Hearth and Home Thinlits Dies

Hi,

Previously when I have used this window die from the Hearth And Home Thinlits Dies (#139666), it appeared that we were looking out a window, so today I wanted it to look like I was looking from the outside.

The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550). I embossed the Crumb Cake card (#121685) with the Brickwall folder (#138288). The window was cut from Soft Suede card (#119982). The flowers are from the Butterfly Basics stamp set (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154) and stamped onto Whisper white card (#106549). I used Melon Mambo and Old Olive Stampin' Write Markers from the Brights collection (#131259) for the leaves and flowers, then these were cut by hand. Just for You is from the Watercolour Wings stamp set (#139424) and stamped with Melon Mambo ink (#126948). The sentiment was punched with the Washi Tape punch (#138296). The flower and sentiment were attached using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

It's Wednesday already so here are this weeks WEEKLY DEALS.

Scrapbook page

Hello again,

I don't seem to get much time for scrapbooking and I have so many photos to scrap. Here's a simple layout I have just completed.

The background is a retired Night of Navy DSP. The other Cardstock is Real Red (#106578), Night of Navy (#106577) and Whisper White (#106549). The tags are cut with one of the Tags & Labels Framelits (#138282). The letters are cut with an electronic cutter and glued to the tags with 2-way glue (#100425). The tags were punched with the 1/16" circle punch (#134363) to be able to thread the Gold Cording Trim (#139618) through.

That's all for now. Will go and try to get some more pages done.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Butterflies Thinlits and Red Foil

Hello,

I was asked to make some butterfly cards, so of course with my love of butterflies, that was an easy task. This is one of the cards.

On the Whisper White base card (#106549) I embossed the Happy Birthday from Happy Birthday Everyone (#c139958, #w139171) using VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing Powder (#109129) which was then heat set. The butterfly was cut with the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360) using Red Foil Sheets (#139607). This was attached to the background which is Gold Foil sheets (#132622) and the beautiful vellum from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack (#139594). I used the Mini Brads (#122941) to attach the vellum to the gold foil. This was attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Festive Flower

Hi Ladies,

The Festive Flower Builder Punch (#139682) makes it so easy to make this beautiful flower.

I stamped the petals with the Reason for the Season stamp set (#139730) on Cherry Cobbler card (#121681) using Cherry Cobbler ink (#126966). The petals were then punched with the Festive Flower Builder Punch. For this flower I cut 8 of the medium petals, 2 of the double petals and2 of the crosses for the centre. The flower was put together with hot melt glue - this gives great dimension to the flower. I then added Dazzling Diamonds Glitter (#133751) to the veins of the flower.
The other Cardstock used is Night of Navy (#106577), Crushed Curry (#131288) and Very Vanilla (#106550) with DSP from the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack (#138434). Thinking of you from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments (#c120024, #w130042) was stamped with Crushed Curry ink (#131173). The banners were cut with the Banners Framelits (#132173).

Thanks for visiting.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Hearth And Home Thinlits dies

Welcome,

I have used the Hearth and Home Thinlits Die (#139666) on this Christmas card, but it certainly won't be restricted to Christmas cards.

The base card of Whisper White (#106549) has been embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing folder (#139672). On a smaller piece of Whisper White I stamped with the Cozy Christmas stamp set (#c139779, #w139776) using VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Embossing powder (#109131) and this was heat set. Then using the speckles from Jingle all the Way (#139904), I stamped these with Soft Sky ink (#131181). This was taped to the base card. The window was cut from Crushed Curry card (#131288) and then attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Merry Everything is from Jingle All The Way using Crushed Curry ink (#131173).

That's all for today,

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Vintage Leaves

Hello,

I have used the masking technique when stamping the leaves from the Vintage Leaves stamp set (#p138802).

The leaves were stamped with Crumb Cake ink (#126975) and then I added some glitter to the leaves using Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter (#133751). To get this glitter stick to the card I used the 2-way glue pen (#100425). Happy Birthday is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set (#c126707, #w132070) and I heat embossed this with VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing powder (#109129). I used the 5/8" Gold Satin Ribbon (#134547).   I cut around the leaves, then attached this card to the base card - both are Whisper White (#106549). I was really pleased with the finished card - another simple but nice card.

