Nested Friends

Hi stamping friends,

These cute little birds are from the Nested Friends stamp set (#160322) which are part of the Nested Friends Bundle (#160489).

I stamped the birds with Balmy Blue ink (#147105), Fresh Freesia ink (#155611) and Pale Papaya ink (#155670). They were then coloured with co-ordinating Stampin’ Blends - Balmy Blue (#154830), Fresh Freesia (#155518) & Pale Papaya (#155519). The branch from the same stamp set was stamped with Granny Apple Gree ink (#147095) and the leaves coloured with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends (#154885).

The birds, branch & small leaves from Granny Apple Green card (#147014) were all cut with the Nested Friends dies (#160488).

I punched the corners of the Granny Apple Green card and the Vellum Basics 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#160839) with the Very Best Trio Punch (#159878), then attached these to the Basic White base card (#159228). 

The small leaves had Adhesive Sheet (#152334) on the back for ease of attaching these to the card. The branch was attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683) and the birds with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

“Thank You” is from the Nested Friends stamp set and stamped with Granny Apple Green ink. A Tailor Made Tags Die (#155563) was used to cut the sentiment, then attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The Gold Simply Elegant Trim (#155766) was threaded through the tag.

TIP: When attaching the vellum to the card, only use adhesive where it will be hidden as it will show through. I find the easiest way is to attach all the elements to the vellum first, then you can see on the back of the vellum where to add the adhesive. I then attached adhesive under the small leaves, the branch, birds & sentiment.

Nested Friends

Hello friends,

Another bundle which is new in the mini catalogue is the Nested Friends Bundle (#160489). I love that Stampin’ Up! have now named the stamp sets, dies and bundle all the same, so the Nested Friends Bundle includes the Nested Friends stamp set (#160322) and the Nested Friends Dies (#160488). This will make it so much easier to remember the names of the co-ordinating products.

The bird and sentiment are from this stamp set. The bird was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) and the sentiment with Daffodil Delight ink (#147094). I coloured the bird with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (#154883) and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends (#154958) for the beak.

The bird and nest were cut with the Nested Friends Dies. I used Crumb Cake card (#121685) and Soft Suede card (#119982) for the nest. The green leaves were cut with a die from the Dainty Delight Dies (#160674) using Old Olive card (#106576) backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334).

I dry embossed the Soft Sea Foam card (#147012) with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder (#156406). This card and the Old Olive card had the corners punched with the Very Best Trio Punch (#159878). This was then attached to the Very Vanilla base card (#106550).

The sentiment & nest were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).
