Corner Garden

Hi again Ladies,

This card uses a bit more than Whisper White (#106549) - I did use Vellum (#106584) and I also added a pink insert inside which gives the colour through the vellum. So I couldn't say this is just White card and stamping - but almost.

I stamped on the Vellum using the Corner Garden stamp (#c134048, #w134045) with VeraMark (#102283) and Silver Embossing powder (#109131) which is then heat set. The circle is cut with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911), then placed the vellum inside the card. Happy Birthday is from the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set (#c139171, #w139958).  This is one of the Hostess sets. I also silver embossed this.

Have a great day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Vintage Leaves

Hello,

This is the next card again using just Whisper White card (#106549) and stamping.

The leaves are from the Vintage Leaves stamp set (#p138802). I used the masking technique as well as the rock and roll method. For the rock and roll method, ink your stamp with the lighter ink, then roll the outside of the stamp in the next ink. I used a 3rd ink, so I actually inked one side of the stamp with the 2nd ink then the other side with the 3rd ink. (Hope this isn't too confusing). The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set (#c139958, #w139171) and the dragonfly is from Awesomely Artistic set (#c139950, #w138694). The inks used for the leaves are So Saffron (#126957), Wild Wasabi (#126959) and Crumb Cake (#126975). The dragon fly was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing Powder (#109129) and heat embossed. The dragon fly was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Birthday Blossoms

Hello,

Over the next few days I am challenging myself to make cards using Whisper White card (#106549) and stamps. I usually use lots of accessories but I wanted to show that you can still make some lovely cards with only a small number of products.

The stamp set is Birthday Blossoms (#c139471, #w139167). I used Pink Pirouette ink (#126956), Rich Razzleberry (#126950) and Pear Pizzaz (#131180). I used the Pansy Punch (#130698) to punch the flowers and these were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) are added to the centre of the flowers.
I'll be back tomorrow with another card using the basics.

That's all for today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Butterflies

Hello again,

The Fluttering embossing folder (#139304) is square so I often make a square card when using this folder.

I used the Whisper White A4 Thick Cardstock for the base (#140490) and the normal Whisper White (#106549) for the rest of the card. I also used the Night Of Navy card (#106577). The inks used are Night Of Navy (#126970) and Daffodil Delight (#126944). The butterfly is cut from Silver Glimmer Paper (#135314) using the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360) and as usual attached this to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The circles were cut with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911) and the sentiment with a Framelit from the Project Life Card & Labels (#135707). The sentiment is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) and I used Silver 5/8" Satin Ribbon (#134548).

Have a great weekend.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Boys Will Be Boys

Hi,

One of our Grandsons turns 7 soon so I made this card for him. Both he and his brother love Lego so this card is just right for him.

The card is Crushed Curry (#131288), Pacific Point (#116202), and Whisper White (#106549). The inks are Crushed Curry (#131173), Pacific Point (#126951), Cucumber Crush (#138324) and Real Red (#126949). To stamp the Lego blocks from the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set (#c134138, #134135) I used the Masking Technique. To do this technique, stamp the first image on the card. Then stamp again onto a piece of note paper (Post-it notes works well). Cut around the image on the note paper, cutting just inside the line. This becomes your mask. I made 2 masks so I could mask 2 images at the same time. Place the mask on the image on the card. Stamp another image over a portion of the mask to create a layered image. Remove the  mask and continue covering the images on the card as you stamp. I then stamped another 3 images on spare card and cut them and placed them on top of the stamped images with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Happy Birthday was cut with one of the Framelits from the Project Life Cards & Labels (#135707).

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Timeless Elegance Scrapbook page

Welcome Ladies,

Here is an elegant scrapbook page using the DSP from Timeless Elegance (#138444). You don't have to do too much when the DSP is so beautiful.

The Cardstock used is Cherry Cobbler (#121681), Basic Black (#121688) and Very Vanilla (#106550). The butterflies are cut with the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360) and I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) to the centre of the butterfly. The labels were cut with Lots Of Labels Framelits (#138281). The bells are from the retired Embellished Events stamp set and these were heat embossed with VersaMark (#102283) and Silver embossing powder (#109131). The ribbon is Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Trim (#137866). The letters and numbers are cut with an electronic cutter using Cherry Cobbler card.

Watercolour Wings

Hello Ladies,

I was so pleased with this finished card - very simple but beautiful. I think so anyway.

