Swallowtail and Papillon Potpourri

Hello Stampers

Today's card features both the Swallowtail and Papillon Potpourri Stamp sets. As you probably know, I love butterflies so any chance to use these beautiful stamp sets I do. Stampin' Up! have 15% off the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and coordinating Bitty Butterfly punch when purchased as a bundle, till the end of September, so to take advantage of this contact me now.

Firstly cut out a piece of Whisper White (#106549) with the Labels Collection Framelits (#125598), then temporarily place it onto the base card where you want it . Stamp the Swallowtail (#129216) onto the 2 pieces at the same time. The top piece is then attached to the Bermuda Bay card (#131286) which has been cut with the next size Framelit. I embossed the base card with the Fancy Fan folder (#127751) and the Bermuda Bay with Perfect Polka Dots (#117335). The small butterflies are from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set (#123759) using Bermuda Bay ink (#131171) and punched with the Bitty Butterfly (#129406). "For You" is from Chalk Talk stamp set (#130634) and I used one of the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911) to cut this. Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the sentiment and small butterflies to the card. The smallest of the Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) were added to the body of the butterflies.

Thought for the day-

Till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊

MDS

Hello everyone,

This is my latest scrapbook page using a designer page and moving elements around to suit as well adding on other elements.

I am hoping to do some photo books of my grandchildren  and some of our holidays, but just need to find some more time to do them. It is however, very easy to do with the designer pages as a lot of the elements are already there. They can be moved to suit your particular page and add your own elements as well. You can make them as simple or as sophisticated as you like. One great thing with digital scrapbooking is that if you put something on the page and then you don't like it, it's easy to remove it and try something else. Also the size of the stamps and punches can be changed, as well as changing colours of DSP, so the possibilities are endless.
If you would like any more info about MDS please contact me.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping,
Lesley.

Morning Meadow

Hello friends

Today's card is one we made at a friends card class, using the Morning Meadow stamp set (#129678).

Card stock used is Whisper White (#106549) and Calypso Coral (#124392). DSP is from the Epic Day This and That (#130814). Coastal Cabana Ruffle Stretch Trim (#130024) was used. The Happy Birthday is from the Morning Meadow set which is available as a hostess product. This was then cut using one of the Apothercary Accents Framelits (#127003). The Calypso Coral card was cut by hand, after tracing around the Framelit. Crumb Cake ink (#126975) and Calypso coral (# 126983) were used for the sentiment.
The flowers are stamped also from the same stamp set, and punched with the coordinating Pansy punch (#130698). The flowers were stamped with Coral Caypso ink (#126983), Blushing Bride (#131172) and Pink Pirouette (#126956). I attached these using Stampin' Dimensionals, then added Pearl Basic Jewels to the flower centre. A Tea Lace Paper Doilie was used behind the flowers.

You can check out more of Lyn's cards at Lyn's Creations in Paper.

Thought for the day-

Owl builder punch

Hello again,

I've been away and haven't had a chance to do any cards until today. I love the owl punch and had a spare owl lying around so thought I'd make a quick card with it.

The card colours are Real Red (#106578) Pacific Point (#116202) and Very Vanilla (#106550). I embossed using the Woodgrain folder (#127821), Chevron folder (#127749) and Perfect Polka Dots folder (#117335). The punches used are the Owl Builder (#118074), Bird Builder for the leaves (#117191), Decorative Label (#120907) and Artisan Label (#130920). The heart is from the Hearts a Flutter Famelits (#130159). I used the Happy Birthday from the Postage Collection Stamp set (#129240) using Pacific Point ink (#126951). I layered the elements for the sentiment using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). They were also used to attach the owl. 2 Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) were also added.
After embossing with the Woograin I brayered using Crumb Cake ink (#126975).

Thought for the day-

Have a great day.

Till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊

MDS Happy Birthday card

Hello

Today I have had a little play with MDS to make a card.

Firstly I chose a background from Sweet Designs. The cupcakes are from the stamps - Cake and Ice Cream. I coloured the cupcakes using the Colour tool and chose a variety colours. The brush size can be changed to a smaller brush to make it easier to colour smalleer areas. The Happy Birthday sentiment is a stamp from the Delightful Dozen. I also changed the colours on this with the colour tool. Changing the colours digitally is a bit like using markers to colour your stamps to get different colours on the one stamp.  I found the Simple Stitches and Taffeta ribbon in the embellishments and I recoloured the ribbon. This was a fun and easy card to make.

After attending the Make A Statement Tour in Brisbane and learning about MDS, I am looking forward to using this software for a variety of projects.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping,
Lesley.

Dress Up Framelits

Hi crafty ladies

This is one of the cards we made at my card class today using the Dress Up Famelits.

