Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper

 Hi everyone,

Sorry for my absence the last couple of days, but I am away for a few days visiting family. I brought some bits and pieces with me to do some cards if & when I had a chance, so here is today’s easy card.

The scene is from the Waterside Retreat Designer Series Paper (#167920) and I matted this with Pecan Pie card (#161726). I dry embossed the Shaded Spruce card (#147006) with the (retired) Birch Wood Embossing Folder and attached this to the Basic White base card (#166781). The matted DSP was attached on top.

“Happy Birthday” is from the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies (#170042) and I used the Copper Stampin’ Hot Foil Rolls (#1700553). This was then cut with the co-ordinating cutting dies from the Classic Greetings dies. I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) to attach the sentiment.

I have done a range of the sentiments from this set with various colours of the Hot Foil and put them aside ready to use on a card, so I don't have to heat the machine for just one sentiment. Very convenient. Also you can fit a few of the sentiments on the machine at one time.

Sunset Coast dies

 Hi again everyone,

A great masculine card today using the Sunset Coast dies (#167780).

I cut the lighthouse image using the dies and used Silver Foil Sheets (#163387), then cut the circle with a Stylish Shapes die (#159183).

The card front is from the Shimmering Stripes Specialty Designer Series Paper (#168197). I coloured this with a Blending Brush (#153611) and Azure Afternoon ink (#161663). The circle was also cut with the Stylish Shapes die.

I dry embossed the Basic White card (#166781) with the Soft Waves Embossing Folder. I attached the Shimmering Stripes Paper to the embossed card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430), then matted this with Azure Afternoon card (#161728). The base card is Basic White.

The lighthouse image was attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683) and Multipurpose Liquid Glue (#110755).

I used the Silver Foil Sheets for the shells & starfish and Azure Afternoon card for the birds. These dies are also from the Sunset Coast dies. They were attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots.

The sentiment is from the Begonia Belle stamp set (#168592) and stamped with Azure Afternoon ink, then cut with a Nested Essentials die (#161597) and taped top the card.

Relaxing Waterside bundle

 Hello & welcome,

The Relaxing Waterside Bundle (#167928) is great for masculine cards.

All the stamped images and sentiment are from the Relaxing Waterside stamp set (#167922) and stamped onto Very Vanilla card (#166785). I stamped the chair & sentiment with VersaMark (#102283) and used the Copper powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powders (#165678) and set this with the Heat Tool (#129056).

The grass was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink (#147111) and the cup with Crushed Curry ink (#147087). The chair, grass & cup were cut with the Relaxing Waterside dies (#167927). I used a Stitched Stocking die (#168230) to cut the sentiment. The Pecan Pie card (#161726) under the sentiment was cut with a Bordered In Beauty die (#167556). This was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334), which I generally use for more detailed die cuts, making it easy to attach to the card.

The 3 strips of DSP from the Woodgrain Wonders Designer Series Paper (#167428) were attached to the Pecan Pie card, then the card front was attached to the Very Vanilla base card. The Faux Bronze Pentagons are the embellishments used.

 Hi friends,

I stamped the tree with Mossy Meadow ink (#147111) onto Basic White card (#166781). This was cut with the die. The leaves were also cut with the dies using Mossy Meadow card (#133683), backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334).

The squares were cut with the Stylish Shapes dies (#159183) using Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper (#165196). These were attached to the Basic White base card, then this was matted with Mossy Meadow card. The base card is Basic White.

“Happy Birthday” is from the Simply Said stamp set (#163756) and stamped with Mossy Meadow ink. A Textured Notes die (#165555) was used to cut the sentiment.

The tree & sentiment were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and the Adhesive backed leaves were added.

Scalloped Wishes

 Hi friends,

How cute are these dragonflies from the Scalloped Wishes Bundle (#167447). Do you find you use the larger images in a set and forget about the smaller ones? I do, so thought I would use the dragonflies without all the other images from this bundle.

The curved card and DSP were cut with a die from the Paradise Garden dies (#167120). The DSP is from the Painted Illusions Designer Series Paper (#167977) and the coloured card is Secret Sea (#165296). After cutting the Secret Sea card with the die, I cut it in half (longways) and attached this to the DSP & sentiment.

“Happy Birthday” is from the stamp set from the Virtual Card Retreat (#170026) and stamped with Secret Sea ink (#165285).

These die cut pieces were attached to the Basic White card front (#166781) which was dry embossed with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder (#161600). This was matted with Secret Sea card.

The die cut dragonflies were cut with dies from the Scalloped Wishes dies (#167452) using the Tungsten from the Textured Metallic Specialty Paper (#163772). These were attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).

The small stamped dragonflies are from the Scalloped Wishes stamp set (#167447) and stamped with Secret Sea ink and cut with a Scalloped Wishes die. I used Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) to attach these to the card.

Nature’s Symphony Dies

 HI again friends,

I am trying to increase my supply of masculine cards, so here is one using the Nature’s Symphony dies (#166925).

For the card front I used 3 of the designs from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper (#163393) and attached them to the Tungsten Paper from the Textured Metallic Specialty Paper (#163772). This was attached to the Basic White base card (#166781).

The leaf was cut with a die from the Nature’s Symphony dies using Mossy Meadow card (#133683) which was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334), making it very easy to attach to the card.

The “wood grain” piece was also cut with a Nature’s Symphony dies using from the Textured Metallic Specialty Paper. This was attached with Stampin’ Dimensioanls (#104430).

“Happy Birthday” from the Simply Said stamp set (#163756) was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and I used Silver powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powders (#165678). The Heat Tool (#129056) was used to set the powder. A die from Fragrant Layers (#167154) was used to cut the sentiment.