The card base is Whisper White (#106549). I trimmed 1.5cm from the right front of the card, then inside added a strip of Gold Foil Designer Vellum (#133363). I also added a small strip of Real Red card (#106578) to inside the front so just a small strip of red shows. I stamped the flourish from Everything Eleanor stamp set (#c124164, #w131987) with Real Red ink (#126949) as well as the sentiment from Tag Talk (#c134252, #w134249). The tag was punched with the Label Bracket (#132153). I also punched a piece of Gold Foil (#132622) with the label bracket punch. To add this to the tag, I cut the gold piece in half, then taped it to the tag. The butterfly from the Watercolour Wings stamp set (#p139424) has been stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129) and heat set. The butterfly was cut with the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360). Before attaching the butterfly to the card I attached some of the Gold Metallic Thread (#138401), then put the butterfly on top using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Flower Shop

Welcome everyone,

I have heat embossed the flowers from Flower Shop stamp set (#c130942, #w130939) using VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder (#109131).

The co-ordinating punch for these flowers is the Pansy punch (#130698). The cardstock used is Marina Mist (#121682), Whisper White (#106549) and Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum (#133364). The sentiment from Watercolour Wings stamp set (#p139424) uses Marina Mist ink (#126962) and cut with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911). I have used the 5/8"Satin Ribbon (#134548). The base card is embossed with the Fluttering Embossing folder (#139304).

That's all today.

World Of Dreams

Hello,

About 10 days ago I mentioned about the birds that had hatched just outside the kitchen window. I can't believe how quickly they have grown and yesterday was their first day out of the nest and the parents are now very protective as they venture out. These birds inspired me to make this card with the World of Dreams stamp set (#c134186, #w134183).

I used Soft Suede (#119982), Very Vanilla (#106550) and Mint Macaron card (#138326). The birds and woodgrain were stamped with Sahara Sand ink (#126976). The edges were sponged with Soft Suede ink (#126978). The woodgrain is the Hardwood background stamp (#c133035, #w133032). The leaves from Vintage Leaves (#p138802) were stamped with Mint Macaron (#138326) on Mint Macaron card (#138344). The edges of the leaves were also sponged with Sahara Sand ink after being cut with the Leaflets Framelits (#138283). The piece of Soft Suede card that was cut from the front of the card was used as the horizontal piece. Happy Birthday is from the Circle of Spring stamp set (#p138964).

Have a great week.

Till next time,
Happy stamping!

Kinda Eclectic

Hello,

As I went to tape the DSP onto this card, I couldn't decide which side of the DSP I liked best so then had to make 2. Which do you prefer? I'm still undecided. Makes it hard when both sides of the DSP are nice.

I used Very Vanilla (#106550) with Watermelon Wonder card (#138341) and the DSP is Timeless Elegance (#138444). The stamp sets used are Kinda Eclectic (#c135350, #w135347), World of Dreams (#c134186, #w134183) and Petite Petals (#c133155, #w133152). The leaves were stamped with Sahara Sand ink (#126976) using the stamping off method. Watermelon Wonder ink (#138323) was used for the butterfly, flowers and sentiment. I stamped the butterfly onto Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (#121790), before punching with the Elegant Butterfly punch (#127526). The flowers were punched with the Petite Petals punch (#133322). I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the flowers and Butterfly and both were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's all today,

The Cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Real Red (#106578). The flowers and sentiment from Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #139167) are stamped with Real Red ink (#126949). The Pansy punch (#130698) is used for the flowers and the Ovals Collection Framelits was used to   cut the sentiment. I added White Perfect Accents (#138416) to the flowers. As I usually do, I attached the sentiment and one of the flowers with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Butterflies Thinlits

 Hi and Welcome,

What would we do without Framelits? I use them on most cards - so easy to use and there is such a large variety which can be used separately or together.

The Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135) co-ordinate with the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360) to make this butterfly. One cuts a solid butterfly, the other cuts the intricate design. The other Framelits are the Circle Collection (#130911) and Deco Labels Collection (#130102). I stamped the starburst from Kinda Eclectic stamp set (#c135350, #w135347) with Daffodil Delight ink (#126944). Happy Birthday is from Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706) and I used Pacific Point ink (#126951). The bow is made using the Bow Builder punch (#137414). Metal Rimmed Pearls (#138394) have been added to the bow and butterfly. I embossed the Whisper White card (#106549) for the background with the Brick Wall embossing folder (#138288). The blue card is Pacific Point (#116202) and Basic Black (#121688) was used for the top butterfly.

