Fancy Borders Bundle

 Hello friends,

I have used the Fancy Borders Bundle (#165381) for this card. The bundle consists of the Fancy Borders stamp set (#165379) and the Fancy Borders dies (#165380).

I stamped the leafy borders with Granny Apple Green ink (#147095). “Happy Birthday” from the With You In Mind stamp set (#164747) was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and I added the Gold from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder (#165678), which of course was set with the Heat Tool (#129056).

I used one of the Fancy Borders dies to cut the top & bottom of the Basic White card (#159228). This was attached to the Wild Wheat card (#161734), then attached to the Basic White base card.

The Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136) were added to the card.

A quick & easy card.

Memorable Blooms

 Hello again friends,

As I write this, the wind is starting to build as the cyclone comes closer to the Queensland coast and is expected to cross the coast tomorrow night. My craft room is the most exposed so we have boarded the windows and doors, just to be on the safe side. It is very rare for a cyclone to come this far south, so we are hoping it isn't too vicious. I hope everyone in the affected areas will be safe.

I have used the Baby Wipes technique again on today’s card. Check yesterdays blog for all the details on this technique. I usually stamp a variety of images when I use this technique so I don't waste the ink I have used to create the “ink pad”.

I stamped the image from the Memorable Blooms stamp set (#164816) onto Basic White card (#159228). This was cut with a Textured Notes Die (#165555).

The Real Red card (#106578) was dry embossed with the Modern Herringbone Embossing Folder (#164908) and attached to the Basic White base card. The stamped image was attached to the Real Red card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

“Congratulations” from the Translucent Florals stamp set (#162243) was stamped with Real Red ink (#147084). The sentiment and the Azure Afternoon card (#161728) were also cut with Textured Notes dies. These were taped to the card. The Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels (#158987) were added to the card.

Baby Wipes Technique

 Hi friends,

Today’s technique is the Baby Wipes Technique to give the lovely rainbow effect on the small butterfly & the Lace image.

For this technique you need alcohol free wipes. I used a double layer and placed it in a spare stamp case. Then using ink refills I squeezed the ink in strips along the wipes as shown below. I used 5 re-inkers - Azure Afternoon (#161668), Real Red (#103287), Coastal Cabana (#131164), Peach Pie (#163819) and Daffodil Delight (#119672) and repeated the colours. This is now your ink pad.

I used the lace image from Chantilly Lace stamp set (#163683) and stamped this onto Basic White card (#159228). I cut this card and the Azure Afternoon card (#161728) with the new Textured Notes dies (#165555). I also dry embossed the Basic White card with the (retired) Softly Sophisticated embossing folder. The 2 cards were taped together then attached to the Basic White Base card.

I stamped the larger butterfly from the Sketched Butterflies stamp set (#163490) with Azure Afternoon ink (#161663) onto Azure Afternoon card. The smaller butterfly from the same set was stamped with the Baby Wipes “ink pad”. Both butterflies were cut with the Sketched Butterflies dies (#163491).

“Happy Birthday” from the Adventurous Sky stamp set (#163439) was stamped with Azure Afternoon ink, then cut with a (retired) Happy Little Things die.

The blue butterfly & sentiment were attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). The small butterfly was attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). The Iridescent Faceted Gems (#163368) were added to the card.

There are now new products & kits available in the online exclusives, including the Textured Notes dies,  so make sure you check them out -

Spotlight On Nature Bundle

 Hi friends,

The Spotlight On Nature Bundle (#163581) consists of the Spotlight On Nature stamp set (#163579) and the Spotlight On Nature dies (#163580). The dies are a variety of circles with decorative edges and don’t cut the images in the stamp set. This makes the dies very versatile for use with such a variety of stamps, designer papers etc.

I stamped the floral image and butterfly with Tuxedo Black ink (#132708) and the leaf image with Mossy Meadow ink (#147111). The flowers were coloured with Pretty In Pink Stampin’ Blends (#163824) and the leaves with Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends (#154902). I didn’t add any extra colour to the leaves stamped with Mossy Meadow ink. The butterfly was coloured with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. The butteryfl, leaves and floral image were fussy cut.

“Just For You” from So Sincere stamp set (#162283) was stamped with Pretty In Pink ink (#163807). The sentiment, Soft Sea Foam card (#147012) and Gold Foil Sheet (#132622) were all cut with the Spotlight On Nature dies.

The base card is from the Brushed Gold Cards & Envelopes (#162177). The 2 larger circles were taped together the taped to the card base. The floral image & butterfly were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The other leaves were attached with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). With the Mossy Meadow leaves I cut the 3 leaves on the right & top off the other leaves and added them separately.

The embellishments are from the Adhesive-Backed Dappled Dots (#163353). As usual I used Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to add glimmer to the flowers & butterfly.

You Are Remarkable stamp set

 Hello again friends,

I have used the flower from the You Are Remarkable stamp set (#165445) again on today’s card. This stamp set doesn't include dies but there are many dies which can be used to cut various shapes like I have done here.

I stamped the floral image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) onto Basic White card (#159228). As this stamp set is a 2 Step stamping stamp set, I then stamped the leaves with Lost Lagoon ink (#161678). I cut this with the diamond shaped die from the Linked Together dies (#164808).

With another die from Linked Together, I cut the Silver Foil Sheet (#163387) which was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334). This was attached to the Country Woods Designer Series Paper (#163393) and the DSP was matted with Real Red card (#106578). The base card is Basic White.

I then stamped the flower again and fussy cut this. I coloured it with Real Red Stampin’ Blends (#154899) and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends (#154883), then attached it on top of the flower using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) to add dimension. The diamond shape was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

“Happy Birthday” from the Simply Said stamp set (#163756) was stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and I used the Silver Powder from the Metallics Wow! Embossing Powder (#165678) and set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). A die from the Heart Shaped dies from Sale-a-bration  was used to cut the sentiment. (Unfortunately Sale-a-bration is now over). The sentiment was also attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish the card I used Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) on the flower and added the dragonflies from the Adhesive-Backed Dragonflies & Birds (#162743).

Masking Technique

 Hello crafty friends,

I have used the Masking Technique to stamp the flowers on this card. This allows you to stamp several images without stamping over them and creating a layered effect.

Firstly I stamped the image from the You Are Remarkable stamp set (#165445) onto a piece of photocopy paper and fussy cut around the image, cutting right on the line and not leaving a margin as I would normally do when fussy cutting. This is used for the mask.

Next I stamped the image onto the Basic White card front (#159228) with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink (#132708). I stamped this in the middle of the card. Then I covered this with the mask and stamped another flower. I continued this till the card front was stamped. You may need a second mask, depending on the image. I needed 2 for this. When you have 2 or more images stamped you may require more masks to cover the stamped images.

This stamp set is a 2 Step stamp which allows you to stamp the outline then stamp to colour the flowers & leaves in the colours you desire. Because of the masking I found it easier for this card to colour with Stampin’ Blends. The colours used are Lost Lagoon (#161680), Lemon Lolly (#161673), Bubble Bath (#161675), Fresh Freesia (#155518), Balmy Blue (#154830), Flirty Flamingo (#154884) and Ivory (#154922),

I added Glimmer to the flowers with the Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897).

The card front was matted with Basic Black card (#121688). I wrapped the Silver & White Sheer Ribbon (#162149) around the card front then attached it to the Basic White base card.

The sentiment is from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set (#161290), stamped with Highland Heather ink (#147103) and cut with a Happy Hibiscus die (#164879). This was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

The cute Tiny Bee Trinkets (#164714) were attached to the card with Mini Glue Dots (#103683).
