Happy Christmas

Merry Christmas to everyone,

This is my last Christmas card for 2016 using the beautiful Star Of Light Bundle (#p143508). This has been a very popular stamp set with matching framelits.

The Star Of Light stamp set (#p142110) has been used for the greetings and the flourish of stars. I have used Night Of Navy ink (#126970) and Daffodil Delight ink (#126944). The stars have been cut with the Starlight Thinlits Dies (#141840) using Night Of Navy card (#106577), Daffodil Delight card (#121680) and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (#135315). The base card is Night of Navy and the card front is Whisper White (#106549). I also added a little star from the Metallic Enamel Shapes (#141678) to the middle of the stars. The base star was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) as was the top star. I glued the yellow star with Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309).

I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a very Merry Christmas and thanks for all of your support during the year.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Vintage Leaves

Hello and welcome,

I used the Rock and Roll method to stamp these leaves from the Vintage Leaves (#p138802), to give the different colours on the leaves.

For the rock and roll method, ink the stamp with the lighter coloured ink, then roll the edges of the stamp on the darker coloured ink. If you use the darker colour first you will get that colour transferred onto the lighter ink pad so best to use the lighter colour first. For these leaves I used Crushed Curry (#131173) with Cajun Craze (#126965), Mint Macaron (#138326) with Soft Suede (#126978) and Cherry Cobbler with Early Espresso (#126974). These leaves have been cut with the Leaflets Framelits (#138283). After shaping the leaves with a bone folder (#102300), I attached them to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).
For You is stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink and is from the Birthday Blooms stamp set (#c140658, #w140655). The cardstock used is Soft Suede (#119982) and Very Vanilla (#106550 with the background from the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack (#141642). I added some Copper Metallic Thread (#141696) and a Metal Rimmed Pearl (#138394) to the stems of the leaves.

That's all for today.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate

Hello,

The background on this card is the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate (#141653). These acetate sheets are Gold on one side and Silver on the other. I have used the silver side. There are 3 different designs in the pack.

The cardstock is Whisper White (#106549), Night Of Navy (#106577) and Real Red (#106578). The butterfly was cut from the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (#135315) using the Bold Butterfly Framelits (#138135). Happy Birthday and the banner are both images from the Birthday Banners stamp set (#p141506) using Night Of Navy ink (#126970) and Real Red (#126949). The circles are cut with the Layering Circles Framelits (#141705). I used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the banner, the butterfly and circles to the card.

Bye for now.

Happy Stamping!

Birds and Blooms Thinlit

Hello again,

There are very few cards I make these days that I don't use Framelits. They are so convenient and easy to use. There is such a great variety available from Stampin' Up! and today I have used 3 different sets. I have had a sneak peek at the new Occasions catalogue that will be available from 4th January with more exciting framelits and a great range of products. Can't wait to show them to you.

For the bird I used Birds And Bloom Thinlits (#141477), the circles are from the Layering Circles Framelits (#141705) and the swirl from the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits (#141474). I have also used 2 embossing folders. The white circle was embossed with the Elegant Dots folder (#138287) and I embossed the side of the Whisper White base card (#106549) with one of the folders from Floral Affection (#141713). There are 2 smaller folders in this set. The Designer Series Paper is Flirty Flamingo from the 2016-2018 In-Colour DSP Stacks (#141408). For the bird and larger circle I used Rose Red card (#108613). Mint Macaron card (#138344) was used for the swirl. The swirl was glued with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755) and the bird was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Oh,  yes, I almost forgot, I did do some stamping - Happy Birthday from Butterfly Basics (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154) was stamped with Rose Red ink (#126954).

Hope you are all organised for Christmas with only a few more days till Santa comes.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Serene Scenery DSP Stack

Hello Ladies and Gents,

I have made a couple of cards this week using the Serene Scenery Designer series Paper Stack (#141642) and the Touches Of Texture stamp set (#141934) but with very different looks.

