Stippled Blossoms

Good Afternoon,

The next card I made from the One Sheet Wonder uses piece #2.

The cardstock is Real Red (#106578), Basic Black (#121688) and Very Vanilla (#106550). The DSP is Flashback (#133699). The flower is from Stippled Blossoms (#c126747, #w132076). I used Crushed Curry ink (#131173) and Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708. The Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410) was used to cut the Very Vanilla card for the flower. The punches are Decorative Label (#120907), Label Bracket (#132153) and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border (#119275). The sentiment is from the Tag Talk stamp set (#c134252, #w134249).

Beautiful Bunch

Hello,

No 11 is the piece of DSP from the One Sheet Wonder on this card.

I stamped the swirl from Everything Eleanor (#c124164, #w131987) using Pacific Point ink (#126951) although it looks green due to it being stamped on the yellow DSP. The flower is from Beautiful Bunch (#c134282, #w134279). The background of the flower is stamped with Soft Sky (#131181) and Pacific Point (#126951) was used for the flower detail. The Fun Flower punch (#133785) was used to punch the flower. Champagne Glimmer Paper (#127885) was punched with one of the flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch (#119858) and added to the centre of the flower. Happy Birthday is from the Bloom with Hope stamp set (#c133952, #133949) and uses pacific Point ink. The Modern Label punch (#119849) and a Framelit from Project Life Cards and Labels (#135707) was used for the sentiment. The cardstock is Crushed Curry (#131288), Pacific Point (#116202), Soft Sky (#131292) and Whisper White (#106549) which was used for the flower.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

The Open Sea

Hi again,

Today's card uses the #10 piece from the One Sheet Wonder and using the Open Sea stamp set (#c123032, #w128454).

Here is the template I used for the One Sheet Wonder.

(Piece no 5 should be 6cm wide not 5cm as shown on the template).

The DSP is Flashback (#133699) which I have used for all the cards in the One Sheet Wonder series. The cardstock is Very Vanilla (#106550), and Basic Black (#121688). I stamped the ship using Versamark (#102283) and Black embossing powder (#109133) then this was heat set. I distressed the edges using the Stampin' Distress tool (#127562) and sponged the edges with Crushed Curry ink (#131173). Happy Birthday is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (#c126257, #w132022), using Memento ink pad (#132708) and cut with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267). The Banners Framelits (#132173) was used to cut the Banner. I embossed on the larger piece of black card with the Chevron folder (#127749). The sentiment and the ship were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Don't forget to check out the Year End Clearouts which end on the 5th January. There are still some fabulous deals on some amazing products.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Kinda Eclectic

Hello,
I hope you all had a Happy and relaxing Christmas. We had a quiet Christmas Day, with all the family coming on Boxing Day.

Today's card is the next one of the One Sheet Wonder series using piece #13.

I stamped on this piece of the Flasback DSP (#133799) using the Kinda Eclectic stamp set (#135347) with Tuxedo Black ink (#132708). Crushed curry ink (#131173) has also been used for the sentiment, small butterfly and starburst. The cardstock is Very Vanilla (#106550) and Basic Black (#121688). The punches used are Elegant Butterfly (#127526), Bitty Butterfly (#129406) and Decorative Label (#120907). Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) have been used on the butterfly and the corner of the card. Stampin' Dimensionals were used on the butterfly and sentiment.

Today's tip: Always stamp your image before punching. Also for most images to punch, it is best to stamp at the bottom of a piece of card with the image the correct way, so you can just put the card into the punch and punch it easily.

Have a great day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Gift card holder

Merry Christmas to everyone.

I made a Santa suit gift card holder which I needed for a friend. I have seen a few of these on various blogs ( one was Julie's Stamping Spot) and are so easy to make using the Envelope Punch Board (#133774).

Just choose the size you want to fit the gift card - this one is for a 3"x4" card. Make the envelope as directed on the Envelope Punch Board using Real Red card (#106578). I made a pocket to put the gift card in from Whisper White card (#106549. I add the Season's Greeting from the Bright and Beautiful stamp set (#c135029, #w135026) using Real Red ink (#126949) and the stars using Daffodil Delight ink (#126944). The belly band is made from Basic Black card (#121688) with the buckle from Silver Glimmer paper. This was punched with the Curly Label (#119851) and Petite Curly Label (#129405). So so easy!!!

