Bouquet Bigz L Die

Hello,

Wow what a gorgeous flower!!!!

This is made using the Bouquet Bigz L Die (#137367) which is available from the occasions catalogue. This finished flower is quite large as I have used the 3 largest petals. I cut the petals using Blackberry Bliss card (#133682). The outside layer uses 7 petals, the 2nd layer also used 7 petals and the inner layer used 6 petals. The stamens in the centre were cut from So Saffron card (#108611) and I cut 5 of these and adhered the flower together with hot melt glue. I sprayed the finished flower with some (retired) Gold Smooch Spritz for a lovely shimmer. I shaped the leaves with a bone folder (#102300) before assembling them.

Today's tip. You can cut 3 or 4 layers of cardstock at one time with these dies. If using DSP you can cut even more as it is thinner.

Have a great weekend.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Moon lake

Hi Ladies,

The Moon Lake stamp set (#c138540, #w137149) has been used for this easy card.

The base card is Whisper White (#106549) and I have also used Basic Black (#121688) and Crushed Curry card (#131288). I heat embossed the image from Moon Lake using Versamark (#102283) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129) and this was cut out using the Deco Labels Collection Framelits (#130102). I used the Decorative Dots embossing folder (#133520) on the base card and Woodgrain (#127821) on the Crushed Curry card. Happy Birthday is from the Big Day stamp set (#c139112, #w139109) and stamped with the Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) I used the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410) to cut the black card on the side.

Something Lacey and Butterfly basics

Hi again,

The beautiful Something Lacy background stamp (#c138900, #w137155) has been used on both the Melon Mambo card (#119980) and the Whisper White card (#106549)

I used Pink Pirouette ink (#126956) on the White card and Melon Mambo ink (#126948) on the Melon Mambo card for a subtle effect on both. I also used Garden Green card (#108605). The flower from Butterfly Basics stamp set (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154) was stamped with Garden Green ink (#126973). I then stamped the flower from the same image with Melon Mambo ink, cut it by hand and attached it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The butterfly and sentiment are also from the Butterfly Basics stamp set. The punches used are the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch (#119275) and Decorative Label (#120907).

Flower Patch bundle

Welcome,

When using this Flower Patch stamp set (#p134207) I always seem to choose nice bright cheery colours.

The base card is Daffodil Delight (#121680), then I placed Night Of Navy (#106577) on top, which I embossed with the Decorative Dots folder (#133520). This was also cut with the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410). The flowers and leaves are stamped on Whisper White card (#106549) using Crushed Curry ink (#131173), Daffodil Delight (#126944), Pumpkin Pie (#126945), Cajun Craze (#126965), Pear Pizzaz (#131180), Real Red (#126949), Garden Green (#126973) and Night of Navy (#126970). The sentiment is from the Butterfly Basics stamp set (#c138816), #w138813, #p137154). I punched this with the Decorative Label punch (#120907). All the flowers are cut using the coordinating Flower Flair Framelits Dies (#133731). Buying the Stamp set and Dies as a bundle (#136788) gives you a saving of 15% and who doesn't like that. Stampin Dimensionals (#104430) and a Pearl basic Jewel (#119247) were used on the card.

It's Wednesday again so here are this weeks WEEKLY DEALS.

Have a great day.

Treat bag

Hello friends,

I have had a very busy but enjoyable few days. I celebrated a special birthday with family and friends which was fantastic and still getting over it, so today I have made this very easy Treat Bag.

This cute treat bag is made using the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies (#137547) which can be found in the Occasions catalogue. As well as making the treat bag there are a variety of dies included which can be used on cards and scrapbooking as well. The DSP used for this bag is Best Year Ever (#138633) from Sale-a-bration. The heart is from Cherry Cobbler card (#121681), For You is from Crushed Curry card (#131288) and the banner is Whisper White (#106549) which was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (#117335). Then I added some Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine (#123125).
These treat bags will be very versatile - great for treats, notes or gift cards.

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Blendabilities with DSP

Hi and welcome,

Blendabilities are so versatile. I have used them today to colour the Back to Black DSP (#133700). You don't have to be too fussy when colouring because if you go onto the black area it won't show up, which is great.

