Dahlia Days Bundle

Hi again stamping friends,

The Dahlia Days stamp set (#157799) and the Detailed Dahlias Dies (#157801) are available in the Dahlia Days Bundle (#157802). Of course you can buy these separately but you save 10% when purchased as a bundle and who doesn’t like a bargain!!

I cut the top corner from the Basic White base card (#159228). I also cut the corner from the Abstract Beauty 4”x6” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158039). The larger piece of DSP is used for the card front and the smaller piece was attached to the Basic White insert as shown below.

I coloured the Metallic Mesh Ribbon (#153550) with a Blending Brush (#153611) and Pacific Point ink (#147098), then wrapped it around the DSP. This was attached to the base card.

“Happy Birthday” from Celebrating You stamp set (#158028) was stamped with Pacific Point ink. Then I stamped the “label” from the Dahlia Days stamp set. The dahlias were stamped with Real Red ink (#147084), Pacific Point ink, Daffodil Delight ink (#147094) and Gorgeous Grape ink (#147099). I used Garden Green ink (#147089) for the leaves. The sentiment, flowers and leaves were cut with the co-ordinating Detailed Dahlias Dies.

I attached one flower and leaf to the top of the “inside” of the card and the 3 flowers and 2 leaves to the front of the card. The sentiment and the gorgeous grape dahlia were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The embellishments are the Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels (#159396).

Forever Fern Stamp Set

Hello friends,

Over the last week I have concentrated on many of the retiring products, so thought today I would make a card with non retiring products. These leaves are from the Forever Fern stamp set (#152559).

I stamped 2 different leaf images with VersaMark (#102283) onto the Basic White card front (#159228). I embossed these with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155554) and set it with the Heat Tool (#129056). I then lightly coloured over the leaves with Soft Sea Foam ink (#147102) using a Blending Brush (#153611).

I attached the Gold & white striped paper from the Abstract Beauty 4”x6” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158039) to the Basic White card. The edges were daubered with Soft Sea Foam ink, then the card front was attached to the Soft Sea Foam base card (#147012).

I stamped 2 leaf images with Soft Sea Foam ink using the Stamparatus (#148187). Without moving the card I re-stamped with VersaMark and added Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155554) and set with the Heat Tool. These leaves and the Gold Foil (#132622) leaves were cut with the Forever Flourishing Dies (#152714). The Gold Foil was backed with Adhesive Sheet (#152334) which makes it easy to attach to the card. I attached the Gold Trim from the Simply Elegant Trim (#155766), then added the leaves with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

Happy Birthday is from the Celebrating You stamp set (#158028) and also Gold heat embossed. A Potted Succulents Die (#154330) was used to cut the sentiment then attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The beautiful Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136) were added to finish the card.

Blessings Of Home Bundle

Hello,

I find colouring is very relaxing, so I love colouring this beautiful floral image from the Blessings Of Home stamp set (#157930) with Stampin’ Blends.

The Stampin’ Blends used are Balmy Blue (#154830), Flirty Flamingo (#154884), Pale Papaya (#155519), Daffodil Delight (#154883), Fresh Freesia (#155518), Granny Apple Green (#154885) and Poppy Parade (#154958). A die from the Flowers Of Home Dies (#157938) was used to cut the image.

The foliage was also cut with the Flowers Of Home Dies and I used Gold Foil Sheets (#132622) which had been backed with Adhesive sheet (#152334).

One of the designs from the Abstract Beauty 4”x6” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158039) was used for the background. I used the Detailed Trio Punch (#146320) to punch the top left corner. This was then attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). The flowers were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430)

The sentiment is also from the Blessings Of Home stamp set and stamped with Night Of Navy ink (#147110). This was cut with the Messages Die (#154422) and taped on the flowers.

Daffodil Daydream Bundle

Hi stamping friends,

What a pretty card for Mother’s Day or for any special person or occasion, using the Daffodil Daydream Bundle (#157795) and some beautiful DSP & specialty paper.

The daffodil image from the Daffodil Daydream stamp set (#157786) was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) onto Basic White card (#159228). This was cut with the co-ordinating die from the Daffodil Dies (#157794). I used the Daffodil Delight (#154883) and Granny Apple Green (#154885) Stampin’  Blends to colour the flowers & leaves.

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set and stamped with Daffodil Delight ink (#147094) and cut with a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies (#152886). I used Daffodil Delight card (#121680) for the butterfly which was cut with a Daffodil die. I added Clear Wink Of Stella (#141897) to the butterfly and attached it to the sentiment with a Mini Glue Dot (#103683).

The striped DSP is from the Abstract Beauty 4”x6” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158039) and attached to the Basic White base card. I cut the Mother Of Pearl 12”x12” Specialty Paper (#157666) with an Ornate Layers Die (#152726). The Daffodils were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). The White Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#156408) was attached to the card under the sentiment and the sentiment was attached with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108).

The beautiful Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136) were added to the card.

Soaring Swallows Bundle

Welcome everyone,

The Soaring Swallows Bundle (#157810) was used for the bird & sentiment on this card. The bundle includes the Soaring Swallows stamp set (#157804) and the Swallow Dies (#157809) and when purchased as a bundle you save 10%.

The bird & sentiment were both stamped with VersaMark (#102283) and heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555), then set with the Heat Tool (#129056). Both were cut with dies from the Swallows dies.

I dry embossed the Basic White card front (#159228) with the stripes from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder (#157980), then attached the Abstract Beauty 4”x6” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158039).