I cut the edge of the Real Red base card (#116202) with the Large Scallop Edgelits (#127019), then embossed with the coordinating Delicate Designs folder (#127023). I then attached a piece of Whisper White card (#106549) to the underneath and lined it up with the back edge of the card.
The piece of vellum (#106584) was embossed using the Stripes folder (#123128) and attached to the card with the cute little Mini Brads (#122941). The dress was cut from Red Glimmer Paper (#121790) with the Dress Up Framelits (#130101).The coathanger from The Hung Up Cute Clips (#129389) is just perfect for this dress. I used a Candy Dots Brad Base (#132293) and Candy Dot from the Neutrals collection (#130934) to hang the hanger on. The dress was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) were added to the dress for that extra bling.
Congratulations is stamped with Real Red ink (#126949) using the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits.

Thought for the day-

That's all for today, and thanks for your support.
Till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊

My Digital Studio

Hello everyone

Today I attended the Make A Statement Digital Tour, Brisbane to learn about My Digital Studio. It was a great day and I learnt so much. This is a quick page I did when I arrived home.

I used a 12x12 template which already had a lot of embellishments on it, then added the photos and Text. I also added the mats around the photos. When I indicated I wanted all the photos on this page matted I didn't realize it would also mat the designer papers on the page as well. I liked how this was done. I am looking forward to playing with this great digital program and hope to have a lot more to show you in the future. There are so many possibilities for using MDS. It will compliment what I do now with the Stampin' Up! products.

If you would like any more info on My Digital Studio please contact me.

Till next time
Happy Stamping

Flower Shop

Hi everyone,

Yes, I'm using the Flower Shop stamp set (#130942) again today for this quick and easy card.

Card stock used is Whisper White (#106549) and Cherry Cobbler (#121681). I used versamark (#102283) and heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder (#122949) for one flower and Clear embossing powder for the other flowers. Don't forget to use the Embossing Buddy (#103083) before stamping and embossing as it prevents powder sticking to your project where it's not wanted. Celebrate from Sketched Birthday stamp set (#130426) was also heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler, and cut using the Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267), then attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Thought for the day -

That's all for today.

Framed Tulips

Today's card is one we made at my friend Susan's card class. Instead of the normal opening, this "tag" opens as shown-

The base card is Basic Black (#121688), the next layer is Chocolate Chip (#108599) and the tag is Naturals Ivory (#108630). The Chocolate Chip card is embossed with the Framed Tulips (#121809). Using the Simply Scored Scoring Tool (#122334) I scored on the Naturals Ivory card. The sentiment from the Perfectly Penned stamp set (#122892) was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink (#131286)
The Boho Blossoms punch (#119858) was used to punch Crisp Cantaloupe card (#131303). The flowers were made using the 1-1/4" circle punch (#119861), which was then cut into a spiral and rolled around a skewer to form the flower. Bermuda Bay card (#131286) and Strawberry Slush card (#131300) were used for the flowers.
The circle from the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch pack (#118309) was used for the small circle on the tag (inside and out) then a Candy dot (#130933) placed on top.
Check out SusanSalutations for more of her lovely cards.

Timeless Talk

Hello Stampers and crafty people

For the background I stamped the Off the Grid stamp with Versamark (#102283) and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder (#109129). The gramophone was embossed with black embossing powder (#109133), as was the "thought bubble". I hand cut the gramophone and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The sentiment uses the Bermuda Bay ink (#131171) As well as sponging the edges of the Very Vanilla card. The card stock used are Bermuda Bay (#131286), Basic Black (#121688) and Very Vanilla (#106550). Crochet Trim ribbon (#118481) was ruffled along the base of the card.

Flower Shop stamp set and Pansy punch

Hello everyone

I guess you can tell what my favourite stamp set and punch is at the moment - yes, the Flower Shop stamp set (130942)and coordinating Pansy Punch (#130698). I couldn't resist making this vase of flowers.

I was inspired by the picture on page 95 of the current annual catalogue. This is my version. The great thing with the Stampin' Up! catalogue is that it has so many projects to get you inspired.
I heat embossed with versa mark (#102283) and Pewter embossing powder (#124114) onto various coloured card stock. I did 2 of each. After punch the flowers, I added hot melt glue to the middle of the plain side of one of the flowers, placed a piece of florist wire for the stem (left over from my cake decorating days) onto the hot glue then added the second flower of the same colour to the top, so the flowers are double sided.
Tip:- I found it easier to line up the flowers to make sure they match perfectly, before applying the glue. I also punched some leaves using the Bird Builder punch (#117191) and Gumball Green card (#127543)and placed in the vase.
Card stock used for the flowers are Melon Mambo (#1119980), Island Indigo (#124390), Tangerine Tango (#116206), Real Red (#106578), Rich Razzleberry (#119981), Pistachio Pudding (#131299), Crisp Cantaloupe (#131303), Tempting Torquoise (#108598), Wisteria Wonder (#124389) and Daffodil Delight (#121680).

Flower Shop

Hello stamping friends

This is one of my favourite card folds and is very easy. Below is the card opened.

