Sketched Birthday

Welcome Ladies,

The DSP on this card is from the Best Year Ever ( #138633) which is one of the many free products available from Sale-a-bration.

The Cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Calypso Coral (#124392). The inks I used are Calypso Coral (#126983), Crushed Curry (#131173) and Coastal Cabana (#131175) which are colours in the DSP. The bow is made from the ribbon which is part of the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (#138634) also from Sale-a-bration. I attached this bow using Glue Dots (#103683). The Framelits I used are Banners (#132173), Bitty Banners (#129267) and Project Life Cards and Labels (#135707). The balloons and sentiment are from the Sketched Birthday stamp set (#c130426, #w130423). Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) were added to the balloons. The large banners and sentiment were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Have a great weekend.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Everything Eleanor

Hello,

It's very exciting when a new catalogue arrives with so many great new products, but it's always nice to go back to some "old" favourites which I have done for this card.

I used Rich Razzleberry (#119981) for the base card and Whisper White (#106549) for the background, flowers and sentiment. Everything Eleanor stamp set (#c124164, #w131987) and Big Day stamp set (#c139112, #w139109) have been used. The inks are Rich Razzleberry (#126950), Pink Pirouette (#126956) and Pistachio Pudding (#131177). Both the flowers and the tag for the sentiment were cut by hand. The Spiral Border Punch (#119872) was used on the edge of the Whisper White card. I also embossed this card with the Perfect Polka Dotts folder (#117335). The Rich Razzleberry Candy Dots are from the Brights Collection (#130931). Dazzling Details (#124117) have also been used on the stamens of the flowers. The flowers and sentiment were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Kinda Eclectic

Hi and Welcome,

I was really pleased with this finished card - not my normal style - using only Very Vanilla Cardstock (#106550). Hope you like it too.

The stamp sets used are Kinda Eclectic (#c135350, #135347), Beautiful Bunch (#c134282, #134279) and Bloom With Hope (#c133952, #w133949). The inks are Crumb Cake (#126975), Soft Suede (#126978), Garden Green (#126973) and Melon Mambo (#126948). The punches I used are Modern Label (#119849), Fun Flower (#133785), Elegant Butterfly (#127526) and Bitty Butterfly (#129406). I also used the Labels Collection Framelits (#125598). As usual, I added the butterflies, flower and sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Thanks for visiting and I would love to hear your comments.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Butterflies Thinlits Dies

Hello,

As you probably know, I love butterflies so have to stop myself making most cards with them. However the Butterflies Thinlits Dies (#137360) from the Occasions catalogue are irresistible. There are 3 butterflies in this set and the one I used on this card is the middle size one.

The cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Elegant Eggplant (#108614) with the beautiful Something Borrowed DSP (#137785) for the background, which is also in the Occasions catalogue. The punches I used are Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border (#119275), Postage Stamp (#122344), Label Bracket (#132153) and Modern Label (#119849). Whisper White Organza Ribbon (#114319) has been used under the sentiment. This was taped to a piece of Elegant Eggplant which I cut using the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410). To add a bit of bling to the card I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246). Happy Birthday is from the Bloom with Hope stamp set (#c133952, #133949) and stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969). I attached the butterfly with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). These were placed just under the body of the butterfly.

Today's tip-
When cutting with these Butterfly dies you may achieve better results by rolling through the Big Shot 2 or 3 times, especially on thicker card like Glimmer Paper. Also use a waxed paper between the Cardstock and Thinlits dies when there are more delicate designs such as these butterflies.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Gold Embossed Moon Lake

Welcome,

Many ladies say its hard to get or make a nice masculine card but this beautiful stamp set - Moon Lake (#c138540, #w137149) - is ideal.

I heat embossed the image using Versamark (#102283) and Gold Embossing Powder (#109129) and heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). Happy Birthday from the Label Love stamp set (#c130622) is stamped with Real Red ink (#126949), then punched with the Artisan Label punch (#130920). The Cardstock is Very Vanilla (#106550), Real Red (#106578) and Basic Black (#121688). The DSP is from the Flashback collection (#133699). I cut the Real Red card with the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410).

Today's tip-
When heat embossing, don't forget to use the Embossing Buddy (#103083). This prevents extra powder sticking on your project. Just rub across your piece of card to be embossed.