Owl Builder

Hello,

An old favourite of mine is the Owl Builder punch (#118074).

The cardstock used is Island Indigo (#124390), Whisper White (#106549), Cherry Cobbler (#121681), Basic Black (#121688) and Baked Brown Sugar (#131301) with Subtles DSP stack (#130135). The stamps sets used are Gorgeous Grunge (#c130517, #w130514) for the splatters on the background of the Island Indigo card and Sketched Birthday (#c130426, #w130423) for the sentiment. I used Island Indigo ink (#126986) for both. The banner was cut with the Banners Framelits (#132173) and then embossed with the Woodgrain folder (#127821). I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (#117335) for the front of the owl. One of the Framelits from Project Life Cards and Labels (#135707) was used for the sentiment. The Bird Builder punch (#117191) was used for the leaves. The owl was attached using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Today's tip:
Use the Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner (#102394) and Stampin' Scrub (#126200) to clean all stamps after use. The cleaner also conditions your stamps. Lightly spray one pad with Stampin' Mist ( you do not need a lot). Scrub your stamp on the damp pad, then rub on the dry side of the pad to remove any left over ink or moisture. The Stampin' Scrub has 2 removable pads which are washable. Wash regularly under running water and allow to air dry.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Butterflies Thinlits Dies Sneak Peak

Hello,

As most people know I just love butterflies, so when I saw the beautiful Butterflies Thinlits Dies (#137360) in the new occasions catalogue which will be available from 6th January, I couldn't resist this set. There are 3 butterflies in the set with the butterfly on this card being the biggest - 11.1 x 8.9 cm.

A very simple card is all that is needed for this butterfly. I made the card 13x13cm so made an envelope to fit using the Envelope Punch board (#133774). The size I used for this from the punch board is for a 5" x 5" card using 8-1/8" square Whisper White cardstock (# 106549). This was the perfect fit for the card. I stamped butterflies from Kinda Eclectic (#c135350, #w135347) on the envelope, just inking the stamp once, but stamping 5 butterflies so each becomes lighter.
Now back to the card. I cut the butterfly from Red Glimmer Paper (#121790) which gives a lovely sparkle. I attached this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Before I attached the butterfly, I embossed the top piece of the Whisper White card with one of the Delicate Designs folders (#127023). This piece of card was attached to a piece of Gold Foil Sheet (#132622). The sentiments are from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706) using Real red ink (#126949. The dots were done with the Real Red Stampin' Write Marker (#100052).

Today's tip.
For the gold foil sheet I cut a piece to the required size (12x12cm). Then I cut a square out of the middle leaving about 2 cm on each side. This is a way of not wasting the more expensive papers when you only want a small amount showing. The piece removed from the middle can be used for another card.

There are so many new products available in the upcoming Occasions catalogue so looking forward to sharing them with you in the New Year. Also Sale-a-bration starts on 6th January where you can earn free products by shopping, joining Stampin' Up! or hosting a party. Want more information? Just contact me, I am here to help you.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Lovely Lace Embossing Folder

Hi again,

The beautiful Lovely Lace embossing folder (#133737) was used for the background of this card.

The card stock is Whisper White (#106549) and Strawberry Slush (#131300). The butterflies from Papillon Potpourri (#c123759, #w132058) were stamped with Strawberry Slush ink (#131178) and punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch (#127526). These were placed on a piece of 5/8" Organza Ribbon. I coloured the edges of this ribbon by sponging with Strawberry Slush ink. Congratulations is from Embellished Events stamp set (#c126497,#w131984) and I have used the Word Window punch (#119857) and Modern Label Punch (#119849). Pearl Basic Jewels were added to the butterflies and the centre of one of the embossed doilies on the background.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Timeless Talk

Welcome,

Today's card is the 3rd in the One Sheet Wonder series, using #12 - an 8x8cm piece of DSP from Flashback (#133699). See the template below-

The Very Vanilla card (#106550) is cut at 21cm x 10.5cm and scored at 7.5cm.
The Real Red card for the inside is 12.5cm x 9.5cm. The Crushed Curry card is 20cm x 8.5cm and scored at 11.5cm. I stamped the gramophone from Timelesss Talk (#c126607, #w126605) using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708) on Very Vanilla Card and this was taped to Basic Black card (#121688). This was attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). To allow the card with the DSP on it to tuck under this, just add the Dimensionals to the left side. Happy Birthday is from the Label Love stamp set (#c130622, #w130619) and punched with the Artisan Label punch (#130920). Real Red ink (#126949) was used to stamp the sentiment and sponge around the gramophone.

