Butterflies Thinlits Dies

Hello,

As you probably know, I love butterflies so have to stop myself making most cards with them. However the Butterflies Thinlits Dies (#137360) from the Occasions catalogue are irresistible. There are 3 butterflies in this set and the one I used on this card is the middle size one.

The cardstock is Whisper White (#106549) and Elegant Eggplant (#108614) with the beautiful Something Borrowed DSP (#137785) for the background, which is also in the Occasions catalogue. The punches I used are Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border (#119275), Postage Stamp (#122344), Label Bracket (#132153) and Modern Label (#119849). Whisper White Organza Ribbon (#114319) has been used under the sentiment. This was taped to a piece of Elegant Eggplant which I cut using the Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (#129410). To add a bit of bling to the card I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246). Happy Birthday is from the Bloom with Hope stamp set (#c133952, #133949) and stamped with Elegant Eggplant ink (#126969). I attached the butterfly with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). These were placed just under the body of the butterfly.

Today's tip-
When cutting with these Butterfly dies you may achieve better results by rolling through the Big Shot 2 or 3 times, especially on thicker card like Glimmer Paper. Also use a waxed paper between the Cardstock and Thinlits dies when there are more delicate designs such as these butterflies.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
