Cottage Rose

Hi stamping friends,

There are so many of my favourite products retiring, so over the next few weeks I will use some of these products in my cards. The stamp set used here is Cottage Rose (#159040).

I stamped the floral image with Tuxedo Black memento ink (#132708) onto Basic White card (#159228). I coloured the flower with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (#154883), the leaves with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends (#154885) and the flower centre & small buds with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ blends (#154897). The die to cut this is from the co-ordinating Cottage Flowers (#159047).

I dry embossed the Basic White card front with the Pretty Flowers Embossing Folder (#155428) and then matted it with Daffodil Delight card (#121680). This was attached to the Basic White base card.

The scallops are cut with a die from the Penned Flowers dies (#155557) using the Brushed Metallic cardstock (#153524). The scalloped were attached to the Hues Of Happiness Designer Series Paper (#158822) then this was attached to the card front.

The Gold ribbon is from the Gold & Silver Trim Combo Pack (#161633) and attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).

Best Wishes is also from the Cottage Rose stamp set and this was stamped with Daffodil Delight ink (#147094). A Potted Succulents Die (#154330) was used to cut the sentiment and this was taped to the card. The flower was attached with Stampin’ Dimenionals (#104430).

I added Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to the flower & leaves for some sparkle and the Pearl Basic Jewels (#144219) to the sentiment.

The retiring products used here are the Cottage Rose stamp set, Cottage Flowers dies, Potted Succulents dies, Penned Flowers dies, Brushed Metallic cardstock, Pretty Flowers embossing folder, Hues Of Happiness DSP and the Pearl Basic Jewels.

Cottage Rose Bundle

Hello friends,

I am certainly no gardener but I do love flowers which seem to dominate many of my cards. This flower on todays card is from the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040).

I stamped the flower with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) onto Very Vanilla card (#106550). This image was coloured with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (#154883), Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends (#154878) and Pale Papaya Stampin’ Blends (#155519). The co-ordinating die from the Cottage Flowers Dies (#159047) was used to cut the image.

“Best Wishes” is from the same stamp set and stamped with Bermuda Bay ink (#147096). A Pretty Pillowbox Die (#156321) was used to cut the sentiment.

I cut the 3 border pieces using the Desert Details Dies (#160531) from the Green Fine Shimmer Paper Pack (#160428). The Very Vanilla card front was dry embossed with one of the Basics 3D Embossing Folders (#161598). There are 3 different embossing folders in this set. The borders were taped to the card front, then this card was then matted with the green Fine Shimmer Paper and attached to the Very Vanilla base card.

The floral image and sentiment were both attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) gives the shimmer to the flower & leaves.  The embellishments (sorry I can’t remember where they are from but possibly from a kit) were attached to the card to add an extra sparkle.

Radiating Stitches Dies

Welcome again my friends,

I have just received the new Radiating Stitches Dies (#161595) which can be found in the “Online Exclusives”, and I just couldn't wait to use these beautiful dies. I have also realised that they will layer with many other of rectangular dies and I have used a die from the Scalloped Contours dies (#155560) for the Real Red card (#106578) between the 2 pieces cut with the Radiating Stitches Dies.

These are the Radiating Stitches Dies-

I used Gold Foil Sheet (#132622) for the larger die cut and Basic White card (#159228) for the smaller one. I stamped the leaves from the Cottage Rose Stamp set (#159040) onto the rectangular piece of White card with Granny Apple Green ink (#147095). I also stamped the leaves and the flower with Tuxedo Black memento ink (#132708). These were coloured with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends (#154885), Real Red Stampin’ Blends (#154899) and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (#154883). These were cut with the co-ordinating Cottage Flowers Dies (#159047).

The sentiment is from the Nested Friends stamp set (#160322) and I stamped this with Real Red ink (#147084). Another Radiating Stitches Die was used to cut the sentiment.

I layered the 3 rectangular pieces together and attached them to the Basic White base card. The flower, leaves and sentiment were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) was used to add some glimmer to the flower & leaves, and the embellishments are from the Adhesive-Backed Milky Dots (#160582).

Cottage Rose Bundle

Hello again stamping friends,

I have used the partial die cutting again on this card, like the Christmas tree card I did a few days ago.

I stamped the flower & leaf images onto Basic White card (#159228) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). These stamped images are from the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040). They were coloured with Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends (#155518) and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends (#154889). I used So Saffron Stampin’ Blends (#154905) for the centre of the flower and the tiny flowers.