I have stamped the images directly onto this piece of DSP using Soft Suede ink (#126978), Tip Top Taupe (#138325), Early Espresso (#126974), and Sahara Sand (#126976). I then coloured the flowers with Peekaboo Peach ink (#141398) and the flowers with Garden Green (#126973). The colour for these were applied using a Blender Pen (#102845). The cardstock is Early Espresso (#121686), Garden Green (#108605) and Very Vanilla (#106550). Happy Birthday is from the Sweet Cupcake stamp set (#p141498) and stamped with Garden Green ink. The banners were cut using a framelit from the Bunch of Banners (#141488). The ribbon is Peekaboo Peach 3/8" Ruched ribbon (#141427). The greeting was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's all for today.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Sweet Cupcake

Hello and welcome,

This cupcake from the Sweet Cupcake stamp set (#p141498) is stamped using the Two-step method which allows you to get the different colours or tones.

The base of the cup cake was stamped onto Crushed Curry card (#131288) using Crushed Curry ink (#131173), then Daffodil Delight ink (#126944), followed by So Saffron ink (#126957). The stamps are marked 1, 2 and 3 and I find stamping them in this order is the easiest. The photopolymer stamps make it easy to align the images. The icing was stamped on Whisper White card (#106549) using Daffodil Delight and So Saffron inks. Then I stamped the last image with VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing Powder (#109129). For the icing I stamped No 2 first, then 3, then 1. The base and top of the cupcake are both cut with the co-ordinating Cupcake Cutouts Framelits (#141474). Of course these are available as a bundle (#142232) with a 10% saving. The circles are cut with the Layering Circles Framelits (#141705). The greeting is stamped with Daffodil Delight ink and the banner with Crushed Curry ink. The Birthday Banners stamp set (#p141506) is where you will find these stamps. With these photopolymer stamps I have been able to curve the greeting to match the shape of the banner.   Tip: Stamp the banner first, then the greeting, then cut the banner with the Framelits. This framelit is from the Bunch Of Banners Framelits (#141488). The Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate (#141653) has been used for the background and attached to the Whisper White base card. Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the banner and icing.

Time is running out the get some great products at discounted prices. Click here to see what's available until 3rd January or while stocks last in the Year-End Closeouts.

That's all for today,
Happy Stamping!

Merry Tags Framelits Dies

Hi,

I am sure everyone has their Christmas cards made by now, but just in case you have a last minute one to make, here is one in very traditional colours - red and gold.

I have used Real Red cardstock (#106578), Whisper White (#106549) and Gold Foil Sheets (#132622). I have stamped all the images with VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing Powder (#109129), which then is heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The background behind the bauble and the 25 are from the Merriest Wishes stamp set (#c142066, #w142063). The sentiment and ivy are from the Embellished Ornaments stamp set (#c139759, #w139756). The bauble and circle were cut with the Merry Tags Framelits Dies (#141835). These can be purchased in a bundle (#c143520, #w143519) with the Merriest Wishes stamp set, but only till the 3rd January. The greeting was cut with the Banners Framelits (#132173). The edge of this banner was sponged with Real Red ink (#126949). This and the bauble were attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). I used the Gold Metallic Thread (#138401) to "hang" the bauble.

Thats all for another day.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Flourish Thinlits

Hello,

It's along time since I have had a chance to do any scrapbooking, so thought I would do a page today. Hope to get a bit more time next year for scrapping as I have so many photos I need to do something with.

I have used the Flourish Thinlits (#141478) to cut the flowers, leaves and border. The Layered Letters Alphabet stamp set (#p138692) was used to stamp the title, then I cut each letter using the Lots Of Labels Framelits (#138281). These letters were stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink (#141397). The White card for the base page is from the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper (#142014). This paper is white on white with a textured design. These designs can be highlighted by adding ink. The other cardstock is Flirty Flamingo (#141421), Wisteria Wonder (#124389), Pink Pirouette (#116203) and Mint Macaron (#138344).

Have a great day.
Till next time.
Happy Stamping!

Falling Flowers

Hello,

I had a piece of DSP from the Serene Scenery DSP Stack (#141642) left over from yesterdays card so have used it on the background for this card. It can't go to waste, can it!

