Dragonfly Garden

Hi stamping friends,

This dragonfly is from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) which will soon be retiring.

I stamped one image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) on Basic White card (#159228). I then stamped it on Vellum (#106584) with VersaMark (#102283) and added Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155554) which was set with the Heat Tool (#129056). Both dragonflies were punched with the Dragonflies Punch (#154240). I attached the Vellum dragonfly on top of the other dragonfly with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).

Happy Birthday is from the Biggest Wish stamp set (#155052) and I stamped this with Merry Merlot ink (#147112) and Old Olive ink (#147090). I used the Split Card Textures Die (#159162) to cut the pattern in the Basic White card. This was attached to the Merry Merlot card (#147005) then this was attached to the Basic White base card.

I used Mini Glue Dots to attach the dragonfly to the card, as well as the Dragonfly Trinkets (#160520).

The retiring products used here are the Dragonfly Garden stamp set, Split Card Textures Dies, Merry Merlot cardstock & ink and the Dragonfly Trinkets.

Sending Smiles Bundle

Hi friends,

The background on this card has been achieved using ink refills and Water Painters (#151298). This is a great way to have a background with the colours you want.

The Ink Refills used are Orchid Oasis (#159215), Mango Melody (#147162), Melon Mambo (#115662) & Flirty Flamingo (#141402). I used a Water Painter and randomly added the colours to the Shimmery White card (#121717). After colouring the card I sprayed it with extra water which allows the colours to blend. Put this aside to dry or dry with the Heat Tool (#129056).

I then stamped the flowers from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). This was matted with Orchid Oasis card (#159265) and attached to the Basic White base card (#159228).

“Birthday Wishes” from the Sending Smiles stamp set (#158701) was stamped with Orchid Oasis ink (#159214). The dies to cut the sentiment and “sending” are from the Sending Dies (#159271). “Sending” was cut from Orchid Oasis card which was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334). This was attached to the Gold Foil (#132622). Both sentiments were attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). Elegant Faceted Gems (#152464) were added to the card.

Dragonfly Garden

Hello dear friends,

The dragonfly & floral image are both from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) and stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708).

I stamped the floral image onto a piece of the Hues Of Happiness Designer Series Paper (#158822). I dry embossed the DSP with the Stripes from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders (#157980). This was then matted with Basic Black card (#121688) and Daffodil Delight card (#121680). The base card is Basic White (#159228).

I wrapped the Metallic Mesh Ribbon (#153550) around the card front. “Best Wishes” from the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040) was also stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. This and the Basic Black card were both cut with dies from the Stylish Shapes Dies (#159183) and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

The stamped dragonfly was punched with the Dragonflies Punch (#154240). The small dragonfly was also punched with the same punch from Basic Black card.  I added Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to both dragonflies. These were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#144220) was added to the dragonfly and sentiment.

Dragonfly Garden

Hi stamping friends,

I coloured this floral image from Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) with Stampin’ Blends.

I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The Stampin’ Blends used are Sweet Sorbet (#159224), Parakeet party (#159220), Daffodil Delight (#154883), Highland Heather (#154887) & Flirty Flamingo (#154884). This was matted with Sweet Sorbet card (#159266).

I dry embossed the Basic White card front (#159228) with the Timber 3D Embossing folder (#156406). I daubered the edges with Sweet Sorbet ink (#159216) before attaching this to the Basic White base card.

I attached a strip of the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper (#159237) to the card front, then attached the matted stamped image. “Happy Birthday” from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555) and set with the Heat Tool (#129056). The sentiment and the Sweet Sorbet paper from the 2022-2024 In Colour Designer Series Paper (#159253) were cut with the Stylish Shapes Dies  (#159183). These were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The bow was made from the Gold & Vanilla Satin Edged Ribbon (#159555) and attached to the card with a Mini Glue Dot (#103683). The Red Festive Pearls (#159963) were attached to the card.

Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set

Hello again stamping friends,

Sometimes I have a particular idea for a card and it may or may not end the way I first imagined it. Other times I start with no firm ideas and the finished card I feel is much nicer than I expected which is how I felt about this card.

I started by colouring the right side of the Basic White card front (#159228) with Highland Heather ink (#147103), Coastal Cabana ink (#147097) and Polished Pink ink (#155712) using Blending Brushes (#153611). Then I stamped the beautiful flourish from the Sentimental Swirls stamp set (#157996) with VersaMark (#102283) and Embossed with the Silver Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555). This was set with the Heat Tool (#129056).

