Friends Are Like Seashells

Hello friends,

I decided I should use some products which I seem to have neglected lately with all the new things available. So I have used the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (#158204) and the Seaside Seashells Dies (#156095) on this card today.

The shells have been stamped with Highland Heather ink (#147103), Orchid Oasis ink (#159214), Fresh Freesia ink (#155611) and Balmy Blue ink (#147105). The star fish are stamped with Pale Papaya ink (#155670).

The shells, starfish & seaweed are all cut with the Seaside Seashells dies. I used Soft Sea Foam card (#147012) for the seaweed. After cutting the shells and seaweed I dry embossed with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder (#154309).

I also embossed a piece of Basic White card (#159228) with the Embossing Folder, then attached the piece of Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper (#160413) to this and attached it to the Basic White base card.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped with Orchid Oasis ink and cut with a Meadow Die (#155852).

The seaweed, a star fish & the Fresh Freesia shell were attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). I used Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the other shells, star fish & sentiment.

The retired Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels were added to finish the card. I added shimmer to all the stamped images with the Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897).

Decorative Borders stamp set

Hello crafty friends,

Another easy card today, this time using the Decorative Borders stamp set (#160513).

The image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) onto Basic White card (#159228). I then fussy cut one edge. I used the following Stampin’ Blends to colour this - Fresh Freesia (#155518), Granny Apple Green (#154885) and Flirty Flamingo (#154884).

The sentiment is from the Friends Are Like Seashells (#158203) and stamped with Fresh Freesia ink (#155611).

The Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper (#160834) was dry embossed with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (#154317) and the white card was attached on top. This was matted with Fresh Freesia card (#155614) and attached to the Basic White base card. The embellishments are the Flat Adhesive-Backed Pearls (#160449) and I used Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) on the floral image.

Basic Borders

Hello,

For today’s cards I made 4 the same but used different dies from the Basic Borders Dies (#155558).

Using a Blending Brush (#153611) and Seaside Spray ink (now retired) I coloured the Basic White card front (#159228). Then I stamped the images from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (#154368) with VersaMark (#102283) and heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555), then set with the Heat Tool (#129056). I added some extra colour on 2 of the cards over the stamped images using Balmy Blue ink (#147007). I then cut the Gold Foil Sheet (#132622) and the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper (#154288) with the Basic Border Dies. These were attached to the card front. I added the (retired) Seaside Spray Metallic ribbon to one of the cards.

The “celebrate” is from the Many Mates stamp set (retired), “Happy Birthday to my Beautiful Friend” is in the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (#154368), “Thinking Of You” is in the Quiet Meadow stamp set (#155082) and “Happy Birthday” is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set (#154507). These were all Gold Embossed and cut with Stitched Rectangles Dies (#151820) and Stitched So Sweetly dies (#151690). Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the sentiments to the card.

Friends Are Like Seashells

Hi everyone,

I love how the embossing folder gives dimension to the shells from the Sand & Sea Suite (#155980).

For the card front I used Basic White card (#159228) and blended the inks randomly over the card. I used Seaside Spray (#150085), So Saffron (#147109) and Pear Pizzaz (#147104). Then I sprayed the card front with Frost White Shimmer Paint (#147046) and when dried, I dry embossed it with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder (#154317). The card front was matted with Seaside Spray card (#150889) and I wrapped the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon (#150446) around the card, then attached it to the Basic White base card.

The shells and star fish from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (#154368) and these were stamped with Blushing Bride ink (#147100), So Saffron ink and Seaside Spray ink. After cutting these with the Seaside Seashells Dies (#156095) and cutting off the excess pieces, I dry embossed the shells with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder (#154309). I used the Clear Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897) on the shells and star fish, then attached them to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Happy Birthday is from the Happy Thoughts stamp set (#154507), stamped with Seaside Spray ink and cut with a die from the Ornate Frames Dies (#150664). The Pearl Basic Jewels (#144219) were added to the card.

Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle

Hi friends,

There’s probably not a lot of stamp sets or products that could be suitable for everyone - ladies, guys and children, but I think the Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle (#156205) is one of these.