I used the lightest of the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities (#130998). The other DSP is Best Day Ever (#138633) from Sale-a-bration (no colouring done on this). The cardstock is Daffodil Delight (#121680), Basic Black (#121688) and Whisper White (#106549). The inks are Daffodil Delight (#126944) and Crushed Curry (#131173). The flowers are from the Stippled Blossoms stamp set (#c126747, #w132076) and the sentiment from Tag Talk (#c134252, w134249). This was punched with the coordinating Label Bracket Punch (#132153).
One of the flowers and the sentiment was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

There is a large range of Stampin' Blendabilities Markers included in the free products from Sale-a-bration (and who doesn't like some free products). So to check these out or any of the other free products click here.
There are 3 ways to get your free products - Shop, Host or Join. Just contact me for further info. This offer ends 31st March.

Today's tip- use the Stamp-a-Ma-Jig (#101049) to line up the 2 images for the flower. This helps to position the stamp image exactly where you want it, which is necessary with 2 step stamping.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Blendabilities

Hello,

Today I have used Blendabilities on Brushed Gold card (#124917) which gives a more subtle colour than when used on Whisper White. I have also previously coloured on gold card with the Stampin' Write markers which gives another lovely and even more subtle effect.

The stamp set is Corner Garden (#c134048, #w134045) and I heat embossed this using Versamark (#102283) and Black Embossing Powder (#109133). I then coloured with a range of Blendabilities - Old Olive (#130999), Calypso Coral (#130996), Wisteria Wonder (#131002), Daffodil Delight (#130998), Coastal Cabana (#131000) and Melon Mambo (#130994). I used Basic Black card (#121688) to mat the gold card, and Baked Brown Sugar card (#131301) for the sentiment. The Happy Birthday is from Label Love stamp set (#c130622,#130619) and stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad (#132708). As usual I attached this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Have a great day.

Chalk Talk

Hi,

The background for this card is using the Something Lacy background stamp (#c138900, #137155) and stamped using Crumb Cake ink (#126975).

The cardstock is Whisper White (#106549), Pacific Point (#116202) and Crushed Curry (#131288). The hearts are cut from the Red Glimmer Paper (#121790) using the Hearts Collection Framelits (#125599). The tag was stamped with the Chalk Talk stamp set (#c130634, #w130631) with Pacific Point ink (#126951), then cut with the coordinating Chalk Talk Framelits (#129983). I stamped the tag again with Versamark (#102283) and embossed it with Crushed Curry embossing powder (#133753). I then cut out the "something" and attached it on top of the tag using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). I added a piece of White Organza Ribbon (#114319) to the Crushed Curry card then attached the hearts to the card.

Have a great weekend.

Moon lake

Hi,

The Moon Lake stamp set (#c138540, #137149) has 3 beautiful nature images and I have used one of them on this card.

The background was stamped with the Hardwood stamp using Crumb Cake ink (#126975). The Cardstock is Early Espresso (#121686), Crushed Curry (#131288) and Whisper White (#106549).
I stamped the bird on the branch using Early Espresso ink (#126974) and I coloured the bird with the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blendabilities Markers (#130998). The sentiments are from the Chalk Talk stamp set (#c130634, #130631) and are cut with the coordinating Chalk Talk Framelits (#129983). Both are stamped with the Yellow Citrus Color Box Chalk Ink (#138093). The black card is the Chalkboard Paper (#137786).The photo didn't show the words very well on this paper - looks great on the card. Here's a close up which shows it a bit better.

The Moon Lake stamp set, Chalkboard Paper and the ColorBox Chalk inks are all available from the occasions catalogue. Click here to see these and all the other great new products.

Irresistibly Yours DSP with Stippled Blossoms

Hello ladies,

Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP (#138635) is another of the FREE products from Sale-a-bration. I have used it for the background on today's card and you will find it on page 15 of the SAB Catalogue. Click here to see all the Free Sale-a-bration products

This beautiful white paper has a glossy white pattern which can be coloured using a variety of techniques. The shiny pattern resists the colour. I sponged the paper with Daffodil Delight ink (#126944), then rubbed the area with a tissue to remove any colour from the glossy pattern. Another technique is using a brayer and roll over the area. The other cardstock is Whisper White (#106549), Daffodil Delight (#121680) and Basic Black (#121688). The flowers from the Stippled Blossoms stamp set (#c126747, #w132076) have been stamped with Daffodil Delight ink and Basic Black (#126980). I added some Gold Glitz Dazzling Diamonds (#133755) to the flowers. Happy Birthday is from Express Yourself (now retired). I used the Postage Stamp punch (#122344), and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch (#119275). The Framelit used to cut the sentiment was one of the Word Bubbles Framelits (#132968) but I cut the little pointy bit off. I attached one of the flowers and the sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Butterfly with Glimmer Paper

Hello,

While making the banner yesterday and cutting the butterflies with the Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719), I realised I could make a beautiful Butterfly with the pieces that would normally be thrown away.

