New Horizons Designer Series Ppaer

Hi & welcome everyone,

I love how easy it is to make a beautiful scene with the New Horizons Designer Series Paper (#157768). This pack is 6”x6” and has a lovely range of designs.

I matted the DSP with the Basic Black card (#121688) then attached it to the Very Vanilla base card (#106550).

I cut the tree using a Beautiful Trees Die (#155840) from Copper Foil Sheet (#142020). This was backed with Adhesive Sheets (#152334) which makes it easy to adhere the tree to the card.

I attached Very Vanilla card to a piece of Foam Adhesive Sheets (#152815) before cutting the fence with the Horizon Dies (#157778). The Foam Adhesive sheets are double sided foam sheets which is great to give dimension to the card.

I have used Basic Black card for the birds. The birds sitting in the tree are cut with the Beautiful Trees Dies and the flying birds are cut with the Waves Dies (#158840). The birds in the tree were attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108) and the others had Adhesive Sheet attached to the back of the card.

TIP: Sometimes I don't attach a sentiment to the card till I know who I am giving it to, as it may be the wrong sentiment. It’s easy just to add the sentiment later for the appropriate occasion.

Horizon Dies

Hi everyone,

Here’s a fairly simple card using mostly dies. It’s great when you can use different sets to achieve a great card.

The tree and birds were cut with the Beautiful Trees Dies (#155840). I used the Beauty Of The Earth Designer Series Paper (#155841) for the tree and Cherry Cobbler card (#121681) for the birds. To make it easy to adhere the tree I used the Adhesive Sheets (#152334) on the back of DSP before cutting. The tree was adhered to another piece of the Beauty Of The Earth DSP. I had stamped the birds from the On The Horizon stamp set (#157770) using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) onto the green DSP.

The fence and grass were cut with Horizon Dies (157778). I used Very Vanilla card (#106550) for the fence and Mossy Meadow card (#133683) for the grass. The fence, grass and birds were all attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). I also cut the grass so it wasn’t the full length so it fitted on the card the way I wanted it.

“Happy Birthday” from Blossoms In Bloom stamp set (#158283) was stamped with Cherry Cobbler ink (#147083). I cut this with a die from the Bouquet Of Love (#157641). These dies are part of the Bouquet Of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder.  Stampin Dimensionals (#104430) were used to attach the sentiment to the card. Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) was used on the birds for a bit of sparkle.

TIP: When using Dimensionals on both the fence and the grass, ensure you only put Dimensionals on the grass where the pieces don’t overlap.

Blackberry Beauty Designer Series Paper

Hello again,

The Blackberry Beauty 12”x12” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#156471) and the Gold 12”x12” Shimmer Vellum (#156471) are two of many of the products retiring from the current Mini catalogue.

I attached Adhesive Sheet (#152334) to the Gold Shimmer Vellum and Rich Razzleberry card (#119981). Then I dry embossed the gold vellum with the Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder (#156505) and attached this to a piece of Gold Foil Sheet (#132622). I cut the tree from the Rich Razzleberry card with the Beautiful Trees Dies (#155840) and attached this to the Gold Shimmer Vellum. The birds are from the same die set and I used Gold Foil sheet for these cute birds.

The DSP was attached to the Basic White base card (#159228) and the gold foil was attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). “Thinking Of You” is from the Beauty Of Friendship stamp set (#154983) and I stamped this with Rich Razzleberry ink (#147091). A Seasonal Labels Die (#156299) was used to cut the sentiment. The birds and sentiment were attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). The Genial Gems (#155500) were added to finish the card.

Picture This Dies

Hello again my crafty friends,

Stampin’ Up! have such a great range of dies, many of them co-ordinate with stamps and others can be used alone with great results.

I cut the Mossy Meadow card (#133683) with one of the Picture This Dies (#155559). This was attached to the Beauty Of The Earth Designer Series Paper (#155841), then this was attached to the Basic White base card (#159228).

I cut the tree from Beautiful Trees Dies (#155840) using the darkest of the Brushed Metallic 12”x12” cardstock (#153524) which was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334). This makes it easy to attach more detailed pieces to the card.

The birds, also from the Beautiful trees dies were cut from Bumble Bee card (#153082) and attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

“Happy Birthday” is from the Blossoms In Blooms stamp set (#152684) and I stamped this with VersaMark (#102283). I heat embossed this with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555) and set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). The die to cut this is also from the Beautiful Trees dies. I attached the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). 

I finished the card by adding glimmer using the Clear Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897) on the birds.

Beautiful Trees Dies

Hi my lovely friends,

I have used the Beautiful Trees dies (#155840) for the tree on todays card. I know that the branches probably should be behind the cut-out leaves but I liked to see more of the branches as the leaves covered most of the branches. On the 2nd photo, I added some extra pieces of the detailed cut-out leaves and put on top of the branches.

I cut the solid part of the leaves from Garden Green card (#108605) and the detailed cut-out of the leaves from the Beauty Of The Earth Designer Series Paper (#155841). For the 2nd card I cut another piece of the detailed leaves and cut small pieces from this and randomly added on top of the branches so you can still see some of the branches. The trunk and branches were cut from Soft Suede card (#119982). These were assembled with the Fine Tip- Glue Pen (#138309).

I cut the Very Vanilla rectangle with a die from Natures Thoughts (#153586), then dry embossed with the Timber 3D Embossing Folder (#156406). This was attached to a piece of the Beauty Of The Earth DSP which was attached to the Very Vanilla base card.

“Thank You” from the Beauty Of Friendship stamp set (#154983) was stamped with Merry Merlot ink (#147112) and cut with a die from the Beautiful Trees Dies and attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). The birds were also cut from the same die set from Merry Merlot card (#147005) and also attached with Mini Dimensionals. I added the Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to the birds. The embellishment is from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#150457).

Beauty Of Friendship

Hi & welcome,

Here’s an easy card (after a busy day) using the Beauty Of Friendship Bundle (#155834).

The trunk & branches of the tree were stamped with Soft Suede ink (#147115) onto Basic White card (#159228). The leaves and sentiment were stamped with Old Olive ink (#147090). The tree and sentiment are from the Beauty Of Friendship stamp set (#154983). The tree was matted with Early Espresso card (#121686) and the corners were punched with the Detailed Trio Punch (#146320).

The Beauty Of The Earth Designer Series Paper (#155841) was dry embossed with one of the Greenery Embossing Folders (#152716), then attached to the Basic White base card.

The sentiment and birds were cut with dies from the Beautiful Trees Dies (#155840) and attached to the card with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). I used So Saffron card (#108611) for the birds.