I stamped the flowers and the dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) then the dragonfly was punched with the Dragonflies punch (#154240). The flowers were coloured with Stampin’ Blends - Fresh Freesia (#155518), Polished Pink (#155520) and Pool Party (#154894 for the leaves.

I matted the card front with Basic Black card (#121688). The Metallic Mesh Ribbon (#153550) was wrapped around the card front, then the card front was attached to the Basic White card base.

Happy Birthday is from the Special Moments stamp set (from sale-a-bration). This was stamped with VersaMark and heat embossed with the Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155554). A label from the Potted Succulents dies (#154330) was used to cut the sentiment. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to attach this to the card. The Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#144220) were added to finish the card.

Dragonfly Garden

Hi friends,

A simple masking technique was used for the circle on this card.

I punched a 2”circle from a post it note and placed it on the Basic White card front (#159228). The circle was created by blending Pool Party ink (#147107) with a Blending Brush (#153611) onto the white card. I then used Daffodil Delight ink (#147094) at the bottom of the card.

I stamped the floral image and sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (132708). The sentiment was cut with a Waves Die (#158840). I threaded the White Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#156408) through the sentiment label and wrapped it around the card front. The sentiment was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The card front was matted with Basic Black card (#121688).

The base card is Pool Party (#124391) and the embellishments are from the new Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels (#159396).

TIP: Post it notes are great for making masks as it is a thin paper and it has the sticky area so you can attached it to the card and remove it easily.

Slimline card

Hello my friends,

I have made a slimline card using the Dragonfly Garden Bundle (#156224). I cut the base card 21cm x 21cm and scored at 10.5cm

I stamped the floral image and dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) on Basic White card (#159228). I coloured the flowers & leaves with Real Red Stampin’ Blends (#154899), Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends (#154885) and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (#154883).

The dragonfly was punched with the Dragonfly Punch (#154240) and I added some glimmer to it using the Clear Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897).

“Happy Birthday” from the (retired) Many Mates stamp set was stamped with Real Red ink (#147084) and cut with the Messages die (#154422).

I matted the floral image with Real Red card (#106578), then this was attached to the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (#155426). I wrapped the Metallic Mesh Ribbon (#153550) around the card front, then attached this to the Basic White base card.

The dragonfly & sentiment were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and the Silver embellishments are from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials (#155567).

Hi,

Firstly, a very happy Father’s Day to all fathers. I hope you are having a relaxing day.

I have used the beautiful Cork 12”x12” Specialty Paper (#156393) for the background of this card.

I matted this with the Shaded Spruce card (#147006) and attached the card front to the Basic White base card (#159228). The gold & white striped paper is from the Expressions In Ink 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#155464).

I stamped the Dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp set using VersaMark (#102283) and heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555), then set with the Heat Tool (#129056). This was then punched with the Dragonflies Punch (#154240) ands attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Biggest Wish

Hello again my friends,

The Picture This dies (#155559) consists of 2 dies, one with rectangle cut outs (as used on this card) and the other with circle cut outs. They also have stitching around the edges.

I cut the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper (#155426) with the Picture This die. This DSP is from the hostess products so can be earned with Stampin’ rewards with a qualifying order. There is a variety of patterns and colours on one side of the DSP and the reverse is Black & White in various designs, so a very versatile pack. I attached the designer paper to the Basic White base card (#159228).

I stamped “happy” & “birthday” from the Biggest Wish stamp set (#155052) using Real Red ink (#147084). These were then cut with the same die. I attached the rectangles to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) where the cut outs are on the DSP.

The dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708), then punched with the Dragonflies Punch (#154240). I used the Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to add glitter to the dragonfly, then attached it to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Have a great weekend!!

Dragonfly Garden

Hi & welcome,

I am so pleased that the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) that is currently in the January-June mini catalogue will be available in the next annual catalogue. This set is great for both male & female cards so very versatile.

The stitching on The Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper (#154558) was achieved with a die from the Stitched With Whimsy Die (#155314). I stamped the floral image and the dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) as well as the sentiment from Many Mates stamp set (#152633). Very Vanilla card (#106550) was used for the base card and to stamp the sentiment & dragonfly.

The DSP was then attached to the Basic Black card (#121688) and the Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#147897) was wrapped around the card front. The sentiment was cut with a Tasteful Labels Die (#152886) and attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The dragonfly was punched with the Dragonfly punch (#154240) and this was also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897) was used to add some glimmer to the dragonfly wings. The Matte Black Dots (#154284) were added to the card.

The only retiring product used on todays card is Many Mates stamp set.

Have a great day.

Dragonfly Garden Bundle

Hi again,

I am often asked about ideas for masculine cards, so here is one using the Dragonfly Garden Bundle (#156224). However I am sure it would be also suitable for the ladies.

