Shimmery White Embossing Paste

Hello,

I wasn’t going to show any of the new products from the Occasions catalogue yet but I haven’t had a chance today to make any cards so here is one I made yesterday with some new products. The background uses the new Shimmery White Embossing Paste (#145645) with the new Sweet Soirée Decorative mask (#145643).

It is so easy to make a textured background by applying the paste with a Palette Knife (#142808) and with the glitter already in this paste, you have a beautiful background in no time. It doesn’t take long for the paste to dry, so make sure you clean the mask and knife as quickly as possible by rinsing under water. The base card is Daffodil Delight (#121680) and Whisper White (#106549) was used for the card front. I stamped the flower from Birthday Blooms stamp set (#c140658, #w140655) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708), then I coloured this with Stampin’ Blends - Daffodil Delight Combo pack (#144603), Old Olive Combo Pack (#144597) and Cherry Cobbler Light (#144576). I then fussy cut the image and attached it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The ribbon across the bottom of the card is 1/8” Gold Ribbon (#134583). I used Daffodil Delight ink (#126944) to stamp Best wishes from the Cake Soirée stamp set (#c145745, #w145521). (This is another exciting stamp set). This was punched with the Classic Label Punch (#141491) and attached to a piece of slightly larger Daffodil Delight card. I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) to attach the greeting to the card.

The Stampin’ Blends can be bought separately or in a combo pack for each colour. There are 12 Stampin’ Up! colours in light and dark as well as Ivory, Bronze and a colour Lifter.

Have a great day.

Happy Birthday Thinlits

Hi & Welcome,

The last 2 days I have had the opportunity to “play” with some of the new products which will be available from the 3rd January from the new Occasions  catalogue and the Sale-a-bration catalogue. There are so many exciting products which I am looking forward to showing you next week. In the meantime here is a masculine card using products from the annual catalogue.

The base card is Early Espresso (#121686) and the cardfront is from the Petal Garden Designer Series Paper Stack (#144168). The trees are from the Lovely As A Tree stamp set (#c127793, #w128655) and I stamped these with VersaMark (#102283) and Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#141636). Of course this has to be heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The Happy Birthday Thinlits (#143700) were used to cut the greeting. I adhered some Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet (#144106) to the back of a piece of the Copper Foil Sheet (#142020) before cutting with the thinlits. This makes it so easy to attach this to the card. A piece of the 1/4” Copper Trim (#144179) was attached to the card using Mini Glue Dots (#103683).
Now it’s time to have a big clean up of my table before I can make any more cards.

Flourish Thinlits

Hi again,

Today’s card is a variation on the card I made yesterday as I was so pleased how that card looked. Again I stamped on Designer Series Paper but this one is from the Color Theory DSP (#144193). This is also a 6”x6” paper stack and has 4 each of 12 double sided designs so gives you lots of variety.

The base card is Real Red (#106578). Again I used the leaves from the wreath  from the Hello Friend stamp set (#c144059, #w144055) around the edges of the DSP. These were stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109129), and heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The image in the bottom left is from Graceful Garden Stamp set (#c143849, #w143846), and also embossed in gold. Happy Birthday is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) and stamped with Real Red ink (#126949) on Whisper White card (#106549). The die to cut this is from the Bunch Of Banners Framelits (#141488) and then attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The flower and leaves were cut using the Flourish Thinlits (#141478). I used the Red Glimmer Paper (#121790) for the flower and Old Olive card (#106576) for the leaves. The leaves were glued with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309) and a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional (#144108) for the flower. A Glitter Enamel Dot (#144200) was added to the centre of the flower.

Have a great day.

Hello Friend

Hi friends,

Today I decided to use a stamp set that I haven’t used very much, and I don’t know why as it has some beautiful images in it. It is the Hello Friend stamp set (#c144059, #w144055). It is a set that co-ordinates with the Hello Friend Heat Embossing Project kit (#146013), but it is also great to use separately as I have done with this card.

The card front is one of the papers from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack (#144177). This paper is 6”x6” and there are 4 each of 12 double sided designs and are ideal for masculine cards but this card could be used for anyone. I stamped all the images from the Hello Friend stamp set using VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109129), which was then heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The leaf images are part of the wreath. I didn’t want the whole wreath, so just stamped the edges of the paper and I liked the result. The dragonfly is cut with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits (#142749) from the Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719), then attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White card (#106549) and punched with the 1-1/4” Circle punch (#119861). This was attached over the Fresh Fig Finely Woven Ribbon (#144132). The edges of the cardfront were sponged with Fresh Fig ink (#144082), and then attached to the Fresh Fig base card (#144248). I love it when an idea comes together so nicely and looks great.