The Natural Matte Dots (#167510) were added to the card.

 Hello friends,

An easy masculine card using the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper (#165196).

The card front and the house are both from the DSP. The card front was dry embossed with the Birch Wood 3D Embossing Folder (#164069), then matted with Mossy Meadow card (#133683).

I cut the house from the DSP and the Mossy Meadow card using the Branching Out dies (#165775). These were taped together then attached to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

“Happy Birthday” is from the Simply Said stamp set (#163756) and stamped with Mossy Meadow ink (#147111) on Basic Beige card (#164512). A Stylish Shapes die (#159183) was used to cut the sentiment. This was also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The base card is Basic Beige.

Trusty Tools

 Hello friends,

I needed a card for an apprentice builder, so the Trusty Tools stamp set (#163274) and Trusty Tools dies (#162722) were perfect.

I stamped the tools with Basic Gray ink (#149165), Smoky Slate ink (#147113), Real Red ink (#147084) and Crushed Curry ink (#147087). The head of the wrench was stamped onto Smoky Slate card.

The spanner was cut from Silver Foil (#163387) and the tool box from a retired matt silver foil.

The “pegboard” was cut with a Trusty Tools die. This Basic White card (#166781) was matted with Real Red card (#106578), then attached to the Basic White base card.

“Happy Birthday” from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp sets (#164608) was stamped with Real Red ink. I cut this with the “Pencil” die.

The tool box & handle as well as the tape measure were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The tools and sentiment were attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).

I used Basic Black card (#121688) for the “17” (cut with an E-cutter) and this was attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

Just A Note Bundle

 Hi again,

The Just A Note Bundle (#166102) has been used for today’s card. I am loving this bundle for both cards & scrapbooking.

I stamped DAD from the Trusty Tools stamp set (#163274) using VersaMark (#102283) and adding the Copper powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powders (#165678). The Heat Tool (#129056) was used to set the powder.

I then stamped the lines from the Just A Note stamp set (#166098) using Basic Gray ink (#149165). “Happy Birthday” from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set (#164608) was stamped with Pecan Pie ink (#161665). This was then cut with the die from the Just A Note dies (#166101).

The paper clip was also cut with a die from Just A Note using the Copper from the Textured Metallic Specialty Paper (#163772).

The hammer and tape measure are from the Trusty Tools stamp set. I used Early Espresso ink (#147114) for the hammer and Pecan Pie ink for the tape measure. These were cut with the Trusty Tools dies (#162722). I added some colour to these with Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends (#161674) and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends (#154882).

The Basic White card front (#166781) was stamped with the Painted Stripes background stamp (#165437) using Crumb Cake ink (#166787). The DSP attached to the left side is from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper (#165196).

The “note paper” was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The hammer & tape measure were attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

 Hi again friends,

Again I am highlighting some more retiring products. Don’t forget to check out the Last Chance list https://www.stampinup.com.au to see what’s still available. There are many at reduced prices.

The words are from the Biggest Wish stamp set (#155052). I stamped “happy” onto Country Lace Designer Series Paper (#163415) using Night Of Navy ink (#147110). I then re-stamped it with VersaMark (#102283) and added Clear from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powders (#165679) and set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). This is easy to double stamp with the photopolymer stamps. For “birthday” I heat embossed with White Embossing powder, also from the Basics Embossing Powders onto Night Of Navy card (#106577).

“Happy” was cut with a die from Something Fancy dies (#160424) and “birthday” with an Enduring Beauty die (#162672).

Woven Textures Designer Series Paper

 Hi again friends,

The Woven Textures 12”x12” Designer Series Paper (#165560) has a variety of woven materials and designs in various natural hues and is great for masculine cards, which I am always in need of. I love the “texture” on these designs.

I had some small strips of the DSP left from another project and of course we can’t throw out any DSP, so used them on this card. I attached the strips of DSP to a piece of Pecan Pie card (#161726), leaving a small gap in between each piece,  then matted it with the Early Espresso card (#121686). This was then attached to another piece of the DSP, and attached to the Very Vanilla base card (#106550).

I stamped the leaves from the Textured Notes stamp set (#165548) with Old Olive ink (#147090), Wild Wheat ink (#161651) and Crumb Cake ink (#147116). These were all fussy cut.

The sentiment from the So Sincere stamp set (#162283) was stamped with Early Espresso ink (#147114) and cut with an Around It All die (#164725). The Old Olive leaf and the sentiment were attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) and I used Mini Glue Dots (#103683) to attach the other leaves.

Trucking Along

 Hi everyone,

With the new Mini catalogue being released early January, the current Mini catalogue will be retiring along with many products. Also there are a number of Online Exclusive products retiring to make room for more new and exciting products. So over the next few weeks I will try to highlight some of the retiring products.

The Trucking Along stamp set (#162299) and the Trucking Along Builder Punch (#162305) are retiring. I stamped the outline of the trucks with Misty Moonlight ink (#153118) and Night Of Navy ink (#147110). For the coloured part of the trucks I used the Stamping Off method with the same inks to get the lighter colour. The trucks were then punched with the punch. The tyres were coloured with Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends (#154904). The presents were stamped with Misty Moonlight ink and coloured with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (#154883) and Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends (#154830). These were fussy cut.

Three designs of the Country Woods Designer Series Paper (163393) have been used on this card. This is not retiring. I matted the lighter piece with Basic Black card (#121688). They were attached to the Basic White base card (#159228).

“Happy Birthday” from the retiring Garden Meadow stamp set (#162736), was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink and cut with a Happy Little Things die (#163709) - also retiring.

The sentiment & trucks were attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). I used Mini Glue Dots (#103683) to attach the presents. The Festive Pearls embellishments are already retired.
