I am always thinking ahead when making cards, so when I was making yesterdays card I had a thought about a variation of the Merriest Trees stamp set (#162043). I wondered how heat embossing would work on the shimmer paper and yes it worked beautifully.
I used the Pretty Peacock from the Soft Shimmer 12”x12” Paper Combo Pack (#161750) and stamped the image from the Merriest Trees stamp set with VersaMark (#102283). I then added the Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555) and set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). The tree was cut with the Merriest Trees dies (#162047).
For the background I used the Winter Meadow 12”x12” Designer Series Paper (#162133). I used a small strip of the Lost Lagoon from the Soft Shimmer Paper Pack and dry embossed this with a die from the Autumn Leaves dies (#162185) and attached this to the card between the 2 designs of DSP. The edges of the card front were daubered with Pretty Peacock ink (#150083) then attached to the Basic White base card.
The sentiment from the same stamp set was also Gold embossed then cut with Deckled Rectangles dies (#159173). The tree and sentiment were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and the card was finished by adding the Blooming Pearls (#162238).