The base card and card front is Basic White (#159228). I used Balmy Blue card (#147007) for the 3 rectangles. These were cut at 4cm x 8.5cm. The white embossed card was cut at 3.5cm x 8cm. These were embossed with the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder (#152700) and I lightly daubered these with Balmy Blue ink (#147105).

I have stamped the shells, starfish and sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (#154368). The inks used are Balmy Blue (#147105), So Saffron (#147109) and Crumb Cake (#147116). After stamping, I cut the shells and starfish with the Seaside Seashells Dies (#156095). The shells were then dry embossed with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder (#154309) and the sentiment was cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die (#151820). The shells were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). I also added some glitter to the shells with the Clear Wink Of Stella Glimmer Brush (#141897).

Seabed 3D Embossing Folder with Sand & Sea DSP

Hello and welcome friends,

I love the beautiful sheen on the Pearlescent Specialty Paper (#154291) and looks great when embossed with the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder (#152700).

This was then attached to the Very Vanilla base card (#106550) and then a piece of the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper (#154288) was attached.

The sentiment, shell and star fish are from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (#154368) and stamped onto Very Vanilla card. The sentiment and shell were stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink (#147052) and the starfish with So Saffron ink (#147109). The shell and starfish were cut with the Seaside Seashells Dies (#156095).

The sentiment and Flirty Flamingo card (#141421) under the sentiment were cut with Hippo & Friends Dies (#153585). I attached the Gold Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack (#152475), then attached the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The shell and starfish were also attached with Dimensionals.

Gilded Leafing Embellishment

Hi Ladies & guys,

I have had fun playing with the new Gilded Leafing Embellishment (#154560) on these seashells from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (#154368) and I love the finished product.

To use the Gilded Leafing, stamp the images of the shells with VersaMark (#102283) then add Heat & Stick powder (#156110) and set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The powder becomes sticky once heated. Then carefully add the Gold Gilded Leafing over the stamped images, press the gilded leaf firmly onto the image then using a firm brush, wipe the excess away. The excess can be added back into the rest of the leafing so it’s not wasted. The cardstock I used for the shells was Very Vanilla (#106550), Blushing Bride (#131287) and So Saffron (#108611). Next I cut the shells with the die from the Seaside Seashells Dies (#156095) and dry embossed with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder (#154309). Dry embossing these shells made a huge difference to the look of the shells.

The card front is Seaside Spray (#150889) and dry embossed with the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder (#152700). I lightly daubered over the embossed areas with Seaside Spray ink (#150085), then the cardfront was attached to the Very Vanilla base card. 

The sentiment is from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set. I stamped this using the Stamparatus (#148187) with Seaside Spray ink. Then I re-inked it with VersaMark and added Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#109130) and set with the Heat Tool. This gives a shine to the coloured ink. The sentiment was then cut with an Ornate Frames Die (#150664).

I cut pieces of the seaweed using the Seaside Seashells Dies from Soft Sea Foam card (#147012) and used the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897) to add some glitter to the seaweed. These were attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The shells and sentiment were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Seashells 3D Embossing Folder

Welcome friends,

I love when there is so much versatility in a suite, like the Sand and Sea Suite (#155980). This suite collection includes a stamp set, dies, embossing folder, designer series paper, specialty paper and embellishments, including stickers.

On this card I have chosen to use the embossing folder for the background. However you could cut with dies, stamp and emboss the same image, so it’s very versatile.

I dry embossed the Pearlescent Specialty Paper (#154291) using the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder (#154309). Then I lightly daubered the shells and seaweed using the following inks - So Saffron (#147109), Seaside Spray (#150085), Crumb Cake (#147116), Blushing Bride (#147100) and Soft Sea Foam (#147102). This embossed card was then attached to the Brushed Metallic 12”x12” Cardstock (#153524), then attached to the Soft Sea Foam card base (#147012).

I stamped the sentiment with Pear Pizzaz ink (#147104) and the star fish were stamped with Soft Sea Foam ink. Both these images are from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (#p154368). The starfish were cut with a Seaside Seashells die (#156095) and the sentiment with an Ornate Frames Die (#150664).

The Gold Trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack (#152475) was attached to the card, then the sentiment was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The starfish were attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) and Mini Glue Dots (#103683).
