Season Of Chic

Hello friends,

The Season Of Chic Bundle (#158816) and the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158808) have been used on this card.

The Designer Series Paper was attached to the Very Vanilla base card (#106550). The frame from the Framed Florets Dies (#160623) was used to cut the Gold Foil (#132622). This was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334) and attached to the DSP.

The flowers, leaves and the “mesh” are cut with the Chic Dies (#158815). I used the green Fine Shimmer Paper (#160428) for the “mesh”, Evening Evergreen card (#155575) for the leaves and Polished Pink card (#155711) and Melon Mambo card (#119980) for the flowers. “Thinking of You” is from the Season Of Chic stamp set (#158810) and this was stamped with Polished Pink ink (#155712). A Pretty Pillowbox die (#156321) was used to cut the sentiment.

The flowers and sentiment were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and the leaves with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The embellishments are from the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds (#159185).

The current Annual Catalogue and the Mini Catalogue are both ending on 1st May, so of course there are many retiring products which you will find the link below (and can be ordered from the 4th April and while stocks last.)

From 4th April you can also find all the retiring products here - lesleyjendra.stampinup.net

Texture Chic

Hi everyone,

I have seen many cards with the Twisted Ribbon technique so have used it on this card today. We all have those bits and pieces of designer series paper lying around so a great opportunity to use those “scraps” that we keep as they will come in handy one day!!

I have used the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158808) for the “ribbon” and the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper (#159237) for the background.

For the strips of “ribbon” I cut them 1/2” x 3 1/2” (or 13mm x  90mm). I cut 6 of each of the 2 designs. With some DSP you may like both sides which work well together. I found that a lighter colour worked best for the “reverse side” of “ribbon”  and a darker one for the top piece. These were attached with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755).

I used a piece of Basic White card (#159228) which was 138mm x 76mm (or 5 1/2” x 3”). I marked from top to bottom on both sides at 1/2” (13mm). When placing the DSP I had the bottom of the strip at the 1/2” mark on the left side and the top of the DSP strip at the 1/2” mark on the right so it is on an angle. Continue down the card at each 1/2” mark. Then place the other design of the DSP on top as you can see on the card and continue down the card. The strips will be a bit longer than you need so cut off the excess level with the white card.

This was then attached to the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper and attached to the Basic White base card.

The flowers and sentiment are from the Season Of Chic stamp set (#158810). These were stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555), then set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The Chic Dies (#158815) were used to cut out the flowers and the gold leaves. A Meadow Die (#155852) was used to cut the sentiment. The leaves were backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334) and Mini Dimensionals (#144108) and Mini Glue Dots (#103683) were used to attach the flowers.

Texture Chic

Hello everyone,

I love the elegance of the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158808). This paper has gold designs on one side of each sheet and the other sides have a beautiful range of designs which co-ordinate with the Season Of Chic stamp set (#158810). I have used the beautiful shells for this card.

The DSP was matted with Petal Pink card (#147009). I cut another piece of DSP with a Layering Diorama Die (#155565) and attached this to the card front. I backed a piece of Basic White card (#159228) with Adhesive Sheet (#152334) and cut this with a die from the Chic dies (#158815), then adhered it to the card. The base card is Basic White.

I stamped the 2 shells from the Season Of Chic stamp set, one on Basic White card and the 2nd on Petal Pink card using Petal Pink ink (#147108). These shells and the Gold Foil shells from the Brushed Metallic cardstock (#153524) were cut with the Chic dies.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped with Petal Pink ink. The circles were cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies (#159183). The sentiment and one of the shells were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper

Hi my friends,

I am always trying to use my bits and pieces of Designer Series Paper so here I have used some Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158808) and the beautiful Distressed Gold Specialty Paper (#159237).

I dry embossed the Basic White card front (#159228) with the Quatrefoil Tile Embossing Folder (#158655). I decided to use the back or de-embossed side, and attached this to the Basic White card base.

I attached the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper and Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper to the card. A die from the Stylish Shapes dies (#159183) was used to cut the circle. This DSP is also from the Texture Chic.

I stamped the tea cup from the Cup Of Tea stamp set (#158661) using VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Stampin’Emboss Powder (#155555) and set this with the Heat Tool (#129056). A co-ordinating die from the Teacup Dies (#160186) cut the cup. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to attach this to the card.

“Thinking Of You” is from the Season Of Chic stamp set (#158810) and this was also gold embossed. The sentiment & the Gold Foil (#132622) under the sentiment were cut with Stylish Shapes Dies.

TIP: Some of the embossing folders are suitable to use the front or the back, so just look at both sides to see which one you like.

Double Gate Fold card

Hello friends,

This Double Gate Fold card is an easy fancy fold card and is a great way to use your bits & pieces of Designer Paper.

The Basic White base card (#159228) measures 15cm x 29cm. I scored at 3.5cm & 9cm at each end of the long side and folded as shown above.

The sizes for the Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158808) are - 3cm x 14.5 and 5cm x 14.5cm, and you need 2 of each. These were attached to the card.

I cut Gold Foil (#132622) which was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334), with a die from the Artisan Additions dies (#159172). This was adhered to the inside of the card.

For the belly band I cut Soft Succulent card (#155777) 4cm x 25cm and scored each end at 6.8cm from each end. I folded the belly band and taped it together. I then dry embossed this with the Splatters from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders (#157980).

The sentiment from Eden’s Garden stamp set (#157823) was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555) then set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The hexagons were cut with the Beautiful Shapes Dies (#158046) and attached to the belly band. The butterfly was cut with a Brilliant Wings Die (#155523). This was attached with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional (#144108).

The embellishments the Festive Pearls (#159963) which are a sneak peek from the next mini catalogue.

Artisan Additions Dies

Hi & welcome again everyone,

The Artisan Additions Dies (#159172) is where you will find the die that I used for the detailed cut-out on this card. As usual, I had Adhesive Sheet (#152334) adhered to the back of the Gold from the Brushed Metallic Cardstock (#153524) before cutting with the die.

This was attached to the Basic White card front (#159228). The Designer Paper is from the Texture Chic 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158808). The scalloped strip was cut using a Penned Flowers die (#155557). This and the DSP was attached to the card front. I daubered the edges of the card front with Crumb Cake ink (#147116) before attaching it to the Basic White base card.

The sentiment is from the Edens Garden stamp set (#157823). This was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555), then set with the Heat Tool (#129056). I used the Layering Circles Dies (#151770) to cut the sentiment and the Gold Brushed Metallic cardstock under the sentiment. This was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

I find you can make an easy card with some beautiful Designer Paper and some lovely dies just like I have done here.