Firstly, I cut the butterfly with the Butterfly Thinlits Dies (#137360) using Elegant Eggplant card (#108614). Then I cut the butterfly again in the Gold Glimmer Paper. I glued the Elegant Eggplant butterfly, using the Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755), to a piece of scrap card - doesn't matter what colour you use. Then, one by one I took a piece from the gold and glued it into the corresponding part of the Elegant Eggplant butterfly. It is a bit fiddley but is worth the trouble. It does look much better in real life too. I then cut around the butterfly and attached it to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). I embossed the Whisper White base card (#106549) with the Perfect Polka Dots folder (#117335). I punched some Elegant Eggplant card with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon border punch (#119275) and attached this to the edge of some 5/8" Organza Ribbon (#114319). Happy Birthday from Big Day Stamp set (#c139112, #w139109) was stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969). I used the Decorative Label punch (#120907) and the Label Bracket punch (#132153) for the sentiment.

Butterfly Banner

Welcome,

I made a banner using the Banner Framelits (#132173) and Butterfly Thinlits Dies (#137360) and was thrilled with the finished product. Yes, butterflies again!!!

The banners were made using Elegant Eggplant (#108614) and Wisteria Wonder (#124389). I embossed the banners with the Fancy Fan folder (#127751). Using a piece of 5/8" Organza Ribbon (#114319) I attached the Tea Lace Paper Doilies (#129399) which I folded in half, then attached these to the banners. The large butterflies were cut with the Butterflies Thinlits Dies (#137360) using Elegant Eggplant card and Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719). I punched the smaller butterflies with the Bitty Butterfly punch (#129406). The letters were cut using an electronic cutter using Whisper White card (#106549) and Elegant Eggplant.
I also made 2 rosettes with the Elegant Eggplant from the Regals DSP stack (#130139). To make these I cut 2 pieces- 5cmx30cm - for each rosette. These were then cut using the Designer Rosette Bigz XL. I added a butterfly punched with the Elegant Butterfly (#127526). These were attached to the ribbon where the banner was pinned to the wall.

Happy Stamping!

Butterfly Basics Bundle

Hi,

Have I mentioned (once or twice, or quite often) that I love butterflies? So of course I just can't resist this Butterfly Basics Bundle (#c139323, w139322, #p138865) which includes the stamp set and Butterfly Thinlits dies with a saving of 15%.

Side on view to show the layers-

The base card is Whisper White (#106549) and I have used 4 different layers for the butterfly using Melon Mambo (#126948) for the bottom layer, then Blushing Bride (#131287), followed by Pink Pirouette (#116203) and White Vellum (#106584) on the top. Each layer was put together with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) were added to the body of the butterfly. All the images stamped are from the Butterfly Basics stamp set (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154). I inked the flower and leaves with Pear Pizzaz (#131180). I then removed the ink from the larger flower using a blender pen (#102845) then added the Melon Mambo with a Stampin' Write Marker from the Brights collection (#131259) before stamping the image. Melon Mambo (#126948) and Pink Pirouette (#126956) were used to sponge the edges. Pink Pirouette was also used for the beehive pattern under the butterfly.

Today's tip.
Another method for applying 2 or more colours on one image is to use Stampin' Write Markers for each area. Sometimes this can take time and the first colours applied may start to dry. To re-activate the inks, just "huff" on the stamp and stamp as normal.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Traveler

Hello.

The old steam train is a favourite of mine at the moment. It's from the Traveler stamp set (#c134513, #w134510).

Very Vanilla (#106550), Marina Mist (#121682) and Early Espresso (#121686) are the Cardstock used. The inks are also Marina Mist (#126962) and Early Espresso (#126974). Happy Birthday is from the Big Day stamp set (#c139112, #w139109) which is one of the free products from Sale-a-bration. The pattern down the side and the "splotches" are from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (#c130517, #w130514). The sentiment was punched with the Decorative Label punch (#120907).

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