I positioned the Fresh Freesia card (#155518) on the stamped card and placed the die around the flower and used a post it note to keep the die in place (as shown below).

Remove the Fresh Freesia card with the die in place and cut the card.

Repeat with the leaf image.

I dry embossed this card with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (#156505), then attached this to the white card.

The sentiment also from the Cottage Rose stamp set was stamped with Fresh Freesia ink (#155611) and I used a die from the Pretty Pillowbox dies (#156321) to cut the sentiment. The sentiment & card front were daubered with Fresh Freesia ink.

Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the sentiment. The cute little Heart Pearls (#159190) were added to the card.

Cottage Rose

Hello stamping friends.

I have made my own mask for the background of the card front using a die from the Organic Beauty dies (#158983).

After cutting with the die, I placed the die-cut piece which I used as a mask onto the card front  (so this wasn’t actually attached to the card) and blended Orchid Oasis ink (#159214) using a Blending Brush (#153611). The card front was matted with Orchid Oasis card (#159265) then attached to the Basic White base card (#159228).

The floral image from the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The Stampin’ Blends to colour this are Balmy Blue (#154830). Orchid Oasis (#159223) and Daffodil Delight (#154883). I cut this image as well as the gold foil pieces from the Brushed Metallic card stock (#153524) with the Cottage Flowers Dies (#159047). As usual I had backed the gold foil with Adhesive Sheets (#152334) before cutting with the dies, which makes it easy to attach these fine die cuts.

“Happy Birthday” from the Cottage Rose stamp set was stamped with Orchid Oasis ink. A Stylish Shapes die (#159183) was used to cut the sentiment. The Gold Simply Elegant Trim (#155766) was attached to the card under the sentiment. The sentiment and floral image were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

Don’t forget to check out the weekly specials for September and also the Perfect Partners which are only available till the end of September.

Cottage Rose

Hi friends,

One of my favourite stamp sets in the Annual catalogue is the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040) and it’s easy to colour with your favourite colouring tools.

I stamped the floral image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). This ink is great when colouring with Stampin’ Blends as I have done on this card. The Stampin’ Blends used are Starry Sky (#159222) for the flower, Soft Succulent (#155521) for the leaves and Sweet Sorbet (#159224) for the buds. I also used the Color Lifter (#144608) to remove some colour from the flower to give more variation in the colours. I also used the Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to add that little bit of sparkle to the flower. This was then cut with a Cottage Flowers Die (#159047).

The Vellum 12”x12” Layering Design (#157764) was matted with Starry Sky card (#159264). I attached this with Mini Glue Dots (#103683) on the 4 corners then added the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots (#159186) on top as the glue dots will show through the vellum.

I wrapped the Starry Sky Metallic Woven Ribbon (#159198) around the card front before attaching this to the Basic White card base (#159228).

“Happy Birthday” is also from the Cottage Rose stamp set and stamped with Starry Sky ink (#159212). A Frosted Flurry Die (#159811) was used to cut the sentiment. The flower & sentiment were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Splendid Stems Dies

Hi my stamping Friends,

These detailed die cuts are cut with dies from the Splendid Stems Dies (#159676).

I attached the strip of Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper (#159037) to the Very Vanilla card front (#106550). Then the Natural Finish Ribbon (#159051) was wrapped around the card front. The Merry Merlot card (#147005) and Very Vanilla card were cut with the square Stylish Shapes dies (#159183). I used Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to attached these to the card.  The 3 different colours from the Brushed Metallic Cardstock (#153524) were used for the detailed leaves which were backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334).

I stamped the leaves from the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040) with Mossy Meadow ink (#147111) and these were cut with the Cottage Flowers Dies (#159047).

“Happy Birthday” is from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) and stamped with Merry Merlot ink (#147112). A Stylish Shapes Die was used to cut the sentiment. The Rustic Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots (#159082) were added to finish the card.

Cottage Rose Bundle

Hello,

These gorgeous flowers are from the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040). This stamp set & the Cottage Flowers Dies (#159047) are available together with in the Cottage Rose Bundle (#159048) which saves you 10%.

All the images were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). To colour these I used Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends (#154958), Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (#154883) and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends (#154892). These were then cut with the Cottage Flowers Dies.

The base card is Basic White (#159228). The Poppy Parade card (#121694) was dry embossed with the Stripes from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder (#157980), then attached to the card.