The cardstock is Sweet Sugarplum (#141423), Very Vanilla (#106550) and Pear Pizzaz (#131290). The sentiment from the Mixed Borders stamp set (#p141932) was stamped with Sweet Sugarplum ink (#141395). This was cut with one of the framelits from the Layering Circles Framelits (#141705) then attached to the Gold Metallic Foil Doilie (#138392). The larger flowers were stamped with Sweet Sugarplum ink, and the smaller flowers were stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink (#126950). The leaves were stamped with Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180). These flowers and leaves can be found in the Falling Flowers stamp set (#c139556, #w139553) and cut with the co-ordinating May Flower Framelits Dies (#140276). I added Metallic Enamel Shapes (#141678) to the flowers. I used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the larger flowers, and Mini Glue Dots for the smaller flowers (#103683). The leaves were glued with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755).

Enjoy your day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Balloon Bouquet Punch

Hi Ladies,

This quick and easy card could be used for people of all ages, using the Balloon Bouquet punch (#140609).

The balloons were punched from Silver Glimmer Paper (#135314), Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719) and Red Glimmer Paper (#121790). There are 2 different size balloons in this punch and I have used both sizes for the gold and silver balloons and the larger one for the red balloon. The base card is Pacific Point (#116202). The strings and the sentiment were stamped with Pacific Point ink (#126951). These images are from the Balloon Celebration stamp set (#p140675). I embossed the Whisper White card (#1-6549) using the Confetti Embossing Folder (#140592), then added the balloons to the card. The banner for Happy Birthday was cut using a framelit from the Cupcake Cutouts framelits (#141474), cutting off a small piece on the right side, to line up with the edge of the white card. The full size of this banner fits exactly across this card.

Sweet Cupcake

Hello again,

We all have little pieces of card that we just can't throw away, so here on today's card I have used these pieces to make the background, the cupcake and greeting. This is a great way and so simple to make your own background.

I cut1cm pieces of Wisteria Wonder card (#124389) and Elegant Eggplant card (#108614), then taped them onto the Very Vanilla card (#106550). The base of the cupcake was stamped with Wisteria Wonder ink (#126985) and Elegant Eggplant ink (#108614). One of the images stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink was using the Stamping off method, to give a lighter colour. The top of the cupcake was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and Silver Embossing Powder (#109131) which was then heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The stamps used for this card are from the Sweet Cupcake stamp set (#p141498). The  cupcake and "wish" are cut with the Cupcake Cutouts Framelits Dies (#141474). The label was cut using the Bunch Of Banners Framelits (#141488). Metal Rimmed Pearls (#138394) were added to the card and I attached Silver Satin Ribbon (#134548) between the Vellum (#106584) and the background.

That's all for today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Timeless Textures

Hello,

I have stamped the background for this card using the Timeless Textures stamp set (#c140517, #w140514).

Firstly I stamped around the edges of the Very Vanilla Card (#106550) using VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing Powder (#109129) which was heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). Then I stamped another image using Crumb Cake ink (#126975) over the top. Then I used Wisteria Wonder ink (#126985) with another image. I used Elegant Eggplant card (#108614) to matt the pieces of Very Vanilla card. Happy Birthday and the Banner are from the Birthday Banners stamp set (#p141506) and stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969). The Bunch Of Banners Framelits (#141488) were used to cut the banner. This was then attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (# 104430). The butterfly was cut with the Bold Butterfly Framelits from Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719) and also attached with dimensionals.

Have a great day.

May Flower Framelits

Hi again,

The May Flowers Framelits (#140276) which co-ordinate with the Falling Flowers stamp set (#p139553) have been used on this card today. I used these sets a couple of days ago using different images to give a totally different looking card.

I stamped the leaves onto the Whisper White card (#106549) using Wild Wasabi ink (#126959) and the buds were stamped with So Saffron (#126957). I then embossed this card with the Elegant Dots folder (#138287). Rich Razzleberry ink (#126950) was used to stamp the larger flowers and So Saffron for the 2 smaller flowers. Rich Razzleberry card (#119981) was used for the base card and one of the flowers. The flowers were cut using the May Flowers Framelits. The beautiful ribbon is from the Holiday catalogue. I used the Sweet Sugarplum from the Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack (#142015). There is also a silver ribbon in this pack. The sentiment is from the Mixed Borders stamp set (#p141932) and the framelit to cut this is from the Lots Of Labels Framelits (#138281). This was attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). I added a gold circle from the Metallic Enamel Shapes (#141678) to the Rich Razzleberry flower.

