Enjoy The Rhythm

Hello,

Yes, another easy masculine card, this time for the musician, using the Enjoy The Rhythm stamp set (#160361).

The drums are stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) & the guitar is stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink (#159216). Happy Birthday is also from the Enjoy The Rhythm stamp set and stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink.

The “stitching” around the drums was done using the Stitched With Whimsy dies (#155314), then this card was matted with Sweet Sorbet card (#159266). The guitar was fussy cut and the sentiment was cut with a Nested Essentials die (#161597).

The Joy Of Christmas Designer Series Paper (#161958) was matted with Sweet Sorbet card then attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). The drums, guitar and sentiment were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). The music note embellishments are from the Loose Holly Gems & Sequins (#161981) and I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen (#138309) to attach them.

Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper

HI again,

I needed a card for a cyclist so this DSP with the bikes from the Design A Daydream 12”x12” Designer Series Paper (#159161) is perfect. This pack of DSP is a Host product and is great value with 48 sheets with a great range of designs and colours.

I cut the scalloped edge of the DSP and the Coastal Cabana card (#131302) with a die from the Around The Bend Dies (#160649). The Pool Party card (#124391) was cut with a die from the Artisan Additions (#159172).

“Happy Birthday” is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set (#151595) and stamped with Pool Party ink (#147107). I used the Stitched With Whimsy Dies (#155314) for the stitching around the sentiment and on the DSP. The sentiment was matted with Coastal Cabana card. The corners were punched with the Detailed Trio Punch.

The DSP was matted with the Coastal Cabana scallops, then attached to the Pool Party card front. This was attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). The sentiment was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The Glossy Dots Assortment embellishments (#158827) were added to the card.

Dragonfly Garden

I am so pleased that the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) that is currently in the January-June mini catalogue will be available in the next annual catalogue. This set is great for both male & female cards so very versatile.

The stitching on The Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper (#154558) was achieved with a die from the Stitched With Whimsy Die (#155314). I stamped the floral image and the dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) as well as the sentiment from Many Mates stamp set (#152633). Very Vanilla card (#106550) was used for the base card and to stamp the sentiment & dragonfly.

The DSP was then attached to the Basic Black card (#121688) and the Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#147897) was wrapped around the card front. The sentiment was cut with a Tasteful Labels Die (#152886) and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The dragonfly was punched with the Dragonfly punch (#154240) and this was also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897) was used to add some glimmer to the dragonfly wings. The Matte Black Dots (#154284) were added to the card.

The only retiring product used on todays card is Many Mates stamp set.

Good Morning Magnolia

Hello & welcome again,

Again I am using some retiring products on this card. The stamp set is Good Morning Magnolia (#149298).

The 3 flowers were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) on Basic White card (#159228), then cut with a Magnolia Memory Die (#149578). The flowers were coloured with Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends (#154893) and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends (#154902).

The stitching on the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper (#152483) was created with the Stitched With Whimsy Dies (#155314). This was then matted with Basic Black card (#121688) and attached to the Basic White base card.

A die from the Painted Labels (#151605) cut the “circle”.  Two magnolias were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). I attached the Gold Trim (already retired) with Mini Glue Dots (#103683), then added the sentiment with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). The sentiment is from the Borders Abound stamp set (#152627) and stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. A Stitched Rectangles Die (#151820) was used to cut the sentiment. The Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (#152155) were added to the card.

Masking Technique

Hi friends,

Here’s a technique which is easy to do but looks effective. It’s called the Masking Technique.

This technique allows you to stamp a variety of images which look like they overlap and not stamping over each other. On this card I stamped the smaller flower with Melon Mambo ink (#147051) onto the Basic White card (#1591228). I then stamped this flower onto a Post-it-note and cut the image very close to the lines. I then placed this over the stamped image on the card. I stamped the larger flower using Gorgeous Grape ink (#147099) as shown below.

When the post-it-note is removed you get the image of the 2 flowers, one in front of the other.

I also stamped 2 of the larger flowers on the post-it-notes and continued stamping on the card with Daffodil Delight ink (#147094) and Real Red ink (#147084), covering each stamped image to prevent stamping over the flowers on the card. These flowers are from the Forever & Always stamp set (#154343). The leaves are from the Forever Fern stamp set (#152559) and stamped with Pear Pizzaz ink (#147104), also using the masking technique.

I added some colour to the flowers with Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends (#154896), Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends (#154893), Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends (#154958) and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends (#154905). Then I used the Clear Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897) to add glitter to the flowers.

The stitching on the card front was achieved with the Stitched With Whimsey Dies (#155314). The sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set (#154368) was stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink, then cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die (#151820). The edges of the card front and sentiment were also daubered with Gorgeous Grape ink. Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attached the sentiment to the card.

The trio of embellishments are from the Pastel Pearls (#154571).
