Bouquet Of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder

Hi,

With Valentine’s Day coming up next week, this card could be used for that occasion as well as an Anniversary card.

The Bouquet Of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder (#157641) includes the folder as well as dies. The largest of the heart dies fits into the embossing folder, so it cuts the heart at the same time as it embosses the rest of the card. You can use the folder without the die or you can use the die separately so it’s a very versatile set. To make this card I embossed the Basic White card (#159228) with the embossing folder only. Then I used Real Red card (#106578) in the embossing folder with the heart die. I only used the embossed heart from the red card and attached it over the heart of the white card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). I matted this with Real Red card, then wrapped the Real Red Double Stitched Satin Ribbon (#151155) around the card front. The base card is also Basic White.

I cut the small hearts from the Sweet Heart Dies (#157623). I added the Shimmery Crystals Effects (#150892) to the hearts for a shimmery glossy effect. These were attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

“Happy Anniversary” is from A Wish For Everything stamp set (#149320) and stamped with Real Red ink (#147084). This was cut with the Messages die (#154422) and attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Symbols Of Fortune Specialty Designer Series Paper

The Symbols Of Fortune 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#157652) has a beautiful range of designs including Gold foil. I have used 2 of the designs on this card.

I cut the designer paper with the crane using a hexagon die from the Beautiful Shapes Dies (#158046). Then I cut the Evening Evergreen card (#155575) with the larger hexagon and used this to matt the DSP. This was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to the Gold/gray DSP which was cut with a die from the Nature’s Thoughts (#153586). I used Soft Succulent card (#155777) and Evening Evergreen card on the Basic White base card (#159228).

The small Evening Evergreen hexagons were cut with dies also from the Beautiful Shapes Dies. The sentiment is from the Blessings Of Home stamp set (#157930) and stamped with Evening Evergreen ink (#155576). I used the Messages die (#154422) to cut the sentiment, then attached it to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108)

TIP: The Messages die co-ordinates with 2 stamp sets - Many Happenings (#155001) and Many Messages (#154510). Both these sets have a great range of sentiments. However you can also use sentiments from other stamp sets (which I have done on this card), and find the perfect cut out to suit that particular sentiment, so it’s a very versatile die.

True Love Designer Series paper

Sorry for my absence lately but have had a lot on. I am taking a bit of a break over the next few weeks, but hope to get the occasional card made to put on the blog.

I am still loving the True Love Designer Series Paper (#154281) which I have used again on todays card.

The Stampin’ Blends to colour the floral image are- Flirty Flamingo (#154884), Pale Papaya (#155519), Purple Posy (#154896), So Saffron (#154905) and Granny Apple Green (#154885).

The card front was stamped with a border from the Elegantly Said stamp set (#155095) using Basic Gray ink (#149165). Using the Stamparatus (#148187) made it easy to stamp the border. The Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon (#144213) was wrapped around the card front, then the card front was attached to the Basic Gray card (#121689). The base card and card front are Basic White (#159228).

The sentiment from the Many Messages stamp (#154510) was stamped with Basic Gray ink and cut with the co-ordinating Messages Die (#154422). The sentiment and flowers were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and I added the Silver Raindrops from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials (#155567).

Stitched With Whimsy Dies

The stitching on the Basic White card (#159228) and the Bermuda Bay card (#131286) is achieved with the Stitched With Whimsy Dies (#155314).

However these dies don’t actually cut, they only do the stitching. As I wanted to cut the card parallel to the stitching, rather than just a rectangular card, I lightly marked around the outside of die onto the card with a pencil, then cut the pieces, then used the die to do the stitching. 

I stamped the butterflies from the Floating & Fluttering stamp set (#154424) onto the White “stitched” card, using the Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). I coloured the images with a variety of Stampin’ Blends - Calypso Coral (#154881), Daffodil Delight (#154883), Mango Melody (#154888), Bermuda Bay (#154878), Pool Party (#154894), Night Of Navy (#154891) and Granny Apple Green (#154885).

After colouring, I cut the butterfly image with a Fluttering Die (#154318). These are cut in one piece with the one die. I attached the Bermuda Bay card & Basic White card to the Basic White base card, then attached the cut out butterflies with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) above where I had cut them out.

“Birthday Wishes” is from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set (#149346) and stamped with Bermuda Bay ink (#147096). I used the Messages Die (#154422) to cut the sentiment and this was also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Lastly I added the Flowers For Every Season Gems (#153645) to the body of one butterfly and to the card.