That's all today,

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Big Day

Hi,

The stamped images on today's card are all from the Big Day stamp set (#c139112, #w139109) available from Sale-a-brations.

The words are stamped onto the Chalkboard Paper (#137786) using the Yellow Citrus ColorBox ink pad (#138093) and the Rose Coral ColorBox ink pad (#138091). These permanent inks create realistic chalk effects when used on the Chalkboard Paper. The smooth side of this paper is the one to use with the chalk inks. The cake was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (# 132708) and I coloured the cake with Daffodil Delight Blendabilities (#130998) and Melon Mambo Blendabilities (#130994). The candle was stamped with Melon Mambo ink (#126948). This was then attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The base card is Whisper White (#106549) and the DSP is Confetti Celebration (#133692). The buttons are from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack also from Sale-a-brations.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Stippled Blossoms

Hello Ladies,

The Stamp-a-ma-jig (#101049) is the perfect tool to position the 2 images to make this beautiful flower from the Stippled Blossoms stamp set (#c126747, #132076).

I stamped the first image using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) on Whisper White card (#106549). Then using the stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the second image, I stamped with Melon Mambo (#126948) Daffodil Delight (#126944) and Bermuda Bay (#131171). Each of these flowers were then cut by hand. Happy Birthday is from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #128706) and stamped with Early Espresso ink (#126974). This was punched with the Petite Pennants Builder (#122361). I also punched a butterfly from Gold Glimmer paper (#133719) using the Bitty Butterfly punch (#129406). The Cardstock is Very Vanilla (#106550), Early Espresso (#121686) with Adventure Abound DSP stack (#137780) used for the background. The Butterfly and Yellow flower were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Have a great weekend,

Woodgrain with Owl

Hello,

Going through my box of goodies of leftovers, I found another owl, so very convenient when short of time to make this card.

The Cardstock is Very Vanilla (#106550), Early Expresso (#121686), Calypso Coral (#124392), Wild Wasabi (#111850), Real Red (#106578) and Basic Black (#121688). The flourish from the Flowering Flourish stamp set (#c126367, #w131998) was stamped with Wild Wasabi ink (#126959). Happy Birthday from the hostess set Bloom with Hope (#c133952, #w133949) was stamped with Early Espresso ink (#126974). The punches used are Modern Label (#119849), Postage Stamp (#122344), Label Bracket (#132153) and the Owl Builder (#118074). The ovals were cut with the Ovals Collection Framelits (#129381). Calypso Coral ink (#126983) was sponged around the oval. The embossing on the Calypso Coral card was done with the Woodgrain folder (#127821) and I cut the Early Espresso card with the Tiny Wave Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129409). The front of the owl was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots (#132174).

Owl Builder Punch

Hi,

This card would be suitable for male, female or kids with this cute little owl using the Owl Builder punch (#118074)

This is how the card looks when open.

The Pacific Point card (#116202) measures 21x10.5cm and scored at 7.5cm from the left. The Very Vanilla (#106550) is 12.5x9.5cm. The Crushed Curry card (#131288) is 20x8.5cms and scored at 11.5cm from the left. I embossed the right side of this with the Woodgrain embossing folder (#127821). I stamped the branches from the World of Dreams stamp set (#c134186, #w134183) with Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180). Yes, this image does have birds in the nest but I just wanted the branches for the owl, so placed the owl covering the nest. This was then cut with the Labels Collection Framelits (#125598) and I sponged the edges with Pacific Point ink (#126951). I added Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) to the left side of this only and attached this to the card. This allows the Crushed Curry card to tuck under the right side to hold it in place. Happy Birthday is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (#c126257, #w132022) and cut with the Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267). I also stamped the branches and nest inside the card on the Pacific Point card using Pear Pizzaz ink. Real Red card (#106578) and Basic Black (#121688) were also used for the owls eyes. The front of the owl was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder (#117335).

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Moon Lake birthday

Hi and Welcome,

I used Blendabilities to colour the bird, branch and little flowers on this image from the Moon Lake stamp set (#c138540, #w137149). The grass and sky were lightly coloured using daubers and ink for a very subtle colour. I used the Daffodil Delight (#130998) and Crumb Cake (#131004) Blendabilities, with Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180) for the grass and Soft Sky (#131181) for the sky.