Have a great day.

Best Birds

Hello,

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas as I did. After a couple of days out of the craft room I was eager to get back to “playing” again today. I know a lot of people don’t like fussy cutting, but here I have cut out the leaves from the beautiful Year Of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (#144640). We are all a bit spoiled with all the punches and framelits that make it so easy to cut out so many images - like the bird.

The bird from Best Birds stamp set (#p141525) was stamped with Dapper Denim ink (#141394), then cut with the co-ordinating Birds & Blooms Thinlits (#141477). Happy Birthday and the flowers are from the Birthday Blooms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167). Peekaboo Peach ink (#141398) was used for the flowers and Dapper Denim for the Greeting. The base card is Peekaboo Peach (#141422), then I used a piece of Copper Foil Sheet (#142020), then the card front is Whisper White (#106549). I attached the leaves with Mini Glue Dots (#103683) and the bird with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). I attached the Iridescent Sequins (#144212) using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309). Not sure how well you can see it, but I added some glitter with the Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897) to the wings of the bird.

Enjoy your day.

Butterfly Basics

Hi everyone,

Well, its only 2 more sleeps till the man in the red suit arrives, so I hope you are all organised. I have put away all my Christmas stamps for another year. This card with “sending wishes your way” can be used for a variety of occasions.

I embossed the Whisper White base card (#106549) with the Layering Leaves 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#143704). All the stamped images are from the Butterfly Basics stamp set (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154) and the inks used are Wild Wasabi (#126959), Daffodil Delight (#126944) and Sahara Sand (#126976). Daffodil Delight card (#121680) was used to mat the cardfront and for the solid butterfly. The butterflies were cut with the Butterfly Thinlits (#137360) and Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135). I used Champagne Foil Sheet (#144748) for the detailed butterfly. The greeting was cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits (#141706). The edges were sponged with Daffodil Delight ink (#126944). The greeting and butterfly was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and I added Glitter Enamel Dots (#144200) to the butterfly and flower.

I wish you all a very happy Christmas.

Lovely As A Tree Christmas card

Hello friends,

I was asked to make a Christmas card for a male with an old car on it. I found it hard to make it very Christmassy but this what I have made with the limited time I had.

I stamped the trees from Lovely As A Tree stamp set (#c127793, #w128655) using Garden Green ink (#126973) and Soft Suede ink (#126978). The car from Guy Greetings stamp set (#c138828, #w138825, #p137178) was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink (#126966), then fussy cut and attached to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). Merry Christmas can be found in the Star Of Light stamp set (#p142110), and also stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink. The cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Cherry Cobbler (#121681). The gold and silver tape on the left side is from the Year Of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape (#144644).

That’s all for today.

Country Livin’ with Stampin’ Blends

Hello & Welcome,

Stampin’ Blends are dual tip alcohol markers in 12 exclusive Stampin’ Up! colours, each with light and dark shades. These markers make it so easy to blend colours and create lovely works of art. I have used these to colour the truck.

The base card is Soft Suede (#119982). I embossed the Wild Wasabi card (#111850) with the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#141481) and the tape is from the Pick A Pattern Washi Tape (#144166). I stamped the old truck from Country Livin’ stamp set (#c141925, #w141922) on Whisper White card (#106549). This was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The Stampin’ Blends used are Crumb Cake light (#144585) and dark (#144601), Smokey Slate light (#145054) and dark (#145055), Old Olive light (#144574) and dark (#144573), Daffodil Delight light (#144586) and Bronze (#144607). Happy Birthday from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) was also stamped with Tuxedo Black ink. I used the Lots Of Labels Framelits (#138281) to cut the Whisper White card and the edges were sponged with Soft Suede ink (#126978). This was attached it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Have a great day.

Embossing Paste

Hello everyone,

The background for this card is a combination of a stamped image and embossing paste.