The silver star is cut from Silver Foil Sheet (#132178) and the red star is from Red Glimmer Paper (#121790). The framelit set to cut the stars is the Starlight Thinlits Dies (#141840). These framelits can also be purchased in a bundle (#p141840) with the Star Of Light stamp sets, which saves you 10%. The silver star was attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) and I glued to red star with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309).
The sentiments were stamped with Real Red ink (#126949) and the star was stamped with Daffodil Delight (#126944). The Whisper White card on the base on the left and right panels were embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder (#139672). The middle panel was left plain to allow for writing on.
I also made the envelope using the Envelope Punch Board (#133774) from 12x12" Whisper White card (#124302) This Board allows you to make 66 different size envelopes in 4 easy steps. Country Livin'

Hello,

Another masculine card today using the Country Livin' stamp set (#c141925, #w141922).

The boots have been stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and heat embossed with the Copper Embossing powder (#141636) on Very Vanilla card (#106550). This was attached to a piece of Copper Foil Sheet (#142020), then I wound some Copper Metallic Thread (#141696) around this. The base card is Early Espresso (#121686) and the DSP is from the Moroccan Designer Series Paper (#141645). Happy Birthday and the banner are both from Birthday Banners stamp set (#p141506). The banner was stamped with Early Espresso ink (126974) and the sentiment with Copper Embossing Powder. The banner was cut with the co-ordinating Bunch Of Banners Framelits (#141488). I used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the banner and the copper foil sheet to the card.

Stampin' Up! have a large number of products, many at reduced prices, in their Year-End Closeouts, so if you would like to see what is available click here. These are available till 3rd January or while stocks last. These products won't be available in the next catalogue so don't miss out. Contact me if you need more information.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Copper Embossing Powder

Hi Ladies and Gents,

Today's card is great for a male card using the old truck from the Country Livin' stamp set (#c141925, #w141922).

The truck was stamped on Very Vanilla card (#106550) with VersaMark (#102283) and Copper Embossing Powder (#141636) which is then heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The design on the Dapper Denim card is also stamped with the Copper Embossing powder. This stamp is from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set (#130514). Happiest of Birthdays to You is from the Birthday Blossoms stamp set (#c140658, #w140655), and stamped with Dapper Denim ink (#141394). I sponged the edges of the Very Vanilla card with Soft Suede ink (#126978).

Well that's all for today.
Hope you have had a great weekend.

Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Z-fold card

Hello again everyone,

It has been a while since I have posted a blog as I have been away enjoying a great holiday, but I'm now back and time to get ready for Christmas. I have been wanting to make a Z-fold card which is very popular at the moment, so here it is.

The size for the So Saffron base card (#108611) is 28cm x 15cm, and scored at 7cm and 14cm. Another piece is cut 28cm x4cm and also scored at 7cm and 14cm. This is for the piece attached at the bottom of the card. 2 pieces of Whisper White card (#106549) are cut 14.5cm x 6.5cm, 1 piece 14.5cm x 13.5cm, 1 piece 13.5 x 3.5cm and 2 pieces 6.5cm x 3.5cm. The So Saffron DSP from the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack (#138437) was cut 14cm x 6cm and 14cm x 13cm.
The sentiment, bird, leaves and small flowers are all stamped using the Best Birds stamp set (#p141525). The other flowers are from the Flower Shop stamp set (#c130942, #w130939) and Petite Petals stamp set (#c133155, #w133152). The inks used are Crushed Curry (#131173) for the sentiment, the bird and the Petite Petals flowers. The other flowers were stamped using Rose Red ink (#126954) and for the leaves I used Crumb Cake (#126975). Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the bird and larger flowers. Mini Glue Dots (#103683) were used for the other flowers. I added the smallest of the Pearl Basic Jewels (#119247) to the birds eye, and White Perfect Accents (#138416) for the flower centres. The punch used to cut the Flower Shop flowers is the Pansy Punch (#130698) and the Petite Petals punch (#133322) was used to punch the Petite Petals flowers. The bird and small flowers are cut using the Birds & Blooms Thinlits (#141477). I also added some glitter to the wings of the bird and the Crushed Curry flowers using the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897).

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