The cardstock used is Whisper White (#106549), Night Of Navy (#106577) and Daffodil Delight (#121680). I used the Woodgrain embossing folder (#127821) on the Daffodil Delight. The Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410) was used to cut the Daffodil Delight card before I embossed it. Happy Birthday is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set (#c126257, #w132022) and stamped using Night of Navy ink (#126970). The Framelits used are Bitty Banners (#129267) and Ovals Collection (#129381). I added Candy Dots from the Regals collection (#130932).

That's all today. Have a great weekend.

Confetti Heart Border Punch

Hello,

With Valentines Day just around the corner, here is a card suitable for that special day or any day you just want to say I love you.

The hearts across the top are punched with the Confetti Heart Border punch (#137415) on Whisper White card (#106578). This was then taped to a piece of Real Red card (#106578). The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch was used for the "ribbon" and cut from Real Red card. Love is from the Seasonally Scattered stamp set which was available in the Holiday Catalogue but did suit this card. This was stamped with Real Red ink (#126949). I wanted to add "you" after Love, so used the Thank You stamp from Lotus Blossoms stamp set (#p139143) and just adding ink to the "you" using Real Red Stampin' Write Marker (#100052) before stamping it. The White ribbon for the bow is also retired.

Have a great day!

Happy Birthday from Label Love stamp set (#c130622, #w130619) is stamped with Real Red ink (#126949) and punched with the Artisan Label (#130920). Moon Lake

Hello and Welcome,

I do love this new Moon Lake (#c138540, #w137149) stamp set from the Occasions Catalogue. I stamped this image of the duck using Versamark (#102283) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129), then heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056).

I used Rich Razzleberry (#119981) for the base card and also cut a piece using the Labels Collection Framelits (#125598). Chalkboard Paper

Hello,

I was just deciding what card to make today when my Stampin' Up! Order arrived so just had to use some of the new products on this quick and easy card.

The Chalkboard Paper (#137786) is found in the Occasions catalogue . One side of this paper has a smooth grain which is the side to use with the ColourBox Chalk Ink Pads. The other side works well with the Craft Stampin' ink. I used the Yellow Citrus Chalk Ink Pad (#138093) to stamp this image from Moon Lake stamp set (#c138540, #w137149), also from the Occasions catalogue. Happy Birthday is from Big Day stamp set (#c139112, #w139109) from Sale-a-bration. This was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink pad (#132708) on Hello Honey card (#133685). The DSP is from the Adventure Bound DSP Stack (#137780). I love this set of outdoor designs and will be great for masculine cards as well as scrapbooking.

Traveler

Welcome again,

Time for a masculine card especially when I needed one for my son-in-law's birthday.

I used Cherry Cobbler for the base card (#121681) which I embossed with the Chevron folder (#127749). I stamped the train from Traveler stamp set (#c134513, #w134510) with Cherry Cobbler ink (#126966) on Very Vanilla card (#106550). The edges of this was distressed with the Stampin' Distress tool (#127562). The DSP from Flashback (#133699) was torn, then sponged with Cherry Cobbler ink. Happy Birthday is from the Sketched Birthday stamp set (#c130426, #w130423) and cut with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits (#129267). The button is one of the Antique Brads (#117273). I used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) for the sentiment and train.

Have you checked out all the fabulous products available in the new Occasions catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure. Click here to view the Occasions catalogue and here for the Sale-a-bration brochure.

Owl Builder punch

Hi Ladies,

This cute little owl is very easy to make with the Owl Builder Punch (#118074). It's been around for a while but still very popular.

The base card is Mossy Meadow (#133683) with Whisper White (#106549) which I have embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder (#117335). The owl uses Calypso Coral (#124392), Very Vanilla (#106550), Real Red (#106578) and Basic Black (#121688). The hearts are punched with the Hearts Border punch (#133784). Happy Birthday is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set (#c126707, #w132070) using Calypso Coral ink (#126983). The flourish is from the Flowering Flourishes stamp set (#c126367, #w131998) and I stamped this with Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180). The ribbon is from the Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (#138634) which is one of the free products available from Sale-a-bration. I attached the owl to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Today's tip: Stamp the flourish before embossing the card to get a good stamped image.