I have just received some of the new products from the new holiday catalogue which will be out on 1st September. There are so many fantastic products for Christmas, and I am now busy designing cards etc for an upcoming Christmas workshop. I can't believe I am already talking about Christmas! It's very exciting playing with new products and I look forward to sharing these with you in the near future.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping,
Lesley.

The map is stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) and the sentiment with Real Red ink (#126949). Happy Birthday from The Guy Greetings stamp set (#c138828, #w138825, #p137178) is punched with the Washi Label punch (#138296). The banner was punched with  the Banner Triple punch (#138292).

Everything Eleanor

Hello and welcome,

I have used the stamping off method when stamping these flowers from Everything Eleanor stamp set (#c124164, #w131987) to give a lighter image.

The cardstock I have used is Whisper White (#106549), Mint Macaron (#138344) and Tangelo Twist (#133684). The scalloped edges are cut with the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410). This is used with the Stampin' Trimmer Rotary addition (#132986) which is attached to the Stampin' Trimmer (#129722). The inks used are Mint Macaron (#138326) and Tangelo Twist (#133646). Happy Birthday is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set (#c126707, #w132070). The lace is Mint Macaron 1" Dotted Lace Trim (#138424). The flowers were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) and I added a bit of sparkle to the flowers with the Gold Glitz Dazzling Details (#133755).

Today's tip: When using the Rotary blade you must turn your cutting mat to the smooth side (you use the normal trimmer with the grove in the mat). The mat has 2 smooth sides and 2 sides with the groove.

Have a great day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Hello,

All the images on this card are from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) except for the splotch under the sentiment which is from the Work of Art stamp set (#c134114, #w134111).

Perfect Plum card (#108615) have been used for the base card and flowers. These flowers were stamped with Perfect Plum ink (#126963) and punched with the Pansy punch (#130698). The small flowers were stamped with Wisteria Wonder ink (#126985) onto Whisper White card (#106549). For the leaves I have used Wild Wasabi ink (#126959). These were hand cut. The edge of the Whisper White card was cut with the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410). Metal Rimmed Pearls (#138394) were added to the flowers and card. The flowers were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Bohemian DSP Butterfly

Welcome,

I have had 3 grandchildren for the weekend (ages 3, 5 and 7) and they all love to do craft so we have had a great time making cards etc. I have also managed to get some done for myself so here is today's card.

The DSP is from the Bohemian DSP (#138446), which I cut the solid butterfly from using the Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135). Then with White Vellum (#106584) I cut the butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360). I used Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) for the centre of the Butterfly and the butterfly was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The base card is Island Indigo (#124390), and the other cardstock is Very Vanilla (#106550) and Crushed Curry (#131288). The embossing folder I used on the Very Vanilla card is Elegant Dots (#138287) - yes my favourite at the moment. The circles are cut with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911). Happy birthday comes from the Birthady Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167). This was stamped with Island Indigo ink (#126986) and the Framelit to cut this was one from the Project Life Cards and Labels (#135707). You might notice I cut the left end off straight instead of having points at both ends.

I hope you have had a great weekend as I have.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Butterfly Basics vintage card

Hi again Ladies,

I love cards with the vintage look but don't make them very often so thought I would make one today.

The cardstock is Very Vanilla (#106550), Cherry Cobbler (#121681) and Typeset Specialty DSP (#133704). I stamped the flower image from Butterfly Basics (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154) onto the DSP using Mossy Meadow ink (#133645). I then stamped again with Cherry cobbler ink onto some Very vanilla card and cut the flowers out then attached them to the card. The larger flower was attached with a Stampin' Dimensional (#104430). Just for You is from the Work of Art stamp set (#c134114, #w134111) and I punched it with the Label Bracket (#132153). The edges of this and the DSP were sponged with Soft Suede ink (#126978). The ribbon is Sahara Sand 7/8" Lace Ribbon (#137866). The butterfly is from the Papillion Potpourri stamp set (#c123759, #w132058) and punched with the co-ordinating Bitty Butterfly (#129406).

That's all for today.

World of Dreams

Welcome,

Over the last month or so we have been watching a bird nest being built just outside our kitchen window. The chicks have now hatched. This image from the World of Dreams (#134186, #134183) reminds me of what I see each time I look out the window.