The flowers and dragonfly are both from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411). The dragonfly was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) and the flowers were stamped with Granny Apple Green ink (#147095) on Basic White card (#159228). The flowers and dragonfly were coloured with Stampin’ Blends - Mango Melody (#154888), Daffodil Delight (#154883), Granny Apple Green (#154885), Poppy Parade (#154958), Rococo Rose (#154900) and Smoky Slate (#154904). The Dragonflies Punch (#154240) cut the dragonfly.

The blue DSP is from the Dandy Garden 6”x6” Designer Series Paper (#154297) and attached to the Basic White card base. The next layer is Daffodil Delight card (#121680) which I dry embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder (#152718). The card with the flowers was attached to the Daffodil Delight card and the Dragonfly was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Happy Birthday is from the Art Gallery stamp set (#154421) and stamped with Misty Moonlight ink (#153118). The sentiment and the Misty Moonlight card (#153086) under the sentiment were cut with dies from the Potted Succulents Dies (#154330) and also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I also dry embossed the Misty Moonlight label with the Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder.

As usual I added some glimmer to the dragonfly and the flowers with the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897).

I hope your day has been a great one!!

Dandy Laser Cut Paper

Hello,

The beautiful background is from the Dandy Laser-Cut Paper (#154300) and I have coloured it using the Blending Brushes (#153611).

The inks used to colour the background are Bumble Bee (#153116), Balmy Blue (#147105), Old Olive (#147090) and Pumpkin Pie (#147086). I punched the circle with the 2” Circle Punch (#133782) from So Saffron card (#108611). One of the Meadow Moments Embossing Folders (#153126) was used to dry emboss the circle.
The dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) and punched with the Dragonflies Punch (#154240). I coloured the wings of the dragonfly with So Saffron Stampin’ Blends (#154905) and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends (#154888), then added glitter using the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897). I attached the dragonfly to the circle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).
The Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#147897) was wrapped around the laser-cut paper. “Happy Birthday” from the Art Gallery stamp set (#154421) was stamped with Memento ink and cut with a Floral Gallery Die (#154316), then attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The laser-cut background was glued with the Fine Tip Glue Pen (#138309) on the corners and under the circle and sentiment.

Have a great day!!

Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper

Welcome,

How often do have bits and pieces of Designer paper left from a project. Well, here is an easy card using some “scraps” from the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper (#154558).

The base card and card front are Basic White (#159228). I dry embossed the cardfront with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder (#152725). The DSP was matted with Mossy Meadow card (#133683) and attached to the card front.
The dragonfly and the small dragonflies on the sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The dragonfly was punched with the Dragonflies Punch (#154240). I coloured the wings with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends (#154884) and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends (#154893) and added glitter with the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897).
The sentiment from Many Mates stamp set (#152633) was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink (#147111). The circles were cut with the Layering Circles Dies (#151770). Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to attach the dragonfly and sentiment to the card.

I am sure you will find plenty of DSP scraps to make a beautiful card.

Have a great day.

Flower & Field Designer Series Paper

Welcome my friends,

Sale-a-bration is coming to an end on 28th February so if you are placing an order you will receive a free product with each $90 you spend. The designer series paper on today’s card is from Sale-a-bration. It is the Flower & Fields DSP (#155223). I love the lovely range of vibrant colours and designs in this pack.

I have been trying to make some cards recently that could be used for men or women and I think this would work for either.

The Basic White card front (#159228) was dry embossed with one of the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder (#153126) before attaching it to the Granny Apple Green card (#147014). The DSP was also attached to the card front, then the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#147897) was wrapped around the card.
The sentiment from the Many Mates stamp set (#152633) was stamped with Granny Apple Green ink (#147095). This and the Granny Apple Green Card were cut with Hippo & Friends Dies (#153585). These were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).
I stamped the dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The Dragonflies punch (#154240) was used to punch the dragonfly and this was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897) was used to added some glimmer to the dragonfly, although this doesn’t show in the photo. The Matte Black Dots (#154284) were added to the sentiment.

Have a great day!!

Flowering Vine Dies

Hi,

I have used the Rectangular die from the Flowering Vine Dies (#154332) on this card.