Today's tip: To do the masking technique, stamp the image on the card. Then stamp again on a piece of note paper ( post it notes work well) and cut this image just inside the lines. This becomes your mask. This mask is placed over the stamped image on the card. Then stamp the next image on the card and this will give the layered look.

Have a great weekend,

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Awesomely Artistic

Hello,

Awesomely Artistic (#c139950, #w138694) is the stamp set I chose for today's card.

The flowers were stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Emboss Powder (#122949) which was then heat set. I cut this with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits (#130102) and sponged the edges with Cherry Cobbler ink (#126966). Happy Birthday from Tag Talk (#c134249, #w134249) was also heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler, then punched with the Label Bracket (#132153). The dragonfly was stamped with the Archival Basic Black ink (#140931). The Cardstock is Whisper White (#106549), Cherry Cobbler (#121681) and Timeless Elegance Designer Series Paper (#138444). I added White Perfect Accents (#138416) to the white base card.

Have a great day and thanks for taking the time to look at my cards.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Everything Eleanor

Hello,

When a new catalogue arrives we are all so excited about all the new products and can't wait to design new cards etc. However there are still all those great products in the annual catalogue so today I am using Everything Eleanor (#c124164, #w131987) which is an old favourite.

All the images are from Everything Eleanor except the sentiment which is in the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706). The inks are Pink Pirouette (#126956) and Rose Red (#126954). The Cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Rose Red (#108613). I added some Dazzling Diamonds Stampin' Glitter (#133751) to the flowers and the flourish (hopefully it shows up on the photo) by applying glue from the 2-way Glue Pen, then sprinkling the glitter onto the card. Remove the excess glitter and allow to dry. After hand cutting the flowers they were attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The decorative edge on the white card was achieved by using the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410).

Bye for now.

Happy Stamping!

Beautiful Bunch

Welcome ladies,

A pretty card today using the flower from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set (#134282, #134279).

The base card is Wisteria Wonder (#124389) and the other card is Whisper White (#106549). The corners of the Whisper White were punched with the Curvy Corner Trio punch (#139683). The background behind the flower is stamped with Gorgeous Grunge (#c130517, #w130514) using Wisteria Wonder ink (#126985) and Elegant Eggplant (#126969). I wanted to stamp the splotches in a circle so I cut a piece of scrap paper with a Circles Framelit (#130911), placed it on the white card as a mask, then stamped the splotches. The sentiment is from the Tag Talk (#c134252, #134249) and the punch that co-ordinates with this is the Label Bracket (#132153). The punch for the flower is the Fun Flower (#133785). Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the flower and sentiment to the card. I added a Metal Rimmed Pearl (#138394) to the centre of the flower.

Have a great day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

The flowers from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c139471, #w139167) are stamped with Daffodil Delight ink (#126944) and punched with the Pansy Punch (#130698). I punched some small flowers with the Tree Builder Punch (#138295) from the Black Glimmer Paper (#139605) which is found in the holiday catalogue and these were glued to the flowers. I used the new Fine Tip Glue Pen (#138309) which is also in the holiday catalogue. Happy Birthday was stamped with the Basic Black Archival stamp pad (#140931). Happy Birthady is from the Hostess set, Happy Birthday Everyone (#c149958, #w139171). The background was stamped with the Hardwood stamp (# c133035, #w133032) using Crumb Cake ink (#126975). Circle of Spring

Hi Ladies,

This beautiful Wreath is stamped with the Circle Of Spring stamp set (#p138964) and co-ordinates with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits. Also in the annual catalogue is the Wondrous Wreath stamp set (#p135047) and in the holiday catalogue is the Peaceful Wreath (#139794) and these also co-ordinate with these Framelits which makes them very versatile.

I stamped the Wreath with VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Embossing power (#109131) which was then heat set. The flowers and leaves were coloured with Stampin' Write Markers - Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight from the Brights collection (#131259), and Wild Wasabi And Wisteria Wonder from the Subtles (#131263). The Cardstock is Melon Mambo (#119980), Whisper White (#106549) and Brights DSP Stack (#138434). The Marina Mist card was embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder (#139672).

The flower from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set (#c134282, #w134279) was stamped with Watermelon Wonder ink (#138323), then punched with the Fun Flower punch (#133785). World of Dreams

Hello,

This was one of the cards we made in this week's classes.

