 Hello,

We all have left over designer paper which we just can’t throw away, so why not use it, like I have on this easy card.

Using the Tile Garden Dies (#168573), I cut a variety of pieces from the Scenic Coast Specialty Designer Series Paper (#167773).

I taped each of the squares to the Lunar Lustre Specialty Paper (#167199). This paper is in the Last Chance products, so available while stocks last. The card front was matted with Gorgeous Grape card (#147011) and attached to the Basic White base card (#166781).

The sentiment is from the Framed & Fabulous stamp set (#170573). This was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powders (#165678), then set with the Heat Tool (#129056). This was also cut with one of the dies and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

The embellishments are from the retired Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments.

Country Woods Designer Series Paper

 Hello everyone,

I have used a mix of current and retired products on today’s card. I needed a card for an 18 year old apprentice carpenter so the retired Trusty Tools Bundle is perfect along with the Country Woods Designer Series Paper (#163393).

I matted the 2 pieces of DSP with Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper (#165901). This is available from the Last Chance products while stocks last. The base card is Basic White (#166781).

I stamped the tools from the Trusty Tools stamp set, on Smoky Slate card (#131291) using VersaMark (#102283) with Black Powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powders (#165678). This was set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The tools were cut with co-ordinating Trusty Tools dies. I used Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to add some glimmer to the tools. I added some colour to the paint brush bristles using the Golden Glow Shimmer Brush (#167662).

“Happy Birthday” is from the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies (#170042) and I used the Copper Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls (#170553), on Basic White card.

The sentiment, 18 and tools were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

The screws and washers also cut from Earthen Toned Metallic Specialty Paper were glued with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755).

This is a larger card, using a full sheet of A4 and scored in half.

Elegantly Wrapped Bundle

 Hello everyone,

The latest catalogue is now available so I have used some of the products on today’s card.

I stamped the bow from the Elegantly Wrapped stamp set (#168474) using VersaMark (#102283) and Gold powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powders (#165678) on Poppy Parade card (#121694). This was cut with a die from the Elegantly Wrapped dies (#168480).

The Basic White card front (#166781) was dry embossed with the Swirls Of Magic Embossing Folder (#168179), then matted with Poppy Parade card and attached to the Basic White base card.

The 2 squares are cut with the Tile Garden dies (#168573) from Garden Poetry Designer Series Paper (#167113). These were taped together.

I used a die from the Bordered In Beauty dies (#167550) to cut the Gold Foil (#132622) “ribbons” and these were attached to the “present” with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).

“Happy Birthday” is from the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies (#170042) using Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls (#170066). This is using the Negative foil with the Reverse Hot Foil Dies (#170043). When I do any hot foiling, I then do the negative image so I will always have lots of spare foiled pieces ready to use. “Happy Birthday was cut with the co-ordinating cutting die from the set.

I find when using the reverse image, I get the best results using smoother papers. Basic White, White Willow and Two-Tone card all give great results. The shine on the foil made this hard to photograph but the gold foiling is not mottled as it appears on this photo.

The ribbon and sentiment were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). I made my own embellishments using the excess gold hot foil from around the sentiment. These were cut with a die from the Noel Tidings dies (#168457) and attached with Mini Glue Dots.

August Paper Pumpkin Kit variation

 Hello friends,

After using the laser cut piece from the August Paper Pumpkin kit as a mask on yesterday’s card, I have now used the same piece for the card front on this card.

I had applied the Soft Sea Foam ink (#147012) and Pool Party ink (#147107) with Blending Brushes (#153611), so this was ready to be attached to the base card from the kit.

The sentiment and frames are from the Exciting Times stamp set (#167875). I used VersaMark (#102283) and the Gold Powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powders (#165678) for the sentiment and radiating frame, and set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). This was punched with the Rounded Rectangle punch (#167880). The outer frame was stamped with Coastal Cabana ink (#147097) and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The flowers are from the Detailed Flora Dies (#168664) and I used Coastal Cabana card (#131302) and Gold Foil sheet (#132622) and attached them to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).