The base card is Whisper White, the next layer is Blackberry Bliss card (#133682), followed by the Dandy Garden 6”x6” Designer Series Paper (#154297). I adhered the Adhesive Sheets (#152334) to the Gold Foil Sheet (#132622) before cutting with the Flowering Vine Dies, then this was attached to the DSP.
The dragonfly from the Dandy Garden stamp set (#154411) was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink (#147092), then punched with the Dragonflies Punch (#154240). I added the glitter from the Clear Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897) to the wings of the dragonfly. This did cause some bleeding of the ink but I liked how it gave a subtle colour to the wings. The dragonfly was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).
The sentiment is from the Many Mates stamp set (#c152633), stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink , then cut with a Hippo & Friends die (#153585). The Blackberry Bliss banner under the sentiment was cut with a die from Flowering Vine Dies and the Gold Foil sheet was cut with the Messages die (#154422). Stampin’ Dimensionals were also used to attach these and the sentiment to the card.

Have a great weekend!!

Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper

Hello,

We all have bits and pieces of Designer Series Paper and they are great for a quick and easy card with very little stamping.

I attached a piece of Whisper White card (#106549) to the Whisper White base card. I had daubered the edges first with Bumble Bee ink (#153116). Then I attached 2 pieces of the Dandy Garden 6”x6” Designer Series Paper (#154297) to the cardfront. Another piece of DSP was attached to a piece of Bumble Bee card (#153082) and this was attached to the card.
The sentiment is from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#154411) and stamped with Bumble Bee ink. The labels for the sentiment were cut with dies from the Potted Succulents Dies (#154330). These were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Yes, a very easy card.

Have a great day!!

Dragonfly Garden

Hello again friends,

I have another sneak peek today, using 2 products from the Dandy Garden Suite (#155981). I chose this set today as I was looking out my window this morning and I couldn’t believe the number of dragonflies flying around the garden.

I stamped the flowers from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#c154411) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). This was stamped onto a card front from the Dandy Laser-Cut Paper (#154300). I coloured the image with Stampin’ Blends - Highland Heather (#154887), Granny Apple Green (#154885), Daffodil Delight (#154883) and Poppy Parade (#154958). The cardfront was attached to the Highland Heather card (# 147010), then I wrapped the 3/8” Tricolor Ribbon (#149708) around these 2  cards. This was attached to the Whisper White base card (#106549). The sentiment is also from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set and stamped with Highland Heather ink (#147103). I cut this with the Messages die (#154422). This is a large die with various shaped cutouts. There is also a co-ordinating stamp set for this die, but I find that many sentiments can be cut with this die. I used the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) to attach the sentiment to the card.
The dragonfly is also from the Dandy Laser-Cut Paper. I daubered Smokey Slate ink (#147113) on the wings and Black Memento ink on the body, then added glitter using the Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush (#141897). This was glued to the card with the Fine-Tip Glue Pen (#138309). The Pastel Pearls (#154571) were added to the card.

I am going to have a week or so off as it’s a busy time of the year with getting together with (some) family & friends.  So I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and I should be back before the New Year.

Stay safe, relax and hopefully you can catch up with family & friends too.

Dandy Laser-Cut Paper

Hello again,

Things have been a bit busy the last few weeks with Christmas just around the corner, but hopefully things will start to settle down in the next week and I can get back into the craft room again.
Today’s card is another very easy card as again I have limited time.

I have used the Bermuda Bay from the Oh So Ombre 6”x6” Designer Series Paper (#155225). I have glued the Dandy Laser Cut Paper (#154300) to the DSP. I glued this using Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755) and sponged it over the back of the laser-cut paper. The Coastal Cabana ribbon from the Playing with Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack (#152468) was wrapped around the card front before attaching it to the Whisper White base card (#106549).
I stamped the dragonfly from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set (#c154411) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). This was punched with the co-ordinating Dragonflies punch (#154240). The wings were coloured with the Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend (#154904), then using the Clear Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897) to add glitter to the wings.
The sentiment from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set was stamped with Bermuda Bay ink (#147096) and cut with a Stitched So Sweetly Die (#151690). The sentiment and dragonfly were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Now some information about Whisper White cardstock from Stampin’ Up!

Whisper White has been a Stampin’ Up! staple for so long. We love it and we know you love it, too. We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we weren’t given much notice on this closure. This means that the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to us and we can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products, such as Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. Please note that this won’t affect any of our other cardstocks, this only affects Whisper White.

We know Whisper White has a huge fan base; we’re big fans, too! And we are crushed that it’s going away. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. We are happy to share that we have found a winner for our new cardstock, Basic White!

The quality of our new Basic White was thoroughly tested by our quality assurance and product teams. It also tested very well with demonstrators and concept artists who gave it a huge thumbs up. We believe in the quality of the new Basic White cardstock and we know it will become your new crafting staple!

Whisper White card will be available while stocks last and Basic White will be available as soon as it is in stock and not too far away. I am looking forward to using this new card.

Have a great day.
