I was asked recently how I come up with designs for my cards. As we all do, we get ideas from others, but I often just pick out some colours, often with the help of the colour coach, then look at a stamp set and try to design something from that. Sometimes it doesn't work and I change completely and other times it just comes together very easily. So here is today's card that I had no idea what I wanted to do but it came together fairly quickly. It's very simple and easy to make.
The colours used are Cajun Craze, Old Olive, So Saffron and Very Vanilla.
I used the Very Vintage Wheel and Old Olive ink on the Old Olive card. I tore the edge and sponged around the edge with Old Olive ink. On the So Saffron card I sponged with More Mustard. The watch was stamped with Cajun Craze and used the Stamp-a-Ma-jig to ensure all the stamps were stamped correctly. Another very useful tool which I couldn't stamp without!! This piece of card was then embossed with the Stripes folder.
Happy Birthday is from Fabulous Phrases and punched with the Postage Stamp punch. The tag from Hearts a Flutter Framelits cut the Cajun Craze tag. The brads are from the Vintage Trinkets.