Today's tip: To add the red to the top and bottom of the sentiment, just punch with the same punch using red card. Cut the punched piece horizontally in half and tape on the back of the sentiment showing a small amount of red card.

That's the end of another week with Christmas only 6 days away. I think I have finished all my Christmas shopping. Just have to do some cooking.

Till next time,
Happy stamping!
Lesley.

Autumn Accents Bigz Die

Hi,

After cutting the leaves with the Autumn Accents Bigz die (#127812), I embossed them with the Lovely Lace folder (#133727), then sponged the edges using Old Olive ink (#126953). Pear Pizzaz card (#131290) was used for the leaves. I positioned the leaves on the "leafy" part of the embossing folder.

The flower is from Beautiful Bunch (#c134282, #w134279), stamped with Memento Tuxedo black ink (#132708) on Daffodil Delight card (#121680) and punched with the coordinating Fun Flower punch (#133785). I shaped the petals of the flower using a Bone Folder (#102300). A Rhinestone Basic Jewel (#119246) was added to the centre of the flower. The base card is Whisper White (#106549) and I embossed this with the Honeycomb folder (#129378). Happy Birthday is from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706) and I used the Scallop Oval punch (#119856) and one of the Ovals Collection Framelits (#129381) for the sentiment. This and the flower was attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch (#119275) was used on Daffodil Delight card then taped to a piece of Basic Black card (#121688).

Today's tip: Always cut with dies and Framelits first, then emboss, otherwise you will flatten the embossing.

Have a great day,
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Seasonally Scattered

This is the 2nd card in the One Sheet Wonder using piece # 7 cut from Flashback DSP (#133699).

"Merry" is from the beautiful Seasonally Scattered stamp set (#c135023, #135020), heat embossed with Gold Metallic Encore ink (#132141) and Gold embossing powder (#109129). The cardstock is Real Red (#106578), Crushed Curry (#131288) and Very Vanilla (#106550). A Framelit from Apothecary Accents (#127003) cut the sentiment, then this was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The ribbon is Crushed Curry 1/8" Taffeta (#134585).

Today's Tip: Always use an Embossing Buddy (#103083) when heat embossing. Just rub over cardstock before stamping. This prevents extra powder sticking to your project.

Flower Shop and Petite Petals

Hello,

The flowers from The Flower Shop stamp set (#c130942, #130939) stamped with Pacific Point ink (#126951) coordinate nicely with the Petite Petals (#c133155, #w133152). They were stamped with Melon Mambo (#126948).

The base card is Whisper White (#106549), with Melon Mambo (#119980) and Brights Colour Collection DSP (#130134). The DSP is cut with one of the Starburst Framelits (#132967) and placed in the centre of one of the Tea Lace Paper Doilies (#129399). Happy Birthday is from the Tag Talk stamp set (#c134252, #w134249) and punched with the Label Bracket punch (#132153). The punches for the flowers are Pansy (#130698) and Petite Petals (#133322). One Sheet Wonder

Welcome,

If you haven't heard what a One Sheet Wonder is, well it's a piece of paper, usually DSP cut into various shapes and sizes and used to make a variety of cards. I chose a piece from Flashback DSP (#133699) which I will use both sides to give a variety of cards. I will show you the cards over the next few weeks. Today's card shows both sides of the DSP.

Here is the template I used for cutting the 12x12" DSP. You can make your own template to suit you.

I have numbered each piece and I have used #1 and #3 for this card.

