Faux Patina card

Hello to all

Today I went to a card class at my friend Susan's,( check out Susan's Saga) this was one of the beautiful cards we made using the Faux Patina technique.

To do this technique, we embossed crumb cake for the background. Then a smaller piece was embossed, but to do this, Crumb Cake ink was rubbed over the embossing folder. Make sure to ink the inside of the front of the embossing folder as this gives to colour to the de-embossed areas. Then we used Midnight Muse and sponged over the embossed area. Next we sponged Always Artichoke followed by Early Espresso ink. Next we used the embossing buddy and dabbed over the inked card. This was followed by randomly adding versa mark over the embossed area. Gold embossing powder was added, then heat set to give a beautiful patina look.
Always Artichoke was used with the Crumb Cake card.

Thought of the day -

Must go as I have lots of cards to make, so till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊

  1. It's always good to get together with you and craft, Lesley. You sure made a beautiful card. I love that faux patina look. And I forgot to put the bit about inking the embossing folder on my Facebook instructions! off to do that now...have a good day.