Card stock used are Real Red (#106578), Island Indigo(#124390) and Crushed Curry (#131288). I embossed the front of the Real Red card with the Perfect Polka Dots folder (#117335) and the Crushed Curry with the Stripes folder (#123128).
The frame from the Postage Collection stamp set (#129240) is heat embossed with Versamark (#102283) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129). The flowers from the Flower Shop stamp set (#130942) are also gold embossed.
Happy Birthday, also from the Postage Collection set, uses Island Indigo ink (#126986) and is on Whisper White card (#106549). This is punched with the Postage Stamp punch (#122344). The flowers are punched with the Pansy punch (#130698).
Sizes for the card are -
Real Red - 21cm x 10cm, and scored at 7.5cm.
Island Indigo - 12.5 x 9 cm.
Crushed Curry - 21 x 8cm, and scored at 11.5cm
When attaching the Island Indigo square with the sentiment to the card, use Stampin' Dimensionals on the left half only so that the Crushed Curry card can be tucked under.
The colour coach (#130118) helped me choose the colour combinations and don't they look great together.

Thought for the day-

That's all for today,
So till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊

Postage Collection

Hi again,
An image from the Postage Collection (#129240) from the Hostess sets, was used for today's card to frame the letters.

I used Midnight Muse ink (#126860) on Whisper White card(#106549), then punched with the matching Postage Stamp punch (#122344). The letters from the ABC- 123 Sketch Alphabet & Numbers were stamped with Real Red ink (#126949). Of course the Stamp-a-ma-jig (#101049) is great to get them stamped just in the right place.
The base card is Midnight Muse (#127546). The Scallop was cut with the Large Scallop Egdelits (#127019) on the Real Red card (#106578). It was then embossed with the Delicate Designs folder (#127023). Some Midnight Muse Stitched Satin ribbon (#126847) was added to the card.

The other card stock used are Basic Black (#121688) and Whisper White (#106549). The Whisper White is embossed with the Honeycomb embossing folder (#129378) and I have put the de-embossed side up.
Real Red Stitched Grosgrain ribbon (#126875) was attached to the card, under the sentiment which is also from the Six Sided Sampler set,

Stampin' Emboss Powder

Hello Stampers and crafters

I have used both Cherry Cobbler (#122949) and Pewter (#124114) Stampin' Emboss powder on this card.

The Gorgeous Grunge (#130517) stamp set was used on the Smokey Slate (#131291) card with the 2 embossing powders. Black emboss powder was used for the car from the Postage Collection (#129240) which is one of the Hostess sets. Versamark ink (#102283) is used with the embossing powders.
Chalk Talk (#130634) is the stamp set for the sentiment and the coordinating Chalk Talk Framelits (#129983) to cut it. I used the Postage Stamp(#122344) to punch out the car. The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch was used for the Cherry Cobbler "ribbon".
The Candy Dots Brad Bases (#132293) and the Neutrals Candy Dots (#130934) are used to attach the Smokey Slate card to the Basic Black card (#121688) and the Cherry Cobbler card (#121681).

Flower Shop

Hello again,

There are so many beautiful products in the new catalogue, and I just love these pansies from the Flower Shop stamp set (#130942) and of course the coordinating Pansy Punch (#130698). It's so convenient to have matching stamps and punches.

I heat embossed each of the pansies using Coastal Cabana (#131185), Crushed Curry (#131173) and Pumpkin Pie (#126945) inks, with clear embossing powder (#109130). I dry embossed the Pumpkin Pie base card (#108601)with the Perfect Polka Dots (#117335), the Coastal Cabana card (#131302) with the Chevron folder (#127749) and the Crushed Curry card (#131288) with the Fancy Fan folder (#127751). Basic Black card (#121688) and ink (#126980) was also used. Happy Birthday is from Bring On The Cake stamp set (#121958).

I chose the colours for this card using the colour coach(#130118). This is such a great tool to help with colours, although these aren't the only colour combinations. Create your own, and add them to the colour coach for future reference.

Thought for the day-

Have a great day,

😊Happy Stamping😊

Timeless Talk

Hello

I have used 2 of the new In Colours for today's card - Baked Brown Sugar (#131301) and Pistachio Pudding (#131299) with the Timeless Talk stamp set (#126607)- also new in the current catalogue.

I embossed the base card with the Stripes folder (#123128). One of the Chalk Talk Framelits (#129983) was used at the top of the card with a Candy Dots Brad Base (#132293) and a Candy Dot from the Neutrals range (#130934). I love how you can use these Candy Dots alone or with the base so I have used them without the base at the bottom of the card and on the wheels. They are adhesive backed, so very easy to attach.
The inks are Baked Brown Sugar (#131174) and Pistachio Pudding (#131177). Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (#130517) was used at the bottom part of the Whisper White card (#106549).

Thought for the day-

That's all I have time for today
Till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊
