Todays card shows a technique which I'm not sure what its called, but gives a nice effect to the stamping.
To stamp the Postage Due image (#c126397, #w132064), I used a couple of sheets of baby wipes, then using the ink refills, I randomly added ink to the baby wipes to cover an area large enough for the stamp. I used Crumb Cake re-inker (#121029) and Island Indigo (#122932). You can reuse this and each time you stamp it, it will be a bit different. When you normally ink your stamps you usually pat the stamp several times on the ink pad. With this method, just pat onto the inked wipes once. However you might like to experiment and get some really great effects.
The card stock is Cherry Cobbler (#121681), Island Indigo (#124390) and Very Vanilla (#106550). I used the Woodgrain embossing folder (#127821) on the Island Indigo card. Thank You is from the Sassy Salutations stamp set (#c126707, #w132070, using Island Indigo ink (#126986) and I punched this with the Decorative Label punch (#120907).
I hope you try this method as its so much fun. You can use more colours for some great effects. If you don't have baby wipes you can use kitchen paper with the same results. You can put these aside for use at another time. Just spray with water to re-moisten and re-use.
Hope you are all staying dry and safe. We've had an enormous amount of rain today with lots of thunder and lightning.
Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
