Virtual Card Making Retreat

 Hi again,

Last weekend when I was away, Stampin’ Up! held a Virtual Card Making Retreat. I wasn't able to join at the time but it’s great that I can make the cards in the coming weeks. I have prepped all the kits and there was a lot of material left, so I am using one of the flower cut outs on this card.

I stamped the floral image from the stamp set onto the die cut card using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). This was coloured with Bubble Bath Stampin’ Blends (#161675), Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends (#154902), Berry Burst Stampin’ Blends (#161681) & Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends (#161680).

The Bubble Bath card (#161727) was dry embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791), then matted with Berry Burst card (#144249) and Basic Black card (#121688).

The strip of Splash Of Sparkles Specialty Designer Series Paper (#167200) was matted with Berry Burst card and attached to the card front.

The floral image was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). I used Soft Sea Foam card (#147012) backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334) for the leaves cut with the dies from the Fragrant Layers (#167154).

“Celebrate” is from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set (#165198) and stamped with Berry Burst ink. This was punched with the Three Banner punch (3167050) and attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Thankful Garden

 Hello Stamping friends,

The Thankful Garden Bundle (#165534) with the co-ordinating Thankful Garden Decorative Masks (#165538) have been used for this floral image.

I stamped the image from the Thankful Garden stamp set (#165526) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) on Basic White card (#166781). I coloured this with the Decorative Masks and Blending Brushes (#153611). For the flowers I used Peach Pie ink (#163810), then Timid Tiger ink (#165278), followed by Pumpkin Pie ink (#147086).  I used Summer Splash ink (#163809) for the leaves. The first layer I applied a light colour, then the next layer I added extra colour to make it darker. The flower was then cut with the Thankful Garden die (#165533). I then used the masks for the flowers & leaves that I used for the darker layers and applied the Shimmery White Embossing Paste (#145645) on top.

The Everyday Arches dies (#164629) were used to cut the Peach Pie card (#163800) and Vellum Specialty Paper (#167099). I dry embossed the Vellum and the Summer Splash card front (#163798) using the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791).

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped with Summer Splash ink and cut with another Everyday Arches die. I wrapped the Summer Splash ribbon around the arches and attached the arches to the card front.

The flower & sentiment were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). I coloured the Antique Pearls (#164679) with the Dark Summer Splash Stampin Blends (#163826) before attaching them to the card.

Christmas Greenery Bundle

 Hello everyone,

Here is a sneak peek of some new products which will be available from the 3rd September. The floral image is from the Christmas Greenery stamp set (#165870), but I decided to use the image for a non Christmas card.

I stamped the image with VersaMark (#102283) and added Gold powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder (#165678), then set with the Heat Tool (#129056). This was coloured with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends (#147052) and Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends (#163826). The co-ordinating Christmas Greenery die (#165872) was used to cut this.

The Flirty Flamingo card front (#141421) was dry embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791), then attached to the Basic White card base (#166781).

The white frame was cut with the Branching Out dies (#165775). This was attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

“Love” is from the Peace On Earth stamp set (#165918) and this was stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink (#147052) then cut with the More Messages die (#165472).

The floral image and sentiment were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The gold Flower Accents (#165171) were added to finish the card.

Party Banners Dies

 Hello again friends,

The Party Banners dies (#165264) are great for making banners for all occasions as well as using for cards. I have made this welcome banner which I have hung in the front entry of our home. The largest banner die is 17.8cm x 13.7cm (#7”x5-3/8”) so quite a large size. With 14 different sizes of banner dies you can make you banner any size to suit your requirements.

I used the largest banner die for the Highland Heather card (#147010) for the background. The slightly  smaller dies were used for the Gorgeous Grape card (#147011) and the Designer Series Paper. This is a retired paper. We all have excess of DSP that needs to be used, don't we.

I dry embossed the DSP with the Mini Corrugated 3D embossing folder (#165559) and the Highland Heather card with the So Swirly embossing folder (#163791). I taped these banners together.

