Work of Art

Hello,

I have used the Work of Art stamp set (#c134114, #w134111) for the background of this card using Soft Sky ink (#131181).

The base card is Island Indigo (#124390) and I stamped on the Whisper White Card (#106549). Happy Birthday is from the Happy Birthday Everyone set (#c139958, #w139171). The butterflies are from the Papillon Potpourri stamp set (#c123759, #w132058) and these as well as the sentiment were stamped with Island Indigo ink (#126986). The butterflies were punched with the co-ordinating Bitty Butterfly punch (#129406) and then attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430). The corners of the Whisper White card were punched with the Curvey Corner Trio Punch (#139683).

That's all for today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Guy Greetings

Hello ladies,

Time for a male card, it's been a while since I made one.

The base card is Night Of Navy (#106577) and I have used Very Vanilla (#106550) and Marina Mist (#121682) as well. You will find the anchor in the Guy Greetings stamp set (#c138828, #w138825, #137178). This was stamped with Night Of Navy ink (#126970), as was the sentiment from the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set (#c139958, #w139171). A Framelit from the Cirles Collection (#130911) was used to cut the anchor, the edges were sponged and this was then attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's all today.

Till next time
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

The Cardstock is Daffodil Delight (#121680) and Whisper White (#106549). The corners of the Whisper White card are punched with the Curvy Corner Trio Punch (#139683). Happy Birthday from the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set (#c139958, #w139171) was stamped with Real Red ink (#126949). The ribbon is Gold 1/8" ribbon (#134583). The white card was attached to the base card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

It's been another busy day, so till next time,
Happy Stamping!

Butterflies Thinlits and Red Foil

Hello,

I was asked to make some butterfly cards, so of course with my love of butterflies, that was an easy task. This is one of the cards.

On the Whisper White base card (#106549) I embossed the Happy Birthday from Happy Birthday Everyone (#c139958, #w139171) using VersaMark (#102283) and Gold Embossing Powder (#109129) which was then heat set. The butterfly was cut with the Butterflies Thinlits (#137360) using Red Foil Sheets (#139607). This was attached to the background which is Gold Foil sheets (#132622) and the beautiful vellum from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack (#139594). I used the Mini Brads (#122941) to attach the vellum to the gold foil. This was attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Boys Will Be Boys

Hi and Welcome,

I've made lots of Christmas cards lately, so time to change, so today is a boy's birthday card.

I used the cute little robot from the Boys Will Be Boys stamp set (#c134138, #c134135) and this was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink (#133645) using both the masking technique and stamping off technique. Happy Birthady is from the Hostess set, Happy Birthday Everyone (#c149958, #w139171). The background was stamped with the Hardwood stamp (# c133035, #w133032) using Crumb Cake ink (#126975). The Cardstock is Very Vanilla (#106550) and Mossy Meadow (#133683). One of the robots was cut by hand and attached to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

Till next time,

Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Flowering Flourishes

Hello again,

Yes, I'm back. Sorry I haven't posted a blog for the last week or so but we were away on holidays and couldn't get any internet or phone service. We went to Carnarvon Gorge - such a beautiful place and we had a lovely relaxing time although did lots of walking.
So today's card follows on from the previous cards where I was using Whisper White card (#106549) and stamping. However on this card I did use Calypso Coral card (#124392) for the owls body, and the eyes use Crumb Cake (#121685) and Basic Black (#121688).

The inks are Calypso Coral (#126983) and Crumb Cake (#126975). The flourish is from the Flowering Flourishes stamp set (#c126367, #w131998) and the sentiment from Happy Birthday Everyone (#c139958, #w139171). The owl is made using the Owl Builder punch (#118074) and the owl is attached with Stampin' Dimensionals (#104430).

That's all today.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Corner Garden

Hi again Ladies,

This card uses a bit more than Whisper White (#106549) - I did use Vellum (#106584) and I also added a pink insert inside which gives the colour through the vellum. So I couldn't say this is just White card and stamping - but almost.

I stamped on the Vellum using the Corner Garden stamp (#c134048, #w134045) with VeraMark (#102283) and Silver Embossing powder (#109131) which is then heat set. The circle is cut with the Circles Collection Framelits (#130911), then placed the vellum inside the card. Happy Birthday is from the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set (#c139171, #w139958).  This is one of the Hostess sets. I also silver embossed this.

Have a great day.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Vintage Leaves

Hello Ladies,

I used the rock and roll method when I stamped the leaves from the Vintage Leaves stamp set (#p138802) and I love the finished results.

To do the rock and roll method, ink your stamp as usual.  I used Pear Pizzaz ink (#131180). Then with another ink - I used Pumpkin Pie (#126945) - roll the edge of the stamp on the ink pad so this ink is around the edges of the stamp. Stamp onto the card for this beautiful effect.  The leaves were cut with the Leaflets Framelits (#138283). The flower is from Crazy About You stamp set (#c138859, #w138856, #p137137) and stamped with Pumpkin Pie ink. This has a matching punch - the Flower Medallion (#137417) which I used.  I added some Pumpkin Pie Candy Dots from the Brights collection to the flower (#130931). The DSP is from the Everyday Chic (#138445). Happy Birthday from Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set (#c139958, #w139171) has been heat embossed with VersaMark (#102283) and Black Stampin' Emboss powder (#109133). The card stock is Whisper White (#106549). I used a Stampin' Dimensional (#104430) to attach the flower to the card, then was able to arrange the leaves around the flower and these were taped in place.

Today's tips:
1. When doing the rock and roll technique, always use the lightest colour first to avoid getting the darker ink on your light coloured ink pad. Also when doing multiple images, clean your stamp after stamping each image to avoid transferring colour to the ink pads.

2. Another tip for today is when stamping a solid image like the flower and using the photopolymer stamps, try stamping with a piercing mat under the piece of card. This sometimes gives a better finish if you aren't getting a nicely stamped image.

Hope you are having a lovely weekend.

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.

Beautiful Bunch

Welcome,

This flower is from the Beautiful Bunch stamp set (#c134282, #w134279). I used Rose Red card (#108613) and Rose Red ink (#126954). The flower was punched with the Fun Flower (#133785).

The base card is Whisper White (#106549), and I also embossed a smaller piece with the Modern Mosaic folder (#129984). The gold leaves were cut with the smallest leaf from the Leaflets Framelits (#138283) from Gold Glimmer Paper (#133719). The gold in the centre of the flower is cut with a Framelit from the Flower Fair Farmelits (#133731). Happy Birthday is from the Happy Birthday Everyone stamp set (#c139958, #w139171). This is one of the Hostess sets. The ribbons are Gold 5/8" Satin Ribbon (#134547) and Gold 1/8" Ribbon (#134583).

Bye for now,

Till next time,
Happy Stamping!
Lesley.
