Field Flowers

Hi

I went to a friends card class yesterday, and this is one of the cards we made. You can check out her beautiful creations at www.lynwebb.stampinup.net

The card stock used for this card are Crumb Cake, Primrose Petals and Very Vanilla. The words and splatters from French Foliage were used on the background, using Crumb Cake ink, as well as on the Very Vanilla inside the frame. this frame was embossed using the Designer Frames folder and cut by hand. I sponged all the edges with Crumb Cake ink.
The flowers and leaves are from the stamp set Field Flowers. The flowers are stamped with Early Espresso and Primrose Petals. I then used the blender pen to add some extra colour to the flowers. Always Artichoke was the ink used for the leaves, then sponged with crumb cake. To make the Always Artichoke more subtle, I stamped onto scrap paper first then onto the card.
I punched the scalloped edge with the Scallop Edge Border punch, then taped the Crumb Cake Seam Binding before attaching to the card.
The Modern Label punch was used for the top embellishment with a Antique brad, with another brad on the bow.
The leaves and stalks were hand cut then glued to the card. The frame, flowers and embellishments were attached with Dimensionals.

Flowering Flourishes

Hi
I have been enjoying using the colour coach once again to choose the colours for today's card. One of the colour combinations suggested for Pacific Point included Daffodil Delight and Rich Razzleberry, so here it is.

These lovely bright colours look great together. I stamped the Flowering Flourish with versa mark and embossed with White embossing powder.
The scalloped edges were punched with the Scallop Trim border and corner punches. The ribbons are the 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain which fitted nicely through the scallops to attach to the back of the card stock. The smallest of the Daydream Medallions stamp and co- ordinating Floral Frames Framelits were used for the embellishment with the button. The button is from the Sycamore Street designer buttons from Saleabration and attached with a Glue dot. The sentiment is from the Petite Pairs stamp set and punched with the Modern Label punch and sponged the edges with Rich Razzleberry ink.

Countryside Happy Birthday

Hello
The Countryside stamp set is one that I love to use for a masculine card.

I combined Basic Black, Daffodil Delight and Gumball Green for this card. The Gumball Green base card was embossed with the Big Shot and Chevron Folder.
The ovals are from the Ovals Collection Framelits and the sentiment was cut with Hearts a Flutter Framelits. The Happy Birthday is from the stamp set Made for You. Basic Glimmer Brads were added to the tag and ovals. The tag was attached with Dimensionals.

Postage Stamp punch

Hi

I chose Daffodil Delight from the Designer Series Paper Stack for today's card, then consulting the colour coach I chose Cherry Cobbler from the Creative Combination suggestions. They do look great together and probably wouldn't have selected these 2 colours myself for a card.

I punched Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler with the Postage Stamp punch. I embossed the Whisper white with the Perfect Polka Dots folder and the Cherry Cobbler with the Argyle folder. The flowers are from the Language of Friendship and punched with Boho Blossoms. The butterflies are from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and punched with the Bitty Butterfly. Pearls were added to the flower centres and butterfly bodies. Happy Birthday is from Fabulous Phrases and punched with Word Window. Because this punch is larger than what I wanted for these words, after punching the first time, I then put it in the punch again to cut a second time to get the correct size as shown below.

I cut a piece of daffodil delight for the bottom of the card using the Finishing Touches Edgelits and taped to the back of the DSP before attaching to the card. The ribbon is Daffodil Delight Stitched Grosgrain.
The butterflies, flowers and sentiment were all attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Trifold card

Hello

I was asked to make a card for a 70th birthday, and I often make this tri-fold card for special occasions.

I have used a retired DSP and retired Poppy Parade card stock but I love this DSP so decided to use it (and red is her favorite colour.)

To make the card, take a full A4 piece of card. I used Shimmery White. On the longer side score at 9.9cm each end. Also score at 5cm from each end but only score down to 5cm from the top and from 5cm from the bottom. Now cut along the long side between these score lines.
Fold as shown below.

I cut the DSP slightly smaller than each of the surfaces and attached them. At the top and bottom of the 3 pieces of Shimmery White I added the Scallop Border punched from Poppy Parade card. The Butterflies and flowers were stamped with versamark and Poppy Parade ink, then sprinkled with Iridescent Ice embossing powder and set with the Heat tool, to give a lovely glitter. The butterflies inside the card are stamped the same except onto vellum card. All butterflies were punched with Elegant Butterfly punch.
The stamp set for The Happy Birthday is Curly Cute. I stamped this with versa mark and poppy parade ink, Then used clear embossing powder and set with the heat tool. I added pearls to the butterflies and flower centres.

