Butterfly Beauty Sampler

Welcome friends,

I have used so many of my favourite products and colours in this sampler that I have made for a friend who has just moved into her new home. I think I will have to make another one for myself. I just need to put this into a frame.

The base is from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (#152494). The other cardstock I have used is Whisper White (#106549), Gorgeous Grape (#147011), Granny Apple Green (#147014), Vellum (#106584) and Brass Foil Sheets (#153057).

The stamp sets are Very Versailles (#c149275), A Little Lace (#c149364), Forever Fern (#152559), Free As A Bird (#c149468), Daisy Lane (#c149325), Positive Thoughts (#c151490) and Quite Curvy (#154430).

The inks used are Granny Apple Green (#147095), Gorgeous Grape (#147011), Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708) and VersaMark (#102283) with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109132).

The birds and floral images were coloured with Stampin’ Blends - Highland Heather (#154887), Purple Posy (#154896), Granny Apple Green (#154885), Crumb Cake (#154882) and Mango Melody (#154888).

The dies used were  Butterfly Beauty (#151819), Natures Thoughts (#153586), Forever Flourishing (#152714), Stitched Rectangles (#151820)  and Curvy Dies (#154319.

The punch for the Daisies is the Medium Daisy punch (#149517).

I used the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder (#151801) under the butterflies and the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder (#152725) under the birds. I used one of the Meadow Moments Embossing Folders (#153126) on the bottom left and right rectangles under the leaves.

I made the bow with the 3/8” Tricolor Ribbon (#149708) and the embellishments are the Gilded Gems (#152478). I added some sparkle using the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897) to the birds and flowers.

The adhesives used were the Adhesive Sheets (#152334), Mini Glue Dots (#103683), Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

Beauty Abounds

Hi friends,

I love some sparkle and shine on my cards, so was able to achieve this with the glimmer paper, ribbon, embellishments and Wink of Stella.

I stamped the floral image along the bottom of the Whisper White card front (#106549). This is from the Beauty Abounds stamp set (#c148726) and stamped with the Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The flowers and leaves were coloured with the following Stampin’ Blends - Granny Apple Green (#154885), Mango Melody (#154888), Magenta Madness (#153106), Highland Heather (#154887), Rich Razzleberry (#154898), Purple Posy (#154896) and Flirty Flamingo (#154884). I added the Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to the coloured flowers.  “Best Wishes” from the Borders Abound stamp set (#c152627) was also stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. I wrapped the 3/8” Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#147897) around the White card then attached this to the Magenta Madness card (#153085), then onto the Whisper White base card.

 The 2 layers of the butterfly were cut with the Butterfly Beauty die (#151819). There are 5 butterflies attached on the side dies and I just cut one of the butterflies. I used the Rainbow Glimmer Paper (#153056) for the base of the butterfly and Black Glitter Paper (#153518) for the top. I glued these together with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309) then attached it to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The flowers were also cut from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper and the centres from the Black Glitter Paper. The dies for the flowers are from the Cherry Blossoms (#151456). These were attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The trio of Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#144220) were added under the sentiment to finish the card.

Butterfly Beauty Dies

Hi everyone,

I was reminded recently of this technique using ink refills and Water Painters (#512298).

Using a variety of ink refills and a Water Painter, I randomly coloured a piece of the Shimmery White card (#121717) as shown above. (This photo is another piece I coloured as I didn’t photograph the piece before I cut it). Shimmery White card is perfect for watercolouring, so great for this technique. You can get more subtle colours by using more water when colouring. You can allow this to air dry or use the Heat Tool (#129056) for a quicker result. Once dried I cut the coloured card using the Butterfly Beauty base Die (#151819). Then the Brass Foil Sheet (#153057) was cut with the “outline” die from the same set. I had used the Adhesive Sheets (#152334) on the back of the foil sheets before cutting, which makes it so easy to adhere this more detailed die-cut piece. The Whisper White card front (#106549) was embossed with the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder (#153200). The butterflies were attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The sentiment is from the Blossoms In Bloom stamp set (#p152684) and stamped with Highland Heather ink (#147103). The die to cut the sentiment is one of the Stitched Rectangles Dies (#152323). This was attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The beautiful Gilded Gems (#152478) were added to finish the card.

Hand-Lettered Prose Dies

Hi again everyone,

“Happy” has been cut with the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies (#149550) which is one of the dies that will be retiring next week.

