Yes, I do love framelits and these Window Box Thinlits Dies (#142762) certainly don't disappoint. They make these beautiful boxes, and you can also use the framelits for your cards. I love it when a product has more than one use. I have made several of these boxes today in various colours.
You need to cut 2 of the pieces that make the box. Then I used the framelit to cut the design on the top and the smaller framelits with the hearts for the sides. On the piece you will use for the bottom of the box, cut off the tabs on the side of the box as you can see below.
You probably noticed that the hearts on the bottom piece look like they are upside down. They need to be cut this way on one piece so when the box is put together they will be all up the correct way. There are also candle cutouts in this set and you need to do the same with them.
Next you need to fold all the scored lines, then attach the tab on the bottom of the box to the piece from the top as shown below.
Attach tape to the tabs, and assemble box. I used Tape and Tear Tape (#138995) as this is a strong adhesive and great for boxes and other 3D projects.
I then cut contrasting coloured card and attached to the inside of the box so you can see the colour through the design. The boxes in the first photo are Pacific Point (#116202) with Real Red (#106578) and Bermuda Bay (#131286) with Calypso Coral (#124392).
Inside the lid I added this verse that a friend gave to me. I will fill the box with each of the items ready to give to my friends.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