I cut a piece of Gold foil from the Brushed Metallic Cardstock (#153524) with a die from the Fabuolous Frames (#159163). This was attached using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) to a piece of the Gold spot DSP from the Silver & Gold 6”x6” Specialty Paper (#159941) which is a sale-a-bration product. This was taped to the base card. The stamped images were then attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals & Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

“Happy Birthday” also from the Cottage Rose stamp set was stamped with Poppy Parade ink (#147050) and cut with a Stylish Shapes Die (#159183). As usual I like to add some glimmer to the flowers with the Clear Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897).

Masking technique with Cottage Rose

Hi friends,

Firstly I am just taking a break over the next 7-10 days but I will be back before the end of the month.

On todays card the masking technique has been used when stamping the flowers and leaves from the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040). I was trying to make a card with just stamping but couldn’t resist adding some extra elements.

I used the medium size single flower and stamped this with Polished Pink ink (#155712). Then using masks I stamped the other 2 flowers. Then masking 2 of the flowers I stamped the leaves with Granny Apple Green ink (#147095).

“Happy Birthday” is from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) and also stamped with Polished Pink ink. I cut the scallops with a die from the Penned Flowers dies (#155557) using Polished Pink card (#155711). I cut the corner from the Basic White card front (#159228) and attached the scallops. This was then attached to the Vellum Layering Designs (157764), then attached to the Polished Pink card base.

TIP: When attaching vellum I like to only tape where it can’t be seen, so I used tape under the white card. I also added a Mini Glue Dot (#103683) in the bottom left corner, then added an embellishment on top from the 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds (#159185).

To make a mask, I stamp the image on a piece of Post it Notes and cut out the image. Cut on the line rather than leaving a border so the next stamped image is close to the previous stamped image. Place the mask over the stamped image so the next image doesn’t overlap the first image. (There is now a Masking Paper (#155480) which you can use for masking. Just waiting for mine to arrive.)

Cottage Rose

Hello stamping friends,

Again I have used the gorgeous flower from the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040). As I said previously, this is my favourite stamp set from this current catalogue.

The floral image and the extra leaves were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) on Basic White card (#159228). The flower was coloured with Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends (#159224) for the darker areas, then I lightly coloured it with a Blending Brush (#153611) and Sweet Sorbet ink (#159216). The leaves were coloured with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends (#154885). I used Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (#154883) for the tiny flowers. These were cut with the Cottage Flowers dies (#159047).

I backed the Gold paper from the Gold & Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper (#156844) with Adhesive Sheet (#152334), then cut this with the die from the Organic Beauty Dies (#158983). I used the diamonds from this instead of the outline of the “trellis”. To place these diamonds, I placed the outline onto the white card with out it sticking to the card, and adhered the diamonds in place, so they were all attached uniformly.

The top of the card front was dry embossed with one of the Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folders (#159170). The floral image was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) & Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

The small gold die-cut leaves & flowers are cut with dies from the Cottage Flowers dies and the piece under the sentiment is cut with a Painted Labels Die (#151605). I also used the Gold Metallic Specialty Paper for these. The sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set (#158763) was stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink and cut with a Stylish Shapes die (#159183). Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to attach this to the card.

Cottage Rose Bundle

Hi my crafty friends,

I couldn’t resist making another card today with the Abigail Rose Suite Collection (#159052).

I stamped the flower & leaves from the Cottage Rose stamp set (#159040) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). These were cut with the Cottage Flowers Dies (#159047). The Stampin’ Blends used to colour these images are Pale Papaya (#155519), Daffodil Delight (#154883) and Soft Sea Foam (#154902).

The base card is Basic White (#159228), followed by Pale Papaya card (#155669) then the Abigail Rose Designer Series Paper (#159037). I stamped Happy Birthday from the Cottage Rose stamp set with StazOn Jet Black ink (#101406) onto the Natural Finish 7/8” Ribbon (#159051). This ribbon was wrapped around the card front.

Best Wishes, also from the Cottage Rose stamp set was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink. This was cut with a Natural Prints die (#158800). The sentiment, floral image and extra stamped leaves were all attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) & Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

The gold paper from the Gold & Rose Gold 6”x6” Metallic Specialty Paper (#159139) was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334), before cutting the flower with another Cottage Flowers die and attached it to the top right corner of the card.

I added shimmer to the stamped flower with Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) and finished the card with the Pale Papaya 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds (#159185).