August Paper Pumpkin alternative

 Hi friends,

I have used some of the pieces on today’s card from the Kindred Greetings Kit, which is the August Paper Pumpkin Kit.

I used the laser cut leaf image from the kit as a mask. I used Soft Sea Foam ink (#147102) with a Blending Brush (#153611), then I used Pool Party ink 161678) on top but trying to get a bit of variation in the colour.

I cut the arch with an Everyday Arches Die (#164629) from Pool Party card (#124391) and I dry embossed this with the retired Exposed Brick Embossing Folder. I then used 2 of the Everyday Arches dies to cut the “frame” from Coastal Cabana card (#131302).

The butterflies are from the All AFlutter stamp set (#167564) and I stamped these with Calypso Coral ink (#147101) and punched them with the All Aflutter punch (#167569).

“Best Wishes” from the Framed & Fabulous stamp set (#170573) and also stamped with Calypso Coral ink. This was stamped onto the circle die cut from the kit and attached to another die cut piece with the leaves.

The background and the embossed arch were taped to the Basic White base card (#166781). The “frame” was attached with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755). The butterflies & sentiment were attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

The embellishments used are the Shimmering Dots (#167949).

Framed & Fabulous Hot Foil Dies

 Hello friends,

Yes, more hot foiling on this card, using the Framed & Fabulous Hot Foil Dies (#170578) as well as others.

Many of the Hot Foil dies include both the hot foiled dies and cutting dies like this one.

I hot foiled the circle of fine lines from the Framed & Fabulous Hot Foil dies using Green Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls (#170555) onto Gold Foil Sheets (#132622). This was then cut with one of the cutting dies from the set. I then used the left over green foil on Basic White card (#166781) using the Reverse Hot Foil Plate (#170043), and then I cut this with another of the cutting dies with the scalloped edge. This was dry embossed with the Textured Tree Ring 3D Embossing Folder (#168220).

The flower is from the Garden Silhouette Hot Foil Dies (#170041) and I used Gold Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls (#170066). This flower was fussy cut from the larger image and was a left over from a previous project. I now have a huge range of “leftover” foiled images & sentiments which are very handy when making a card.

“Just A Little Hello” was also gold foiled and is from the Sweetly Sentimental Hot Foil Dies (#170052). This also has a cutting die to cut all the sentiments in this set.

The Basic White card front was dry embossed with the now retired Dotted Circles Embossing Folder and attached to the Basic White base card. Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the die cut Gold Foil Sheet to the card. The green foil & flower were taped and the sentiment was attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).

Lustrous Leaves Hot Foil Bundle

 Hi everyone,

I always love some glimmer and shine on my cards so the hot foil and the Metal Effects Specialty Paper (#167105) doesn’t disappoint. Also my obsession with Hot Foiling continues.

I have used the Lustrous Leaves Hot Foil Dies (#170558) with Copper Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls (#170553) on Basic White card (#166781). The Lustrous Leaves Bundle (#170559) also includes the Lustrous Leaves Decorative Masks (#170557) which I have used to colour the leaves using Blending Brushes (#153611). The coloured inks used are Old Olive (#147090), Pecan Pie (#161665), Crumb Cake (#147116), Cajun Craze (#147085), Cherry Cobbler (#147083), Granny Apple Green (#147095), Pretty Peacock (#150083) and Golden Glow (#167676). It’s great to be able to get different shades of the one colour with using less colour and pressure for the lighter colour, or more colour and pressure for a darker colour, which I have done on some of the leaves.

The cutting dies were used to cut the leaves once they were coloured.

I used the Framed & Fabulous Hot Foil Dies (#170578) & Copper Foil for the circular image and cut it with a cutting die from the same set. “Best Wishes” is from the Framed & Fabulous stamp set (#170573). These are available as a bundle - Framed & Fabulous Bundle - (#170579).

The card front is the Copper from the Metal Effects Specialty Paper (#167105) and I dry embossed this with the Textured Tree Ring Embossing Folder (#168220) before attaching it to the Basic White base card.

The leaves & sentiment were attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) and Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The embellishments on the sentiment are from the Glossy Garden Dots (#168577).
