I have done the "double layering" effect on this card. I often stamp on the 3 layers but decided just to stamp the sentiment on the 3rd layer today.

This is really easy to do and to have your images lined up. Firstly cut out all your card to the required sizes. I used Whisper White (#106549) and Bermuda Bay (#131286). Putting the pieces of White card into position without the coloured card, (best to use a temporary tape or glue for this so the card doesn't move), and stamp as required. I used Crumb Cake ink (#126975) with the Flowering Flourishes stamp set (#c126367, #w131998). Then I added the coloured card and taped these back into place. You will notice when you stamp your images on the White card there may be a small area that doesn't stamp around the edges, but the coloured card hides that once it is assembled.
Happy Birthday is stamped with Bermuda Bay ink (#131171) and I used the Sassy Salutations stamp set (#c126707, #w132070). The flower is from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set (#c134282, #w134279) and punched with the Fun Flower punch (#133785). I used one of the Antique Brads (#117273) for the flower, and as usual, used Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the flower to the card.
Thanks for visiting and hope you will check in again soon.
Till then,
😊Happy Stamping😊

Very effective. I like the top layer not being overlapped, but clear and free, especially as it is a sentiment.