Stampin' Up supplies used:

Shimmery White card stock - # 121717 p 160
DSP and Poppy Parade card and ink - retired
Versa Mark - 102283 - p 159
Papillon Potpourri stamp set - # 123759 - p 115
Language of Friendship stamp set - # 122752 - p 74
Curly Cute stamp set - # 120510 - p 144
Scallop Trim border punch- # 118402 - p 183
Elegant Butterfly punch - 127526 - p 184

Pearl basic jewels - # 119247 - p 175
Iridescent Ice embossing powder - # 101930 - p 159
Heat tool - # 129056 - p 159
Stampin' Dimensionals - # 104430 - p 177
Snail Adhesive - # 104332 - p 177

Adorning Accents Edgelits and Print Poetry DSP

Hi

You may have noticed that I like the Print Poetry DSP Stack ( and Butterflies) as I have used them in many of my cards. The colours of the DSP co-ordinate with the current In Colours and the designs are beautiful, so here is my latest card.

The base card is Very Vanilla and the bottom scallops were cut using the Adorning Accents Edgelits. I then embossed with the Needlepoint Border folder. I added a piece of Midnight Muse card under the scallops. I then pierced using the Essentials Paper Piercing pack and tool above and below the scallops. The DSP was mounted onto another piece of Midnight Muse which has been punched with the Scallop Trim Border along the top.
The flower is from the Button Buddies, the ink is Midnight Muse. The punch used is the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle. I added an Antique Brad to the centre and attached the flower to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Itty Bitty Banners and Framelit were used for the Happy Birthday. It was then mounted on a slightly larger piece of Midnight Muse and the ends cut by hand to match. A little butterfly was stamped and punched from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set and Bitty Butterfly punch. Pearls were added to the body of the butterfly.

Print Poetry DSP and Language of Friendship

Hello

A nice colourful card today using Raspberry Ripple and the Print Poetry DSP paper stack. I folded the right top corner of the DSP to reveal a small amount of the reverse side and added some flowers from the Language of Frienship.

The inks used are Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple to co-ordinate with the papers. "Especially from You" is from the Made for You stamp set and the Four Frames stamp set was used to surround this, before punching with the co-ordinating Decorative Label punch. For the flower on the left, the Champagne Glimmer Paper was punched with the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle, the middle layer was cut with the smallest of the Floral Frames Framelits and the top layer was the larger flower from the Language of Friendship and punched with the Boho Blossoms Punch. Pearls were added to each of the flower centres.

Hearts a Flutter

Hello friends

I made a quick card today before picking up the grandsons and looking after them tonight.

I selected Naturals Ivory for the base card as well as for the tags from Hearts a Flutter that I stamped the words on. They are from the Fabulous Phrases stamp set. I also used Gumball Green under Midnight Muse card. The Honeycomb Embossing folder was used on the Midnight Muse card. I cut Print Poetry DSP Paper Stack using another tag from Hearts a Flutter Framelits and sponged around the edges with Midnight Muse ink. The ribbon is the Stitched Satin ribbon also in Midnight Muse. I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Build a Blossom Flower

Hello

Island Indigo and Whisper White are the colours used on this card.

The Whisper White card was embossed with the Lacy Brocade textured impressions embossing folder, then sponged around the edges with Island Indigo ink. The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch cut the 2 strips of Island Indigo card which was taped to the bottom of the Whisper White, and pearls where added to the bottom piece.
The flower was made by stamping a Build a Blossom petal with versa mark onto Island Indigo card, sprinkling with White embossing powder and set with the heat tool. These were then punched with the Blossom Petals Builder. I punched a 1-3/8" circle as a base to glue the petals to assemble the flower. After the petals were glued I punched and attached the larger flower from the Boho Blossoms, then the smaller one on top. I added pearls to this. I shaped the petals with a bone folder then attached the flower to the card using a double layer of Stampin' Dimensionals.
The Happy Birthday is from the stamp set Made for You and the Hearts a Flutter Framelits dies cut the tags. Another pearl was added to the tag.

Flowering Flourishes and Embossing Folders

Hello

It's been a busy week and I have also been away for a few relaxing days so now I'm home it's time to get into making more cards, so here is today's card.

