By The Dock masculine card

Welcome everyone,

Today’s masculine card is made with the By the Dock stamp set (#c151622) and the co-ordinating Dockside Dies (#151618).

The base card is Whisper White (#106549) and the Terra-Cotta Tile card (#150890) is the next layer, followed by the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (#152494). For the boat I dry embossed a piece of Whisper White card with the Subtle 3D embossing Folder (#151775), then stamped the boat with Gray Granite ink (#147118). I would normally stamp first but I wanted the stamped image not to be perfectly stamped for an old worn look which is what I achieved. The boat and oars were cut with the Dockside Dies. “Happy Birthday” is also from the By The Dock stamp set. I used the Tasteful Labels Dies (#152886) to cut the 3 labels for the sentiment. Gray Granite card (#147008) was used for the bottom label, Terra-cotta Tile card for the next label and Whisper White for the top label. I added the corners from the Antiqued Corners & Slides (#152471).

Stitched So Sweetly Dies

Welcome friends,

I have stamped the leaves on the Soft Sea Foam card (#147012) to create my own DSP. If you can’t find the right Designer Series Paper for your project you can easily make your own.

The leaves from the Free As A Bird stamp set (#149468) were stamped with Soft Sea Foam ink (#147102) onto the Soft Sea Foam card. The flowers are from the Forever Blossoms stamp set (#151457) and I used Merry Merlot ink (#147112). These were cut with the co-ordinating die from the Cherry Blossoms Dies (#151456). When putting the card together, the Garden Lane Designer Series Paper (#149488) was attached to the Whisper White card (#106549). The next layer is Mossy Meadow card (#133683), then the stamped Soft Sea Foam card. The sentiment from By The Dock stamp set (#151622) was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink (#147111) and this and the Mossy Meadow card were cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (#151690). The Mossy Meadow card was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). Mossy Meadow Linen Thread from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack (#149485) was attached behind the flowers and Stampin’ Dimensionals also attached the flowers to the card. Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#144220) were added to the centre of the flowers.

By The Dock Bundle

Hello and welcome,

Apologies for my absence over the last couple of weeks but with Christmas and other distractions I have only just back into the craft room and this is the first chance I have had to play with any new products from the Stampin’ Up! mini catalogue which is available to order from on the 3rd January 2020. I have made a masculine card with the By The Dock Bundle (#c153817). In fact I made 2 cards with slight variations.

For the first card I used Seaside Spray card (#150889) for the base and Blueberry Bushel (#146991) for the frame. The jetty and boat from the By The Dock Stamp set (#c151622) were stamped onto Crumb Cake card (#121685) with the Saddle Brown StazOn ink (#151508). The birds were stamped with Seaside Spray ink (#150085) as were the ripples in the water and the fish. Happy Birthday from Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set (#c151331) was stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink (#147138) on Very Vanilla Card (#106550). All the stamped images were cut with the Dockside Dies (#151618). The frame was embossed with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder (#152320). Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the frame, jetty and boat to the card. Mini Glue Dots (#103683) were used for the birds and oar.

For the variations on the second card I used Very Vanilla for the base card, jetty, boat, birds and oars, Crumb Cake for the frame, Seaside Spray for the water and Old Olive card (#106576) for the grass. I used a Stitched Rectangles Die (#148551) to cut the inside of the frame. When I stamped the jetty and boat, I stamped them on card which I had embossed with the Subtle 3D embossing Folder (#151775) first. This gave me a more of a “worn” look which I was hoping to achieve. I used Crumb Cake ink (#147116) to stamp these.
