Spotlight On Nature

Hello,

The Spotlight On Nature Bundle (#163581) consists of the Spotlight On Nature stamp set (#163579) and Spotlight On Nature dies (#163580). The dies consist of 12 circular dies with various designs around the outside. These dies are so versatile as they don't co-ordinate with the images in the stamp set but can be used for a large range of images, designer papers etc.

I stamped the floral image and the butterfly with Smoky Slate ink (#147113). I usually use black ink but I wanted a more subtle colour for this card. I coloured the images with Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends (#155518) and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends (#161682). The butterfly was fussy cut and I used the Spotlight On Nature dies to cut the flowers and the Fresh Freesia card (#155614).

The base card is from the Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes (#162177). I attached the Fresh Freesia circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and taped the flowers on top. The butterfly was attached with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I used Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) on the flowers, leaves & butterfly for some glimmer. I then flicked the Clear Wink of Stella over the whole card for extra sparkle. The embellishments are from the Purple Adhesive-Backed Sequins (#164970) which is one of the free Sale-a-bration products available from 7th January with a qualifying order ($100 in Australia).

I chose not to add a sentiment on this card. I will do it when I decide what I want the card for.

Spotlight On Nature Bundle

Hi everyone,

The Spotlight On Nature Bundle (#163581) consists of the Spotlight On Nature stamp set (#163579) and the Spotlight On Nature dies (#163580). The dies are all circles so doesn't actually cut around the stamped image. However this makes the dies very versatile as they can be used for a variety of images.

I dry embossed the Basic White card front (#159228) with the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder (#163789). I then used a Blending Brush (#153611) with Summer Splash ink (#163809) and lightly coloured the embossed dots.

The floral image from the stamp set was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). I coloured the flowers with Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends (#163810) and the leaves with Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends (#163826). The splotches, also from the stamp set, were stamped with Peach Pie inked which was stamped off for a lighter colour. The stamped image and the Summer Splash card (#163798) were cut with the Spotlight On Nature dies. These were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

“Feel Better Soon” is from the Unbounded Love stamp set (#163378) and stamped with Summer Splash ink. A Little Happy Things die (#163709) was used to cut the sentiment.

I flicked Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) over the whole card, then I used it on each of the dots from the embossing.

Spotlight On Nature

Hi friends,

It isn't very often that I make a card without embossing or dies etc, so thought I would do a simple one today and just added some colouring with Stampin’ Blends.

I stamped the background on the left with a stamp from the Textured Timber stamp set (#163656) using Basic Beige ink (#163806). The flower and butterfly from the Spotlight On Nature stamp set (#163579) were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The Stampin’ Blends to colour these are Poppy Parade (#154958), Summer Splash (#163826) and Daffodil Delight (#154883).

The sentiment from the Everyday Details stamp set (#162861) was stamped with Poppy Parade ink (#147050). I also stamped the crosshatch image from the Spotlight On Nature with Daffodil Delight ink (#147094) onto the background.

I matted the card front with Basic Black card (#121688) and Poppy Parade card (#121694), then this was attached to the Basic White card (#159228).

Spotlight On Nature Bundle

Hello my friends,

The Spotlight On Nature Bundle (#163581) is already one of my favourites from the new upcoming Annual Catalogue.

I stamped the floral image from the Spotlight On Nature stamp set (#163579) using VersaMark (#102283) and adding Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555). This of course needs to be set with the Heat Tool (#129056). This stamped image and the Peach Pie card (#163800) were cut with the Spotlight On Nature dies (#163580). I also stamped the splotches from the same stamp set using Peach Pie ink (#163810) using the stamping off method to achieve a lighter colour. The flowers were coloured with Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends (#163827) and the leaves with Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends (#163826).

The Basic White card front (#159228) was dry embossed with the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder (#163789). This works beautifully with these circle dies. The edges of the card front were daubered with Peach Pie ink then attached to the Basic White base card. The larger circle was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

“Happy Birthday” from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) was stamped with Peach Pie ink and cut with a die from the Wild Ferns dies (#162654). The gold ribbon under the sentiment is from the Silver & Gold 1/8” Trim Combo Pack (#161633). The sentiment was attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).
