Have I mentioned (once or twice, or quite often) that I love butterflies? So of course I just can't resist this Butterfly Basics Bundle (#c139323, w139322, #p138865) which includes the stamp set and Butterfly Thinlits dies with a saving of 15%.
Side on view to show the layers-
The base card is Whisper White (#106549) and I have used 4 different layers for the butterfly using Melon Mambo (#126948) for the bottom layer, then Blushing Bride (#131287), followed by Pink Pirouette (#116203) and White Vellum (#106584) on the top. Each layer was put together with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) were added to the body of the butterfly. All the images stamped are from the Butterfly Basics stamp set (#c138816, #w138813, #p137154). I inked the flower and leaves with Pear Pizzaz (#131180). I then removed the ink from the larger flower using a blender pen (#102845) then added the Melon Mambo with a Stampin' Write Marker from the Brights collection (#131259) before stamping the image. Melon Mambo (#126948) and Pink Pirouette (#126956) were used to sponge the edges. Pink Pirouette was also used for the beehive pattern under the butterfly.
Today's tip.
Another method for applying 2 or more colours on one image is to use Stampin' Write Markers for each area. Sometimes this can take time and the first colours applied may start to dry. To re-activate the inks, just "huff" on the stamp and stamp as normal.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