The letters are cut from Gold Foil Sheets (#132622). I don’t have the Party Alphabet dies (#165263) which would have been perfect. (I cut these with an Electronic cutter).

The butterflies are cut with dies from the Beautiful Butterflies dies (#164614) using Highland Heather & Gorgeous Grape card.

The flowers are from the Extraordinary Flora Washi Tape (#165269). I must be obsessed with this tape as I have used it on so many projects.

I used Mini Glue Dots (#103683), Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) and Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the flowers, leaves, letters & butterflies to the banners. The Flower Accents (#165171) were attached to each butterfly.

I threaded the Gold Ribbon from the Gold & Silver 1/8” Trim Combo Pack (#161633) through the banners to hang it.

Framed Scenes

 Hi friends,

A great masculine card today using the Framed Scenes Bundle (#165397). The bundle consists of the Framed Scenes stamp set (#165395) and the Framed Scenes dies (#165396).

I stamped the lighthouse image with VersaMark (#102283) and added the Silver from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powders (#165678), then set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). I cut this with the rectangular die from the Framed Scenes dies. I also cut a piece of Secret Sea card (#165296) with the same die for the frame.

The Cloud Cover card (#165293) was dry embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder 163791), then matted with the Secret Sea card. This was attached to the Basic White base card (#166781).

“Just Because” from the Blooming Phrases stamp set (#165523) was stamped with Secret Sea ink (#165285) and cut with a die from the Beautiful Butterflies dies (#16614). This was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

The Secret Sea & Cloud Cover are 2 of the new 2025-2027 In-Colors.

Cheerful Daisies

 Hello friends,

Tomorrow is the start of the New Annual Catalogue and Online Exclusive products. I am sharing another retiring product today - the Cheerful Daisies stamp set (#161290) and Cheerful Daisies dies (#161296).

The flowers were stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink (#147138), Azure Afternoon ink (#161663), Crushed Curry ink (#147087), Daffodil Delight ink (#147094), Melon Mambo ink (#147051) and Flirty Flamingo ink (#147052). The sentiment is from the same stamp set and stamped with Melon Mambo ink.

The flowers & leaves were cut with the Cheerful Daisies dies and the sentiment with a Stylish Shapes Die (#159183).

The Basic White card front (#166781) was dry embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791) and matted with Azure Afternoon card (#161728). The strip of Azure Afternoon card was dry embossed with a Glass & Gardens Embossing Folder (#165597). The card front was attached to the Basic White base card.

For the leaves I used Lemon Lime Twist card (#144250) backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334), making these detailed die cuts easy to attach to the card. The flowers were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) was used on the flowers and the embellishments are from the Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs 161954). These embellishments are also retiring.

Memorable Blooms

 Hello friends,

I need a couple of sympathy cards so here is one I have made using the Memorable Blooms Bundle (#164826).

I stamped the image from the Memorable Blooms stamp set (#164816) with VersaMark (#102283) and added the Silver powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder (#165678), then set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). This was cut with a Memorable Blooms die (#164825).

I then dry embossed the Basic White card (#159228) from which the floral image was cut out, with the Soft Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791). This was taped to the Silver Foil Sheet (#163387). The floral image was attached with Stampin Dimensionals (#104430) on top of where it was cut.

“With Sympathy” from the Unbounded Love stamp set (#163378) was also heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. I cut this with a Textured Notes die (#165555). Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) were used to attach the sentiment.

The embellishments are retired Festive Pearls.

Otterly Amazing

 Hello again friends,

I’m finally back in the craft room after a lovely break.

How cute are these adorable otters from the Otterly Amazing stamp set (#164926).

The otters image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The otters were coloured with Pecan Pie Stampin’Blends (#161674), 500 & 900 from the Natural Tones Stampin’ Blends (#159462) & (#159465). The leaves were coloured with Lost Lagoon (#161680) & Pretty Peacock (#161676) Stampin’ Blends.

