Open Sea

Hello,

The Open Sea stamp set (#123032) is of course a great one for a masculine card.

I thought a bit of distressing on this card was appropriate. The Stampin' Distress Tool (#127562) was used to do this. I used Baked Brown Sugar (#131301) for the base card. Other card colours are Early Espresso (#121686) and Very Vanilla (#106550). The inks used are Early Espresso (#126974) and Crumb Cake (#126975). The ship was heat embossed. If you don't have the correct colour embossing powder, just use Versamark (#102283) on the image, then colour the image with the colour you want (I used Early Espresso), then stamp the image on the card. Sprinkle with Clear embossing powder (#109130) and heat set with the Heat Tool (#129056). If you have the new ink pads, they are much "juicer" and you can just stamp the image with the ink (no versa mark needed) and add the clear embossing powder and heat as usual.
I hand cut the ship and anchor. The Circle Collection Framelits (#130911) and the Modern Label punch have been used. Happy Birthday Wishes is from the Petite Pairs stamp set (#122497).
Another tool which I find invaluable is the Stamp-a-ma-jig (#101049). I used this to place the compass image on the card. This helps you position your image exactly where you want it. I couldn't live without my Stamp-a-ma-jig!!!

Thanks for checking out my blog,
Till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊
Lesley.
