Double Z Fold card

 Hello friends,

I made a Double Z Fold card today and have used the Scalloped Contours dies (#155560) for the scalloped rectangles.

The Basic White base card (#159228) is 10.5cm x 29.8cm and scored in half  (14.8cm), then the front was scored in half again (7.4cm). The smaller “Z” for the inside is 25cm x 7cm. This was scored at 10.5cm and 17.5cm.

I dry embossed the Flirty Flamingo card (#141421) with the retired Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder and attached them to the card base.

The Pretty Peacock from the Soft Shimmer 12”x12” Paper Combo Pack (#161750) and the Basic White card were cut with the Scalloped Contours dies. These were attached to the smaller “Z” piece.

The flowers are from the Encircled In Nature stamp set (#163623) and cut with the co-ordinating Encircled In Nature die (#163628). The Stampin’ Blends to colour this are Flirty Flamingo (#154884) and Lost Lagoon (#161680).

“Just For You” from the So Sincere stamp set (#162283) was stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink (#147052) and cut with a Radiating Stitches die (#161595). The sentiment & flowers were attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

The retiring products are the Scalloped Contours dies.

Desert Details Dies

Hello stamping friends,

Here is an easy fancy fold card - the Double Z fancy fold card. I have used the Desert Details Dies (#160531) for the fancy frames on the front of the card. This was very hard to photograph so looks so much better in real life.

The base card is Tahitian Tide card (#159262). I cut the piece of A4 card in half (10.5cm) and used the full length of the card. This was scored on the long side at 7.5cm & 14.9cm. Another piece of Tahitian Tide card was cut at 8cm x 26cm. This was scored at 11cm & 18.5cm.

The DSP is from the Dry Brushed Metallic 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#160837). The piece attached to the left side of the card is 9.5cm x 6.5cm. The piece on the right side is 14cm x 9.5cm. The 2 pieces of Basic White card (#159228) are 7cm x 7.5cm.

I cut the Rose Gold Specialty Paper (#159139) for the “frame” with a Desert Details Die (#160531) and another die was used to cut the Dry Brushed Metallic Paper which was attached on top of the frame. This was attached to the smaller Z fold Tahitian Tide card for the card front. This Z fold was then attached to the larger Z fold by using adhesive only on the back of the left side of the “frame” and under the right side of the Z fold to attach it to the card.

The birds from the Pretty Birds stamp set (#158845) were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). Then I stamped the colour for the birds with Tahitian Tide ink (#159210). This is a Two-step stamp set, so easy to stamp the 2 images.

“Thinking Of You” from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, then cut with a Tailor Made Tag Die (#155563). The sentiment and birds were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). I coloured the Pearl Basic Jewels (#144219) with the Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends (#159221) and attached them to the card.

Double Z Fold Card

Hello friends,

If you are like me you love the Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Papers and again if your are like me you always have a stack of unused sheets. So today’s card is a larger size card Double Z Fold Card using the now retired (from Sale-a-bration) Wonderful World Stamp set & Designer Series Paper.

The Orchid Oasis base card (#159265) is 28cm x 21cm and scored at 7 & 14cm ( on the longer side). The other piece of Orchid Oasis card is 23.5cm x 14 cm, and scored at 9.5cm & 16.5cm.

One piece of DSP is cut 5.5cm x 19.5cm and the larger one is 12.5cm x 19.5cm. These were matted with Rich Razzleberry card (#119981) and cut 6cm x 20cm & 13cm x 20cm.

The Rich Razzleberry card for the card front is 8.5cm x 14cm. This was dry embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder (#156406). I stamped the flower with Orchid Oasis ink (#159214) and cut this with a Deckled Rectangles Die (#159173). I used Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to attach this to the card. The Basic White card for the middle panel & right side panel are 6cm x 14cm.

The sentiment is from the the Christmas Banners stamp set (#159570) and cut with the Christmas Banners Dies (#159576). The banner was stamped with Rich Razzleberry ink (#147091) and the sentiment with Orchid Oasis ink.

To attach the smaller panel to the card, tape the back of the right panel and only the left half of the left panel.

Butterfly Beauty Dies

Hi & welcome friends,

I was asked to design a card using the Butterfly Beauty Dies (#148536) with Night Of Navy, silver and white, so decided the double Z fold card would work well.

I cut the Night Of Navy card (#106577) 28cm x 21cm and scored on the long side at 7cm and 14 cm. The Designer Series Paper is from the Flowering Foils Specialty DSP (#152312). 2 pieces were cut 20cm x 6cm and the 3rd piece is 20 x 13cm. The size of the Whisper White card (#106549) is 23.5cm x 16cm and scored along the long side also at 7cm and 14cm. Notice that the larger piece is on the right for the base card and on the left for the Whisper White card. The butterflies were cut using the Butterfly Beauty dies and I used Night Of Navy card and Silver Foil Sheet (#132178). These were glued with the Fine-Tip Glue pen (#138309). Happy Birthday is from the Magnolia Blooms stamp set (#152729) and I stamped this with Night Of Navy ink (#147110). The circles were cut with the Layering Circles Dies (#141705) and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The stamped butterfly is from the Beauty Abounds stamp set (#c148726) and also stamped with Night Of Navy ink.

Hope you are all doing well in these uncertain times. I think crafting will keep me sane.