The stamped image, log & leaves were cut with the Otterly Amazing dies (#164932). I used Lost Lagoon card (#133686) and Pretty Peacock card (#150886) for the leaves. The dies & stamp set are available together in the Otterly Amazing Bundle (#164933). The dies also cut some of the images in the Otterly Adorable 12”x12” Designer Series Paper (#164936).

I used a die from the Wildflower Designs (#16333) to cut the Pretty Peacock card for the “frame” and the Otterly Adorable Designer Series Paper for inside the frame.

I dry embossed the Pool Party card (#124391) with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791). This was attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). The 2 die-cut pieces were taped to the card front.

The log was taped to the card and the otters were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The die cut leaves backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334) were attached to the card.

“Happy Birthday” from the Sentimental Park stamp set (#160561) was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink (#150083) and cut with a Happy Little Things die (#163709). This was attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

The embellishments are from the Riverside Irregular Pearls (#164937). Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) was used to add glimmer to the otters.

Regal Winter Designer Series Paper

 Hello & welcome again,

I have had a very busy couple of months with classes so I am having a short break, so this will be my last card for a couple of weeks. Today’s card is another quick & easy card using Designer Papers.

I used the Regal Winter 12”x12” Designer Series Paper (#164156) for the larger & smaller circles. The red & gold paper is from the Season Of Elegance 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#164144). The three circles were cut with the Stylish Shapes dies (#159183).

I stamped the sentiment from the So Sincere stamp set (#162283) onto the DSP with VersaMark (#102283) and added the White from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powder (#165679), then set it with the Heat Tool (#129056).

The cute little bow is from the Sentimental Wishes stamp set (#164210) and stamped with Real Red ink (#147083). The co-ordinating Sentimental Wishes die (#164219) was used to cut this.

The Basic White base card (#159228) was dry embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791), then matted with Real Red card (#106579) and attached to the Basic White base card.

The 2 larger circles were taped to the card and I used Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) for the smaller circle. A Mini Glue Dot (#103683) was used to attach the bow to the card.

The Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136) were added to the card. I also added glimmer to the flowers on the DSP with the Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897).

Peaceful Season bundle

 Hello friends,

“Merry Christmas” is from the Peaceful Season Bundle (#164021). This bundle consists of the Peaceful Season stamp set (#164145) and the Peaceful Season dies (#164020.

I stamped “Merry” with Cherry Cobbler ink (#147083) and cut it with one of the dies. “Christmas” was  cut from Cherry Cobbler card (#121681) and Gold Foil Sheet (#132622) which was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334) for ease of attaching to the background.

I cut a piece of Basic White card (#159228) with an Elegant Borders die (#161593), then dry embossed it with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791).

I taped the piece of Regals Distressed Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper (#164037) to a piece of Cherry Cobbler card, then attached the white piece.

I cut the leaves from the Graceful Greenery Vellum Specialty Designer Series Paper (#164118) with the co-ordinating Golden Greenery die (#164116). Another die from this set was used to cut the bells from the Season Of Green & Gold Specialty Designer Series Paper (#164324).

I attached the leaves and one bell with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The other bell was attached with a Stampin’ Dimensional (#104430). “Merry Christmas” was attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). The embellishments are from the Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries (#164119).

Wild Ferns

 Hello & welcome,

I am back from my short holiday and straight back into classes, so very busy again. For today’s card I have used the Wild Ferns stamp set (#162648) and Wild Ferns dies (#162654).

I used a retired decorative mask and Blending Brush (#153611) with Pecan Pie ink (#161665) to create the  background on the Very Vanilla card (#106550). I then stamped a fern from the Wild Ferns stamp set using Mossy Meadow ink (#147111). I dry embossed this card with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder (#156406). I attached this to a piece of Mossy Meadow card (#133683). I wrapped a piece of retired ribbon around the card.

