Music From The Heart

Hi again,

I guess we all tend to get a new product, use it for a while then sometimes forget about it when new products come out. I think this is what I did with the Pigment Sprinkles (#149663), but I starting using them a couple of weeks ago and am loving playing with them again. One thing I love about them is you never get the same results twice.

There are 6 colours of sprinkles in the box - Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and Melon Mambo. You can use one or a combination of colours. Even when using just one colour you can get other colours appear once water is added to the sprinkles. I used Bermuda Bay Sprinkles on the Whisper White (#106549) background for this card. After spraying it with water and drying it with the Heat Tool (#129056), I then embossed this card with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder (#151474). This was the spritzed with Frost White Shimmer Paint (#147046) to give it a lovely shimmer. Happy Birthday and the 2 images were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) and the 2 images were fussy cut. These are all from the Music From The Heart stamp set (#151674). The Bermuda Bay card (#131286) was used for the base, the strip under the sentiment and the circle. The circle was cut with a Layering Circles Die (#141705). Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the images to the card and I added Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#150457).

I hope you are enjoying your long weekend.

Poppy Moments Dies with Pigment Sprinkles

Hello,

I love it when a card comes together so easily. I was cleaning up (a never ending job around here) as I always have “leftovers”. As I moved a piece of card, these outlines of the poppies were sitting on this card which I had coloured with Pigment Sprinkles, and thought, that would be a lovely card. So here it is.

I had lightly sprinkled the Mango Melody and Daffodil Delight Pigment Sprinkles (149663) onto a piece of Shimmery White card (#121717). This was then sprayed  with water using a Stampin’ Spritzer (#126185), then I used the Heat Tool (#129056) to set and dry it. The poppies were cut with the Poppy Moments Dies (#151594) from Basic Black card (#121688) and I glued them to the card with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309). The centres of the poppies are from Mango Melody card (#147013). “Happy Birthday” from the Peaceful Moments stamp set (#151595) was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and embossed with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#146956) and set with the Heat Tool. I used a die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies (#151690) to cut the sentiment and sponged the edges with Mango Melody ink (#147093). This was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The ribbon is Whisper White 1/4” Crinkled Seam Binding (#151326) and the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#150457) adds a sparkle to the card. Whisper White card (#106549) was used for the base and Basic Black to matt the card front.

Enjoy your day.

Music From the Heart

Hi again,

Music From The Heart stamp set (#151674) is a great set especially for those who are musical.

I used Shimmery White card (#121717) as this is perfect for watercolouring and as I was using the Pigment Sprinkles (#149663) and needing to add water, this was my choice. Fluid 100 Watercolour Paper (#149612) would be the other option. I sprinkled Gorgeous Grape and Melon Mambo sprinkles onto the card. Remember a small amount goes a long way. Then I spritzed the paper with water till I got the required effect, and used the Heat Tool (#129056) to dry it. If you have time you can let it air dry. I then stamped the musical images from the Music From The Heart stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708) onto the background and the tiny hearts with Gorgeous Grape ink. On another piece of  Shimmery White card I stamped the sentiment and piano with Gorgeous Grape ink (#147099). I coloured the “heart” on the piano with the Light Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends (#149564). I cut this card with a Stitched Rectangles Die (#148551) and this was matted with Gorgeous Grape card (#147011), then attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The Gorgeous Grape rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones (#149494) were added to the card.

The weekend is upon again already. Where does the week go?

Have a great weekend.

Detailed Peacock Dies

Hi and Welcome,

I was having a play with the Pigments Sprinkles (#149663) today and created this beautiful background. These are watercolour pigment crystals which you cam mix with water for unique backgrounds. The colours in the pack are Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and Melon Mambo.

There are various methods you can use, but I very lightly sprinkled each of the 6 colours onto the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper (#149612). A little goes a long way. Usually you would then spray it lightly with water but I decided to try using Frost White Shimmer Paint (#147046) which I had in a Stampin’ Spritzer (#126185) which was mixed with rubbing alcohol. I was very happy with the results as it helped disperse the colours as well as giving the lovely shimmer on the card. The more you spritz the card the more the colours will mix and blend. After the card was dried - I used the Heat Tool (#129056), but you can let it dry naturally - I embossed it with the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder (#150646). The peacock was cut with a Detailed Peacock Die (#149582) from Gorgeous Grape card (#147011). This was glued to the card with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755) using a Stampin’ Sponge (#141337). For this method I squeezed some glue onto a Silicon Craft Sheet (#127853), and dabbed the sponge onto the glue. Then I gently dabbed the glue all over the back of the peacock which is placed onto the craft sheet. This ensures you have glue on all the detailed pieces so is easy to glue to the card. The sentiment from Good Morning Magnolia stamp set (#149298) was stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink (#147099) onto Very Vanilla card (#106550) and cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die (#148551), then attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The base card is also Very Vanilla and the cardfront was matted with Gorgeous Grape card.

Have a great day.

Pigment Sprinkles

Hi everyone,

I have just had a play with the Pigment Sprinkles (#149663). These are watercolour pigment crystals which you just mix with water. You only need to use a very small amount of crystals. There are 6 Stampin’ Up! colours which are Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and Melon Mambo.

I used the Gorgeous Grape pigment. I added a small amount of crystals and mixed with water on an acrylic block, then using an Aqua Painter (#103954) to colour the Watercolour Paper (#149612). This was the attached to a piece of Basic Black card (#121688). The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550). The Very Vanilla “Thank You” was cut with the Thank You Die (#146832) and I fussy cut the Basic Black card. The butterfly was cut from the Butterfly Beauty Dies (#148536) and I added Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#144220) to the body of the butterfly. The ribbon is Black 3/8” Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#147897).

Enjoy your day.