I stamped the images in the corners, from the Graceful Garden stamp set (#c143849, #w143846) using Sahara Sand ink (#126976). Then I spread the Embossing Paste (#141979) using a Palette Knife (#142808) and one of the Pattern Party Decorative Masks (#144103). Then I added some of the Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter (#133751) over the top of the paste which gives a lovely sparkle. I had some retired Black Glimmer Paper which I used for the dragonfly which was cut using the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits (#142749). Alternatively you can use Basic Black card and add some glitter with the Clear Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897). The dragonfly was attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). Happy Birthday is from the Rose Wonder stamp set (#p140697) and I have used Peekaboo Peach ink (#141398). The ovals were cut with the Layering Ovals Framelits (#141706) and Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attached this to the card. The cardstock is Peekaboo Peach (#141422), Basic Black (#121688) and Whisper White (#106549).

That’s all for today.

Sympathy card

Hello,

A beautifully elegant card for a sympathy card or it would also be suitable for any special occasion.

The white card is Shimmery White (#121717). I always like to use this card for special occasions as it has that subtle shimmer which looks so nice. I used the Champagne Foil Sheet (#144748) between the 2 pieces of white card. I stamped the flourish from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set (#c141534, #w141531) with Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180). The sentiment and flowers were stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109131), then heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The card front was embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#139672). I added the Silver 1/8” Ribbon (#132137) to the bottom of the card. The bow was attached with a Mini Glue Dot (#103683). The flowers are from the Flower Shop stamp set (#c130942, #w130939) and punched out with the co-ordinating Pansy Punch (#130698). These were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The card was finished by adding the Clear Faceted Gems (#144142) to the flower centres.

Have a great week. Hope it’s not too busy leading up to Christmas.

Lots Of Labels Framelits

Hi everyone,

As a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I often want to give more than just a business card to a potential customer so today I made these little bookmarks for that purpose.

I cut the Very Vanilla card with the second largest of the Lots Of Labels Framelits (#138281) before stamping a variety of images on the card with a variety of inks. Then I sponged around the edges of the bookmarks. I also attached my information on the back of the card. As I wanted to make these a bit more substantial I then laminated them, then cut each with the largest of the Lots Of Labels Framelits. A hole was punched in the top of the bookmarks then I added a Gold 1/8” ribbon (#134583) to each of the bookmarks. I thought this was an easy way to show some simple stamping as well as including all my information.

I hope you are having a great weekend.

May Flower Framelits

Hello ladies and Guys,

I can’t believe how busy I have been since returning from holidays a couple of weeks ago, so I apologise for not having a chance to get my blog organised everyday. I like to try to do it daily but life just gets a bit hectic sometimes. Hopefully I will get more organised in the new year. Now for todays card.

The stamp set for the flourish and flowers is Falling Flowers (#c139556, #w139553). To stamp the flourish, I attached the small square of Whisper White (#106549) to the Whisper White card front with a post it note to keep it in place. Then I stamped the flourish with Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180) so it stamped on both pieces of card. Remove the post it note and attach the small white card to a piece of Wisteria Wonder card (#124389) which has been cut with one of the dies from the Layering Square Framelits (#141708). This was then attached to the card front, lining up the image. The flowers were stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969) and Crushed Curry (#131173). Happy Birthday from the Big On Birthdays stamp set (#p142877) and also stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink. The base card is Wisteria Wonder. I finished the card with some Glitter Enamel Dots (#144200). These dots come in 4 different colours - Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, Berry Burst and Old Olive. There are 160 sparkly adhesive backed dots with Ombré shades for multiple hues. Beautiful! The  elegant eggplant flower was attached to the card with a Stampin’ Dimensional (#104430).

Have a great day.

The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550) and Fresh Fig card (#144248) is used between the base card and card front, as well as the butterfly. The butterfly was cut with the Move Me Thinlits (#143732) and attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).  The ribbon is Fresh Fig Finely Woven Ribbon (#144132). The sentiment for the first card is from the Butterfly Basics stamp set (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154) and the Happy Birthday is from Rose Wonder stamp set (#p140697). These were stamped wth Fresh Fig ink (#144082) and the Pretty Label punch (#143715) was used to punch the sentiments.

Coffee Break Designer Series Paper

Hello,

Time for a male card. For this I have used the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper (#144155).

The base card is Soft Sky (#131292). Happy Birthday is cut from Early Espresso card (#121686) using the Happy Birthday Thinlits (#143700). Before cutting this I adhered a piece of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets (#144106) to the back of the card. This makes it so easy to the attach the Happy Birthday to the card - no fiddly gluing on intricate pieces. I stamped the tree with the Lovely As A Tree stamp set (#c127793, #w128655) using Early Espresso ink (#126974) on Whisper White card (#106549), then I cut this with a die from the Layering Circles Framelits. The scalloped circle was also cut with the same set of framelits and this was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The ribbon is Burlap Ribbon (#141487).