I dry embossed another piece of Very Vanilla card with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791), daubered the edges with Mossy Meadow ink and attached it to the Very Vanilla base card.

I attached the smaller card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). “Just For You” from the So Sincere stamp set (#162283) was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink and cut with a Deckled Circles die (#162286).

The leaves from the Wild Ferns stamp set were stamped with Old Olive ink (#147090) and cut with a co-ordinating Wild Ferns die. The leaves & sentiment were attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).

The Pecan Pie gems from the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots (#164204) were added to the card.

So Swirly Embossing Folder

 Welcome again,

I have made my own “designer paper” for the background of this card, using the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791) and heat embossing with Gold Wow! Embossing powder (#165678).

I added VersaMark (#102283) to the inside of the front of the embossing folder, then embossed a piece of Very Vanilla card (#106550). I added the Gold embossing powder to the card and set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). As this is a large embossing folder I used a piece of card the same size as the folder so I had plenty of area to punch the pieces with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch (#162888).

I attached the punched pieces to a piece of Basic Black card (#121688) measuring 9x13.4cm. The hexagons overlapping the edges were cut off level to the black card. I then used another piece of Basic Black card measuring 9.5cmx13.9cm to matt the card. I found this the easiest way to get the edges cut evenly and still have the black all the way around the outside. The cardfront was then attached to the Very Vanilla base card.

The flower from the Irresistible Blooms stamp set (#161140) and the sentiment from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set (#161290) were stamped with Real Red ink (#147084). I did this with the Stamparatus. After cleaning the stamp and not moving the card or stamp, I re-inked with VersaMark, then added Clear Wow! Embossing Powder (#165679). This was set with the Heat Tool.

The leaves from the Irresistible Blooms stamp set were stamped and embossed in the same way, using Pretty Peacock ink (#150083) and Lost Lagoon ink (#161678). The flower and leaves were cut with the Irresistible Blooms dies (#161149).

The sentiment was cut with a Cheerful Daisies die (#161296). The flower, sentiment and Pretty Peacock leaves were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and I used Mini Glue Dots (#103683) to attach the Lost Lagoon leaves.

Loveliest Tree

 Hi friends,

The Loveliest Tree Bundle (#163716) used here for the tree, consists of the Loveliest Tree stamp set (#163714) and the Loveliest Tree dies (#163715).

The tree was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink (#150083) and cut with the Loveliest tree die. The Basic White card (#159228) for the card front was coloured with Blending Brushes (#153611) with Daffodil Delight ink (#147094), Peach Pie ink (#163810) and Balmy Blue ink (#147105). I then dry embossed this card with the So Swirly Embossing Folder (#163791). The DSP from the Frames & Flowers 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#163765) was attached to the card front. This was then matted with Pretty Peacock card (#150886) and attached to the Basic White base card.

I cut another piece of Pretty Peacock card with a die from the Greetings Of The Season dies (#164112) for the banner. “Happy Birthday” from the Magnolia Mood stamp set (#163502) was stamped with Pretty Peacock ink and cut with a Delicate Forest die (#162679).

Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper

 Hi friends,

I love when the dies co-ordinate with Designer Series Paper as well as the stamped images.

The DSP here is the Nature’s Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper (#162616) and the dies are Lovely & Sweet (#162626). I cut 2 images from the DSP.

The DSP for the card front is from the same pack and this was matted with Basic Black card (#12688) and attached to the Basic White base card (#159228).

I dry embossed a piece of Basic White card with the So Swirly Embossing Powder (#163791) and also matted this with Basic Black card.

The die cut pieces were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). “Congratulations” from the Everyday Greetings stamp set (#165084) was Gold embossed using VersaMark (#102283) and Gold from the Metallic Wow! Embossing Powder (#165678). The Heat Tool (#129056) was used to set this. A Greetings Of The Season die (#164112) was used to cut the sentiment.

The Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gems (#161288) were added to the card.