Petite Petals

Hello,

Whoops! I just realised I didn't show you one of the cards in my One Sheet Wonder series using pieces #6 and #9, so here it is.

I stamped the Very Vanilla base card using Crumb Cake ink (#126975) with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (#c130517, #130514). The DSP is Flashback (#133699) and the other cardstock is Basic Black (#121688), Real Red (#106578) and Smokey Slate (#131291) which I used for the leaves. These leaves were punched with the Bird Builder Punch (#117191). The flowers are from the Petite Petals stamp set (#c133155, #w133152) and I used Real Red ink (#126949), Crushed Curry (#131173) and Pool Party (#126982). I sponged around the edges of each of the flowers. Best Wishes are part of the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706). I used the Circles Framelits (#130911) to cut the Very Vanilla card for the sentiment and the Real Red card was punched with the 1-3/8" circle punch (#119860). I used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) for the flowers and sentiment. The leaves were glued using 2-way glue pen (#100425). I added Candy Dots to the centre of the flowers. Pool Party Candy Dots are in the Subtles collection (#130933) and Crushed Curry from the Regals (#130932). Unfortunately I didn't have any Real Red candy dots left so I used some of the White ones from the neutrals (#130934) and coloured them with the medium Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities (#139924) which worked great.

Today's tip: As Stampin' Blendabilities are alcohol based markers they will colour any embellishments - buttons, brads, ribbons etc. The Blendabilities come in sets of 3 - light, medium and dark so great for blending and shading any image.

Best Year Ever accessory pack

Hi and welcome,

The Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (#138634) is one of many free products from Sale-a-bration.This includes ribbon and buttons in Calypso Coral, Crushed Curry and Coastal Cabana.

The flowers are from the new Occasions catalogue. This set is Petal Potpourri (#c#138586, #w137141) and punched with the Flower Medallion punch (#137417). These can be purchased in a bundle, saving 15% (#c138877, #w138876). I stamped the flowers using Coastal Cabana (#131175), Crushed Curry (#131173) and Calypso Coral ink (#126983). Then I stamped a second image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). Using the Stamp-a-jig (#101049) makes it so easy to line up the 2 images. Crystal Effects (#101055) was used to adhere the buttons to the flowers. Happy Birthday is from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706) and I used the Modern Label punch (#119849). The Cardstock used is Calypso Coral (#124392), Basic Black (#121688), Crisp Cantaloupe (#131176) and Whisper White (#106549). I embossed the Crisp Cantaloupe with the Honeycomb folder (#129378).

Today's tip: Crystal Effects is a great adhesive to attach buttons or any heavier embellishments. You can also create a glossy lacquered look to any image. Add a 3-dimensional effect to your projects simply by applying a thick line of Crystal Effects to the outline of your stamped image. After this has dried ( about an hour) add a thinner coat inside the outlined area.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Lotus Blossom

Hello,

Stampin' Up! is famous for its 2-step stamping but this beautiful stamp set - Lotus Blossom (#p139143)- is really 3 step stamping and doesn't it look great. You can get one of these stamps sets for free during Sale-a-bration which starts today till 31st March. There is a great range of products which you can earn for free.

This set is a photopolymer one so makes it so easy to do this technique. The best result when stamping with photopolymer stamps is to place your card onto a Stampin' Pierce Mat (#126199), this gives you even pressure and ink coverage. I originally thought it was best to stamp the lighter image first when 2-step stamping but I have tried it with the darker image first and find this may be even better. Try it yourself to see which method suits you. For this stamp set I used Melon Mambo ink (#126948) for the darker image which is image no. 1. (Each of the flower images are numbered on this stamp set). The 2nd image I also used Melon Mambo but used the Stampin' Off method. For this technique, ink your stamp then stamp once onto scrap paper, then stamp onto the card without re-inking. This gives a lighter colour by using this method. The 3rd image was stamped with Pink Pirouette ink (#126956). The stems were stamped with Wild Wasabi (#126959). Another technique I used on this card was the masking technique. You will see how one of the stems goes behind the flower. So to do this, I stamped the no. 3 image on a piece of post it notes paper. The thinner the paper the better, so don't use cardstock. Cut out the image and place to over the flower you are wanting to mask. Stamp the stem and it will appear to go behind the flower. This can be done with any image you want to place one behind another.
The base card is Pink Pirouette (#116203), with Wild Wasabi (#111850) and Whisper White card (#106549) also being used. The stem and sentiments were stamped with Wild Wasabi ink (#126959).