I cut the letters from the Seaside Spray card (#150889). Then I stamped the “Birthday Wishes” from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set (#c149346) using Blueberry Bushel ink (#147138). I then cleaned the stamp and re-stamped it with VersaMark (#102283) and sprinkled it with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109130) and set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). This needs to be stamped using the Stamparatus (#148187) without moving the stamp or the card. Then I embossed this card with the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder (#151503). I attached the cardfront to a piece of the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper (#149493) and this was attached to the Whisper White base card (#106549). The small inside of the letters were attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The butterflies were cut with the Butterfly Beauty Dies (#148536). Even though these dies are quite large with 5 butterflies attached to each other, it is easy to just cut one butterfly and use that if you don't want the whole image, which is what I have done here. I used the Noble Peacock Foil Sheet (#149495) in Blueberry Bushel for the base layer of the butterfly, and Silver Foil Sheet (#132178) for the top layer of the butterfly. I used the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309) to attach the 2 layers, and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) to attach the butterfly to the card. I finished the card by adding the Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#144220) to the card and one on the butterfly.

The retiring products here are the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies, Blueberry Bushel ink, Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper, Noble Peacock Foil Sheets and the Coastal Weave 3D Embossing Folder.

Butterfly Beauty Dies

Hi & welcome friends,

I was asked to design a card using the Butterfly Beauty Dies (#148536) with Night Of Navy, silver and white, so decided the double Z fold card would work well.

I cut the Night Of Navy card (#106577) 28cm x 21cm and scored on the long side at 7cm and 14 cm. The Designer Series Paper is from the Flowering Foils Specialty DSP (#152312). 2 pieces were cut 20cm x 6cm and the 3rd piece is 20 x 13cm. The size of the Whisper White card (#106549) is 23.5cm x 16cm and scored along the long side also at 7cm and 14cm. Notice that the larger piece is on the right for the base card and on the left for the Whisper White card. The butterflies were cut using the Butterfly Beauty dies and I used Night Of Navy card and Silver Foil Sheet (#132178). These were glued with the Fine-Tip Glue pen (#138309). Happy Birthday is from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set (#152729) and I stamped this with Night Of Navy ink (#147110). The circles were cut with the Layering Circles Dies (#141705) and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The stamped butterfly is from the Beauty Abounds stamp set (#c148726) and also stamped with Night Of Navy ink.

Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper

Hello,

The Designer Series Paper is the beautiful Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper (#152312) which is part of the 2nd release of Sale-A-Bration.

I brayered the DSP using Seaside Spray ink (#150889), Balmy Blue ink (#147007) and Blueberry Bushel ink (#146991). This was then attached to the Blueberry Bushel card (#147138) and then attached to the Whisper White base card (#106549). “Thanks” is from the Ornate Thanks Stamp set (#p149471) and stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink. I used a die from the Ornate Layers Dies (#152726) to cut the sentiment and attached this to a piece of Blueberry Bushel card which was cut with an Ornate Border Die (#152724). The butterflies are cut with a die from the Butterfly Beauty Dies (#148536) using Blueberry Bushel card and Whisper White card. Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) were used to attach the butterfly to the card, then I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#144220) to the butterfly and sentiment.

Pigment Sprinkles

Hi everyone,

I have just had a play with the Pigment Sprinkles (#149663). These are watercolour pigment crystals which you just mix with water. You only need to use a very small amount of crystals. There are 6 Stampin’ Up! colours which are Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and Melon Mambo.

I used the Gorgeous Grape pigment. I added a small amount of crystals and mixed with water on an acrylic block, then using an Aqua Painter (#103954) to colour the Watercolour Paper (#149612). This was the attached to a piece of Basic Black card (#121688). The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550). The Very Vanilla “Thank You” was cut with the Thank You Die (#146832) and I fussy cut the Basic Black card. The butterfly was cut from the Butterfly Beauty Dies (#148536) and I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#144220) to the body of the butterfly. The ribbon is Black 3/8” Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#147897).

Heirloom Frames & Dies & 3D Embossing Folder

Hello everyone,

The Heirloom Frames Dies & 3D Embossing Folders (#152325) include a rectangular frame and oval frame and both can be embossed with the co-ordinating embossing folders.

I cut this frame from Whisper White card (#106549). I stamped the image from the Beauty Abounds stamp set (#c148726) with VersaMark (#102283) and added the new Shimmer White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#149511) and heat set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). This was stamped on the Seaside Spray from the 2019-2021 In Color 6”x6” Designer Series Paper (#149617). The Seaside Spray base card (#150889) was embossed with the Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder (#151801). The frame was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The butterflies are cut with the Butterfly Beauty dies (#148536) from Blueberry Bushel card (#146991) and Sparkle Glimmer Paper (#146957). “Best Wishes” from Botanical Bliss stamp set (#c151284) was stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink (#147138). The labels were cut with the Stitched Nested Labels (#149638) and some Pearl Basic Jewels (#144219) were added to the greeting and butterfly.
