Hello Stampers,
I used the masking technique for the background for today's Christmas Card.
For this technique, stamp the image on your card stock. I used the Joyful Christmas stamp set (#131805). Then stamp it again on a piece of note or scrap paper. Using Post- it note paper ensures your mask stays in place. If using scrap paper you can use a temporary tape to position the mask. Cut around the image and this is your mask. Place the mask over the image on the card stock. Stamp another image on the card stock. Repeat as required. Because I used the Iridescent Ice embossing powder (#101930) and versamark (#102283),I heat set each image before stamping the next. I needed 3 masks for this card so the images didn't overlap.
I then embossed another piece of Whisper White card (#106549) using Versa Mark and Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder (#122949), again with the flower from Joyful Christmas, then fussy cut and attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#119246) to the flower centre.
"Merry" is from the Expressions Thinlits Dies (#132171) from the Holiday Catalogue. "Christmas" is from the Teeny Tiny Sentiments (#120024), but as I didn't want "merry" from this stamp I inked only "Christmas" with the Cherry Cobbler marker (#119681). The Word Window punch (#119857) was used to punch this.
See below how to make the punched area smaller. Punch as normal, then place the punched card back into the punch to cut off the unwanted end.
The card stock used for this card is Whisper White (#106549) and Cherry Cobbler (#121681).
Thought for the day-
Have a great day.
Till next time,
😊Happy Stamping😊
Lesley.
