Vintage Tools

Hello crafty friends,

I made this card yesterday for my husband to distract me while he was having knee surgery. He is a handyman so I have used the Vintage Tools stamp set (#159098) and I made a “tool box”.

I used Smokey Slate card (#131291) for the “tool box”. I cut a piece 9cm x 29.5 cm. I scored each end at 1.5cm, 3cm, 4.5cm, 6cm & 7.5cm. I cut 2 pieces 14.5cm x 9cm and these were attached inside the box and this is where I attached the tools.

The tools were stamped with Crumb Cake ink (#147116), Basic Gray ink (#149165), Soft Suede ink (#147115), Smokey Slate ink (#147113), Tuxedo Black memento ink (#132708) and Cherry Cobbler ink (#147083). These tools were fussy cut and attached to the card. The sentiments were also stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink. “Thinking Of You” is from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) and “Feel Better Real Soon” is from the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040). These were cut with Stitched Rectangles dies (#151820).

I dry embossed the Silver Foil (#156457) with the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder (#160766). I matted the piece for the front with Cherry Cobbler card (#147083) and attached the other piece to the Smokey Slate card for the back. This piece measures 14.5cm x 15cm. The corners were punched with the Very Best Trio Punch (#159878).

The sentiments and the planer on the front were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The nails were attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).

Vintage Tools

Hello again,

I have a shortage of masculine cards so time for another one today. Another easy one using bits and pieces of DSP & card.

All of the pieces were cut with the Deckled Rectangles Dies (#159173). The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550). The next layer is Cajun Craze card (#121683). The 2 smaller pieces of Cajun Craze were dry embossed with the Stripes from the Stripes and Splatters Embossing Folders (#157980) and the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder (#156505).

The Designer Series Paper is from Abigail Rose (#159037) and He’s The Man Specialty (#159068).

The sentiment & planer are from the Vintage Tools stamp set (#159098) and stamped with Cajun Craze ink (#147085). This was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Vintage Tools with Split Card Textures Dies

Welcome stamping friends,

I have made another masculine card with the Vintage Tools stamp set (#159098).

The base card is Smokey Slate (#131291). I cut the silver foil from the Silver Foil 12”x12” Specialty Pack (#156457) with a die from the Split Card Textures Dies (#159162) and attached it to the base card.

I stamped the images from the Vintage Tools stamp set with Smokey Slate ink (#147113) on Basic White card (#159228). I cut this and the Basic Black card (#121688) with the Decked Rectangles Dies (#159173). The black card was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The planer was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and heat embossed with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155554) and set with the Heat Tool (#129056). This was fussy cut before attaching to the card.

“Happy Birthday” from the Art Gallery stamp set (#158201) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708), then cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die (#151820). This was also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Vintage Tools

Hi again,

The Vintage Tools stamp set (#159098) is perfect for the handyman in your life.

The tools and the sentiment, all from the Vintage tools stamp set, were stamped with Soft Suede ink (#147115). The tools were fussy cut and I used a Stitched Rectangles Die (#151820) for the sentiment. There are no dies with this stamp set but these images are very easy to cut by hand.

The base card is Very Vanilla (#106550). I attached 2 pieces of the He’s The Man Specialty Designer Series Paper (#159068) to the card. I cut a piece of Very Vanilla card with the largest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies (#159183), then dry embossed this with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder (#156406). I coloured the small white brads from the Square & Round Brads (#155570) with the Dark Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends (#154906). I used the paper piercer from the Take Your Pick Tool (#144107) to make a hole in each corner of the diamond, then attached the coloured brads. This was then attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

The tools were attached with tape & Stampin’ Dimensionals, and the sentiment with Dimensionals.