The colours I used are Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White, and the DSP is from the Polka Dot Parade. The first thing I did on the Whisper White was stamped the image using the Flowering Flourishes stamp set. Apply Versa Mark to the stamp, then Rich Razzleberry ink. Stamp this onto the card and sprinkle clear embossing powder over the image, remove the excess and set with the heat tool. Next I cut the bottom of the Whisper White using the Large Scallop Egdelits, then embossed using the Delicate Designs Folder. The top part of this was then embossed with the Fancy Fan folder. I sponged around the edge with Rich Razzleberry ink. I then attached the DSP and the Raspberry Ripple Stitched Grosgrain ribbon. This was then taped to the base card. The Happy Birthday is from the Itty Bitty Banners Stamp set and cut using the Bitty Banners Framelits and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Two by two baby card

Hello

The cute little stamp Two by Two is used for this baby boy card.

The base card is Bashful Blue (although doesn't look like it in the photo). The size of this is 21cm x 10.5 cm and scored at 7.5cm on the long edge. The smaller flap was embossed with the Fancy Fan folder.
Inside is a piece of Midnight Muse cut to 12.5 x 9.5cm and attached to the base card. Then I used Marina Mist which is cut to 8.5 x 21cm and scored at 11.5 cm. the larger pice is attached to the Midnight Muse as shown below.

It's a Boy is stamped with versa mark onto Bashful Blue card and embossed with gold embossing powder, using the heat tool to set it. This was then punched with the Decorative Label, and attached to a piece of Midnight Muse 6.3 x 4.5 cm. I added 2 Bitty Buttons to the flower shape from the Itty Bitty Shapes punch pack using crystal effects. These flowers were punched from the Midnight Muse card. To attach the Midnight Muse use Stampin' Dimensionals only on the left hand side so that the flap with the Congratulations on it can be tucked under.
The Two by Two stamp was stamped with versa mark and gold embossed.
I sponged around this Marina Mist card as well as the decorative label punch using Marina Mist ink.

Delicate Designs Folders

Hello

As I started making today's card it brought back memories of a blouse I had when I was a young girl. The blouse had layers of lace very similar to scalloped embossing folder from the Delicate Designs folder. I loved that blouse.

I cut the scallops with the large Scallop Edgelits, before embossing with the Delicate Designs Folder on Primrose Petals card. I then cut another 2 in Very Vanilla and another in Primrose Petals and layered them on the card. I stamped the sentiments with Primrose Petals ink. The punch used for Thinking of You is the decorative label and the stamp set is Sassy Salutations. Happy Birthday stamp set is from the Itty Bitty Banners and cut using the Bitty Banners Framelits.
The Papillon Butterfly is also using Primrose Petals ink and punched with the Bitty Butterfly. The butterflies and sentiments are attached using Dimensionals.
I added a small piece of Very Vanilla at the bottom of the card. This was attached to the back of the scallops.

Floral Frames Framelits

Hello

I have used the largest of the Floral Frames Framelits to make this card.

I folded the card and placed the Framelits so that the top part doesn't cut the card, then put it through the big shot. You can see the top of the card has a straight piece which is where it hinges.

The base card and top layer is Very Vanilla, and the middle layer is from the Print Poetry DSP Stack. These 3 pieces are cut from the Floral Frames Framelits. I sponged with Midnight Muse around the edges of the Very Vanilla cards. The sentiment is stamped with Midnight Muse and the stamp is from Wonderful Mother stamp set. The Papillon Potpourri butterflies are stamped with Crumb Cake and punched with the Bitty Butterfly punch. A Stitched Satin Ribbon bow was added to the bottom and the card was finished with Pearls. A very easy card but looks great.

Digital scrap page

Hello

Today I have been playing with MDS, and this is my first attempt at a scrapbook page.
I am not going to go through each step as it's getting late, but it's all about experimenting with all the elements and it is quite easy. If you don't like it, it's easy to remove. Looking forward to doing a lot more with the MDS.
I also made a card for a surprise party invitation but cant show that yet for obvious reasons.it was quite easy to do too.
You can get a free 30 day trial and play with this yourself. Just go to my website at www.lesleyjendra.stampinup.net and it can be downloaded from there. Let me know what you think of it.

Thought for the day:

Dream your dreams with open eyes and make them come true.

Till next time
Happy Stamping
Lesley.