The gold card from the Brushed Metallics 12”x12” cardstock (#153524) and the pink card from the Supple Shimmer 12”x12” Specialty Paper (#158068) were both cut with a Beautiful Shapes Die (#158046). The gold circle, the sentiment and the bird were attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

I daubered the card front with Polished Pink ink (#155712) before attaching it to the Basic White base card. The Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#158130) were added to the card.

Dahlia Days Bundle

Hi everyone,

The Dahlia Days Bundle (#157802) includes the Dahlia Days stamp set (#157799) and the Detailed Dahlias Dies (#157801). This is another one of my favourite sets.

I adhered Adhesive Sheets (#152334) the the back of the Gold Foil Sheet (#132622) before cutting with the Detailed Dahlia Dies. This was attached to the Blackberry Bliss card (#133682). I cut a triangle with the Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158039) and placed this on the card. The Base card is Basic White (#159228).

The Dahlia, small flowers and leaves are all images from the Dahlia Days stamp set. The Dahlia was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink (#147092). For the small flowers I also used Blackberry Bliss ink but used the Stampin’ Off method to get a lighter colour. The leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green ink (#147095). I used the co-ordinating dies in the Detailed Dahlia dies to cut these stamped images.

“Happy Birthday” is from the Special Moments stamp set (#158081) - a Sale-a-bration product. This was stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink then cut with a Potted Succulent die (#154330). The sentiment, dahlia and small flowers were all attached with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals (#144108). One of the Brushed Brass Butterflies (#158136) was added to the sentiment.

TIP: To do the Stampin’ Off Method, just ink the stamp as usual, then tap the stamp once onto scrap paper then stamp on the card. This gives a lighter colour, so some of the lighter colours may not work as well as darker ones. Just test it first before stamping on your card if you are unsure.

Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks

Hello & welcome,

I am loving the new products in the Mini Catalogue and one of my favourite products (although there are many!) is the  Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks (#158142).

I cut a piece of Basic White card (#159228) with a Scalloped Contours Die (#155560).

The Layering masks, as suggested, have 2 masks which allow layering. I used the “background” to colour the flowers. I used 4 colours for these flowers - Polished Pink (#155712), Highland Heather (#147103), Pale Papaya (#155670) and Daffodil Delight (#147094). Each of these colours were applied using the Blending Brushes (#153611). For the smaller flowers you may find it easier to use Sponge Daubers (#133773).

Then I placed the next mask on top and applied the Shimmery White Embossing Paste (#145645) using a Palette Knife (#142808). What a great effect.

The card front is from the Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158039). I wrapped the 2 pieces of the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon (#155714) around the corner of the card. The scalloped rectangle was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

“Happy Birthday” from the Art Gallery stamp set (#158201) was stamped with Magenta Madness ink (#153117) and cut with a Seasonal Labels die (#156299). This was also attached with Dimensionals. The trio of Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#158130) was added for some extra sparkle.

TIPWash your mask and palette knife as soon as you finish using the embossing paste as this dries very quickly and will be difficult to remove once dried.

Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks

Hi & welcome again,

When we look through a new catalogue and there is so much to take in, it is easy to miss some great products. I hope you don't miss the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks (#158142). I love the layering of the butterfly.

Firstly I cut the Basic White card (#159228) using a Scalloped Contours Die (#155560). There are 2 butterfly masks so I used the solid one first. I positioned this on the die cut white card and using a Blending Brush (#153611) with Balmy Blue ink (#147105), I coloured the background of the butterfly. I then positioned the detailed mask of the butterfly over the coloured image. I used a Palette Knife (#142808) to apply the Shimmery White Embossing Paste (#145645). I love the effect which is always better in real life. This doesn’t take long to dry so ensure you wash the palette knife & mask immediately to remove the excess paste.

I cut a piece of the Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158039) and attached this to the Balmy Blue card (#147007) which was dry embossed with the Splatters from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folders (#157980). The scalloped rectangle was attached to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430).

“Thinking Of You” is from the Beauty Of Friendship stamp set (#154983) and stamped with Balmy Blue ink then cut with a Stitched Rectangles Die (#151820). I added the Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels (#158130) to the card.

Tip: When using the embossing paste, apply the paste then wipe the knife over the whole image to remove any excess and return to the jar. No need to wast any. Also make sure you close the jar tight to stop it drying out. I also put the jar into a small plastic bag and keep it well sealed. This will ensure it will last longer and not dry out.

Friendly Hello Sale-a-bration

Hello my dear friends,

As mentioned yesterday, Sale-a-bration starts on 4th January, which means you get free products with a qualifying order (each $90 in Australia). Today I have used the Friendly Hello stamp set and Designer Series Paper (#159990) bundle which is free with a $180 order. I love how these co-ordinate so nicely.

The flowers from the stamp set fit perfectly on the flowers of the DSP, so I stamped the flowers with VersaMark (#102283) onto the DSP then heat embossed with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder (#155555). This was set with the Heat Tool (#129056). I cut the DSP with a Nature’s Thoughts Die (#153586), then matted this with Basic Black Card (#121688).

The gold and white stripe DSP is from the Abstract Beauty 4”x6” Specialty Designer Series Paper (#158039). This is a new size in Designer Series Paper and great for card fronts. I wrapped the Gold Shimmer Ribbon (#152156) around the card front then attached this to the Basic White base card (#159228).

The sentiment is from the Friendly Hello stamp set and stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The die from the Pretty Pillow Box dies (#156321) was used to cut the sentiment. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to attach this to the card.

The Genial Gems (#155500) were attached to the sentiment and flower centres.