Other cardstock is Basic Black (#121688), Real Red (#106578) and Very Vanilla (#106550). The image from Everything Eleanor (#c124164, #w131987) was stamped with Crushed Curry ink (#131173), and Happy Birthday from Sketched Birthday was stamped with Real Red (#126949). The Framelits used are Circles Collection (#130911) and Bitty Banners (#129267). The butterfly is punched with the Elegant Butterfly punch (#127526) using Red Glimmer paper (#121790). Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the large circle, sentiment and butterfly.

Look out for more cards from my One Sheet Wonder over the next few weeks.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

World of Dreams

Hello,

Stampin' Write Markers make it easy to ink stamps with more than one colour ink as I have done on this image from World of Dreams.

The colours I used are Old Olive (#100079), Crumb Cake (#120967) and Daffodil Delight (#119677). Happy Birthday from Bloom with Hope (#c133952, #w133949) was stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969). The cardstock is Wisteria Wonder (#124389), Elegant Eggplant (#108614), Whisper White (#106549) and Regals Colour Collection DSP (#130139). The Framelits used are Circle Collection Framelits (#130911) and Starburst Framelits (#132967). I embossed the base card with the Woodgrain folder (#127821).

It's starting to feel a bit more like Christmas. I finally decorated the tree today and put up the decorations.

Happy Stamping!

Gold embossed Stippled Blossoms

Hi and welcome,

I have finally finished making and writing all my Christmas cards, what a great feeling to have finished with only 2 weeks before the big day. I normally have them finished much earlier than this.
Now onto today's card. Yes, The Stippled Blossoms stamp set (#c126747, #w132076) is my favourite at the moment so here is another card using that set.

For the flowers, I stamped the base of the flower using Coastal Cabana ink (#131175), stamping off on scrap paper then stamping onto Whisper White card (#106549) to give a lighter image. On 2 of the flowers the next layer was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink (#131171). The 3rd flower was stamped with Versamark (#102283) and Gold embossing powder (#109129) and heat set. Happy Birthday from Sassy Salutations (#c126707, #w132070) is stamped to give a shadow effect. I stamped first with Bermuda Bay ink, then with Versamark and gold embossing powder. Using the Stamp-a-ma-jig (#101049) made it very easy to position the image just where I wanted it.
The cardstock is Bermuda Bay (#131286), Whisper White (#106549), Gold Foil sheets (#132622) and DSP from the Brights Colour Collection (#130134). The embossing folder used is Fancy Fan (#127751).

Christmas decoration

Hi again,

I love how easy it is to make this decoration using the Designer Rosette Bigz XL (#125594)

Using one sheet of the Elegant Eggplant from the Regals Colour Collection (#130139), I cut it into 3 pieces at 10cm each before cutting with the die, then joined them together to make the rosette.
I used the Daydream Medallions (#c126467, #131976) to stamp on the Whisper White card (#106549), using Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969) and Wisteria Wonder (#126985). These were then cut with the coordinating Floral Frames Framelits (#127012). The Champagne Glimmer Paper (#127885) was cut with the Circles Colllection Framelits (#130911) and the Stars Framelits (#133723). These were assembled using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's all today,

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

The Open Sea

Hi,

I was making this masculine card using The Open Sea stamp set (#c123032, #w128454) and using DSP. While putting tape onto the back of the Flashback DSP (#133699) I decided to make a second card using the other side of the DSP to get a different look and I thought it would work well with this card.

Both cards use Basic Black card (#121688), Real Red (#106578) and Very Vanilla (#106550). Happy Birthday is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (#c126257, #w132022) and using the Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267). The ink is Memento Tuxedo Black (#132708) with Real Red (#126949) on the first card. Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the sentiment and ship to the cards.

As I said, this card uses the same Flashback DSP. The larger piece is the other side of the DSP as used on the first card, and the smaller piece is also from the same pack. I love how all the Stampin' Up! DSP is double sided to give so much variety to choose from.

Festival of Trees

Hello ladies,

This beautiful Christmas tree is from the Festival of Trees stamp set (#135059).