Have a great day.

Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone,

This Gift Card holder is ideal for Christmas when you are giving that special person a gift card.

I used the Year Of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper (#144640), and inside I stamped on Whisper White card (#106549). I cut the DSP 10.5cm x 25cm. This was scored at 5cm, 12.5, 15 and 17.5cm. Fold as shown below.

Now tape the bottom of the mountain fold together and punch along the fold with the Classic Label punch (#141491) as shown. You will need to punch twice, leaving a small piece on each side. This is where the gift card will be held.

Inside, I stamped with Real Red Ink (#126949) and Garden Green (#126973), using stamps from Deck The Halls stamp set (#c144804, #w144801) for the baubles and leaves, and Christmas Quilt (#p144793) for the sentiment. I added some of the Year Of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape (#144644) below the punched area. For the belly band I used Silver Foil Sheet (#132178). The Garden Green card was punched with the Pretty label punch (#143715) and the Real Red card was punched with the 1-3/8”Circle Punch (#119860). Merry Christmas is from the Star Of Light stamp set (#p142110) and stamped with Real Red ink. I used a die from the Bunch Of Banners Framelits (#141488) to cut this, then attached this with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Have a great weekend.

Happy Birthday Thinlits

Hi and welcome again,

I like to cut this Happy Birthday Thinlit (#143700) in 2 different colours and offset them slightly to give a shadow effect.

I cut these from the Champagne Foil Sheets (#144748) and Basic Black card (#121688). I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets (#144106) on the back of these before cutting with the thinlits. The base card and card front are Peekaboo Peach (#141422) and Basic Black was also used between the 2 pieces of Peekaboo Peach. I stamped on the cardfront using the Marbled background stamp (#c144772, #w143755). I stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and sprinkled with a mixture of Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109130) and Dazzling Diamonds Stampin’ Glitter (#133751) which was then heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). This gives a nice glitter to the background. The cupcake was stamped using the Sweet Cupcake stamp set (#p141498) and cut with the co-ordinating Cupcake Cutouts Framelits (#141474). For the base of the cupcake I used Crumb Cake ink (#126975), Soft Suede (#126978) and Early Espresso  (#126974). For the top of the cupcake I used Peekaboo Peach ink (#141398), both full strength and the stampin off method to get a lighter colour. I stamped on Very Vanilla card (#106550) for the cupcake. The top was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430), then I glued the Iredescent Sequins (#144212) using the Fine-Tip glue Pen (#138309).

Have a great day.

Timeless Textures

Hi and welcome friends,

The Timeless Textures stamp set (#c140517, #w140514) is one of my favourites and you can make beautiful backgrounds using a variety of the images.

Up and Away Thinlits

Hello again,

Here’s a quick and easy card using thinlits and an embossing folder.

The base card is Whisper White (#106549). The other cardstock is Real Red (#106578), Basic Black (#121688) and Silver Foil Sheet (#132178). I embossed the Silver Foil using the Quilt Top Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (#144687). The sentiment is from the Lift Me Up stamp set (#c142896, #w142893) and was stamped with Real Red Ink (#126949). I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets (#144106) on the Basic Black card before cutting it with the Up And Away Thinlits (#142748). This adhesive makes it very easy to adhere these detailed shapes to the card. I also added some glitter to the balloon using the Clear Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897).

That’s all for today. I’ll be back soon.

Timeless Textures

Hello again,

Firstly, just letting you know that over the next month I won’t have a chance to do a blog every day. Hopefully it will be twice a week but I will be back with regular posts in December.
For this card I have used the beautiful Timeless Textures stamp set (#c140517, #w140514) for the background.

The images around the border have been stamped with Crumb Cake ink (#126975) and Soft Suede (#126978). I stamped the “leaf” image with VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109129) which was heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). Happiest of Birthdays to You is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set (#c140658, #w140655) and stamped with Bermuda Bay ink (#131171). For the base card and bird I used Bermuda Bay card (#131286) and the card front is Very Vanilla (#106550). The bird is cut with the Birds & Blooms Thinlits (#141477), then the bird was attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

Have a great day.
