The seaweed was attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals were used on the seahorse.
The sentiment is from the Encircled In Friendship stamp set (#155408) and stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink (#147052), then cut with the circles from the Picture This Dies (#155559). I added the Clear embellishments from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials (#155567) to the card.

Biggest Wish

Hello again my friends,

The Picture This dies (#155559) consists of 2 dies, one with rectangle cut outs (as used on this card) and the other with circle cut outs. They also have stitching around the edges.

I cut the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (#155426) with the Picture This die. This DSP is from the hostess products so can be earned with Stampin’ rewards with a qualifying order. There is a variety of patterns and colours on one side of the DSP and the reverse is Black & White in various designs, so a very versatile pack. I attached the designer paper to the Basic White base card (#159228).

I stamped “happy” & “birthday” from the Biggest Wish stamp set (#155052) using Real Red ink (#147084). These were then cut with the same die. I attached the rectangles to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) where the cut outs are on the DSP.

The dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708), then punched with the Dragonflies Punch (#154240). I used the Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to add glitter to the dragonfly, then attached it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Have a great weekend!!

Sentimental Rose Card Kit

Hi friends,

If you are looking for some easy cardmaking, why not check out the kits that are now available. There is a range of kits which have all instructions included or you could change them to suit you. You can find the kits  here - lesleyjendra.stampinup.net and just click “shop now”. These kits will change from time to time so check back often to see the latest kits. The kits are not included in the catalogue.

These cards below are from the Sentimental Rose Card Kit (#156972).

For the card on the left, I have stamped the flower and leaves using Flirty Flamingo ink (#147052) for the flower and Mint Macaron ink (#147106) for the leaves and sentiment.
For the birthday card I stamped “Happy Birthday” with  Gray Granite ink which was included in the kit. Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to add the sentiments to the cards. Everything used on these cards are included in the kit (including envelopes) except the Flirty Flaming & Mint Macaron inks, although I could have used the Gray Granite which was included.

These are also great for gifts especially for those new to card making, so check them out now.

Have a great day!!

Bloom Hybrid embossing folder

Hello friends,

A super easy card today using the beautiful Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder which comes with the Bloom Dies (#155989). This embossing folder can be used with or without the dies, so here I have just used the folder and haven’t even used the stamp set to get this effect.

To achieve this, I have inked the inside of the front of the embossing folder using Pale Papaya ink (#155670). I placed a piece of Basic White card (#159228) on the inside un-inked side of the embossing folder and closed the folder gently, so not to move the card, then rolled through the Cut & Emboss Machine (#149653) as normal. This transfers the ink onto the card as well as embossing. Just wash off the ink off the folder after use.

I attached the card front to Pumpkin Pie card (#108601) as this co-ordinates well with the Pale Papaya ink. The base card is also Basic White.
I stamped the sentiment from Vine Design stamp set (#154488) with Pumpkin Pie ink (#147086) and cut it with the Many Messages Die (#154422).

The gold trim is from the Simply Elegant Trim (#155766). This trim also comes with Silver in the pack. I daubered around the sentiment with Pumpkin Pie ink and attached it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).
I added some clear raindrop shapes and round shapes from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials (#155567) to the finished card.

You can try this technique with any embossing folder and see what effect you can achieve. It will also give a different look if you ink the other side of the folder, so why not experiment.

Have a great day.

Encircled In Friendship Bundle

Welcome,

One of the 2021-2023 In Colors is Fresh Freesia which I have used on this card along with Basic White card (#159228).

I used one of the dies from the Encircled In Beauty Dies (#155546) to cut the Fresh Freesia 2021-2023 In Colour Shimmer Vellum (#155616). I had attached an Adhesive Sheet (#152334) to the back of the vellum before cutting. I then cut a piece of Basic White card with the outline die and attached the Vellum to this. The sentiment is from the Encircled In Friendship stamp set (#155408) and stamped with Fresh Freesia ink (#155611). I cut the circle for the sentiment using a die from the Picture This Dies (#155559). The circle that was cut from the middle of the “doilie” was re-cut with a Layering Circles die (#151770) to make it slightly smaller but slightly larger than the sentiment. The sentiment was attached to the vellum with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

The flowers from the Encircled In Friendship stamp set were stamped onto the 2021-2023 In Colour Designer Series Paper (#155641). I embossed a piece of Basic White card with a Thanks & Hello Embossing folder (#155430). I attached the DSP and embossed card together, then wrapped the Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon (#155615) around the card front. This was then attached to the Basic White base card. The “doilie” was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I hope you are having a great weekend!!

Expressions In Ink

Hello my friends,

I just adore the Expressions In Ink suite (#155459) with the gorgeous Specialty Designer Series Paper, stamp set and dies.

The base card and card front are Basic White (#159228). I Embossed the card front with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder (#155428) and daubered the edges with Polished Pink ink (#155712). The Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper (#155464) was attached to the Polished Pink card (#155711), then attached to the cardfront.

I used the Gold Foil Sheets (#132622) to cut the detailed floral piece using a die from the Artistic Dies (#155371). I had adhered a piece of Adhesive Sheet (#152334) to the back of the Gold Foil Sheet and Shaded Spruce card (#147006) before cutting with the dies. The Shaded Spruce leaves are cut with a die from the Blooms Dies (#155989).

The sentiment is from the Elegantly Said stamp set (#155095) and stamped with Polished Pink ink. A Tailor Made Tags Die (#155563) was used to cut the sentiment. I used the Gold Trim from the Simply Elegant Trim (#155766) to add to the tag and a cute little bee from the Bumblebee Trinkets (#155568) was attached with a Mini Glue Dot (#103683). The tag was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Enjoy your weekend!!

Art In Bloom

Hi everyone,

Have you seen the Art In Bloom stamp set and bundle in the annual catalogue? This is different to any other embossing folder and dies from Stampin’ Up! The die for the 3 large flowers fit into the embossing folder and the card is cut and embossed all at once. They can also be used separately as normal.

The Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder (#155989) includes the folder and Bloom dies and also is available with the Art In Bloom stamp set (#155085) which gives you the Art In Bloom Bundle (#158368).

The Soft Succulent card front (#155777) was embossed with the embossing folder. I stamped the flowers onto the Basic White card (#159228) using Pale Papaya ink (#155670). This was then cut and embossed with the die and embossing folder.  I attached the stamped flowers on top of the embossed flowers on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The leaves from the same stamp set were stamped with Soft Succulent ink (#155778). These leaves and the detailed leaves from Evening Evergreen card (#155575) and the small flowers from the Pale Papaya card (#155669) were also cut with the Bloom dies. These were attached to the card with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309).

“Congratulations” is from the Art Gallery stamp set (#158201) and stamped with Evening Evergreen ink (#155576). I cut this with a Stitched Rectangles Die 151820) and attached it to a piece of the 2021-2023 In Color Designer Series Paper (#155641).

Have a great day.

Masculine card

Hello again friends,

An easy masculine card today using the Well Suited Designer Series Paper (#154562).

The card base and card front are Basic White (#159228). I embossed the card front with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder (#150646). This was attached to the Cajun Craze card (#121683).
The Cajun Craze for the banners are cut 6.5cm, 7.5 cm and 8.5 cm long and 2cm wide.
The Well Suited DSP were cut 5.9cm, 6.9cm & 7.9cm and 1.2cm wide.
I punched each end of the banners with the Banners Pick A Punch (#153608). This punch will punch 3 different widths and 2 different ends.
“Happy Birthday” is from the Artistically Inked stamp set (#154542) and stamped with Night Of Navy ink (#147110), then I used a Die from the Art In Bloom Dies (#158368) to cut the sentiment. I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) to attach the sentiment to the card.

Have a great day.

Elegantly Said

Hello again friends,

I had a lovely relaxing break so am back again using new exciting products from the Annual catalogue. I hope you have had time to make lots of cards in this time.
Today I have used the Elegantly Said stamp set (#155095)  and Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper (#155761) for this beautiful card.

I have used Basic White card (#159228) and Basic Gray card (#121689) as well as the DSP. I stamped the border from the Elegantly Said stamp set with Basic Gray ink (#155095). This Basic White card front was then embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (#154317) and attached to the Basic Gray card. The DSP was attached to Copper Foil Sheet (#142020), then attached to the card.

The flower and sentiment are also from the Elegantly Said stamp set. The sentiment was stamped with Basic Gray ink and cut with a die from the Tailor Made dies (#155563). The Silver Simply Elegant Trim (#155766) was threaded through the tag. The flower was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and heat embossed with Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder from the Metallics set (#155555). This was set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The flower was then fussy cut and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).