The tree and sentiment are both heat embossed using Gold Metallic Encore ink (#132141) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129). The sentiment is from the Endless Wishes stamp set (#136829). The cardstock is Cherry Cobbler (#121681) and Whisper White (#106549). I used the Decorative Dot embossing folder to emboss the White card. The ribbon is Cherry Cobbler 1" Sheer Linen.
The Christmas Wishes was cut with one of the Word Bubbles Framelits but I cut the little piece off the side. I attached this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Well that's the end of another weekend.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Stippled Blossoms For You

Hi,

The first time I saw Stampin' Up! Products demonstrated at a craft show, Two Step Stamping was being demonstrated and I was so impressed how easily a beautiful image could be stamped. I had never really used stamps before and now I had seen how you could make beautiful cards using stamps. The Stippled Blossom stamp set (#c126747, #w132076) is a Two Step set and I could resist using it again today.

I stamped on the Whisper White card (#106549), using Wisteria Wonder ink (#126985) for the base of the larger flower and then Elegant Eggplant (#126969) for the overlying image. The small flowers are stamped with Rose Red. However, for these I inked the base stamp with Rose Red (#126954) then "stamped off" twice on scrap paper, before stamping on the card to give a lighter colour. The top layer was also using Rose Red. The leaves are stamped with Pear Pizzaz (#131180). After all the stamping was done I embossed the Whisper White using the Perfect Polka Dots folder (#117335). I also stamped an extra flower and cut it out before attaching on top of the flower in the right hand corner using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). For You is from the Tag Talk stamp set (#c134252, #w134249). The punch is the coordinating Label Bracket (#132152). I also punched Rose Red card twice (#108613), cut it in half and taped it to the punched image and attached it to the card with Dimensionals. The other card stock is Wisteria Wonder (#124389) and Elegant Eggplant (#126969). I added Rose Red Candy dots from the Regals collection (#130932) to the centre of the small flowers.

I hope you like the card.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Stippled Blossoms

Welcome,

The Stippled Blossom stamp set (#c126747, #w132076) has been on my wish list for a very long time. When a customer ordered one from me last week I knew I just had to get it myself, so it has just arrived and couldn't wait to use it.

This set is a Two Step stamping set which means you have a base image then another image for the top which enables you to have 2 colours to make up the image. A tip for doing Two Step Stamping is to use the lighter ink for the base then the darker ink for the overlying image. I used Pink Pirouette (#126956) for the base with Strawberry Slush (#131178). The leaves were stamped with Pistachio Pudding (#131177). The cardstock is Strawberry Slush (#131300) and Whisper White (#106549). I used the Perfect Polka Dots (#117335) embossing folder. Happy Birthday is from the Bloom With Hope stamp set (#c133952, #w133949) and the punch is Modern Label (#119849). I added some Dazzling Details (#124117) to the stamens of the flower but these haven't shown up well on the photo.
I'm looking forward to using this stamp set on many more cards.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Traveler birthday

Hello again,

Today's card is based on a design I did last week for a female birthday card, so made a masculine one today.

The cardstock is Crushed Curry (#131288), Island Indigo (#124390), Whisper White (#106549) with Back To Black DSP (#133700). I heat embossed the boat from Traveler stamp set (#c134513,#w134510) using Versamark (#102283) and Black embossing powder (#109133). Happy Birthday from Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (#c126257, #w132022) is stamped with Island Indigo ink (#126986) and cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267). The Island Indigo card was cut with one of the Project Life Cards and Labels Framelits (#135707). The ribbon is Crushed Curry 1/8" Taffeta (#134585). The base card was embossed with the Chevron folder (#127749).

Mixed Bunch

Hi,

I consulted the Colour Coach (#130118) again for the colour combinations for this card. I find this such a valuable tool to help select colours which look great together.

The card colours are Tangelo Twist (#133684), Garden Green (#108605), So Saffron (#108611) and Whisper White (#106549). The DSP is also So Saffron from the Subtles Colour Collection (#130135). The stamp sets are Mixed Bunch (#c125537, #w128442), Kinda Eclectic (#c135350, #w135347) and Sassy Salutations (#c126707, #w132070). Thinking of you was stamped with Garden Green Ink (#126973), the leaves with Wild Wasabi (#126959) and the flower with Tangelo Twist (#133646). The flowers were punched with the Blossom Punch (#125603) and a Rhinestone Basic Jewel (#119246) was added to the centre of the flower. The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch (#119275) was used for the "ribbon". The flower was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Thanks for visiting,
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