The base card is So Saffron (#108611) and the other Cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Soft Suede (#119982). I embossed the card front with the Woodgrain embossing folder (#127821). I stamped a smaller piece of So Saffron with an image from World Of Dreams (#c134186, #w134183) using VersaMark (#102283). This gives just a subtle image. I then cut an oval with one of the Ovals Collection Framelits. I stamped the birds image onto the white card with Soft Suede ink (#126978). This was taped to the card. I then cut an oval from another piece of white card slightly larger than the So Saffron and taped these 2 cards together, then attached these to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from Butterfly Basics (#c138816, #w138813, #p 137154). The little banners are punched using the Banner punch (#133519).

Enjoy your day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Swallowtail

Hi and welcome,

I just love this beautiful Swallowtail stamp (#c129216, #w131943) - (as I do all butterflies). This butterfly is large so the whole image doesn't quite fit on a normal size card but just part of the butterfly is still lovely. I stamped this to one side, then cut around the butterfly on the right side and added Real Red card (#106578).

The butterfly was stamped with VersaMark (#102283), then heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder (#109129). I cut the right side of the butterfly, then I  traced the outline of the butterfly onto Real Red card and cut this and taped to the back of the butterfly so just a small amount of red shows. The sentiment from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#c122497, #w128706) was also heat embossed in gold.

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Hardwood and Butterfly Basics

Hi and welcome,

For today's card I used the Hardwood stamp (#c133035, #w133032) for the background, stamping with Crumb Cake ink (#126975).

The Cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Pacific Point (#116202), and the Designer Series Paper is from the Brights DSP Stack (#138434). Happy Birthday is from the Butterfly Basics stamp set (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154), and this was stamped with Pacific Point ink (#126951). The butterfly from the same set is stamped with Daffodil Delight ink (#126944). I stamped a second butterfly which I then cut with the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360) and attached this on top of the other butterfly with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Have a great week.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Butterfly Basics

Hello ladies,

Yesterday I showed you the new Curvey Corner Trio Punch (#139683) and I have used it on this card as well. Doesn't it give a lovely shape to the corners.

The card used is Calypso Coral (#124392) and Whisper White (#106549). To stamp the image with the 2 colours I inked the leaves with Mossy Meadow (#133645), then removed the ink from the flowers with a Blender Pen (#102845),  then using a Calypso Coral Stampin' Write marker (#131902) I added the ink for the flowers. The stamp set is Birthday Basics (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154) and the sentiment was stamped with Calypso Coral (#126983). The butterfly from the Butterflies Thinlits was cut from Silver Glimmer Paper (#135314), then attached to the card with a Stampin' Dimensional (#104430).

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Beautiful Bunch

Hello,

Today's card uses a variety of punches, including the new Curvy Corner Trio punch (#139683) which is in the new Holiday catalogue. This punch has 3 shapes, the one as shown on the card that cut the corners of the Night Of Navy card (#106577). It also punches another fancy corner as well as a slot for ribbon.

Here is the punch and the 3 different shapes.

The base card is Whisper White (#106549). The leaves punched with the Bird Builder punch (#117191) uses Garden Green card (#108605). These were glued  to the DSP using the 2-way Glue pen.  The Designer Series Paper (DSP) is from the Brights DSP Stack (#138434) and cut with the Deco Labels Collection Framelits (#130102). The flower from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set (#c134282, #w134279) was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder (#1222949). This was then punched with the co-ordinating Fun Flower punch (#133785) and assembled using Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Happy Birthday is from the hostess set Happy Birthday Everyone (#c139958, #w138942) and this was also heat embossed with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder.

Have a great weekend.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Flowering Flourishes

Hello again,

Yes, I'm back. Sorry I haven't posted a blog for the last week or so but we were away on holidays and couldn't get any internet or phone service. We went to Carnarvon Gorge - such a beautiful place and we had a lovely relaxing time although did lots of walking.
So today's card follows on from the previous cards where I was using Whisper White card (#106549) and stamping. However on this card I did use Calypso Coral card (#124392) for the owls body, and the eyes use Crumb Cake (#121685) and Basic Black (#121688).

The inks are Calypso Coral (#126983) and Crumb Cake (#126975). The flourish is from the Flowering Flourishes stamp set (#c126367, #w131998) and the sentiment from Happy Birthday Everyone (#c139958, #w139171). The owl is made using the Owl Builder punch (#118074) and the owl is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