The inks used are Sahara Sand (#126976), Island Indigo (#126986), Crushed Curry (#131173), and Tip Top Taupe (#138325) was used for the leaves on the DSP. I cut the Bohemian DSP (#138446) and the birds with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits (#130102). Happy Birthday is from the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set (#c134138, #134135) and punched with the Washi Tape punch (#138296). The other images are from the Awesomely Artistic stamp set (#c139950, #138694). The circle was cut with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911). The DSP and Sentiment were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Birthday Blossoms

Hello again,

Here is one of the cards we made in this week's card class. Did you know you can stamp on the Glimmer paper? I stamped the flower on Glimmer paper. I find the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper works best due to the lighter colour.

The choice of colours were Pacific Point (#116202), Crushed Curry (#131288) and Melon Mambo (#119980) card. I heat embossed with VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Stampin' Emboss powder (#109131) on Whisper White card (#106549) with the flowers from Awesomely Artistic stamp set (#c139950, #w138694). The DSP is from Everyday Chic (#138445) and the ribbon is Silver 1/8" Ribbon (#132137). Happy Birthday from Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) is stamped with Pacific Point (#126951), Crushed Curry (#131173) or Melon Mambo ink (#126948), then this was cut with a Framelit from the Project Life cards and Labels Framelits (#135707). I stamped on the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (#135315) with the flower from Birthday Blossoms stamp set, then punched this with the Pansy Punch (#130698). I then sponged the edges of the flower. I punched another little flower from a retired punch for the centre and added a 1/8" Mini brad (#122941). This flower was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430), as was the sentiment.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Watercolour Wings

Welcome everyone,

One of the great advantages of the photopolymer stamps is the ease of 2 step stamping. The butterflies from the Watercolour Wings stamp set (#p139424) is a good example.

I stamped the butterfly with Pink Pirouette ink (#126956) and Rose Red (#126954).  The butterfly was cut with a Framelit from the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360). The Cardstock I have used is Whisper White (#106549) and Rose Red (#108613). I stamped on the Whisper White with the Watercolour Wash background stamp (#c139538, #w138704) using Pink Pirouette ink. I embossed the smaller white card with the Elegant Dots folder (#138287). Happy Birthday from Guy Greetings stamp set (#c138828, #w138825, #p137178) is stamped with Rose Red ink and punched with the Washi Tape punch (#138296). As usual I added the butterfly with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) as well as the Smaller Rose Red card.

That's all for another day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Gold Embossed Vintage Leaves

Hello,

After doing the rock and roll method on the leaves yesterday, I decided to do it with gold embossing today. The leaves are from the Vintage Leaves stamp set (#p138802).

On these leaves I used Daffodil Delight ink (#126944) and VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder (#109129). To avoid transferring the ink colour to the VeraMark, I firstly rolled the stamp onto the VersaMark pad, then stamped on the Daffodil Delight pad. This is opposite to how I would normally do this. I then added the powder to the image and heat set it. The leaves were then cut with the Leaflets Framelits (#138283). The Cardstock is Whisper White (#106549), Basic Black (#121688) and DSP from the Brights DSP Stack (#138437). I used the Gold 5/8" Satin Ribbon and attached the sentiment on top of this from the Tag Talk stamp set (#c134252, #w134249). This was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) and punched with the Label Bracket punch (#132153).

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Vintage Leaves

Hello Ladies,

I used the rock and roll method when I stamped the leaves from the Vintage Leaves stamp set (#p138802) and I love the finished results.

To do the rock and roll method, ink your stamp as usual.  I used Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180). Then with another ink - I used Pumpkin Pie (#126945) - roll the edge of the stamp on the ink pad so this ink is around the edges of the stamp. Stamp onto the card for this beautiful effect.  The leaves were cut with the Leaflets Framelits (#138283). The flower is from Crazy About You stamp set (#c138859, #w138856, #p137137) and stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink. This has a matching punch - the Flower Medallion (#137417) which I used.  I added some Pumpkin Pie Candy Dots from the Brights collection to the flower (#130931). The DSP is from the Everyday Chic (#138445). Happy Birthday from Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set (#c139958, #w139171) has been heat embossed with VersaMark (#102283) and Black Stampin' Emboss powder (#109133). The card stock is Whisper White (#106549). I used a Stampin' Dimensional (#104430) to attach the flower to the card, then was able to arrange the leaves around the flower and these were taped in place.

Today's tips:
1. When doing the rock and roll technique, always use the lightest colour first to avoid getting the darker ink on your light coloured ink pad. Also when doing multiple images, clean your stamp after stamping each image to avoid transferring colour to the ink pads.

2. Another tip for today is when stamping a solid image like the flower and using the photopolymer stamps, try stamping with a piercing mat under the piece of card. This sometimes gives a better finish if you aren't getting a nicely stamped image.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