Butterflies Thinlits dies

Hi again,

The products from the new Occasions catalogue are available from tomorrow and this beautiful butterfly is one of the many fabulous products available. It is from the Butterflies Thinlits dies (#137360).

I cut the butterfly from the Red Glimmer Paper (#121790). Other cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Real Red (#106578). I embossed the base card with the Perfect Polka Dots (#117335) and the smaller piece of Whisper White with Decorative Dots (#133520). The Real Red was cut with the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410). Happy Birthday from Sassy Salutations (#c126707, #w132070) is stamped with Real Red ink (#126949). The butterfly is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) just under the body. This is a very simple card but with this beautiful butterfly you don't need anything complicated.

Today's tip: You can easily transform your Stampin' Trimmer (#129722) into a rotary cutter with the Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Addition (#132986) and Rotary blades. Just turn the cutting mat on the trimmer to the flat side. The groove side is used for the normal trimmer.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Petal potpourri

Welcome,

This is the last card in my One Sheet Wonder series, using pieces #8 and #14.
I love it when a card just comes together so easy as this one did.

The flower is from the new Occasions Catalogue which is available from 6th January. This stamp set is Petal Potpourri (#c138586, #w137141) and has a coordinating punch which is the Flower Medallion (#137417). These can also be purchased as a bundle (#c138877,#w138876) which gives you a 15% saving. The leaves are from the Autumn Accents Bigz dies (#127812). The Boho Blossoms punch (#119858) was used to punch the Champagne Glimmer paper (#127885) and was placed at the centre of the larger flower. Happy Birthday is from the Bloom with Hope stamp set (#c133952, #w133949) and punched with the Modern Label punch (#119849). Real Red ink (#126949) was used for the flower and sentiment. The cardstock used is Very Vanilla (#106550), Real Red (#106578) and Garden Green (#108605), with Flashback DSP (#133699). I used the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder (#117335) on the Real Red card.

If there are any products you would like to order from the Holiday catalogue, tomorrow is your last chance, so contact me now so you don't miss out.

Don't forget to check out the Year End Closeouts which also ends tomorrow. There are still some fabulous deals on some amazing products.

Delicate Designs

Hello,

This is the second last card in the One Sheet Wonder series, using piece No 4. I then cut this into 8 squares.

Throughout this series I have used the Flashback DSP (#133699). For this card I have used Very Vanilla card (#106550) for the base card. I cut the scalloped edge with the Large Scallop Edgelits (#127019), then embossed with the Delicate Designs folder (#127023). I then added a piece of Real Red card (#106578) behind the scallop. Then I attached the DSP squares to another piece of Real Red card and taped that to the base card. I punched the butterflies using the Bitty Butterfly punch (#129406) and the flowers with the Petite Petals punch (#133322) using Red Glimmer Paper (#121790) I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) to the flowers and butterflies. Happy Birthday is from Label Love stamp set (#c130622, #w130619) and punched with the coordinating Artisan Label punch (#130920). The ink is Real Red (#126949). The sentiment, flowers and butterflies were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's all today. Have a great weekend.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Petite Petals

Happy New Year to everyone,

I hope the year ahead is a great one for you all. Don't forget with the New Year comes the new occasions catalogue and Sale-a-bration which starts on 6th January. You will find some great new products for Valentines Day, Birthdays, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Weddings, Graduations and much much more. So make sure you check these out on the 6th.

I have used piece No 5 on this card. I marked it incorrectly on the template - it should be 12x 6cm not 5cm.

I have used Crushed Curry card (#131288), Real Red (#106578), Basic Black (#121688) and Very Vanilla (#106550). The stamp sets used are Flower Shop (#c130942, #w130939), Petite Petals (#c133155, #w133152) and Good Greetings. The inks are Real Red (#126949) and Crushed Curry (#131173). The punches are Pansy (#130698), Petite Petals (#133322) and Modern Label (#119849). I also used the Starburst Framelits (#132967). I embossed the Real Red card with the Decorative Dots folder (#133520). The centre of the flowers have Neutrals Candy Dots (#130934) attached and I have used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) for the flowers and sentiment.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
