Splendid Day suite

Hi,

This will be my last blog for the year so I wish you all a very Merry Christmas & best wishes for 2023. I will be back early in the New Year with new & exciting products from the new Mini catalogue.

I am starting to go through some of the products that will be retiring on 4th January when the current Mini Catalogue retires. The Splendid Day Suite (#159681) is one of those retiring so thought I would make todays card with these products.

The DSP on the background is from the Splendid Day 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#159666). The green strip attached to the DSP is from the Brushstroke 12”x12” Specialty Paper (#159250). I cut the Pearlescent 12”x12” Specialty Paper (#154291) with a Scalloped Contours Die (#155560).

I stamped the leaves from the Splendid Thoughts stamp set (#159668) onto the Blushing Bride & Soft Succulent Brushstrokes Specialty Paper using Blushing Bride ink (#147100) and Soft Succulent ink (#155778) All the leaves were cut with the Splendid Stems Dies (#159676). I used the Rose Gold Specialty paper (#159139) for the fine leaves at the top right of the card.

The 3 sets of  “leaves” behind the sentiment are the Open Leaf Trinkets (#159967) and these were attached using Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The sentiment is from the Splendid Thoughts stamp set and stamped with Soft Succulent ink and a die from the Splendid Stems was used to cut this. Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) were used to attach this to the card.

Splendid Day

The Splendid Day Suite (#159681) is a beautiful set which I have neglected a bit lately, so here is an easy card using some of this suite.

The beautiful Splendid Day 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#159666) was attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). Sending Hugs is from the Splendid Thoughts stamp set (#159668) and stamped with Mint Macaron ink (#147106). This was cut with a Splendid Stems Die (#159676).

The Stitched Greenery Die (#155451) was used to achieve the stitched leaves on the Mint Macaron card (#138344). 

I cut the leaf with another die from Splendid Stems using Rose Gold 12”x12” Specialty Paper (#159139). As usual for more detailed or fine detail I have Adhesive Sheet (#152334) adhered to the back of the card before cutting with dies. This makes it easy to attach to the card. A border die from the Fresh Cut Stems dies (#160251) was used to cut the Rose Gold detailed border which I attached to the Mint Macaron card. This was then attached to the card. The sentiment was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#158130) were added to the card.

Splendid Day Suite

Hello again friends,

There are many advantages of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator and one is getting together with people from different countries around the world. We did this a few weeks ago, although virtually, but better than nothing. On this occasion we had hours of stamping fun together using the Splendid Day Suite (#159681). Here are my versions of 2 of the cards.

For the first card, Basic White (#159228) is the base card. I dry embossed the Soft Sea Foam card (#147012) with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (#154317). The beautiful Splendid Day 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#159666) was attached to the embossed card. 

I used Blending Brushes (#153611) to add Fresh Freesia ink (#155611) and Soft Sea Foam ink (#147102) to the Basic White card. I stamped the bees with the same coloured inks. This was attached to the cardfront, then I wrapped the Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon (#159680) around this.

“Let’s Celebrate” from the Splendid Thoughts stamp set (#159668) was stamped with Fresh Freesia ink and cut with a Splendid Stems Die (#159676). The fine leaves were cut from Soft Sea Foam card backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334) with Splendid Stems Dies.

Of course for the 2nd card, the same stamp set, dies and designer paper were used. The card front is Calypso Coral (#124392) and dry embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder (#149643). Petal Pink card (#147009) was used for the stamped leaf on the left. Both leaves were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The Fine Sparkle Adhesive Backed Gems (#159967) were added to the card.
